Pastor Neil's first sermon from this series will be from Ephesians 6 titled-"The Armor of God" More than ever, we need to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. God gives us the armor, and the power comes from Him. It's up to us to put it on and be ready to fight against our enemy. Are you ready to rumble?
In this week's message, we continued our exploration of the Sermon on the Mount, focusing on Jesus' teaching about the importance of cultivating spiritual fruit, particularly in relation to the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” Matthew 7:7-11 NLT Key Points: 1. The Tree and Its Fruit (Matthew 7:15-23): Jesus teaches that a tree is known by its fruit, and likewise, people are identified by their actions. Just as a good tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produces bad fruit, our lives will either produce lasting spiritual fruit or will be barren. True discipleship is marked not just by outward signs but by the fruit of godly character. 2. Gifts vs. Fruit: Bill explained the distinction between gifts and fruit. Gifts, such as prophecy or healing, are given by God and are seasonal. They empower us to serve, but they do not define our character. On the other hand, fruit—such as love, joy, peace, and patience—must be cultivated. Developing godly character takes intentional effort, like nurturing a tree in good soil. - Gifts are given, but fruit must be grown. Both are necessary, but while gifts are temporary, the fruit of the Spirit is eternal. - Character and Fruit: Without the fruit of the Spirit, even the most impressive spiritual gifts are ineffective. What will remain when we stand before God is not our gifts but the fruit of our character. Love, in particular, is the lasting fruit we must cultivate (1 Corinthians 13:8). 3. Cultivating Fruit: Bill emphasized the active work involved in cultivating the fruits of the Spirit. The soil of our hearts must be prepared through: - The Word of God: More than just reading, we need to understand and apply it. - Prayer: Following Jesus' example of constant communication with God. - Fellowship: Engaging with others helps shape our character. - Accountability: Allowing others to speak into our lives for correction and growth (Galatians 6:2, Hebrews 3:13). In conclusion, while gifts are vital for ministry, it's the fruit of our lives that will have eternal value. We are called to cultivate character that reflects Christ and brings glory to God.
What's the secret to happiness? 1st Thessalonians 5:16 says 'Always be joyful.' So, have you ever felt you had more than your fair share of problems? Join us on Conquer Wednesday whilst listening to a Soulful meditation penned Choose joy, Choose happiness. Sometimes it's our attitude towards the burdens weighing us down. At most we carry and focus on the mountain of problems we have, instead of trusting and asking God to restore the happiness and joy back. Even though our circumstances might remain the same, despite the burdens thank God, bless God and soon over time you will see small results again. You will feel empowered to take control of your thoughts and emotions rather than let them control you and rob you of your happiness. So, as I was prompted the beginning of the year to 'Speak to God More,' I was retraining my mind to God's generosity instead of life's letdowns. And as you tune in relax your mind and in your quiet state, thank God, praise God and ask God. So 'always be joyful' even when life gives you lemons, when people hurt us or when our circumstances seem hopeless, the best remedy is 'never stop praying.' Remember being joyful always doesn't mean we have to walk around with a fake smile, neither suppress but work on speaking positive over our lives and thanking God no matter the blessings big or small. Count your blessings instead of your burdens and let's not let our feelings dictate our joy. So the secret of happiness is simple, 'Count your blessings over burdens.'
Sin usually has consequences in some way or another. Jacob's sin was deceit and in a chain of events, he lived with polygamy. He was married to two sisters, Rachel and Leah. Can you imagine? How they battled for his love, affection, and time is weird. They had a baby race as Pastor Mark tells us today. I want to leave you with some food for thought. What are your steps to attaining love? Do you base it on emotion? Or does it grow and develop because you've accepted that God has a reason for what He does? Leah had to learn this. And maybe we all need to depend on God MORE than others for the love we seek.

Geoff Lanham | Psalm 19:1-6 | Hebrews 13:15-16 | Ephesians 5:15-20 We all know that worship is in some way important, but in the end what difference does it make that over 100 of us gather within our building each week to praise God? More than we might realise, says Geoff, because we are part of a much bigger picture which involves the whole of creation and the nature of God himself. There's plenty of encouragement here for each of us, however feeble our efforts might seem, to join in worship.Discussion questions can be downloaded here. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Is God real, a question that has been asked throughout the ages has been about the ultimate deity. Another right up there with it is the crusade of how to find God? Where is God? More recently it has been, is God dead. We as a race, the human race, have gone to such extremes... The post How To Find God – UYT050 appeared first on Learn Intuition with Dr Lesley Phillips.
"I keep praying and God doesn't seem to be listening to me" "Why is God giving me the opposite of my prayers?" In my search for understanding, one of the strongest lessons I learned are: ⇢ the same events that we think would leave us feeling like we lost something important-something that we thought belonged to us was taken away-are the same events that bring those things to us. ⇢ The method might be in a different to get it (the shape it comes in or the path we go through) But it is what we wished, need and asked for. 216 One other thing, we won't necessarily understand it all... Or it might take time... الإيمان بالغيب Believing in the unseen is part of the religion the challenge. IF we all see what it is all the time it's not anymore believing in the unseen? Our job is to ask and seek, God replies: 1⇢ the way He sees best (How) فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَى الْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ (61 [ الشعراء : 61] 2⇢the time He sees best (When) حَتَّى يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ مَتَى نَصْرُ اللَّهِ سورة البقرة اية 216 They didn't know when Gods help would come, or when they would die or when people would believe them or when the day of Judgment would be Whatever shape and path and whenever it comes with. The real question is.. do we trust God? More tomorrow about dealing with not knowing- or when we find ourselves asking the question Why... why is this happening or if I only knew why I could move on.
