AD Zac Selmon made the in-season move ahead of the NCAA transfer portal opening and December signing days. Hot lists are bubbling but Selmon warns not to read into anything his thinking. Meanwhile the Bulldogs under interim coach Greg Knox host in-state opponent Southern Mississippi this Saturday morning. State can back-door into bowl eligibility on academic standing with a win this week or in the Battle for the Golden Egg.

Well, a lot's happened since we last podcasted. Dan's gone, Scott Stricklin listened to Jake and hired Billy Napier, Greg Knox beat FSU, and Dameon Pierce got double digit carries. But Gainesville's relatively quiet compared to the craziness in college football right now. We break down our thoughts on the Billy hire, before diving into the unbelievable Brian Kelly and Lincoln Riley moves. Go Gators. Go college football. Learn more about your ad choices. After the news of the firing of Dan Mullen, the Florida Gators had 1 more home game in the swamp vs a in state rival Florida State, Greg Knox the special teams coach was the interim coach and he did a hell of a job for the win. The final score was 24-21 with Gators on top and with that win the gators are bowl eligible and will have a chance to head into 2022 on a positive note. But with even more exciting news the Gators have found there new head coach and his name is Billy Napier, head coach of Louisiana Lafayette and has a amazing track sheet. 4 seasons overall record of 39-12 4x conference champion 3 10 win seasons So it seems to be fitting to bring him in and i personally think this was a good hire but its going to be about the guys he brings in and how well can he recruit, I think its time for Gator Nation to finally have a stepping stool into consistency of a program but what do I know?....Only time will tell Thanks for listening to this episode of the FatFloridaFanPodcast! The Florida Gators fall short in a sec matchup against Missouri, not the outcome you was looking for if your a gator fan but with the outcome of that game has led to Coach Dan Mullen being fired as the Florida Gators Head Coach. Not something people expected to happen after 1 year from being in the sec championship game a year ago but its a fact that Dan Mullen lost his team and could not recover so it was time to part ways. I Wish the best to Dan Mullen in his next job and things but now how does The Gators recover from this? Words are speculating on Coach Billy Napier from Louisiana Lafayette not to sure yet but Florida might be keyed in. With Dan Mullen being fired seems to be Greg Knox will be interim head coach against Fsu with both teams being 5-6, not the season Florida wanted but can they at least win the state of Florida? BIG SHOUTOUT TO THE FLORIDA BASKETBALL TEAM FOR THW IN OVER OHIO STATE 71-68, CAN THEY KEEP IT UP? Find Out On This Episode Of The FatFloridaFanPodcast! Florida and Florida State will renew their rivalry after a hiatus thanks to college football's pandemic rules a year ago and this year the rivalry carries some huge implications for the future of both programs. The Seminoles opened the year 0-4 and somehow find themselves one win away from bowl eligibility. They had their struggles but have found a rhythm to carry them to the brink of 6-6 and their first bowl berth since the Sun Bowl loss in 2019. They appear to be peaking at the right time and find their rival heading the other way. The Gators are now led by interim coach Greg Knox after Dan Mullen's firing earlier this week. Less than 365 days ago, Florida was No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings but have got 5-9 since with wins against mostly Group of 5 programs. Could this be the time to sweep the Gators and Canes in the same year and reclaim the state title? Brian Pellerin and Jon Marchat take you through that plus the candidates for Florida's opening, recap the Boston College victory and give Brian's best bets for the upcoming Thanksgiving college football weekend.
On Monday's show, Steve sits down to break down the firing of Dan Mullen and what the Gators head coaching search might consist of. Also, hear from Gators interim head coach Greg Knox.
Florida definitely has no shortage of running backs heading into the 2021 season, but in order to get on the field, the coaches are looking for more than just running the ball. David Waters breaks down what running backs coach Greg Knox expressed to his ball carriers about all aspects of playing the position. Also, Malik Davis shares his thoughts on the running back room and Tre'Vez Johnson dives into playing the STAR position on defense. Greg Knox is the Executive Director for SkeenaWild. Over the past 14 years he has dedicated himself to the preservation of Skeena salmon and protecting the critical habitat they need not only to survive, but thrive. Although there is growing concern about the continual pressures mounting against wild salmon, like climate change, habitat loss and depleting stocks, he continues to show up everyday to ensure wild salmon have a future in the Skeena by advocating for better resource management, long-term habitat protections and building stronger community collaborations that result in a sustainable future for wild Skeena salmon.

Bob Trewyn and Greg Knox with Russell Barnett Ford of Tullahoma stop by to give us insight on the benefits of purchasing a new food truck, and specifically food trucks built with a Morgan Olson Chassis. You can point to a wide range of issues impacting wild salmon stocks along Canada's west coast and beyond, and in many ways we all shoulder the blame. Restoring wild salmon stocks is also going to take a group effort, says Greg Knox, CEO of the Skeena Wild Conservation Trust. And yet, Gitxsan First nations chiefs have taken a different approach and are now demanding all forms of salmon fishing be shut down throughout the Skeena watershed as a conservation measure with one exception, their own. This week on Blue Fish Radio we discuss why a group conservation effort is in the best long-term interests of the Skeena, its wildlife and the various communities that consider the Skeena home.
Dan Mullen's offense has had success with a certain style of QB. Is there any on Florida's roster that fit the mold right away? Kadarius Toney just might get another shot in a more suited offense.
