When you look back over your life, you can probably trace it to a handful of defining moments — decisions that quietly but powerfully shaped your entire story. In this episode, we unpack The Power of Right Decisions and how small, seemingly insignificant choices can radically alter the trajectory of a life and a marriage.Through personal stories and Scripture, we're reminded that faithfulness in little things matters, wise decisions shape our future, and obedience is our responsibility — the results belong to the Lord.
"I was told I needed a multi-level fusion. I didn't even know disc replacement existed." Nick's back pain started in his early 20s. After a discectomy in his mid-20s, he returned to an active life — until years later when severe sciatica came back and began affecting everything from his ability to put on a belt or sit in a chair. Multiple surgical consultations led to the same recommendation: spinal fusion. But Nick, an active CPA, soon-to-be dad, and lifelong athlete, wasn't willing to accept that as his only option. In this episode, Nick shares what happened when he pushed for clarity instead of settling for a single answer. Through additional opinions and independent research, he discovered a motion-preserving alternative to fusion, called artificial disc replacement. That realization ultimately led him to VSI and Spine Surgeon Dr. Ehsan Jazini, where Nick learned he was a candidate for a three-level disc replacement. Today, he reports zero back pain since surgery and has returned to skiing, running, swimming, weightlifting and living without restrictions. This conversation explores important questions for anyone facing spine surgery: How do you know if you're being told about all your options? When should you get a second—or fourth—opinion? What is the difference between spinal fusion and artificial disc replacement? What does recovery look like after multi-level disc replacement surgery? If you've been told spinal fusion is your only option, or if you're scheduling your life around your back pain, this episode could change your path forward. Ready to explore your options? Visit VSIspine.com to schedule a consultation with a spine specialist who can discuss both fusion and disc replacement candidacy.

“Navigating Tight Margins with Financial Mastery” dives straight into the realities of today's ag economy. Grant Wiese joins the Farm4Profit crew to unpack how producers can manage risk, make data-backed marketing decisions, and plan for the future—even when margins are razor thin.Listeners will hear how knowing your true cost of production can transform decision-making. Many farmers can quote a yield goal, but few know their exact breakeven per acre. Grant explains why that's dangerous, especially when a small swing in grain price—say, $4.25 vs. $4.75 corn—can make or break profitability. We explore:What separates top-performing farms from the rest: discipline, review frequency, and financial clarity. The tools and tactics that make cost tracking doable, not daunting—like Farm 640's break-even calculators, enterprise analysis, and scenario planning tools. How to decide whether an input (like fungicide) is worth it—or if it's better to pocket the margin.Strategies for 2026 planning, especially for those facing lender pressure or uncertain financing.Grant also addresses one of the most overlooked challenges in ag finances: family living costs. Are they still silently eating into farm cash flow? And how can farmers balance growth and survival when every acre and dollar count?
