Wisconsin Herd and NBA G League star Jalen Lecque taps in to the Truck Bryant Show with host Truck Bryant!
The biggest deal of 2022 happened just hours before the deadline when the Brooklyn Nets agreed to send James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Ben Simmons, a move that shakes up two major Eastern Conference contenders. The Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets had trade discussions centered around swapping Russell Westbrook for John Wall, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, with the deal stalling after the Rockets wanted further compensation. The Lakers also had traction on a three-team deal with the Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks that would have involved trading guard Talen Horton-Tucker, but fell apart because of draft picks that would have needed to be included, sources told ESPN. Chris Paul was considered damaged goods when he was dealt from Houston to Oklahoma City. All the Point God did with the Thunder was up his value and turn himself into a wanted commodity. Enter Phoenix. They picked up Paul for Kelly Oubre Jr., Ricky Rubio, Jalen Lecque, Ty Jerome and a protected 2022 first-round pick. It worked out pretty well for Phoenix, as Paul led the Suns to the NBA Finals in his first year in the Valley. visual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTae77W_CDE #nba #suns #lakers #thunder #sports #knicks #newyork #houston #rockets #jamesharden #losangeleslakers #athletes #trending

Alex and Facci kick off the show discussing the NBA Trade Deadline, and how the moves impacted the Pacers. The guys look closely at the Victor Oladipo trade and compare it to the deal Indiana made for him, potential buyout candidates with the departure of Jalen Lecque and what the T.J. Warren injury means for the current Pacers team. Later, Alex is joined by Derek Schultz to discuss the news of Oshae Brissett, the Pacers inactivity at the deadline, the reason Derek said this team was "boring" in a tweet a few weeks ago, the missed draft picks that have set this team back over the last 4 seasons and why Pacers fans should give Bjorkgren a longer time to prove himself with a healthy roster + the reason you should be monitoring this team closely down the stretch of the season: Caris LeVert.

It's Wednesday and you already know WTF that means. Tom and Jordan are back with another episode of Subject 2 Change. Today we had two of our favorites hop on: Cassius Stanley and Jalen Lecque! Our guys have rocked with OT for a minute. They've both done the OT Challenge so the know what Overtime is all about. We talked about the old times and the new times. We kicked things off by asking what it's been like BEING TEAMMATES for the Indiana Pacers. They both are loving life in Indianapolis, but currently are balling down in Orlando's G League Bubble. Then we started talking about life off the court. Apparently my guy Cassius is all about Gossip Girl (LMAO), while Jalen be on that Anime. It didn't take long for us to get to the good stuff however. We just straight up asked them WHO HAS MORE BOUNCE? I'm not gonna tell you what the answer was, but lets just say we can expect to see them both in the 2022 NBA Dunk Contest… There's always a point where Tom has to talk about Lamelo Ball, so you know that happened. This convo was good though cause, Cassius is actually his boy, and called us out for posting Lamelo way too much….He ain't lying. We couldn't' have these guys on the pod and not talk about the glory days, AKA High School…Cassius talked about all the famous people who would go to his games and the time when Drake, YES THAT DRAKE pulled up, but there wasn't a spot for his Rolls Royce. SMDH Jalen had a different experience in NYC and South Carolina but played against some CRAZY competition like ZION, Coby White and Tom's favorite, Devon Dotson. Oh yeah, we also talked about boxing. Cassius isn't afraid of Ryan Garci and Jalen really thinks he could have a career in fighting after basketball! Most importantly: Jordan vs Julian Newman can we get a fight date?
Welcome Cassius Stanley and Jalen Lecque. Goodbye T.J. Leaf. 5 more player recaps from 2019-2020 season.
This episode of Ballcourt - Coach Drew analyzes the drafts and potential trades for the NBA Draft 2020. Everything is moving at a fast pace. The season will be back up in 30 days. Wow! Topics Include: NBA coming back at a fevered pace Tentative 2020/21 NBA schedule: December 22: Opening night. All-Star Break (minus an ASG): March 5-10May 16: Regular season endsMay 17-to-21: Play-in tournament for 7-to-10 seeds. May 22: First-round playoffsJune 7: Conference semifinalsJune 22: Conference FinalsJuly 8-22: NBA Finals Draft Results 2020 Draft Notes: Anthony Edwards SG Georgia Edwards, at 6-5 with a 6-9 wingspan and elite athletic tools, is a natural shooting guard that could potentially defend 1-3 and even make enough plays for teammates to moonlight as a point guard. His best trait by far is his overall scoring. While Edwards isn't quite an elite shooter yet, he is a sophisticated individual shot-creator for his age that gets to the basket and thrives in transition. He'll put the ball in the basket from Day 1. James Wiseman C Memphis His raw talent virtually guaranteed that would be the case. Wiseman is an elite athlete at 7-1, and with a 7-6 wingspan, he has the tools to be among the NBA's best rim-protectors. Lamelo Ball G Ilwara Hawks Ball, a 6-7 point guard, is one of the best passers ever to enter the NBA Draft. He shares his brother's gift for showmanship in transition, but pairs it with a far more functional arsenal of half-court passes that should make him an effective pick-and-roll ball-handler from the moment he steps on an NBA floor. Obi Toppin PF Dayton Toppin is going to be an excellent pick-and-roll finisher even as a rookie thanks to his elite leaping ability and craft near the basket. That alone makes him a valuable offensive player. The new look NBA ( trades and rumors) Suns acquire Chris Paul from ThunderThe Oklahoma City Thunder have traded Chris Paul to the Phoenix Suns for four players and a first-round draft pick on Monday. The Suns sent Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round pick to Oklahoma City. The first-round pick is protected from the first 12 picks in 2022, the first 10 picks in 2023, the first eight selections in 2024 and is unprotected in 2025. Los Angeles Lakers acquire Dennis Schroder from Oklahoma CityThe Los Angeles Lakers have an agreement in principle to acquire Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dennis Schröder, sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The Lakers would send the No. 28 pick in Wednesday’s NBA Draft to the Thunder as part of the deal, sources said. Guard Danny Green is being discussed as the player going to Oklahoma City in return. Bucks trade for Jrue Holiday, Bogdan BogdanovicThe Milwaukee Bucks reshaped their roster around two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo Monday night, agreeing to trade for New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday, sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The Bucks are sending Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, three first-round picks and two future draft pick swaps to New Orleans, The Philadelphia 76ers are trading veteran shooting guard Josh Richardson to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for veteran shooting guard, Seth Curry, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal includes the Sixers' No. 36 overall pick. World of Basketball ◦ New Zealand Breakers RJ Hampton goes 24th to Bucks Hampton, a 6-foot-5 guard, played a season for the New Zealand Breakers of Australia's National Basketball League for what he called a "small pit-stop in my career." The Thunder and Lakers have reached an agreement to trade Dennis Schroeder for the 28th pick in this year’s NBA Draft, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA. Danny Green is expected to be apart of this trade as well to match salaries. The Thunder will look to expand this trade to flip Danny Green for more assets. The Detroit Pistons have traded G Bruce Brown to the Brooklyn Nets for F Dzanan Musa and a 2021 second round pick, sources tell ESPN. OKC has traded Chris Paul to Phoenix for Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and draft compensation, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Milwaukee Bucks have traded Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, and three first round picks to New Orleans Pelicans for Jrue Holiday, sources tell @ShamsCharania. Houston Rockets are trading Robert Covington to Portland Trailblazers for Trevor Ariza, 2020 first round pick, and 2021 first round pick, sources tell @wojespn. Milwaukee Bucks are trading Donte Divincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova, and DJ Wilson to Sacaramento for Bogdan Bogdanovic in a sign & trade deal, sources tell @wojespn. Milwaukee’s Wesley Matthews will decline his $2.7M player option for the 2020-21 season and become a free agent, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. With the impending trade of Danny Green. We shall most likely see the Lakers make a strong push to sign Wesley Matthews to fill that role. Avery Bradley is expected to decline his $5M player option with the Lakers and enter free agency, via ESPN. Updated look at OKC Thunder's future draft picks 2020: Nuggets 1st round pick Lakers 1st-rd pick 2021: Own 1st Heat 1st HOU pick-swap 2022: Own 1st Clips 1st Suns 1st 2023: Own 1st Clips pick-swap Heat 1st 2024: Own 1st Clips 1st HOU 1st 2026: Own 1st Clips 1st HOU 1st The Hawks are in talks with the Celtics about acquiring Gordon Hayward. I do not know how the numbers get to matchup with the lack of big contracts on the books of the Hawks to match Hayward’s $32 million contract. They would have to combine Capela, Dedmon, and few young pieces to make it work and I do not know who if it is worth the Hawks to gut their future to win now. Russell Westbrook wants out of Houston. Where will he end up? Reports are that Westbrook wants to return to his role as the lead guy of an organization. At his age and coming off of an injury, who will be willing to sacrifice for maybe a couple of good years left? There have been reports that the Rockets are in trade talks to trade Westbrook to the Wizards for John Wall. It would be great to watch Westbrook play with Bradley Beal especially with the evolution of Bradley Beal’s game reaching new heights last season as he averaged 30 PPG. Will James Harden get traded? If so, will it be Brooklyn? They have moved up the list for him but it seems that some Nets’ players are reluctant on bringing Harden to Brooklyn. The other teams mentioned have been the Sixers & Heat. The Nets seem to be prepared to throw the “kitchen sink” to the Rockets without including Kyrie or KD. Personally, I would make rather see Harden in Philadelphia with Embiid as the Sixers trade Simmons to Houston. That duo would be one of the best in the league if not the second best behind LeBron and AD. It would be somewhat similar.

As we all know, the Phoenix Suns made a flurry of moves before, during, and after this year's NBA Draft. Those moves, however, have been universally panned by pundits. But, in typical Podcast of Optimism fashion, we use this episode of Fanning the Flames to explain why Suns Nation needs to R-E-L-A-X, as we discuss each of the moves made by the Suns on draft day: - trading TJ Warren to the Pacers; - trading the #6 pick to the Timberwolves in exchange for the #11 pick and Dario Saric; - acquiring Aron Baynes and the #24 pick from the Celtics; - selecting Cam Johnson and Ty Jerome; and - signing Jalen Lecque. Also, if you're coming out to Summer League, we are co-hosting a get together for Suns fans with the guys from The Solar Panel.
