The Chicago Bulls have gone from a dominant 5-0 start to a sudden 1-3 slide, and the numbers tell a clear story. After opening the season as a top-five offense and defense, Chicago has fallen into the bottom 10 in both categories over the last four games. Rim attacks are down nearly 25%, free throw rate has crashed to bottom five in the league, and the Bulls' assists, rebounds, and turnovers have all dipped to league-average levels. In this episode, Haize breaks down why the Bulls' early-season identity has faded, how injuries to Ayo Dosunmu, Zach LaVine, and Coby White have impacted spacing and playmaking, and why Billy Donovan must ride the hot hand instead of sticking with struggling lineups. We dive into the importance of Nikola Vucevic and Matas Buzelis being consistently impactful, plus why Buzelis' point-of-attack defense is the next leap he must take to approach true two-way stardom. Then we break down voicemail reactions from Bulls fans on late-game execution, Donovan's coaching decisions, the Ayo minutes restriction, and Artūras Karnišovas' trade flexibility with over $60 million in expiring contracts and a $17 million TPE.Podcast Links: https://linktr.ee/BullsCentralPodGet at us:Email: BullsCentralPod@gmail.comTwitter:@BullsCentralPodPhone: (773) 270-2799Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/chicago-bulls-central/exclusive-contentAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Under his leadership, Circulate has completed more than a thousand treatments across 24 clinics and published data showing an average 2.6-year slowdown in biological aging.“Therapeutic plasma exchange isn't just for rare hospital cases anymore. We're learning it can lower inflammation, clear out harmful proteins, and even reduce microplastics — all things tied to how fast we age.” — Dr. Brad YounggrenWe talk about:What TPE actually is (and how it differs from a blood donation). Results from the Circulate Trial and why they matter. How plasma exchange impacts inflammation, senescent cells, and lipids.Early research on microplastics and cognitive decline. Why partnerships with clinics may be the fastest path to making longevity care more accessible.Dr. Younggren also shares his own journey from combat medicine to pioneering new frontiers in healthspan, and where he sees longevity breakthroughs heading in the next decade.
One idea I've had lately is to put together a list of people to trust in geroscience and the longevity field more broadly. (And I might do it - keep an eye on reachlevity.com- and subscribe while you're at it!)Matt Kaeberlein would not only make that list - he'd likely be right at the top. He's rigorous, precise in his wording, and always puts integrity ahead of hype. But, and this is important, I wouldn't characterize him as a skeptic. He's a realist who insists on evidence, yet at the same time he's visionary and deeply optimistic about what aging science can deliver.Matt is probably best known for his pioneering work on rapamycin and for co-founding the Dog Aging Project. In this episode, though, we also talk about Optispan - his proactive healthcare company - and Ora Biomedical, where the WormBot platform is screening thousands of interventions for effects on lifespan. We get into therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), how artificial intelligence might accelerate discovery, and even his favorite science fiction books. And true to form, Matt doesn't hold back. He calls out irresponsible use of biological age tests - going so far as to label it “medical malpractice” - and criticizes hype-driven actors, sloppy science communication, and the inertia of institutions like the NIH. At the same time, he shows how rigorous, honest work could move the entire field forward.-----
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about breakthrough therapies for chronic illness recovery including EBOO and TPE. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. Tami Lyday. Tami Lyday, DO, MS has been a physician since 2006 and a functional and integrative specialist since 2017. Prior to that, she spent 11 years as a family practitioner but was never quite satisfied with conventional medical approaches. Her mother's illness and subsequent side effects of traditional treatments prompted her to learn more about integrative medicine, and she has not looked back. Dr. Lyday believes functional and integrative medicine is the best way to ensure lasting recovery as it helps patients determine the root of their health issues and does not rely on medications that treat symptoms while ignoring the underlying causes of illness. She pursued training and certifications in functional and integrative medicine, including specialty training and certifications in the treatment of mold-related illnesses and Lyme disease. At the time of her certification, she was one of only 26 practitioners in the world who were Shoemaker certified in mold treatment protocols. After 4 years as a functional and integrative medical practitioner, she opened The Lyday Center to provide a dedicated resource for people who are suffering from mystery illnesses and ailments that don't respond to conventional treatment and are seeking natural solutions to their chronic illnesses. Since that time, she has expanded her specialties to include the treatment of thyroid disorders and overall energy levels. Her mission is to heal the world one patient at a time. Key Takeaways: How much does environmental toxicity contribute to chronic illness? How is a patient tested for mold illness? What binders are most commonly used for detoxification? Do natural binders have a place? What is the role of Actinobacteria and endotoxins in CIRS patients? Can a patient have fungal colonization and potentially benefit from antifungals? Does treating mold also treat Lyme and coinfections? How important is working on the limbic system to set the stage for healing? How might EBOO and TPE support those with autoimmunity? Where in a recovery timeline do EBOO and TPE best fit? Does Hashimoto's occur without mold? What is the role of EBOO? What is the EBOO process? What is done before and after EBOO to support the patient? Can patients have detoxification or Herxheimer reactions after EBOO or TPE? How might EBOO and TPE help those with Long COVID? What types of infections might EBOO support? What is the role of TPE? What is the TPE process? What types of toxicants and toxins can be filtered out? How is the removed plasma replaced Might beneficial materials be removed with TPE? Can EBOO or TPE help those with neurodegenerative conditions? In this episode of Longevity by Design, Dr. Gil Blander welcomes Dr. Eric Verdin, President and CEO of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. Eric discusses the science behind therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) and its potential to slow biological aging in humans. The conversation explores findings from a recent clinical trial, including measurable age reversal using epigenetic clocks.Eric explains how removing and replacing plasma can dilute pro-aging factors in the blood, a concept inspired by earlier animal studies on parabiosis. He also describes why rigorous, placebo-controlled human trials are crucial for validating longevity interventions and distinguishing the field from hype-driven wellness trends. The episode also highlights how omics data, such as metabolomics and proteomics, are shaping a new era of precision aging research. Eric emphasizes the value of lifestyle interventions as a foundation and sees future opportunities in combining TPE with personalized strategies to extend healthspan. Guest-at-a-Glance

Now I want to take some of that knowledge out of the lab and into the hands of people who can really use it.On this podcast I talk about all things aging and healthspan, from supplements and nutrition to the latest discoveries in longevity research. My goal is to lift the veil on the geroscience and longevity world and help you apply what we know to your own personal health trajectory. I care about quality science and will always be honest about what I don't know. I hope you'll find these episodes hel

He also discusses the role of hope in heart patients, and a trial that found statins did not worsen depression in those affected. Mindful eating is also covered, with data showing it's linked to higher-quality, plant-based dietary patterns. Chew your food and be grateful.
