Nate and Danny hand out offseason grades for all 15 Western Conference teams, analyzing each front office's approach in free agency, trades, and the draft. They highlight Dallas' aggressive moves to build around Cooper Flagg, Denver's big move for Cam Johnson, and Golden State's crossroads as they navigate their aging core. The Rockets' eventful offseason, the Clippers' reshuffling around James Harden, and the Lakers' attempts to refocus around Luka Doncic get close inspection. The second half covers controversial trades like Memphis moving Desmond Bane, Minnesota's financial risk on Naz Reid, and the Pelicans' lack of direction. They finish with OKC's conservative approach post-Finals run, Phoenix's pivot without Durant, and promising youth-focused moves by San Antonio and Utah.Timestamps by team:Dallas Mavericks: 00:00:21Denver Nuggets: 00:18:03Golden State Warriors: 00:30:27Houston Rockets: 00:42:22LA Clippers: 00:49:19LA Lakers: 00:58:38Memphis Grizzlies: 01:10:19Minnesota Timberwolves: 01:23:39New Orleans Pelicans: 01:33:31Oklahoma City Thunder: 01:41:45Phoenix Suns: 01:46:41Portland Trail Blazers: 01:55:13Sacramento Kings: 02:02:05San Antonio Spurs: 02:07:34Utah Jazz: 02:13:15 Join Dunc'd On Prime! Aniello Piro and Brandon Stokley with Mark Schlereth kick off the fourth hour unpacking their guest spot with James Merilatt, discussing the pressure that Barron has to perform immediately as they set expectations for the rest of the defense. Stink gives his take on the Nuggets’ offseason after Cam Johnson was introduced as a member of the Nuggets and he gives his read on the Jonas Valanciunas situation after some good news from Ben Tenzer. All three guys air their grievances against Mike as Stink gets to see how big the Big Board of BS has gotten. They chat about the Broncos’ skill positions. Aniello, Stink, and Stoke finish today’s show breaking down everything on Marvin Mims’ plate between his duties on offense and special teams.
In hour 4 of The Drive, Phil and Richie debate who the Broncos number two receiver will be with so many options. Will Troy Franklin and Bo Nix figure out their connection issues we saw last season? Does Pat Bryant have a chance to pass Franklin, Mims and Vele, in his rookie season? We hear from the newly added Nugget, Cam Johnson and his thoughts on what he will bring to the team. Could the Avalanche be in the same position they were just a year ago with Marty Necas looking for a new contract like Mikko Rantanen was? How much would the guys be willing to pay Necas? We wrap up the show with Richie’s idea for who should take the final place on the Nuggets roster.
In hour 2 of The Drive, Phil and Richie debate who the Broncos number two receiver will be with so many options. Will Marvin Mims be able to use his speed on the outside and middle of the field? 9News Broncos insider Mike Klis joins the show to discuss who will be the Broncos number two receiver, what Jahdae Barron’s role will be on the defense, and if the Broncos defense can repeat their success from last year and be a top 5 NFL defense. Today’s “Three Count” features FanDuel’s social media putting out “odds” for the average showers per week, Rockies attendance this season outperforming their 2007 famous “Rocktober” season, and reacting to DaRon Holmes impressive summer league. We hear from the Nuggets recent addition, Cam Johnson as he held his introductory press conference today. What were the guy’s first impressions of Cam and how will Jokic be able to elevate Cam’s game?
Hour 1 of The Drive kicks off with Phil and Richie cross talking with John and Danny. The guys discuss what the addition of Cam Johnson will bring to the Nuggets that Michael Porter Jr. was lacking. While Patrick Surtain is the face of the Broncos defense, we debate who else has the highest ceiling on the defense. Will Nik Bonitto be able to build off his success from last year? While Deion Sanders’ time in Boulder has been untraditional, he has been on a roll lately with high school recruiting. Phil shares about his time being recruited by CU and how Deion has made Boulder a place that top tier athletes want to come to.
In the final hour, John and Danny talked about certain athletes that left Denver and left the guys heartbroken. CBS Sports has the Broncos top offensive trio ranked 21st in the NFL, would they rank higher if they drafted Omarion Hampton instead of RJ Harvey? The guys closed out the show by hearing from Cam Johnson, Ben Tenzer, and Jon Wallace.
In hour 4 of The Drive, Phil and Richie continue their conversation on the Nuggets upgrade from Michael Porter Jr. to Cam Johnson. We react to both Colin Cowherd and Kay Adams’ praise and high expectations for the Broncos. Could the Broncos go out and win 12-13 games this season? Could Bo Nix be a 4,000 yard passer with the addition of more offensive weapons? We revisit our conversation with Trez Walker from earlier in the show and his comments on both quarterback and what they bring to the Buffs. What does it mean that CU brought both quarterbacks to media day? How will the different skill sets of Juju Lewis and Kaiden Salter impact which one gives the Buffs the best chance to win? We wrap up the show with recapping the RJ Harvey signing with the Broncos and what he missed by signing today.
Aniello Piro and Jake Shapiro with Mark Schlereth kick off the fourth hour addressing the Vegas over/under win totals for the AFC West. David Adelman made some, uh, interesting comments about Jonas Valanciunas and his role with the Nuggets during Summer League game one. Jeff talks about that and Cam Johnson's perfect 'fit' with the Nuggets and how it's probably more about defensive dexterity than it is offensive fit. Enjoy the show!

They then share their thoughts on the Nuggets' roster and organization, and what they are looking forward to most about playing with Nikola Jokic. The NBA offseason has delivered shocking moves that have dramatically altered the league landscape for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Drake's new track "What Did I Miss" perfectly captures the theme of loyalty being tested throughout professional basketball, both on and off the court.• Milwaukee Bucks waiving Damian Lillard while still owing him $22.5 million annually for five years• Houston Rockets emerging as offseason winners with additions of Clint Capela, Kevin Durant, and Finney-Smith Jr• Denver Nuggets improving by trading Michael Porter Jr for Cam Johnson and bringing back Bruce Brown• Detroit Pistons making questionable moves acquiring Duncan Robinson and Karis LeVert while losing key shooters• Nicholas Alexander Walker leaving Minnesota for Atlanta on a four-year, $62 million deal• Oklahoma City Thunder giving Shai Gilgeous-Alexander a massive $285 million extension• Eastern Conference wide open with Boston, Indiana, and Milwaukee all dealing with significant injuries• Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, and Cleveland Cavaliers positioned to potentially rise in the EastLet me know in the comments what you think about these NBA moves, who made the best trades, and which teams you believe will be contenders next season. Thanks for the support and just rocking with me on my journey all Love Stay Blessed
Munaf Manji and Mackenzie Rivers discuss the NBA season that has wrapped up. Free agent moves and much more. Kevin Durant's Arrival in Houston (1:45–9:11) Durant was acquired for Green and a pick, with minimal downgrade to rotation. Mackenzie assigned a +3 point net value to Houston, projecting a 58-win season via Pythagorean models. Houston now features elite coaching (Ime Udoka) and depth across positions. Denver Nuggets Strengthen (14:57–20:38) Cam Johnson, Bruce Brown, and a potential Valanciunas deal enhance Jokic's support. Mackenzie noted improved flexibility and defense. Despite Vegas favoring them less in regular season, they're top-tier playoff contenders. Milwaukee Bucks Crisis (24:13–29:18) Dame waived for financial and personal reasons. Miles Turner signs for $107M but doesn't replace Lopez's defense. Mackenzie ranks them 20th in power ratings despite Vegas' 40:1 title odds. Janis likely to be traded soon. Lakers Sign DeAndre Ayton (33:31–37:25) Ayton brings personality and effort concerns. His 18% rim contest rate is worst among centers. Despite teaming up with Luka/LeBron, Mackenzie predicts defensive issues. Projects 43.5 wins, lower than market's 46.5. LeBron's Decision (37:26–42:08) He picks up $53M player option but keeps future open. Trade to GS for Jimmy Butler floated. Lakers prioritize future cap space over winning now—frustrating for LeBron's timeline. Knicks Coaching & Continuity (44:49–47:54) Mike Brown seen as a lateral move from Thibs. Knicks kept core roster and added bench depth. Mackenzie makes them East favorites until Garland returns fully for Cavs. Magic Breakout Prediction (51:56–56:43) Desmond Bane and Jalen Suggs boost perimeter threat. Age curve and returns from injury forecast >50 wins. Mackenzie places them #2 in East behind the Cavs, calling them a regular-season powerhouse. Dallas Mavericks Evaluation (57:30–1:00:58) Kyrie's uncertain return hurts projection. Additions like DLo and Anthony Davis strengthen floor but limit ceiling. Mackenzie projects 39–41 wins, making them a fringe play-in team. Philadelphia 76ers Uncertainty (1:00:58–1:04:52) Despite roster similarity to last year, health of Embiid/PG makes projections volatile. Embiid played only 19 games last season. Munaf leans under; Mackenzie says to wait for in-season evidence. Closing Thoughts & Summer League Preview (1:06:32–1:07:53) Hosts close with excitement for Summer League and reflection on rapid offseason changes. Mackenzie teases potential picks and returns for more Summer League coverage. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On the latest Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn reacts to an unreal trade made by the Denver Nuggets, sending out Michael Porter Jr. and a 2032 first round pick for Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson. He discusses the deal and the flexibility it gives Denver, as well as the surprise signing of Bruce Brown to a one-year minimum contract. The Nuggets don't have to be done either. They can keep making moves. The question is, will they?
