A Happy New year to all! We here at 3rd Degree Byrne would like to bring in the New Year with a real bang! But since doing a regular show would take a lot of work, we decided to go the easy route and do a roundtable show. Well, actually it was triangular as we only had three of us talking. Well actually Intern John Hijatt does participate (kinda) by throwing in his two cents via a separate recording that I just tossed in the show somewhere. Really, high production value here. So, Tim Elliott, Brian Hughes and remaining Intern David Thompson all get together to discuss their thoughts and feeling on what is supposed to be the last chapter in the Skywalker Saga. That is right, we are going to discuss “Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker”. The show will start with non spoiler info if you have not seen the movie yet. But once we warn you we are going into spoiler territory, look out! So go get you a glass of Jawa Juice and prepare yourself as 3rd Degree Byrne talks some Star Wars! Wow, the show is actually shorter than the movie. That almost never happens.Feedback for this show can be sent to: gottagetbyrned@gmail.com3rd Degree Byrne is proud to be part of the TwoTrueFreaks Internet Radio Network http://twotruefreaks.com/main.php Two True Freaks! is a proud member of BOTH the Comics Podcast Network(http://www.comicspodcasts.com/) and the League of Comic Book Podcasts(http://www.comicbooknoise.com/league/)!! THE DOOMED & STONED SHOW Season 5, Episode 13 The George Lucas film Star Wars holds a very special place in my memory. It's one of the earliest things I can recall: holding Dad's hand as we waited in a long line that twisted around the two-screen movie theater and around the block in our small Seattle suburb. When screen time arrived, I was absolutely transfixed, perhaps most by the desert scenes on Tatooine. Fast forward to 2019 and I come up with this crazy idea: why not do a doom metal and stoner rock tribute to the film? I think the story works quite nicely without the tidy resolution of the final act, so I'll leave you hanging around the destruction of Alderaan and see how that suits your fancy pants. One more thing: the working title for the film was, 'Adventures Of The Starkiller - Episode I' and the thumbnail is from a portfolio of concept art by Ralph McQuarrie, who painted 21 such portraits in all (including my favorite rendition of Darth Vader). The Empire has reigned the Galaxy for over decade. While most worlds bow to the will of the all-powerful Emperor, there is still hope in the Galaxy. A small but growing rebellion fights to disrupt the Imperial rule, gathering any and all information that may aid their cause. Among these Rebels, three heroes emerge. Tokrin Rel Dagos, Luna Erebos, and Uma'nak Attema find themselves working with a rebellion cell, hidden far in the Outer Rim. Having established themselves as bounty hunters and smugglers, they have a unique ability to infiltrate the Imperial forces without suspicion. But when the rebellion learns that the Empire has lost a ship from one of it's most secretive agencies, will the lost Jedi, the runaway, and the slave be able to find it and reveal it's secrets.... It's time to ring in the New YEAR and what better way than right here, at your favorite Cantina. Join Mike and Joao as they sift through the latest Star Wars related news: Will Darth Vader return in "The Force Awakens" movie to some degree? The meaning or reasoning behind the conceptual art of Kylo Ren's Helmet, Ian Whyte as Pete's double, a possible Han Solo "Spin-Off," PHASMA? And once again, the false rumor surrounding the original, unedited version of the OT to be released in some format. So, without further ado ... "Go back to your drinks." Yes, we do serve your kind here, so pour yourself a glass of your favorite Jawa Juice and remember ... this place can get a little rough. The guys are opening the bar for a "Holy Sheev Dissection!"
