As we enter the cantina, Omega and Phee are making a deal with some masked sellers over a porcelain looking sculpture. When the deal goes bad and Phee gets threatened with a Kuhaan, which is the same slug like poisonous insect we saw Zam Wessell send to Padme's room in attack of the clones, Hunter throws his knife and saves her. A big brawl breaks out with the Bad Batch against the masked scammers. They fire up the ship and get out of there. Phee says that Omega needs to be a kid and hang out with other normal kids, as the crew get a transmission from Cid. She says it's been 20 days without them working for her, and she threatens them by essentially saying she knows everything about them and that she'll reveal them to the empire or other bounty hunters…like Boba Fett for example who she could hire to get the Bad Batch.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This story encompasses the what if scenario regarding Anakin and the pod race in episode 1 the Phantom Menace. This would change many things. Obi Wan Kenobi, Qui Gon Jinn, and Padme would all have to take measures into their own hands against Watto. Do they force him to bend to their will? What about Darth Maul? Emperor Palpatine takes on a new apprentice, Asajj Ventress and Count Dooku. Anakin's powers are exponential in The Revenge of the Sith and his abilities give him more clarity. His turn to the dark side slipped deeper when he had to rescue his mother from the Hutt's, as opposed to when he simply killed the Sand People who didn't stand much of a chance anyways. This changes his battle leading into Mustafar as well. Years of close-quarter living erupt as the powder keg that is Jedha City finally ignites in The High Republic (Vol. 2) #5 (of 10) in an issue that features several key first appearances and is better understood if you've listened to (or read) George Mann's The Battle of Jedha.Hidden Empire #3 (of 5) ties into events from Darth Vader (Vol. 2), as well as Crimson Reign and the first Lando mini-series as Chanath Cha and the Orphans take him on with results that left us surprised. Finally, in Darth Vader (Vol. 3) #31, Anakin/Vader tries to right what seems to be the biggest mistake of his life as seeks to press the Handmaidens into his -- and the Empire's -- service as they strive to rescue Sabe from Jul Tambor.Be sure share this week's episode on social media and, if you haven't, leave a review wherever you get your podcasts.Comics out today and broken down on this week's episode:_ The High Republic #5 (of 10) (14:29)_ Hidden Empire #3 (of 5) (28:40)_ Darth Vader (Vol. 3) #31 (43:14)Star Wars Comics on Marvel Unlimited This Week:_ Star Wars #29 _ Bounty Hunters #28 _ The Mandalorian #5 (of 8)News:_ Dark Horse will collect IDW's The High Republic Adventures 13-issue series in a TPB due for release in August.
