While they were fishing and waiting to see Jesus, the disciples weren't expecting that He was there – and with them. John simply tells us that “Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.” And while you and I go about our busy days, our risen Savior wants you to know He is here – and with you.

Homily for the 3rd Sunday of Easter: Total Time: 17m6sReflection shared during homily: You waste a lot of time, however, worrying about storms you can see forming along the horizon of your life. In the past many of the storms you had anticipated veered off in another direction, never reaching you. Although some of them did actually hit, usually they had lost much of their power by the time they got to you. I urge you to switch your focus from difficulties that may come your way to My Presence, which is always with you. You will never find security by trying to anticipate all the storms that may reach you someday. Remember that I control the atmosphere of your life. Trust Me by relaxing and releasing your concerns into My capable care. It saddens Me to see you obsessing about possible problems rather than bringing these matters to Me. When you find yourself anxiously scanning the horizon of your life, use that as a reminder to seek My Face. You will not find Me off in the distance. I am here beside you, nearer than you dare believe. Instead of wasting time worrying, devote that time to building close friendship with Me. Talk with Me about everything that concerns you—your pleasures as well as your problems. I am interested in everything that matters to you because I am your perpetual Lover. Remember that I am holding you by your right hand. I guide you with My own counsel, based on eternal wisdom; so there's no need to worry about the future. When the time comes, I will personally take you into Glory. For now just live near Me. My friendship is your best refuge in the storms of life. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. 1 CHRONICLES 16:11 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” JEREMIAH 31:3 Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. . . . But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. PSALM 73:23–24, 28Young, Sarah. Jesus Lives (pp. 272-273). Thomas Nelson. Kindle Edition.
How wonderful is it that God thought of you as Christ was dying on the cross? He loves sinners so much, even those who had yet to be born.

Jesus' resurrection corrects our spiritual vision...
May 4, 2025 - Jesus Lives - John 21:1-22 by Sermons of Pastor Paul Kaldahl
This weekend we continue in our celebration of the resurrection of Jesus in the Season of Easter. One of the hymns we will be singing this weekend is a German hymn from the 1700's written by Christian Gellert. This hymn weaves in many New Testament Bible passages and does a beautiful job of showing us what the resurrection of Jesus actually means for us. Each verse begins with the emphatic declaration: "Jesus Lives!" and ends with the statement: "This shall be my confidence!" What does the resurrection of Jesus mean? "Death no longer can appal [horrify] me" (verse 1). Because Jesus lives, we will live also. It means "I shall go where He is gone" (v.2). Jesus has finished His work and ascended into heaven. And He will return and bring us there as well. It also means "For me He died" (verse 3) so I will live for Jesus, just as the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:15: “and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." It means "God will be a sure Defense" (verse 4), and "neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:39). Finally, it means "Now is death but the gate of life immortal" (verse 5). Jesus has defeated death and now it is simply the door which leads us to the presence of our Savior in eternity. Yes, "Jesus lives! This shall be my confidence!" The resurrection of Jesus is not myth. It is not just some historical event. It has significant meaning for us today, and for eternity. Join us as celebrate the rich meaning of Christ's resurrection from the dead and as join our hearts and lips to give Him praise and glory for that victory over death!
Jesus is alive and that changes everything! Christ foretold of His suffering, death, burial, and resurrection (Mark 8:31). He had to fulfill what was spoken of Him by the prophets as the Spirit spoke through them expressly. The Word of God is always fulfilled! Because Jesus lives there are many truths that we as believers can experience and possess by faith. The fact that we serve a living Jesus makes all the difference in life or death, forgiveness, sickness or health, poverty or abundance, oppression or freedom, anxiousness or peace, and such much more! Because Jesus lives…If you got saved watching the broadcast today, need prayer, would like to connect with us, or you would like to give into this ministry please visit here:https://www.gospeltabernaclechurch.com/connect/
Order of Service: - Prelude - Hymn 340 - Alleluia! Jesus Lives!: vv. 1, 2, 4, 6 (children's choir sings v. 1) - John 20:24-31: Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. - Devotion - Oh, Yes, Lord Jesus Lives: Children's Choir - The Lord's Prayer (p. 53) - Hymn 378 - Dear Christians, One and All, Rejoice: vv. 1, 2, 4, 5 - Blessing - Postlude Service Participants: Chaplain Don Moldstad (Preacher), Laura Matzke (Organist), Kari Sehloff (Choir Director), Mt. Olive Lutheran School Students (Choral Group)

"Because Jesus Lives I Can Truly Live" | Luke 24:36-53God has been writing his great story of redemption from the moment Adam and Eve fell. Like any great author, God has been developing his narrative masterfully, creating longing and anticipation for resolution. Luke recounts Jesus' entrance into history and presents Jesus as the fulfillment of God's plan. And Jesus invites us to humbly acknowledge our lostness, to follow him into his eternal kingdom, to admit the brokenness of this life. Join us as we journey through Luke, learning more about the wonder of Jesus and God's love for the lost everywhere.Speaker: Albert Chung

Do you want to share your faith with your friends but have a hard time figuring out how to do that? Do you want to learn how to connect the Bible to your real life? Well then, this is the show for you. My name is Rachael, and I am your host. I have been a Children's Pastor for a long time, and one of my favorite things is helping kids learn how to understand the Bible. I think that sometimes people think that the Bible is just for adults, but God actually really wants kids to know about Him. So, on this podcast, we are going to learn all about God's Big Story and how he shows Himself to us through the Bible. As we learn together what the stories in the Bible mean, we can learn how to live out our faith in our everyday lives.
