Culture as a catalyst: Todd Corley on embedding people-first thinking into Carhartt's sustainability strategy

As sustainability conversations increasingly center on regulation, compliance deadlines and investment in new data systems, something risks getting lost: the need to invest in people who drive the change. Todd Corley's perspective emphasizes the importance of inspiring and developing individuals across all levels of an organization. Rooted in a career shaping social, philanthropic, sustainability and belonging initiatives in corporate workplaces, he now holds one of the most distinctive roles in the industry as Chief People and Impact Officer at Carhartt. From that vantage point, he builds strategy bottom-up, and asks a different question: What happens when you treat people and culture not as a support function to your people and impact strategy, but as its foundation?   Integrating this strategic framework within global organizations requires persistence, adaptability, and a willingness to accept that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to building a purpose-driven culture. In this webinar, we explored: - How Todd's journey to Chief People and Impact Officer shapes his approach to sustainability - What it looks like to structure teams and governance for real impact, and why capacity building is a strategic investment - Carhartt's people-first approach in practice: examples of community connection, skilled trade development and accessible circularity - Making the internal business case: navigating pushback and keeping purpose at the core - Reasons for optimism, and what the industry needs to do next to act on them

The 2026 NFL season will mark the third pro campaign for the Jets 2024 draft class which includes left tackle Olu Fashanu.  The group has been a mixed bag thus far with some quality performances, but also significant injury issues and small sample sizes.  This is indeed the year for several players to prove their worth. Here’s a look at the full class with grades thrown in based on what we’ve seen up to this point. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/72058002/download.mp3 LT Olu Fashanu (Round 1, Pick 11):  Fashanu hasn’t been the elite left tackle from day one that many hoped the Jets were getting when they  took him with the 11th pick out of Penn State.  He didn’t start right away and had some hiccups as a rookie but has shown enough for the Jets to feel that his floor is long-term above average starter with enough time to elevate his game to becoming a top ten tackle.  If you can get that in the first round, you take it every time. Grade: B WR Malachi Corley (Round 3, Pick 65):  The Jets must have known fairly early on that the Corley pick wasn’t a good one.  He spent just one season in Green and White and had two memorable incidents.  One included the receiver dropping what would have been his first career touchdown on the 1-inch line to celebrate a score that never happened.  Then when approached by star wide receiver DaVante Adams about selling his number (17), Corley said with a straight face that it would cost Adams a million dollars.  Corley now sits deep down on the Browns wide receiver depth chart. Grade: F RB Braelon Allen (Round 4, Pick 134): Taken to be a bruising running back out of the backfield, Allen has yet to realize his full potential as he’s dealt with very limited reps as a rookie and then a season-ending injury in year two.  Allen has shown enough in his limited opportunities to give fans reason to believe he can be a very good back. Grade: Incomplete QB Jordan Travis (Round 5, Pick 171): A huge roll of the dice for the Jets that came up snake eyes.  Travis was coming off of a major ankle injury so the Jets used a day 3 pick on a developmental quarterback with winning pedigree and elite leadership traits.  However, he would never take a snap as a Jet and we’ll probably never know who was at fault. Travis sat out year one which was expected, but then abruptly retired after last year’s draft.  This was apparently the result of a significant setback during his rehab. Did the Jets botch the rehab program, or did Travis engage in activities that weren’t recommended by the team?  Until we find that out, this is an almost impossible pick to grade. Grade: Incomplete RB Isaiah Davis (Round 5, 173): Like Allen, Davis has seen limited reps, but he has managed to stay healthy and impress as a back who can run between the tackles, catch the ball out of the backfield and pick up the blitz.  Davis is a player who you feel would likely put up impressive numbers if given the opportunity. In 33 career games, Davis has run the ball 73 times for 410 yards (5.8 ypc) and a touchdown.  How the Jets handle their running back room this season will be interesting as they’ve made it clear they plan on having a run-heavy system. Grade: C+ CB Qwan’tez Stiggers (Round 5, 176) Stiggers was a great story on draft day and gained national attention for being a drafted player who didn’t play any college football.  Everyone knew that day that he was going to be a multi-year project.  Well, it’s now been multiple years and Stiggers may have his first real shot to see some reps in 2026. The Jets cornerback room isn’t terrible, but it’s far from having every spot locked down. Year number three as a pro is the first legit shot Qwan'tez Stiggers has to earn some real playing time for the @nyjets. Stiggers has played 25 or more snaps just four times in his career. In those games, he's seen 23 targets, allowing 13 catches and picking up four PBUs. — Glenn Naughton (@JNRadio_Glenn) May 18, 2026 Stiggers has had some solid moments early on in his career, but it’s time to take the training wheels off and see what he kid can do.  With Brandon Stephens and Azareye’h Thomas penciled in as the starters, it’s not as if Stiggers is competing with the duo of Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie for playing time. Grade: Incomplete  S Jalen Key (7, 257): Mr. Irrelevant became just that for the Jets as Key never played a snap as a pro, but as the final pick in the draft, he wasn’t likely graded much higher than most undrafted free agents. Grade: F The post Several Picks from Jets '24 Class Have Lots to Prove in yr 3 appeared first on JetNation.com - New York Jets Blog & Forum. Today we talk about current events. Also… last chance to order SIGNED Copies of Strange Company and the Wasteland Saga. Thank you.Strange Company Series and The Wasteland Saga Series are ready for ordering SIGNED copies. I do this at specific times because I need to order them in advance, as they are not always available. I'd jump on this if you want SIGNED copies for yourself, or, a gift for a special friend during the holidays or birthdays. These will be SIGNED Copies.I'll be SIGNING the Strange Company Books BUNDLE for $99.99 You get all 3 Books SIGNED for that price.TRIVA: These are beautiful books. The art on the covers is done by three of the most in-demand artists working in SciFi art today. Pascal Blanche (Dune Concept Artist) did Strange Company. Trent Kaniuga (Twilight Monk, Blizzard Diablo 3 Artist) did Voodoo Warfare. And Marc Lee (Coffee and Perspectives) did Hearts of Darkness. I think these are collectors' editions and I hope you take advantage of this offer. I wanted the best artists for the Strange Company, and I think the art adds to the story in an exceptionally satisfying way.I'll also be ordering copies of The Wasteland Saga.I'll be SIGNING The Wasteland Saga Series for $69.99. You get all 3 Books SIGNED for that price.TRIVIA: Artist M.S. Corley conceived and executed a very specific vision of the covers I wanted for The Wasteland Saga books. These were the third edition of the covers. The first, way back in 2011, was a cover I bought from an artist that was expensive for me at the time but didn't necessarily evoke what I wanted. Those were the early days of Indie pub and it was all I had the money for. It was kind of a take it or leave it deal. Then I sold the series to Harper Collins and they basically did a photoshop hack job for the covers. When I finally recovered the rights in 2019 I wanted to do something that evoked the Post-Apocalyptic Hemmingway nature of the books. I have a favorite sketch from Picasso. Don Quixote. I gave an image of the sketch to M.S. Corely and together we came up with covers that finally captured the series. Honestly… they are beautiful pieces of art and I love them even without the books. But that vintage feel they give to the covers of these books is very special to me and makes it feel like it was all worth it, and I am very pleased to offer them to you, SIGNED. These are keepers and I hope you cherish them as much as I do. -Nick This is a public episode. Albright may get away with hanging his hat on some “overbroad” provision upon appeal but his ruling that the law violates the First Amendment free speech rights of the plaintiffs is ridiculous. The law does not stop anyone from saying anything, or joining the anti-human ESG movement. The law simply sets policy standards regarding the investment of public money by the state and its institutions. Does Albright believe that a legislature cannot set such policies? The leftwing states have policies in place to favor investment in the evil ESG movement.Attorney General Paxton sues the Muslim Brotherhood, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (“CAIR”), and CAIR's Austin, Houston, and DFW chapters to ban the terrorist organizations from operating in Texas.Listen on the radio, or station stream, at 5pm Central. In this episode of The Open Door, panelists Thomas Storck, Andrew Sorokowski, and Christopher Zehnder interview Felix Corley on his book Catholicos and Commissar: The Armenian Church under the Soviet Regime (October29, 2025)Part of a two-volume set, this volume explores the history of the Armenian Apostolic Church under Soviet rule. Initially flourishing across the Russian Empire, the Church briefly enjoyed greater religious freedom after the February 1917 revolution. However, the Bolshevik regime imposed severe restrictions after October 1917: churches were seized, clergy were taxed and jailed, religious education was banned, and international ties were severed. By 1938, Stalin's purges had devastated the Church, culminating in the murder of Catholicos Khoren and the closure of almost all churches.Despite this, a partial revival occurred after World War II. In 1945, Stalin permitted the election of a new Church leader, Catholicos Gevorg, who supported Soviet territorial claims and repatriation efforts. Although minimal, the Church's presence in the South Caucasus and southern Russia was gradually restored. The book is based on extensive archival research, memoirs, and interviews, offering a vivid account of how the Church and its followers struggled to maintain faith under an oppressive regime.Volume 2 continues the history of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Soviet Union, focusing on the leadership of Catholicos Vazgen I, who served from 1955 until 1994-the longest tenure of any religious leader in the USSR. Chosen by the KGB after a lack of suitable Soviet-based candidates, Vazgen publicly supported the Soviet regime but worked quietly to strengthen the Church's presence at home and abroad. The Church's seminary at Echmiadzin grew, and diaspora ties were cautiously encouraged, though most parishes remained isolated.Despite the appearance of normalcy, the Church operated under heavy restrictions. Major decisions were often made by the state, and KGB agents were placed among the clergy. The harsh anti-religious campaigns of the Khrushchev era forced the closure of many churches. After Khrushchev's fall, restrictions eased somewhat, but the Church remained passive, neither resisting nor expanding.Major change came under Gorbachev's reforms in the late 1980s. Long-suppressed Armenian national aspirations, especially around Nagorno-Karabakh, erupted, followed by the 1988 earthquake. The Church responded with new community efforts. Though initially cautious about independence, Catholicos Vazgen eventually played a key role in legitimising the new Armenian state and reaffirming the Church's place as its official religion.Like Volume One, this book draws from extensive archival research, memoirs, and interviews to tell the story of how the Armenian Church and its followers navigated Soviet repression and shifting political landscapes.

Member removal of accounts that haven't logged in for a year or more also was completed and we have plenty of room for growth, so we kept the two recruiting co-guilds, Libertas and Fortuna, open for another month. The consolidation on the alliance side and culling of accounts also left us with plenty of room for growth. It feels so much better to login and see so many others in guild playing. We encourage those who haven't made the migration to please do so, and don't be shy. If you need help, officers are here for you. We get it, it can be scary to hit the /gquit, but I think you will like rejoining an active co-guild. Alliance side MFN raid team HFO is 7/8 on normal and working on the dance with Demensius. Noob Raid ran Firelands for the Timewalking quest, with thanks to Ashayo for getting a skip on the (again) bugged Lord Rhyolith.
