Service to others runs deep in the Payton family DNA. There's a global reminder of that before every Super Bowl, when one NFL humanitarian is bestowed with the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. In this episode of the Crisis Cast, WGN-TV's Jarrett Payton talks about the life lessons he learned from his father, and the vision he has for his own legacy. Lissa & Thom dive into Jarrett's obsession with watching game film, Ben Johnson's much-needed honesty, and JP's predictions for a Bears' playoff run. It's not like we're hungry. It's only been 40 years since the Bears won a Super Bowl. This week's Crisis Cast hero is Chicago ECO House CEO Quillen Blackwell.

On today's episode of the podcast, we sit down with Tim McBride, founder of Change Agents of Arizona, to discuss the inspiration behind the movement and the second annual Change Agents of Arizona event celebrating this year's honorees. This event is an invite-only gathering that recognizes a small, carefully selected class of real estate professionals who lead with generosity, integrity, and purpose. These agents aren't just successful in business—they use their platform to lift others, lead boldly in their communities, and inspire change far beyond the closing table. For more information and to purchase tickets for this year's Change Agents of Arizona event, visit changeagentsofarizona.com Website: changeagentsaz.com Instagram: changeagentsarizona BACK STORY Inspired by the legacy of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, Change Agents of Arizona (formerly Change Agents of Phoenix) was created to celebrate a new standard of excellence in real estate—one that honors not just professional achievement, but the ability to use that success as a force for good. The inspiration for this initiative comes from my deep connection to professional sports and the respect I hold for athletes who are recognized for both their performance and their character. In real estate, where authenticity and trust are everything, I believe the same should apply: greatness is not just about numbers—it's about how you lead, how you serve, and the impact you leave behind. Change Agents of Arizona is more than an event. It's a movement to elevate the industry by spotlighting those who are transforming lives and communities through their everyday business. These are the professionals who think beyond transactions—who use their platforms with purpose and lead with heart. Each year, a select few agents are nominated and carefully chosen by peers, past honorees, and industry partners to represent the Change Agents class. This is not an award anyone applies for—it's a distinction that must be earned through leadership, service, and consistent alignment with the core values we hold sacred. In this powerful and emotional compilation episode of The Burn Podcast, Ben Newman brings together the unshakable stories of three elite athletes who rewrote the narrative of their lives—not by believing the facts, but by living their TRUTH. This episode is about what separates those who accept limitations from those who overcome them. It's about what fuels greatness when the world tells YOU that YOU aren't enough. We start with NFL Hall of Fame cornerback Aeneas Williams, who didn't even play college football until his junior year. The same coach who gave him a shot also told him he'd never play in the NFL because he was too slow. That was a fact. But Aeneas didn't accept that as TRUTH. He trained with everything he had, turned the impossible into a career, and became one of the greatest to ever do it. His story proves that what matters most isn't what others say about YOU—it's what YOU believe about YOURSELF.Next, we hear from Andrew Whitworth, Super Bowl champion and 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year. Known as much for his leadership and impact off the field as for his long-standing excellence on it, “Big Whit” is the definition of sustained greatness. For nearly two decades, he brought discipline, toughness, and heart to the NFL. Andrew shares what it means to be consistent at the highest level, to lead with purpose, and to never take a single rep for granted. Finally, we spotlight Antoine Bethea, who knows firsthand what it feels like to be overlooked. Too short. Too small. Too light. That's what recruiters said. On National Signing Day in 2002, he had zero D1 or D2 offers. But instead of folding, he walked on at Howard University, bet on himself, and built a career that included a Super Bowl ring and three Pro Bowl appearances. Antoine's journey is living proof that when YOU stop listening to the noise and lean into YOUR burn, there is no ceiling to what YOU can accomplish. This episode is about defying expectations. It's about betting on YOURSELF. It's about understanding the difference between the facts and the TRUTH—and choosing to chase greatness no matter what stands in your way.Don't let the world define YOUR limits. YOU define YOUR legacy. Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/kGrVj5pc3S4

Casey opens up about his transition out of football and why running track helped launch both his athletic and financial future.
Cam Jordan is back in the NFL Media podcast studio in Los Angeles, joined by Super Bowl Champion and Thursday Night Football analyst Andrew Whitworth. The two go head-to-head on whether offensive linemen deserve their own individual award, with Whitworth making the case for the big men in the trenches. He also shares a behind-the-scenes story from the night he won Walter Payton Man of the Year, including a last-minute scramble and how a police escort through L.A. traffic got them to the show barely in time. Cam and Whit then break down why they’re not fans of the potential “tush push” ban and explain why the Eagles continue to dominate with it. Whitworth also reflects on his recent induction into the East West Shrine Bowl Hall of Fame and what it means to be selected for enshrinement into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame this June, crediting his roots in Monroe, Louisiana. Plus, he shares the time he almost lost his friendship with Ryan Fitzpatrick… over dyeing his beard! “The individual stuff is great, but you truly measure greatness by what your team does.” Cam Heyward Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro Ryan, Channing and Fred sit down with the heartbeat of the Pittsburgh Steelers, NFL Pro Bowler and All-Pro defensive tackle, Cam Heyward who joins the guys to talk about his football legacy, personal struggles, roster changes, quarterback questions and his relentless pursuit of a Super Bowl championship. Being drafted in the first round by Pittsburgh in 2011 wasn't just about Cam playing for one of the NFL's premiere organizations, it was the chance for Cam to write the next chapter of his story back in his birthplace, a city that holds a special place to his family. In a moment of personal reflection, Cam speaks of losing his father, Craig “Ironhead” Heyward, and the depression he battled silently from it, almost derailing his young football career. He credits his mother for stepping up, not just as a parent but as an advocate for his football future, making sure coaches knew exactly what kind of player and man they were getting. Cam's rookie year was also the year Ryan was a captain of the Steelers defense as the two exchange funny stories and talk about the player Cam became and all the different talents and guys who've played for the black and yellow since. Cam opens up about playing alongside his younger brother, Connor Heyward, and how their relationship has evolved from siblings to friends to teammates. He shares what he's learned from past Steelers legends and how he holds his current teammates to the same high standard that was expected of him. He even reveals some of his instigation tactics during practice used to generate a "Steeler" type of locker-room energy. And, we all know Mike Tomlin as one of the greatest coaches and leaders but Cam sheds insight into his bond with Mike T and some of what we don't see from the outside, explaining how the unconditional trust and respect goes far beyond the field and is never questioned. Beyond the game, giving back is always at the forefront of Cam's daily routine. After multiple nominations, Heyward won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2023, and he opens up about the surreal feeling of earning the NFL's highest honor for community service and the forever gratitude of this accomplishment. But for Cam, legacy isn't just about awards it's about chasing greatness, proving doubters wrong, and leaving behind a name that stands for perseverance and impact. He makes it clear his career won't feel complete without a Super Bowl- He isn't ready to give up the quest for a Lombardi just yet and feels Pittsburgh has the right balance of new faces and veterans to get it done. Yeah yeah yeah the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs played another classic in last night's AFC Championship Game, but what if we started a late-night show with Cam Jurgens? Who is the second most famous center of all time behind Jason Kelce? Okay seriously though, that was an incredible game last night and the crew is here to break it all down. Mike Ryan is feeling sick for Josh Allen this morning after he fell short to Patrick Mahomes yet again, would he beat Patrick Mahomes if Patrick Mahomes didn't exist? Plus, we re-visit Greg Cote's incredible performance on last night's Watchalong as he came out firing and took out the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Should Josh Allen go all in on winning the Walter Payton Man of the Year since he can't seem to get that elusive Super Bowl? Also, the Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles again after the two played a classic Super Bowl two years ago, but is the average sports fan tired of this matchup?
