Just two days after North Korea's 70th Foundation Day anniversary celebrations, South Korean President Moon Jae-in headed to Pyongyang with a 200-member entourage to mark his third summit with Kim Jong Un. As a result of three days of inter-Korean “peaceful political theatre”, we saw two new joint agreements that included a North Korean commitment to dismantle a missile/rocket engine testing site under international inspection, both Koreas agree to end military drills, and Kim Jong Un expressing his will to visit Seoul this year and to meet President Trump again soon. Having covered the developments from the Summit Press Center in the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, Senior Correspondent Dagyum Ji and Managing Editor Oliver Hotham joined Korea Risk Group analyst Peter Ward on Friday for another rough and ready roundtable podcast. In discussion? President Moon's unprecedented speech in front of 150,000 North Korean citizens, the budding relationship between the first ladies, and what this summit could mean for the Korean Peninsula and the U.S. going forward. About the podcast: The “North Korea News Podcast” is a weekly podcast hosted exclusively by NK News, covering all things DPRK: from news to extended interviews with leading experts and analysts in the field and insight from our very own journalists. *NK News Subscription Giveaway: Each month, we'll be choosing a lucky reviewer on iTunes to to win a FREE NK News subscription. On today's episode of Loud & Clear, Brian Becker and John Kiriakou are joined by Dan Kovalik, a human rights and labor lawyer who is the author of the book “The Plot to attack Iran.”This week was filled with news, especially big developments in the war in Syria, the Moon-Kim summit in North Korea, and the future of the Iran nuclear deal. The hosts dig in to all three. Friday is Loud & Clear’s regular segment on the midterms, taking a look at political races around the country in the runup to midterm elections in November. Jacqueline Luqman, the co-editor-in-chief of Luqman Nation, which hosts a livestream every Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. on Facebook, joins the show. A diplomatic standoff is heating up between Washington and Beijing over new US sanctions on China. The Trump Administration announced the sanctions because China agreed to purchase Russian jets and S-400 missiles. But China has bought Russian weapons for decades. And even the Trump White House admits that the new sanctions strategy for weapons purchases is unprecedented. Brian and John speak with John Ross, Senior Fellow at Chongyang Institute, Renmin University of China, and an award-winning resident columnist with several Chinese media organizations. Despite at least 16,000 deaths in Yemen, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has decided to continue funding Saudi Arabia with monetary aid—because he doesn’t want to risk a weapons deal, according to a leaked memo. Meanwhile, the day he certified that Saudi Arabia and the UAE were working to reduce casualties in Yemen, the coalition killed 27 civilians, mostly children. Whitney Webb, a journalist and a staff writer for MintPress News, and Kathy Kelly, co-coordinator of Voices for Creative Non-Violence, join the show. President Trump lashed out at Congress yesterday for not approving of his long-promised border wall. But this time it’s not just Democrats opposing it. Many Republicans, including several in the leadership, say that the wall is impractical, unrealistic, and just too expensive. Brent Wilkes, a leading immigrant rights advocate, joins Brian and John. Today British Prime Minister Theresa May made strong comments about the Brexit process, stating about the EU’s suggested alternative plan, “That is unacceptable. We will never agree to it. It would mean breaking up our country.” British and European Union leaders met yesterday in Salzburg to discuss the terms of the UK’s withdrawal from the body and things did not go well for May. The sticking point is what to do about the Irish border. May said that no deal on Brexit and the border is better than a bad deal—and that may be where negotiations are going. Steve Hedley, the senior assistant general secretary of the the UK’s Rail, Maritime, and Transport Workers Union, joins the show. It’s Friday! So it’s time for the week’s worst and most misleading headlines. Brian and John speak with Steve Patt, an independent journalist whose critiques of the mainstream media have been a feature of his blog Left I on the News and on twitter @leftiblog, and Sputnik producer Nicole Roussell.
This is episode #413, and my guests today are Luciano Aires and Moon Kim. Today we talk about the differences of truly turning your real estate investing business into an actual BUSINESS. See, most real estate investors end up trapped essentially in the “Self Employed” stage of their business, where they’re responsible for doing every task that needs to be done. None of us started in real estate investing to be a slave to our own business, where our business suffers if we take a vacation, spend more time with family, or God forbid, get sick. In fact, I’d argue that every real estate investor wants the exact opposite. That said, it doesn't end up that way for most. If you're just getting started, or already doing deals, but stuck in the self-employed stage of your business, you're really going to get a lot out of this show. Luciano has been a real estate investor for 6 years, but was simply self employed. After joining my Investor Fuel mastermind and getting around some others in the group with incredible talents, he made the shift to truly become a business owner. The results…in the first quarter of this year, he bought as many houses has he’s purchased in any full year in the past. Aside from at least quadrupling his business, he now has a team to do all the things he’s not good at or doesn't like to do. Let’s jump into today’s show. Please help me welcome Luciano Aires and Moon Kim to the show. To learn more about our Investor Fuel Real Estate Mastermind, please visit InvestorFuel.com.
