The Sadducees mock the resurrection and those who believe in it. Jesus rebukes them for being ignorant of Scripture and ignorant of the power of God. Life in the resurrection will be similar to but different from life here and now.

Christ the King Sunday is the summation of the whole Christian year: A rising crescendo of story where all of the components of God's saving acts and deeds come together in one beautiful phrase: Jesus Christ is King! In this sermon, Pastor Chris takes a close look at Revelation 1:4-8 which reveals some priceless truths about, and precious titles of, our sovereign King.

Throughout salvation history, God's holy house— literally and figuratively— had been divided and destroyed over and over again. But we're not waiting on some miraculous future restoration of the house of David. The divided and dilapidated house, even all of creation, has been restored IN Christ.
