If you don't know Lindsey Lockett, go check out her page and podcast asap! She's an amazing educator on all things trauma, C-PTSD, nervous system , good girl, boundaries, and people pleasing. I resonate with so much of her story and teachings, so I am sure you will too! Lindsey Lockett is a trauma educator, nervous system coach, and the host of the Holistic Trauma Healing Podcast. After leaving behind the dogmas of fundamentalist religion and toxic wellness culture, Lindsey experienced her own dark night of the soul. During the healing journey that followed, she realized that trauma affects us as WHOLE people and therefore, we need to heal as WHOLE people. Although Lindsey has benefitted tremendously from therapy and psychiatry, these modalities never totally resonated with her because she found that they forced her to fragment herself rather than heal holistically. She set out to find an affordable and accessible approach that integrates the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and ancestral parts of our being… and then she woke up and started taking care of her nervous system. She now teaches about nervous system regulation, awareness, and healing trauma through online workshops, group coaching, and 1:1 coaching. Lindsey enjoys foraging and making plant medicines, cold plunging in Lake Superior, and hosting community gatherings. Lindsey and her husband of 20 years live with their daughter and 2 dogs on a 6-acre homestead in the wilderness of Northeastern Minnesota. John and Emily Beaton have created a multi-enterprise farming business in Northeastern Minnesota near Duluth and the shores of Lake Superior. They founded Fairhaven Farm with a spirit of community building, a focus on soil health, and a desire to see a thriving local food system. They sell starter plants each spring for home gardeners, grow food for over 50 families through their CSA program, and are launching a new Pizza Farm enterprise where the couple will serve wood-fired pizzas on the farm featuring all locally sourced ingredients—including fresh tomatoes and vegetables right from their field!"My wife and I are Buddhists. We practice Buddhism, and the main message with that spiritual tradition is to benefit others. I mean, if you focus more on benefiting others than seeking just for oneself, this is where joy comes from, both for yourself and others. So it is kind of a life of service. I mean, we can make a living at it, but at the same time, it's more about a life of service. We're serving other people. We're feeding people the best food you can find anywhere. When you speak about tradition or passing on farms, often what gets forgotten is not just the land itself, but it's the wisdom. It's knowing how to coax life from the soil. That's very important, whatever you're growing. There's a certain type of wisdom that it takes to grow those things, and that is something that's at risk of getting forgotten."www.fairhaven.farmwww.oneplanetpodcast.orgwww.creativeprocess.info

Lindsey Lockett is a trauma educator, coach, and host of the Holistic Trauma Healing Podcast. In 2018, after deconstructing from the dogmas of fundamentalist religion and toxic wellness culture, Lindsey experienced her own dark night of the soul. During the healing journey that followed, she realized that trauma affects us as WHOLE people and therefore, we need to heal as WHOLE people. She set out to find an affordable and accessible approach that integrates the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and ancestral parts of our being… and discovered the magic of the nervous system! Now, she blends consciousness and spirituality with nervous system work to help transform lives. Lindsey lives in Northeastern Minnesota with her partner of 20 years, 2 teenagers, and 2 dogs. She enjoys cooking with friends, spending time in the woods, foraging for food and plant medicine, and cold plunging in Lake Superior. Meteorologist Mike Augustyniak WCCO Television Weather.  Friday, May 28,  2021.   Looking at the clouds from space to see high pressure in Canada has cleared out most of our skies a little bit of cloud cover for the next few hours across southern Minnesota but there's that high now as the high slides off to the East are winds will shift out of the north east and Easton eventually more around to the South and that will lift temperatures but right now the coolest weather here in the US for the most part it is in the Upper Midwest Twin Cities right now 53 Sioux Falls only 52 where those winds shift Direction a little bit Denver Casper Billings a little milder but it's going to take a few days for that to get here this time of year in the Twin Cities to 73 we will fall well short of that but it'll be a lot warmer than it was yesterday with sunshine in a light Breeze that won't feel too bad make sure you bring the hoodie though for Target Field tonight short series with the Kansas City in town first pitch at 7:10 sunny and 60 to start with temperatures falling through the 50s as the game raps up by about 10 that's why you want the hoodie you will have another night with frost antifreeze right now there is a frost advisory in effect just southeast of the Twin Cities metro and a widespread area under a freeze warning from Midnight to 7 a.m. in Central Wisconsin there are no advisories as of yet in northern Minnesota but as I show you the low temperatures in forecasting I certainly see or think that later today those advisories will eventually be reissued Grand Rapids Hinckley Hayward at or below freezing as we wake up tomorrow morning Twin Cities about 41 but if you're headed to the cabin in Wisconsin again or to the South make sure that the bundle up tomorrow know better temperature is better for sure it will be a little cooler north and west where we will see some showers late in the day but if you're headed south east I think tomorrow is definitely the better weekend day or the best weekend day including Monday at the cabin in Lake City tomorrow 67 we start the 40 sure that's cool but warm quickly with Sunshine Sunday will be a little cloudy or so a little cooler and they'll be a chance for a spot shower but those clouds that come in will also keep temperatures up so Saturday night won't be as cold at the cabin as tonight will be here the forecast back and things up a little bit showing you the full region tomorrow dry and sunny in most areas just a few High thin clouds coming by but during the afternoon and especially during the evening Northwestern and West Central Minnesota will get a chance for some rain showers perhaps a couple of claps of Thunder that's that front that will be moving in it's a pretty weak front and so I think a lot of the showers will tend to dry up through the overnight Saturday then Sunday spotty light showers with plenty of dry weather in between maybe a couple of scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening in North Central and Northeastern Minnesota perhaps as far south Lake Mille Lacs by dinner and across Southwestern Minnesota by dinner again this is Sunday and then that too will tend to wind down and we'll come and do the same thing again coming up from Memorial Day Monday tomorrow the warmest weather will be Sunday the warmest will be north and west 70s their Twin Cities on East cooler only 60s and then Monday we all warm up into the seventies and we'll keep the warming Trend going as we head back to work next week in fact if you can hold out a week Jason by Thursday will be at 80 and next weekend could be quite hot if the signs I see right now hold AdrianAftonAitkinAkeleyAlbanyAlbert LeaAlbertvilleAlexandriaAndoverAnnandaleAnokaApple ValleyArden
