Chattering away about what's to come,  Or what has happened.   See if you can pay attention to it, without judging.  Notice what it has to say.  Honor and recognize each of these thoughts, As you imagine them getting smaller and smaller,  As the night grows darker and darker.  LONG PAUSE… Notice any emotions that arise, Honoring the power that each one of them has on your body and your energy.  Take a moment to feel them all,  And when you're ready, allow your breath to be the wave that carries away the thoughts and emotions.  Feel them washing away as your mind becomes calm and clear.  PAUSE… The worries, tasks and plans become still and silent, As the waves carry them away.  LONG PAUSE… Come into your breath,  Feeling it flow in and out of you naturally.  Bring your focus to each inhale and each exhale, Breathing in a little deeper with each breath in, And breathing out a little longer with each breath out.  PAUSE… Feel the sensations in your body,  The warmth, heaviness, and the gentle tingles of sleep.  Soften your muscles from head to toes, Letting go of any tightness or discomfort, And sinking into relaxation a little bit deeper with each exhale.  LONG PAUSE… Let each breath out release the remaining thoughts,  Worries, stresses and plans, As your mind becomes open,  And still.  PAUSE… Let your mind completely surrender, And be in this present moment. There is only peace, There is only the quiet of your soul. PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine a glowing sphere of calm and harmony surrounding you. It protects you,  Keeping the stillness in, And keeping the noise out.  Nothing can disturb you here, Within the tranquility of this sphere. LONG PAUSE… If thoughts or emotions arise,  Let the waves of your exhale carry them out of you,  And watch as they exit the sphere and disappear into the night.  PAUSE… Over and over again,  You see the electric noise of your thoughts.  Breathe in and gather them up, Imagining the air cools them down,  And your exhale releases them out of you. PAUSE… Your mind is soft and open.  Your mind is clear and calm.  LONG PAUSE… Sink deeper into relaxation,  Letting each breath pull you deeper into the peaceful ocean of the night.  PAUSE… Here the dark space of your mind awaits, And the dances of your dreams begin.  Slowly brushing their colors through your open mind. PAUSE Now, breathe into your mind, and let your breath bring calm and stillness to your mind. PAUSE If any thought, tries to find its way in, breathe it out, and watch it dissipate. PAUSE If any worry pops up, breathe it out, and see it disperse  into mist, and then fade away. PAUSE If any “to-do”  tries to push through and steal your attention, breathe it out, and watch it fall away. PAUSE Take a minute in the stillness. Feel what it's like, with your mind quiet. PAUSE Stay with this feeling. Get to know this feeling. Remember, you control this feeling. PAUSE  Now, pause, and let the idea that you can control this beautiful stillness settle in you. The cool damp grass,  Or the warmth of the paved neighborhood road,  Or the softness of the Earth.  PAUSE… Feel the gentle breeze brush upon your skin,  And your hands glide upon your clothes,  As you relax deeper and deeper.  LONG PAUSE… Now notice the scents of the night. PAUSE… Now, see if you can recall a recent experience where you felt disappointed.  It could be a disappointment in yourself, others, or a situation.  Allow yourself to fully acknowledge and feel the disappointment,  without judgment or resistance.  Notice where you feel it in your body, and gently breathe into that area, allowing it to soften. LONG PAUSE… As you breathe, imagine that with each inhale,  you are inhaling soothing and healing energy,  and with each exhale,  you are releasing disappointment and any related emotions.  Breathe in peace, and breathe out disappointment. PAUSE… Now, bring to mind any expectations or attachments that you had in relation to the situation that led to disappointment.  Notice if there were any rigid expectations, unrealistic demands, or attachments to outcomes.  Without judgment, simply observe them as they arise,  and offer yourself compassion for holding onto these expectations. LONG PAUSE… Visualize yourself holding these expectations in your hands,  and then gently release them, letting them float away like clouds in the sky.  Allow yourself to let go of any need for things to be different,  and simply be present with what is, without resistance or grasping. PAUSE… As you continue to breathe, imagine a warm,  healing light enveloping you, comforting and nurturing you.  Allow this healing light to fill any spaces within you that were occupied by disappointment,  soothing and calming those areas with love and acceptance. PAUSE… Now, bring to mind any forgiveness that may be needed. Forgiveness towards yourself or others involved in the situation that led to disappointment.  Offer yourself and others forgiveness,  knowing that everyone makes mistakes and has their own challenges.  Allow forgiveness to flow freely, releasing any lingering resentment or bitterness. LONG PAUSE… Take a few moments to simply rest in this space of letting go,  Of surrendering to the present moment, and of cultivating self-compassion and forgiveness.  Let go of the past, and be fully present in this moment,  knowing that you have the power to release disappointment and create a fresh start. LONG PAUSE… As you prepare to drift off to sleep, allow these words to embrace your heart.  I release disappointment and embrace the present moment with love and acceptance.  I am worthy of forgiveness and compassion. You are deserving of peace and healing. PAUSE… Now, as you slowly begin to drift into sleep, carry with you a sense of lightness and freedom from disappointment.  Release any remaining tension in your body,  and surrender to the gentle rhythm of your breath, The gentle rhythm of the night.  Full of peace, And love.  Namaste, Beautiful

LONG PAUSE Now, see if you can imagine an artist's canvas inside you, Unfolding at your center,  spreading to your chakras. See a paintbrush thick with colors, swishing life and energy onto your canvas. PAUSE… Envision the paintbrush  at the base of your spine,  painting your root chakra red,  filling it with stability,  like an ancient tree whose roots run deep. Breathe in the tree's aroma  and hear a soft whisper, Red grounds me. PAUSE… Now, the paintbrush moves below the belly button, with long, orange strokes  It taps your feelings– Opening them  like a kaleidoscope of emotions  that you feel and breathe in.  You hear the whisper, Orange connects me to my feelings. PAUSE Envision the brush now  rolling over your center With waves of yellow like rays of sunshine, shimmering with confidence. Breathe in the rays and hear,  Yellow radiates my confidence. PAUSE Now, the brush wraps gently ‘round your chest, With a beautiful green, flowing over the heart. And with each pass of the brush,  calm washes over you. Breathe in the calm as the words come, Green is my peace. PAUSE The brush moves  to the throat chakra with turquoise-blue  that glistens like the ocean. You peer into the water  and see your true expression,  So, you breathe in the ocean and affirm,  Blue is my self-expression. PAUSE The brush dips deep into  an abundant indigo blue  and forms scallops along the edges  of your third eye, Like a flower that tingles  your third eye with truth,  it blossoms with your awareness,  As you hear, Indigo opens my intuition. PAUSE The paintbrush pauses  as it reaches the crown chakra. Then, with a single stroke,  a divine purple light  stretches from you to the heavens. PAUSE You're in awe of the light. You reach out to touch it  and as it moves through your fingers, you know. With purple, I am one with the Divine. LONG PAUSE… You are calm. You are aligned.  You are whole.  Namaste, Beautiful

If you'd like an easy ad-free experience for all of our podcasts - that's over 200 episodes each month, then JOIN PREMIUM today at https://WomensMeditationNetwork.com/premium There are millions of thoughts that come through our minds every single day. And some of them are negative. And sometimes, for a variety of reasons, or even for no apparent reason at all, we cling onto those negative thoughts and let them take us down a spiral of negative thinking. This can quickly leave us feeling angry, sad, anxious and even depressed.  So the intention of today's meditation is to help you release the negative thinking you might be experiencing right now. Giving yourself permission to let go of negative thoughts that don't serve you well. So you can find freedom and joy in the space it creates.   So Let's Begin… So invite yourself to settle into a position that's comfortable for you, Where you can feel relaxed and alert.   Close your eyes and take a deep breath in, inviting in the possibility of freshness and positivity. And exhale. Take one more deep breath in, And exhale all the way to the end of your breath.  Bring your breathing to its natural rhythm,  And as you find your cadence, silently say to yourself, breathe in, when you breathe in.  And breathe out as you breathe out.  Breathe in, Breathe out.  Breathe in.  Breathe out.  PAUSE… Now imagine that you're sitting on a big, soft rug in the middle of a spacious room. This is your room...a room in which you feel completely comfortable and safe.   Feel your hands graze along the softness of the rug.  Notice the light beaming in from all the windows, illuminating your space.   You watch as the front door opens and a dog walks in.   Immediately, you think nothing of it. The dog is minding her own business, sniffing around your room, not bothering you.   Your attention is on her. Observing her.   The door opens again and in walks another dog.   The two dogs see each other and start barking. Out of excitement or threat, you can't tell. But the barking continues. What was minutes ago just a curious dog is now a loud disruption.  Again, the door opens and ten more dogs invite themselves into your precious space.   They're barking. They're sniffing. They're jumping. They're running.  They're loud. They're overwhelming.   It's all too much.   So you take a deep breath in and rise from your rug. And you approach one of the dogs and tenderly place your hand on her head, gently letting your fingers caress her fur.   Her barking stops. Her movement stops. She softens and relaxes and melts into your touch.   You ask her to leave and feel immediate relief as she heads out the door.  One by one, you approach each dog with a loving hand, caress her and ask her to leave.  And one by one, each dog heads out of your room, until the room is once again, full of light and peacefully quiet.   Imagine yourself sitting back on your soft, comfortable rug, drinking in the space. Enjoying the silence. Enjoying the peace.  PAUSE… For the next few minutes, I want you to imagine this same scenario. And instead of dogs coming into your room, I want you to identify all the negative thoughts coming in. See them around you.   And when you're ready, imagine yourself approaching them gently and asking them to leave.  Until your beautiful, peaceful room is all yours again.  Imagine those negative thoughts now… PAUSE…

In doing so, we make more room for what feels good.  And proactively say no to what feels bad. Boundaries change and evolve as we change and evolve.  So this morning's meditation will give you the space to explore your boundaries so you can gain clarity on what they are and any ways you can protect them.  So close your eyes if they're not already, And take a deep breath in as we set an intention for today. May I gain clarity on the boundaries I need to feel more joy in my life, And release any judgements that may arise. And may I be bold as I claim them. PAUSE… Lower your hands, And settle deeper into your position, Letting the warmth of your calming breath pull you in deeper, Its rhythm soothing you into a space of calm. Be here. Breathing in, And breathing out. Letting any thoughts float away, As you sit in the silence. PAUSE… Now take a moment to think about a recent time where you felt anger, or stress, or frustration. Let yourself see those moments without connecting to the emotions they brought up. PAUSE… Take a look at them. And ask yourself this question, Was there a boundary I could have set that would have prevented these emotions? Perhaps you could have said no. Perhaps you could have been more diligent about your schedule or daily habits. Maybe you could have accepted help. Give yourself a moment to simply sit with any of the answers that come up for you, Careful to let go of any self-judgements that may come up. LONG PAUSE… Now take a deep breath in, inviting in courage and strength and an enormous amount of self-love, And as you breathe out, relax,  And feel yourself aligned.  Clear.  Whole. PAUSE... Today's practice is one you can come back to any time anger, stress or frustration alert you that a boundary might be off. So you can be kind with yourself as you get to know and protect your boundaries. Namaste, Beautiful.

The cool damp grass,  Or the warmth of the paved neighborhood road,  Or the softness of the Earth.  PAUSE… Feel the gentle breeze brush upon your skin,  And your hands glide upon your clothes,  As you relax deeper and deeper.  LONG PAUSE… Now notice the scents of the night. The sweet aroma of the flowers,  The smell of rain upon the road,  The fragrance of dinner escaping from the homes.  PAUSE… Breathe it all in,  And let it warm you,  And relax you.  LONG PAUSE… Now imagine yourself opening your mouth,  And becoming aware of what you taste.   The sweet crispness of the night air,  The memories of the food you can still taste, The dryness or wetness of the air as it dances with your tongue.  PAUSE… Breathe deeper,  As you savor the flavors of the night.  LONG PAUSE… Your senses move you through,  The welcoming paths of your neighborhood. So you can breathe deeply into peaceful sleep.  So go ahead and let yourself settle into your bed,  Getting yourself into your most favorite sleeping position. And take your first deep breath in, filling your chest and belly with the fresh air of the evening,  And on your exhale, release out any tension you may be feeling in your body. Another deep breath in, expanding with nourishing oxygen, And exhale the heaviness. Last deep breath in, filling your belly as much as you can, And then let all the air out and fall deeper into your position. Bring your breathing to its natural, easy rhythm, And just be here for a bit, Aware of the natural slowing down of your breath, The slowing down of your heartbeat, The slowing down of your mind. Breathe… PAUSE… Thoughts may begin popping up, Wanting to invade your mind with visions of things to worry about, Tasks to finish, Even deep fears to feel.  Just observe as these thoughts or visions arrive, And see if you can imagine moving them from out of your mind into an open, empty room. One by one, imagine yourself moving these thoughts into this room, shutting the door behind you each time you leave one. Move those thoughts, Place them in the room, Releasing their power, Releasing the pain, Releasing the tension, Releasing the anxiety. Breathe it all out of you, And feel yourself melt further into your bed.  PAUSE… Now imagine yourself approaching the door to this room. Your mind is relaxed and you feel safe, knowing all of the thoughts, emotions and anxieties are outside of you and in this room. As the door opens, you look inside the room. And instead of it being full of everything you had just placed there, Instead, you see yourself sitting on the floor.  This is you as a little child.   She's anxious. Scared.  And the embodiment of all those worries and emotions you just placed here. PAUSE… Your body immediately fills with compassion for this little girl, for yourself.  So you slowly approach her, sit down, And embrace her with tenderness and love.  It's okay, you hear yourself saying to her. Everything's going to be okay. This moment is all there is and right now, you are safe, lying in your bed, listening to these words and surrounded by love. She melts in your arms and surrenders to you. Let it go, my love, you say. You are safe. And everything is already okay. It's time to sleep. Let me hold you as you give yourself to the night,  Trusting she will hold you with care, just as I am, And deliver you to the morning peacefully. PAUSE… Let it go. And then a few lines later… But he's no good at being uncomfortable, so he can't stop staying exactly the same. I remember making the connection back then that to change, to evolve, means that we're going to be uncomfortable.  So it's a good practice to get comfortable being uncomfortable.   So today, I want to share a meditation with you that will give you the opportunity to practice being comfortable being uncomfortable - both physically and metaphorically - so you can use it as a tool as you continue your own beautiful evolution.  So let yourself settle into a seated position, Either sitting cross legged or with your legs slightly parted in front of you. Now as you draw your breath in, See if you can straighten your spine just a bit, Pulling your shoulders back, And pushing your chest out.  Find that place that isn't too rigid,  But still erect and relaxed. And then find your breath. Following its movement in and out of your nose.  Breathe in, Breathe out. PAUSE… Keeping this position, place your hands on your legs, Palms facing up. Nice and relaxed, Let your fingers either rest into a position that's comfortable,   Or lightly touch your middle finger to your thumb.  Now breathe, And feel the air easily filling up your body in this position, Cleansing you, Calming you. PAUSE… There is no perfect meditation position, And perhaps you're recalling that these meditations rarely ask you to be in a certain position. But today, we're practicing sitting here very deliberately,  Aware it may be different for you,  Aware that it may bring up some physical discomfort, So you can practice being comfortable being uncomfortable.  So for the next few minutes, we're simply going to practice being here,  Present in this position. One with your breath, And connected to your body. And if your body sends you messages of discomfort,  See if you can simply be with those discomforts, instead of changing them.  Now breathe… LONG PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your breath, Taking a deep breath in, And on your exhale, go ahead and release this position if you'd like, And settle into one that's more comfortable for you.  PAUSE… Now take a moment to think about anything in your life that feels uncomfortable right now.  Perhaps there are discomforts in your work,  In your relationships, In your health, Or in your finances.  See if you can bring to mind just one example of a situation or thing that is uncomfortable or unsettled for you right now.  And then be here with it.   Without changing it. Without thinking of solutions. Without judging it.  Just sit with it. Releasing any meaning it may have for you, Like petals falling from a flower. And just observing it for the next little bit. LONG PAUSE… You are a woman of love and light,  And your special journey is a constantly evolving work of art, That asks for you to practice being comfortable being uncomfortable,  So that you may flourish as you are destined to. Tighten your legs and feet for one, two, three seconds… Release and feel them melt further into their position.   Take a deep breath in, filling your belly with air as much as you can, And breathe the air all the way out.  Now bring your breathing back to its normal rhythm,  And just be here.  Letting yourself be with the rhythm of your relaxed, calm body.   PAUSE… I am grateful.   As you hear these words, I want you to finish the sentence silently in your mind, visualizing your answer and letting your face and your heart soften with love with each vision you see.   I am grateful for… I am grateful for… I am grateful for… I am grateful for… I am grateful for… Notice the lightness. Notice the calm. Notice the sweet softness.  There is so much to be grateful for right now.   Take another moment to sit in all the blessings in your life right now.  PAUSE… Now imagine the trees around you. The grass. The leaves. The water. The snow. The rain. The birds. The animals.   Let all the realities of mother nature surrounding you, in whatever form that may be right now, come to mind.   And let yourself feel connected to her.   Let yourself hear the birds.  Feel the warmth of the sun or the crispness of the air.   See the water or the snow or the clouds or trees outside your window.   Imagine yourself feeling the sand or grass or dirt under your feet. You are a part of this earth.   Right here, right now.  And we are connected here.   In this moment.   See yourself connected to the nature around you, pulling you into this present moment.  You are love.  You are light.  You are kindness and compassion.  And your light can shine on others today,  Bringing more love into our world.  Now take a deep breath in, feeling yourself glow brighter and brighter, And exhale, watching as that glow radiates out from you.  Another deep breath in, watching your light glow even brighter,  And breathe your light out into the world around you.  One last deep breath in, feeling your light filling every part of your body,  And exhale your light out onto the world.  Bring your breathing to its normal rhythm, bringing your hands to your heart and bowing your head to your hands.  The light in me honors the light in you.  Namaste, Beautiful.

Feel the way it touches your blankets, The way your head is rested upon your pillow, The way the gentle movements of your breathing, Slow down, With every inhale, And exhale.  PAUSE… Now, take a big, deep breath in, Gathering up all the details of the day, Hold it at the top for just a moment. Hold it.  And then exhale, Releasing everything out, And letting it float into the night.  PAUSE… Breath in deeply one more time, Expanding your belly as far as it can go. Holding it all in for a moment. And then breathe it all out, Letting go of those thoughts, Those worries,  All those plans. And then settle yourself into a gentle, Easy rhythm of breathing, As you melt further into your bed.  Now see if you can imagine yourself, Standing in a lush, Green forest. PAUSE… Lay on your back, keeping your spine straight and relaxed. Now gently close your eyes, and become aware of your body. Observe it closely and release any unnecessary tension you might feel. LONG PAUSE… Now focus on your breath.  Feel it becoming deeper and slower as your heart rate slows down. PAUSE… Let a deep sense of relaxation expand within,  While your muscles become loose and heavy, And your body melts into your bed.  PAUSE… Dig deep within your consciousness,  And visualize a specific wish or intention you may have.  PAUSE… Now imagine a simple affirmation that describes its essence.  This is what it's called Sankalpa. PAUSE… Repeat the affirmation silently three times,  Feeling the importance of this desire. LONG PAUSE… Now come back into your body,  As we focus in on each part,  Bringing all of your attention to it,  Feeling that part soften and relax. PAUSE… We'll begin on your right side.  Bring your attention to your thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, little finger, palm of your right hand, back of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, upper arm, shoulder, armpit, waist, hip, thigh, knee, calf, ankle, heel, sole, top of the foot, right big toe, long toe, middle toe, fourth toe, pinky toe. PAUSE… Now the left side. Focus on your thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, little finger, the palm of your right hand, back of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, upper arm, shoulder, armpit, waist, hip, thigh, knee, calf, ankle, heel, sole, top of the foot, right big toe, long toe, middle toe, fourth toe, pinky toe. PAUSE… Observe the right side of the back of your body, Heel, calf, thigh, butt, and shoulder blade.  Turn to the left side, Heel, calf, thigh, butt, shoulder blade.  Now onto the lower back, middle back, upper back, and entire spine. PAUSE… Become aware of the back of the neck, back of the head, top of the head, and forehead.  Move to the right side of your skull, temple, ear, eyebrow, eye, nostril, cheek. Now upper lip, lower lip, mouth.  Transition to the left side of your skull, temple, ear, eyebrow, eye, nostril, cheek. Focus on the chin, jaw, throat, upper abdomen, navel, and lower abdomen. Move to the right collarbone, right side of the chest, and right groin.  Move to the left collarbone, the left side of the chest, the left groin, and the pelvic area. Now focus on the right leg, left leg, right arm, left arm, your face, the whole head, the torso, and then your whole body. LONG PAUSE… Bring all your attention to the fresh air that flows through your body as you inhale. Then feel the warm air traveling through your nose as you exhale. Breathe… PAUSE… In synch with each breath,  Count down from 20, inhaling 20,  Exhaling 19,  Inhaling 18,  Exhaling 17,  And so on.  Take your time, staying calm and patient. If you lose count simply start again. LONG PAUSE…   Now it's time to express your wish or Sankalpa. Silently say the statement you created in the beginning that encapsulates your desires.  LONG PAUSE… Breathe, One with your inhale,  One with your exhale.  Deeply relaxed,  One with sleep.  Namaste, Beautiful
