Story: Strange Truths Author: Leyla Harrison Rating: Explicit Site link: http://fluky.gossamer.org/display.php?StrangeTruths Read by: kristinsauter Summary:Personal Disclaimer and Spoilers: post-Gethsemane. Tiny spoilers for Memento Mori and One Breath. I could spend all summer writing explanations for how Chris Carter is going to get himself out of *this* one, but I would rather not. Special Note: I'm kind of vague in this story about what has happened to Mulder - I've done that on purpose so I have something to write about for the rest of the summer. This story instead has Scully dealing with the spread of her cancer. I seem to be a bit obsessed with the cancer angle at the moment - forgive me. It's a personal thing; I've been sick with it myself lately. I watch Gillian Anderson portray Scully, who lately has been the absolute strongest woman on television, and I am in awe. In the meantime, I'm trying to get back to the smut I am known for. Anyhow - there's a bit of sexual activity and also some introspection here. A few words of advice: if you're looking for a story to cheer you up, go look somewhere else. ***Every effort was made to reach out to this author for permission but we weren't able to make contact. In any moment, you have an opportunity to pause, reflect, and pay attention from the beginning to the end of one inhalation. Or one exhalation. You don't need to commit to any more. Yoga teaches us that there is nothing you need to grasp. This episode explores the benefits of one-breath meditation and offers suggestions for how to practice (hint: it's very easy!) and how to remember to pause.

Special Guest Dave Holloway    Dave Holloway, a breathwork meditator and Fire Walker. Together, they explore the art of combining the mind, body, and heart to unlock inner tranquility and find clarity and peace within.   Dave's journey into personal development began unexpectedly through a property investing program. However, he soon discovered a deeper passion for emotional intelligence during a retreat led by Sanjay Shar. Now, Dave is a master Fire Walk instructor and a multi-sensory breathwork practitioner, guiding others through transformative meditative experiences.   Throughout the episode, Karen and Dave delve into the interconnectedness of self-development, wealth creation, and the realms of "wu-wu." They emphasize the importance of personal growth, shifting mindsets, and adjusting our course in life. They also discuss the power of diverse perspectives and how different individuals express universal concepts in their unique ways, leading to a profound understanding.   Dave introduces his unique breathwork technique, inspired by his work in emotional intelligence. He shares how the combination of breathwork, meditation, and fire walking can empower individuals to tap into their energy, unleash their creative potential, and achieve a balanced life. They explore the misconceptions around the concept of "being" and highlight the need to find one's authentic self and apply it to actions.   The conversation also touches on the modern disconnect between the mind, body, and heart, emphasizing the consequences of neglecting any one aspect. They discuss the dominance of the ego mind and the importance of using it as a tool rather than being controlled by it. Dave introduces the concept of multi-sensory breathwork, an immersive practice that exhausts the mind and allows natural body intelligence to take over, unlocking one's true potential.   Dave reflects on his accidental path towards inner peace and how he now helps others with busy minds find tranquility. He shares stories of people who have experienced profound healing and personal growth through breathwork sessions. They discuss the scientific advancements supporting these phenomena and the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern interpretations.   The episode concludes with a discussion on the significance of firewalking and the importance of self-mastery. Dave encourages listeners to visit his website, One Breath.uk, where they can find more information about breathwork sessions, meditations, and transformative experiences.   If you're seeking clarity, peace, and self-discovery, this episode of "A Coffee with Karen" is a must-listen. In this week's Pause™ cast the theme we are working on together is an introduction to our breath and breathing. Often what is most simple is most profound. That which we take for granted is the most essential; that which is right in front of us is the most important. And the breath is perhaps the most poignant example of this. When we inhale we enliven ourselves. On a deeper level, what we are doing when we inhale is inhaling the Cosmic, Supernal Exhale that is right this moment, enlivening, animating, and sustaining creation. What a blessing to live with this awareness. Just this moment. Just this breath. Just this moment. Just this breath. And the knowing of it.Rabbi Levi says in the name of Rabbi Chanina: For each and every breath that man takes he must give praise to the Creator. How do we know this? For it says in Tehillim (Psalms) 150:6:Let all souls praise G-d, Hallelu-yah!Pause Point: If you lived in your heart, you'd be home right now.Pause Point: With each and every breath we are reminded of the blessing of the moment, and we are invited to renew our lives.Breathing and Quieting the Mind-https://www.amazon.com/Breathing-Quieting-Mind-DovBer-Pinson/dp/0989007219For further questions, comments, observations and feedback please be in touch with Dr. Benjy @ benjy.pause@meaningfulminute.org
