Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every single day. We are in the Gospel of Mark. Visit the website and purchase the Scripture Journal for this study so that you can follow along with us. I am giving a shout-out today to Rob Reed from Perham, MN. Thank you for being a monthly partner in Project23 and helping us share the Gospel with millions as we work our way through the entire Bible. Today, we're reading Mark 2:6-12: Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!” — Mark 2:6-12 It looked like a healing story. It sounded like a healing story. But Jesus was doing way more than healing legs—He was forgiving sins. The scribes caught it. And they hated it. "Who does this man think he is? Only God can forgive sins!" Exactly. That's the whole point. Jesus reads their minds. Calls them out. He forces the issue: Which is easier to say—"your sins are forgiven" or "get up and walk"? From a human view, both are impossible. But for Jesus? He can do both. So he does both. He heals the body to prove his authority over the soul. Jesus isn't just a good teacher, a moral man, or a first-century miracle worker. He's God. In the flesh. With authority over everything. And when Jesus speaks—things happen. Sins are stricken. Muscles are strengthened. Religious officials are irritated. Crowds stand in wonder. Because Jesus doesn't just fix external symptoms—he fixes the internal problems with the soul. So, are you experiencing external symptoms of internal problems? Bring them to Jesus. He goes beyond healing. He heals everything. #AuthorityOfChrist, #ForgivenAndHealed, #MarkStudy ASK THIS: What secret doubt or sin have you been hiding from others—and from God? How does Jesus' ability to read your heart change how you approach him in prayer? In what area of your life do you need both forgiveness and tangible healing? What step of faith can you take today to trust Jesus' authority over your soul? DO THIS: Identify one hidden struggle in your heart and bring it to Jesus today—confess it, trust his forgiveness, and believe for healing. PRAY THIS: Lord Jesus, I lay my hidden sins and deepest hurts before you. Forgive me, heal me, and reveal your authority in every part of my life. Amen PLAY THIS: Gratitude.

Easter SundayIn this powerful Easter message, Pastor Eric walks us through Luke 24:1–12, where the women arrive at Jesus' tomb at dawn, only to find the stone rolled away and the body gone. As confusion sets in, two angels appear and remind them of Jesus' promise: “He is not here; He has risen.” Pastor Eric reflects on the courage of the women, the initial doubt of the disciples, and the wonder of Peter as he races to the tomb. This passage challenges us to confront our own doubts and embrace the life-changing truth of the resurrection. Through Pastor Eric's message, we're reminded that faith often begins where certainty ends—and that the empty tomb is not the end of the story, but the beginning of eternal hope.Prayer of the Day God of mercy, we no longer look for Jesus among the dead, for he is alive and has become the Lord of life. Increase in our minds and hearts the risen life we share with Christ, and help us to grow as your people toward the fullness of eternal life with you, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Welcome to Calvary Lutheran Church ELCA. Perham, Minnesota.Thank God. Share Jesus. Help Others.Prayer of the DayLoving God, we don't always understand why things happen the way they do. Yet, like Joseph, we also believe that you are at work in our lives. Give us faith to trust you no matter what challenges we face. Help us to follow where you lead, confident that your loving presence goes with us. Amen.Reading: Genesis 50:15-2114-15 After burying his father, Joseph went back to Egypt. All his brothers who had come with him to bury his father returned with him. After the funeral, Joseph's brothers talked among themselves: “What if Joseph is carrying a grudge and decides to pay us back for all the wrong we did him?”16-17 So they sent Joseph a message, “Before his death, your father gave this command: Tell Joseph, ‘Forgive your brothers' sin—all that wrongdoing. They did treat you very badly.' Will you do it? Will you forgive the sins of the servants of your father's God?”When Joseph received their message, he wept.18 Then the brothers went in person to him, threw themselves on the ground before him and said, “We'll be your slaves.”19-21 Joseph replied, “Don't be afraid. Do I act for God? Don't you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now—life for many people. Easy now, you have nothing to fear; I'll take care of you and your children.” He reassured them, speaking with them heart-to-heart.Message Pastor Eric Clapp / calvaryperham YouTube: / @calvaryperham Lakes 99.5 Radio Sundays at 10:30TUESDAY WORSHIP9:00AM Arvig TV Channel 14egiving www.calvaryperham.com

Welcome to Calvary Lutheran Church ELCA. Perham, Minnesota. Thank God. Share Jesus. Help Others. Prayer of the Day Almighty God, your sovereign purpose brings salvation, healing and new life to birth. Give us faith to be steadfast amid the tumults of this world, trusting that your kingdom comes and your will is done through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. Ruth 3:1-18 1 Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, I need to seek some security for you, so that it may be well with you. 2 Now here is our kinsman Boaz, with whose young women you have been working. See, he is winnowing barley tonight at the threshing-floor. 3 Now wash and anoint yourself, and put on your best clothes and go down to the threshing-floor; but do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking. 4 When he lies down, observe the place where he lies; then, go and uncover his feet and lie down; and he will tell you what to do.” 5 She said to her, “All that you tell me I will do.” 6 So she went down to the threshing-floor and did just as her mother-in-law had instructed her. 7 When Boaz had eaten and drunk, and he was in a contented mood, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of grain. Then she came quietly and uncovered his feet, and lay down. 8 At midnight the man was startled and turned over, and there, lying at his feet, was a woman! 9 He said, “Who are you?” And she answered, “I am Ruth, your servant; spread your cloak over your servant, for you are next-of-kin.” 10 He said, “May you be blessed by the Lord, my daughter; this last instance of your loyalty is better than the first; you have not gone after young men, whether poor or rich. 11 And now, my daughter, do not be afraid; I will do for you all that you ask, for all the assembly of my people know that you are a worthy woman. 12 But now, though it is true that I am a near kinsman, there is another kinsman more closely related than I. 13 Remain this night, and in the morning, if he will act as next-of-kin for you, good; let him do so. If he is not willing to act as next-of-kin for you, then, as the Lord lives, I will act as next-of-kin for you. Lie down until the morning.” 14 So she lay at his feet until morning, but got up before one person could recognize another; for he said, “It must not be known that the woman came to the threshing-floor.” 15 Then he said, “Bring the cloak you are wearing and hold it out.” So she held it, and he measured out six measures of barley, and put it on her back; then he went into the city. 16 She came to her mother- in-law, who said, “How did things go with you, my daughter?” Then she told her all that the man had done for her, 17 saying, “He gave me these six measures of barley, for he said, ‘Do not go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.'” 18 She replied, “Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out, for the man will not rest, but will settle the matter today.” P. Jesus promises that “where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” Here, Jesus speaks of the power of Christian community. Of God's people gathered together in Jesus' name. Tonight we get to celebrate our All Saints Remembrance and Celebration, where we each will have a chance to remember and give thanks for someone who has encouraged us in our faith and in our relationship with Jesus. We sang, “Here I raise my Ebenezer, for by thy help I've come.” An Ebenezer is a stone of help. In the Bible, Samuel experiences God's help and sets up a stone as a sign to remind the people that God helped them in that place. Tonight, we'll read about Jacob also setting up a stone as a sign that God is in the place he was. Cyclical Living: Harnessing our Natural Cycles & Rhythms with Lou Perham

Cyclical living is the practice of aligning with the natural cycles and rhythms present in our lives, whether it's the seasons, the Moon, your menstrual cycle, or your circadian rhythm. It can also apply to how we approach projects, meetings, or plan activities at work.  Everything in our environment and bodies operates in cycles—our sleep patterns, hormonal shifts, breathing, and heartbeat. The essence of cyclical living involves being mindful of these rhythms and adapting to the natural ebbs and flows of energy and emotions. For instance, in women's health, cyclical living often focuses on the menstrual cycle, encouraging individuals to adjust energy levels, productivity, self-care, and social activities according to the phases of their cycle (menstruation, follicular, ovulation, and luteal phases). More broadly, it can be applied to how we engage with seasonal changes—rest and introspection during winter, renewal and activity in spring. Cyclical living promotes tuning into these rhythms to enhance mental, emotional, and physical well-being. In this episode of The Happier Life Project, host Gabby speaks with Lou Perham, a Menstruality and Cyclical Living Mentor, educator, and speaker. Lou empowers women to embrace their cycles, prioritise rest, and find balance by syncing with life's natural rhythms. Whether it's the menstrual cycle, lunar phases, or seasonal transitions, Lou uses this framework to guide individuals toward holistic well-being. Lou shares her powerful story of healing and transformation through cyclical living. At 25, she was diagnosed with PCOS and told it was unlikely she would fulfil her dream of becoming a mother. However, by embracing the cyclical way of life, Lou was able to conceive naturally at 32. Lou offers practical advice on how to integrate cyclical living into daily life and explains its profound benefits for our mental health, highlighting how it reduces stress and burnout by encouraging self-compassion and acceptance of natural energy fluctuations. This approach also fosters greater self-awareness, helping individuals avoid the guilt or frustration that comes from trying to maintain a constant level of productivity. Tune in to learn all about cyclical living and how this practice can be a transformative way to reconnect with yourself and improve your mental and physical health.
