Stanton Friedman gave his Keynote Presentation FLYING SAUCERS AND SCIENCE at the 2017 Ozark Mountain UFO Conference in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. After 58 years of study and investigation, nuclear physicist Stanton T. Friedman has summarized his views about flying saucers. He is convinced that the evidence is overwhelming that SOME UFOs are intelligently controlled extraterrestrial spacecraft, that the subject represents a Cosmic Watergate, that there are no good objections to these conclusions, and that flying saucer reality and its cover-up is the biggest story of the past millennium. His lecture covers 5 large scale scientific studies that most people are not aware of. He reviews the four major reasons leaders in the scientific and journalistic communities have not yet jumped on the pro-UFO bandwagon.He covers landing trace cases and the star map seen by Betty Hill on board a flying saucer and the scientific investigation of it by Marjorie Fish. That work focuses on two sun-like Stars (Zeta 1 and Zeta 2 Reticuli) only 39.3 light years from Earth, only an eighth of a light year apart from each other, and at least a billion years older than the sun. He reviews possible fission and fusion rockets on some of which he has worked and notes how close we, a primitive society whose major activity is tribal warfare, are to interstellar travel. In which I discuss what the Engineers meant by those "invitations", wonder what the hell a Zeta 2 Reticuli is and delve into an unused scene from the Spaight's script.

The registration for the "Zeta Reticuli 2" corporation is a public record at the Nevada Department of State, which registers corporations. Both Lazar and Bigelow are listed as officers. As the story goes, Lazar not only worked with Element 115; he managed to smuggle some of it out, and the corporation was somehow intended to test or exploit it. (So much for intense base security! How can a low-level employee smuggle what is arguably the most precious substance on Earth?) We still don't know the purpose or business plan of the Zeta Reticuli 2 Corporation. The only thing certain is that it existed. We can also assume that when a private corporation is formed, its intent is to make money. The System: Based upon parallax measurements, this system is located at a distance of about 39 light-years (12 parsecs) from the Earth. Zeta2 Reticuli is orbited by a circumstellar debris disk The two stars are known as Zeta 1 and Zeta 2 Reticuli, or together as simply Zeta Reticuli. They are each fifth magnitude stars — barely visible to the unaided eye — located in the obscure southern constellation Reticulum. This southerly sky location makes Zeta Reticuli invisible to observers north of Mexico City's latitude Abduction Reference to Zeta Reticuli: Among the most influential and widely known UFO incidents is the story of Barney and Betty Hill, a middle-aged New Hampshire couple who in 1961 were returning from vacation. Driving late at night through the White Mountains, the Hills encountered a UFO whose alien occupants reportedly took them on board and subjected them to a thorough medical examination. Betty Hill famously drew a star map from memory, in 1964, under psychoanalysis. The map supposedly showed the sky as seen from a planet orbiting the star Zeta Reticuli, from which the alien abductors had arrived. Keeping with the theme of alien abductions, this week we look at one of the most frequently studied abduction cases--Betty and Barney Hill. Taken together in September 1961, the Hills are famous for the specific details of their case, particularly as they are recalled by Betty. Most importantly, upon their return Betty drew the now famous Reticuli star map, that predicted the position of a nearby star system and its position to our own. This episode we go over the details of the case and discuss how trauma can be understood through narratives.
