Pretty much every woman I know struggles with her own version of enoughness -  pretty enough, smart enough, good enough, nice enough, thin enough. Myself included.  It's not a coincidence  that so many women feel this way - new live in a whorl that profits from it.  We've been conditioned that way for centuries. Were influenced by it every day in no many ways. In this episode I sit down with Barbara Burgess, author o of the book Enough. We go deep on what it really means to feel enough—and why so many of us spend half our lives chasing it. We unpack the sneaky ways society teaches women to prove themselves and the comparison trap that steals our joy. And also how we find peace in ourselves exactly as we are   Barbara opens up about her own enoughness journey  and the fears and doubts that Alamos kept her form writing this book. She shares how setting boundaries helped her finally live unapologetically and feel confident in her choices.  This chat is equal parts soul-food and truth-bombs—a reminder that life's way too short to keep waiting for permission to be who we are and want what we want. So grab your coffee and settle in for an honest, heart-warming talk about finding peace with who you already are.

Host Trevor Hall welcomes Jason Kosec, who has been busy orchestrating two major gold mining deals. They begin by discussing Kosec's role as non-executive chairman at Minera Alamos and its acquisition of the Pan Mine, which is now poised to become a new gold producer. The conversation then shifts to the headline-making, billion-dollar deal for the historic Hemlo Gold Mine, which was sold to Carcetti Capital. Jason outlines his team's vision for revitalizing the asset, explaining how they can increase production by leveraging underutilized hoisting and mill capacity. Finally, Kosec addresses critics who suggest the deal signals a market top, defending the valuation by highlighting the mine's low costs, long life, and the high price of building a similar operation today.

Minera Alamos – Unpacking The Transformational Acquisition Of The Producing Pan Gold Mine and Gold Rock Development Project In Nevada

Jason Kosec, the new Chairman of Minera Alamos (TSX.V:MAI) (OTCQX:MAIFF), joins me to unpack the key takeaways from news announced on July 7th about their acquisition of Calibre USA Holdings Ltd from Equinox Gold Corp. for total consideration of US$115 million, subject to adjustment.  Calibre USA holds a 100% economic interest in the producing Pan Gold Mine, development-stage Gold Rock Project, and exploration-stage Illipah Project in Nevada, USA.    We start off discussing how this is a truly transformational transaction for the Company, in that it brings in the producing Pan Gold Mine, doing about 35,000-40,000 ounces of gold production annually at the heap leach operations.  This mine is generating strong cash flows given the current record gold price environment, and Jason outlines how these revenues can be used to organically grow and develop the other pipeline of low-capital intensity, quick-build, high-return, gold development projects like the past-producing Copperstone Mine in Arizona,  the Cerro De Oro Project in Zacatecas, Mexico, the Gold Rock Project in Nevada, and the Fortuna Project in Mexico.   Jason also reiterates that this is not the company loosing interest or pivoting away from Mexico, but making an acquisition that brings in revenues and changes the valuation metrics while they await the permits in Mexico that the team still believes they will receive from the new administration.  This transaction immediately strengthens their production profile, beyond just the residual leaching at the Santa operations. More importantly, bringing in a larger production profile should improve their valuation multiple with a likely rerating over time that is more in alignment with junior producing peers. Operating a solid production asset in Nevada will also lower their future cost of capital for advancing their other development assets, without as much equity dilution moving forward. There is also the benefit of minimizing future risk by diversifying their assets into one of the strongest jurisdictions there is in Nevada. We also discuss how the recent financing has attracted a much stronger institutional investor base that wants to see the pathway to multiple mines in multiple jurisdictions.   We go on to discuss the exploration upside both around the Pan Mine and at the Gold Rock Project, not to mention across their whole portfolio of projects.  Now there will larger incoming revenues to truly intensify exploration efforts at multiple projects.   One can also see the pathway to future production growth and into a mid-tier producer with the Copperstone Mine slated to produce roughly 40,000 ounces of gold per year, and with both Cerro De Oro and Gold Rock each estimated to produce ~60,000 ounces of gold per year.  After those 3 mines have ramped up to commercial production, alongside of the Pan Mine, then there is also the development-stage Fortuna Mine in Mexico that will move into position as mine number 5.     If you have any follow-up questions for Jason regarding Minera Alamos, then please email them into me at  Shad@kereport.com.   In full disclosure, Shad is a shareholder of Minera Alamos at the time of this recording.   Click here to follow the latest news from Minera Alamos

Interview with James McDonald, President & CEO of Kootenay Silver Inc.Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/kootenay-silver-ktn-high-grade-mexican-silver-explorer-and-developerRecording date: 9th July 2025Kootenay Silver (TSXV:KTN) represents a compelling investment opportunity in the emerging silver bull market, combining proven management expertise with high-grade Mexican silver assets positioned for strategic acquisition. The company's recent maiden resource estimate at its flagship Columba project demonstrates institutional-quality assets with significant expansion potential. The 54 million ounce maiden resource at Columba, grading 284 g/t silver, establishes Kootenay Silver among the higher-grade silver developers globally. The resource concentration in three primary vein systems, particularly the D Vein containing over 30 million ounces across 1,200 meters of strike length, provides operational advantages for potential future mining scenarios. Combined with the company's broader portfolio exceeding 300 million ounces across multiple Mexican properties, this scale positions Kootenay Silver as a significant silver platform.Columba's geological setting within a preserved volcanic caldera provides exceptional exploration upside. The minimal surface erosion has preserved the vein system from top to bottom, while drilling has confirmed strong mineralization extending to 540 meters depth with potential for significantly greater vertical extent. The 4-kilometer by 3-kilometer vein system footprint compares favorably to established Mexican silver districts, suggesting district-scale potential.CEO James McDonald's experience co-founding Alamos Gold provides credibility for value creation. The Alamos success story—acquiring 2.2 million ounces for $12.5 million during the gold market bottom and achieving commercial production within six years—demonstrates management's ability to identify and develop undervalued assets. Kootenay Silver employs a similar strategy, advancing discoveries to preliminary economic assessment stage before selling to major mining companies, reducing capital requirements while maintaining upside exposure. The company's $20 million financing enables systematic resource expansion through 50,000 meters of drilling over 2025. The initial 30,000 meters target "low-hanging fruit" by expanding known mineralized zones, providing high-probability success and regular news flow. Management has identified clear milestones, targeting 100 million ounces to attract strategic interest, with serious acquisition discussions typically beginning around 75 million ounces.Kootenay Silver benefits from favorable silver market dynamics as prices break out from multi-year trading ranges. Supply constraints from declining ore grades and limited new discoveries combine with accelerating industrial demand from renewable energy, electric vehicles, and 5G infrastructure. Monetary demand intensifies as central banks maintain expansionary policies and geopolitical tensions drive diversification from traditional assets.Risk-Adjusted ReturnsThe company has de-risked key development factors through established surface access agreements, proximity to major infrastructure, and favorable political developments in Mexico. The drilling-focused strategy requires continued capital access, though the recent financing provides runway through 2025's critical expansion phase.Kootenay Silver offers investors leveraged exposure to silver's emerging bull market through a proven management team advancing high-grade assets toward strategic acquisition. The combination of exceptional resource quality, systematic development approach, and favorable market timing creates multiple pathways for value creation as the company advances toward the scale thresholds that attract major mining company interest.View Kootenay Silver's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/kootenay-silver-incSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

U.S. Gold Corp CEO George Bee joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a key advancement in the company's development strategy for its flagship CK Gold Project in southeast Wyoming. The company has contracted two industry leaders—Micon International and Halyard—to lead the next phase of engineering and feasibility work, with the goal of delivering a robust and executable development plan that brings the project into production on time and on budget. Following a competitive evaluation process, U.S. Gold selected Micon and Halyard for their deep expertise in concentrator design and process engineering, and their reputation for “right-sizing” projects to meet operational and economic goals. The firms have a combined track record of over 762 completed projects and more than 1,260 technical reports, making them trusted global authorities in mineral project development. The primary objective of this next phase is to develop a site-specific AACE Class 3 cost estimate—a highly detailed engineering and cost forecast level required for capital funding decisions—and a comprehensive project execution plan. These deliverables will form the backbone of the company's Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), which is expected to be completed by late 2025. In addition to the Micon-Halyard partnership, U.S. Gold has also retained Ken Murray of Captrics Consulting to oversee the finalization of engineering studies and lead the development of the Project Execution Plan. Murray brings more than 25 years of capital project and innovation experience across a wide range of commodities, industries, and geographies. Renowned for his strategic insight and innovative thinking, Murray has held senior roles with Kemix, DRA Global, Accenture, Ausenco, SNC-Lavalin, and Inspire Resources, supporting projects for major mining companies such as BHP, AngloPlatinum, Assmang, Alamos, New Gold, and Goldcorp. The CK Gold Project is a cornerstone asset for U.S. Gold Corp, offering a compelling combination of scale, grade, and jurisdictional stability. As development accelerates with trusted technical partners and experienced leadership in place, the company is well-positioned to transform CK Gold into a strategic, U.S.-based source of gold and copper in a market increasingly focused on domestic resource security. #proactiveinvestors #usgoldcorp #nasdaq #usau #mining #USGoldCorp #CKGoldProject #GoldMining #CopperMining #WyomingMining #MiningStocks #GeorgeBee #GoldPrice #FeasibilityStudy #JuniorMining #ProactiveInvestors

Interview with Sean Roosen, Founder & CEO of Osisko Development Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/osisko-development-tsxvodv-permitted-cariboo-project-towards-becoming-500000-oz-gold-camp-6379Recording date: 4th June 2025Osisko Development Corporation presents a compelling investment opportunity as one of only two fully permitted gold mines in Canada, positioning the company to capitalize on gold's strategic renaissance while benefiting from exceptional project economics and proven management execution.Project FundamentalsThe Cariboo Gold project in British Columbia represents a rare permitted asset in an increasingly constrained development environment. With construction permits secured in under 5 years compared to the industry average of 14 years, Osisko Development has overcome the primary hurdle facing gold developers. The project targets initial production of 200,000 ounces annually from a 5,000 ton per day operation, requiring $650 million capex versus competitors demanding $6.5 billion. The deposit contains 2 million ounces in reserves at 3.8 grams per ton, significantly exceeding comparable Canadian operations like Alamos' Young Davidson mine at 2.2 g/t and Agnico's Goldex at 1.52 grams. Cariboo's additional resources include 1.6 million ounces measured and indicated plus 1.8 million ounces inferred, spanning a 4.4 kilometer strike within a 50 kilometer mineralized trend under company control.Superior EconomicsProduction economics appear robust with costs targeting $1,157 per ounce, generating substantial margins at current gold prices exceeding $2,400. At these levels, the operation projects annual free cash flow of $457 million, providing significant financial flexibility.Construction activities are underway with 1,200 meters of underground development completed and critical equipment secured. The company has invested $700 million to date with over 700,000 meters of drilling, demonstrating development thoroughness that reduces execution risk.Proven Management Track RecordCEO Sean Roosen brings exceptional credibility through his track record building Canadian Malartic, which became Canada's largest gold mine. After selling that asset for $4.1 billion in 2014, now the  mine represents $22 billion of Agnico Eagle's valuation. This value creation extends across the Osisko platform, including Osisko Mining's $2.16 billion sale to Gold Fields.Scaling and M&A PotentialThe project offers significant expansion potential through phased development, potentially reaching 500,000 ounces annually. Management envisions scaling from 5,000 to 15,000 tons per day processing rates, supported by the deposit's exceptional size. As Roosen noted, "You could put all three of those mines [Young Davidson, Goldex, and Landronne] in the footprint of this deposit and still have room for one more Young Davidson."The company operates with a $375 million market capitalization and benefits from strategic shareholder support, with investors holding 24% and 9.9% stakes respectively. Industry consolidation trends favor quality assets like Cariboo Gold, with management noting that "If I look at all the top 10 M&A ideas that come out, ODV is always on the list."Near-Term CatalystsProject financing announcements expected within two months should significantly de-risk the investment while potentially providing share price catalysts. The G Mining precedent, which achieved a $4.3 billion valuation after successful project development, demonstrates potential upside for executed development stories.Osisko Development represents leveraged exposure to gold's strategic importance through a rare permitted asset with superior economics, proven management, and multiple value creation pathways.View Osisko Development's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/osisko-developmentSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

THE SON OF SEVEN MOTHERSMay 3A man shares his story of growing up in a late 20th-century American cult—and how he escaped—in this gripping autobiography. As the adopted son of two cult leaders, Benjamin Risha was raised to someday assume a place of leadership in the Alamo Christian Foundation, with the Bible, and his parents' interpretations of it, as his guide. He believed the prophecies of his adoptive mother and father, Tony and Susan Alamo, including them being the two prophets foretold in the Book of Revelations who precede the second coming of Jesus Christ, them rising from the dead after they died, and such dire warnings as the ground opening up to swallow non-believers into hell. And he was sure that Susan Alamo could raise the dead as promised. However, when none of it happened, and the foundation slid from bucolic communal lifestyle to insufferable criminality that included absolute obedience to the Alamos, and polygamous marriages with girls as young as eight years old, Benjamin knew he had to escape. If he were caught trying to escape, he would be severely beaten, forced to go without food and water for his sins, and shamed in the community. So, he embarked on a journey to locate his birth parents, discover the truth about a world he knew nothing about . . . and find himself. In The Son of Seven Mothers, Benjamin Risha takes readers on a harrowing journey that few in the United States can imagine. And eventually he must choose between the life he knows and was “chosen” to lead, and his freedom.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Doug Ramshaw, President of Minera Alamos (TSX.V:MAI – OTCQX:MAIFF), joins us outline the key takeaways from news announced on October 28th about the acquisition of Sabre Gold Mines Corp. (TSX: SGLD) (OTCQB: SGLDF), and the potential of dual-track development for both the Copperstone Mine in Arizona and the Cerro De Oro Project in Zacatecas, Mexico.   Doug points out that this acquisition creates a more diversified North American platform for gold production, beyond the Santana gold mine operations (Sonora, Mexico), and that the addition of Copperstone (Arizona, US), in concert with the development of Cerro De Oro can be developed in tandem in a dual-track approach. He clarifies that this development of the underground Copperstone mine in Arizona is definitely not a pivot away from open-pit mining or the focus in Mexico, but rather a wise tuck-in acquisition to further expand their resource base and production profile. The site at Copperstone has significant infrastructure and permits in place, and the Company already has a mill in storage that will be moved to site next year, and will allow their technical group to quickly advance the project into production.    Switching to the capital management side of the business, Doug shares that Minera Alamos is also in discussions with lenders in connection with potentially expanding existing finance facilities to accommodate the development of both Copperstone as well as their Cerro de Oro project in Mexico, which is awaiting permit approvals. He mentions that this merger is a great example of how complementary assets can be combined to de-risk and scale up a development platform simultaneously.   At the Santana Mine, operations are moving right along sourcing ore from the Nicho Main Zone, and it will remain about a 20,000+ ounces per year production center for the company.  With Copperstone slated to produce roughly 40,000 ounces per year of gold, and Cerro De Oro slated to produce 60,000 ounces per year of gold; there is a clear pathway to 120,000 ounces of gold per year starting in 2026.  After all 3 mines have ramped up to commercial production, then there is also the Fortuna Mine in Mexico that will move into development as mine number 4.    If you have any follow-up questions for Doug regarding Minera Alamos, then please email us at  Shad@kereport.com and Fleck@kereport.com, and we'll get them address by management.     In full disclosure, Shad is a shareholder of Minera Alamos at the time of this recording.    Click here to follow along with the latest news at Minera Alamos

Interview with Doug Ramshaw, President & Director of Minera Alamos Inc.Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/minera-alamos-tsxvmai-mexican-gold-mining-with-growth-cash-flow-focus-5983Recording date: 1st November 2024Minera Alamos (TSXV:MAI) is rapidly advancing its portfolio of high-margin, low capex gold projects in the USA and Mexico. The company recently announced the acquisition of the Copperstone gold project in Arizona from Sabre Gold Mines. This transformative deal adds a near-term production asset in a Tier-1 jurisdiction to Minera's pipeline.Copperstone is a past-producing mine with substantial infrastructure already in place, including over 4,500 meters of underground development. A 2023 preliminary economic assessment outlined a 6-year, 40,000 oz per year operation with all-in sustaining costs of approximately $1,300/oz. Minera sees potential to optimize the mine plan, reduce capex, and grow the resource through exploration.Minera aims to bring Copperstone into production by late 2025 or early 2026. This would be followed closely by the startup of the Cerro de Oro project in Mexico, which is anticipated to produce over 60,000 oz per year. Together with the currently ramping up Santana mine, Minera expects to reach a consolidated production rate of 100,000 oz gold per year by 2026.Minera is acquiring Copperstone by issuing shares to Sabre Gold, with Minera owning 86% of the combined company. Sabre's existing debt will be eliminated as part of the transaction. Closing of the acquisition is expected in January 2025, and in the meantime Minera is focused on optimizing development plans and mobilizing its technical team. The Copperstone acquisition fits well with Minera's strategy of advancing high-margin, scalable gold projects with low capex intensity. The company's project portfolio boasts industry-leading capital efficiency, with quick paybacks expected on initial investments. By moving Copperstone forward in parallel with its Mexican projects, Minera offers investors multiple shots on goal and a rapid path to intermediate producer status.Macro trends appear supportive for the gold price, with safe haven demand buoyed by elevated inflation and geopolitical tensions. Minera Alamos President Doug Ramshaw sees particular opportunity for companies that can deliver low-cost, near-term production in this environment. "Developers offer tremendous value in this market," he explained in a recent interview. "Your development assets still got to have a near-term horizon and Copperstone gives us that."With an experienced management team, a portfolio of de-risked projects, and a clear path to cash flow, Minera Alamos presents a compelling investment case. The Copperstone acquisition marks an inflection point for the company as it transitions into a multi-asset, multi-jurisdictional gold producer with significant growth potential. Investors can look forward to a steady stream of catalysts as Minera advances its projects to production over the next 18-24 months.View Minera Alamos' company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/minera-alamosSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Interview with Doug Ramshaw, President & Director of Minera Alamos Inc.Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/minera-alamos-mai-focus-is-on-growing-low-cost-gold-production-2758Recording date: 18th September 2024Minera Alamos, a gold producer and developer operating in northern Mexico, presents an intriguing opportunity for investors seeking exposure to the gold mining sector. The company's strategy, centered on disciplined growth and a strong focus on free cash flow generation, sets it apart in an industry often characterized by aggressive expansion and capital-intensive projects.Led by President Doug Ramshaw, Minera Alamos is navigating the complex landscape of Mexican mining with a portfolio of projects at various stages of development. The company's flagship operation, the Santana mine in Sonora State, demonstrates management's operational flexibility. In response to challenging market conditions, the team made the strategic decision to scale back production at Santana, prioritizing balance sheet protection over short-term output. This move positions the company for potential production increases as market conditions improve. The company's most promising asset, the Cerro de Oro project in Zacatecas State, could be a game-changer for Minera Alamos. With a base case scenario of 60,000 ounces of gold production annually for over 8 years and an attractive all-in sustaining cost (AISC) profile, Cerro de Oro has the potential to generate significant free cash flow. At a gold price of $2,000 per ounce, the project is estimated to produce $58 million in annual free cash flow, a substantial figure for a company of Minera Alamos' size.Investors should note the company's approach to capital allocation and financing. Over the past four years, Minera Alamos has raised $26 million, with $8.6 million still on hand as of June 30, 2024. This conservative approach to capital deployment could be particularly advantageous in the cyclical mining industry, where many companies struggle with dilutive financings and poor returns on invested capital. The political and regulatory environment in Mexico remains a key consideration for investors. However, with the upcoming transition of power from President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum, there are indications that the permitting process for mining projects may improve. Minera Alamos appears well-positioned to benefit from any positive shifts in the regulatory landscape, particularly with its Cerro de Oro project.Potential catalysts for the company include progress on permitting for Cerro de Oro, production ramp-up at Santana, and positive developments in the project timeline for Cerro de Oro. However, investors should also be mindful of risks, including ongoing political uncertainty in Mexico, gold price volatility, and the inherent operational risks in mining.Minera Alamos' emphasis on free cash flow generation and disciplined growth could appeal to investors seeking gold exposure with a focus on shareholder returns. The company's projected free cash flow yield, particularly from the Cerro de Oro project, may compare favorably to larger gold miners, potentially offering an attractive value proposition. In conclusion, Minera Alamos represents a focused play on gold mining in Mexico, with a management team committed to capital efficiency and value creation. While the risks inherent in junior gold mining should not be overlooked, the company's strategic approach to navigating challenges and its portfolio of promising assets position it as an interesting option for investors looking to diversify their exposure to the gold sector.View Minera Alamos' company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/minera-alamosSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

The company's strategic growth initiatives, cost control measures, and focus on operational efficiency make it an attractive option for investors seeking exposure to the gold sector.John McCluskey, President and CEO of Alamos Gold, paints an optimistic picture of the gold market: "I think it's as positive an environment as I've seen in my career. Everything is lining up for what I consider a lengthy and very bullish run for gold right now." This positive outlook is underpinned by various macroeconomic factors, including low interest rates, inflationary pressures, and global economic uncertainties.Alamos Gold has grown impressively in recent years, increasing its gold reserves from less than 2 million ounces to 13.5 million ounces. The company currently produces around 600,000 ounces annually and has set an ambitious target to reach 1 million ounces of production by the end of the 2020s. This growth trajectory is supported by strategic acquisitions and successful exploration efforts.A key strength of Alamos Gold is its ability to control costs while benefiting from rising gold prices. McCluskey notes, "We've been one of the few companies that's kept costs flat while the gold price has been rising, so we're generating a lot more free cash flow."This cost discipline has resulted in expanding margins and increased profitability, setting Alamos apart from many of its industry peers. The company's recent acquisition of Argonaut Gold's Magino mine demonstrates its growth strategy. This acquisition offers significant synergies with Alamos' existing operations and provides additional optionality for future expansion. The deal, valued at approximately $550 million, is expected to deliver substantial value to shareholders.Alamos Gold is also at the forefront of technological innovation in the mining industry. The company invests heavily in productivity improvements, implementing advanced technologies and equipment to lower costs and increase operational efficiency. This focus on innovation positions Alamos well for long-term success in a competitive industry. From an investment perspective, Alamos Gold offers several compelling attributes. The company maintains a conservative balance sheet with relatively low debt levels, providing financial flexibility. Its operational solid performance and the positive outlook for gold prices suggest the potential for further share price appreciation. Additionally, Alamos has demonstrated a commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, aligning with the growing investor focus on sustainable and responsible mining practices. However, potential investors should be aware of the risks associated with gold mining investments, including price volatility, operational challenges, and geopolitical risks in mining jurisdictions. Despite these risks, Alamos Gold's overall outlook remains positive, supported by its strong fundamentals and the favorable macroeconomic environment for gold.In conclusion, Alamos Gold presents an attractive opportunity for investors seeking exposure to the gold sector. With its robust growth profile, cost discipline, and strategic focus on productivity improvements, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on the current bullish trend in the gold market.—View Alamos Gold's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/alamos-gold-incSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Doug Ramshaw, President of Minera Alamos (TSX.V:MAI – OTCQX:MAIFF), joins us for an operations update at the Santa Mine where mining commenced at the Nicho Main Zone in June, and production will be expanding in 2024 in Sonora, Mexico.  We also discuss the further derisking work going on, while awaiting the permits, at the Cerro De Oro gold development project in Zacatecas, Mexico.     At Santana, Mining and stacking operations commenced last month with approximately 900 ounces of newly mined gold stacked on the leach pad (through the end of June) during the initiation of mining operations at the new Nicho Main zone deposit. Access to the Nicho Main gold mineralization in the pit is steadily improving with the opening up and extraction of the first few benches. The Company plans to ultimately have access to two simultaneous working areas that, in addition to providing better traffic flow for the mobile equipment, will allow for more efficient planning for grade control and waste stripping management. Presently, estimates for the next month of mining and stacking operations are 1,300-1,500 ounces of gold placed on the heap leach pad which is approaching the lower end of the initial monthly mining rates included in the Nicho Main zone start-up plans. With mine access improving, plans are to activate two additional trucks in July which expands the mobile fleet size to the anticipated normal levels for the current mine plan.    Doug outlines how there will be a lag effect to the gold production coming off the leach pads, but that Q3 and especially Q4 will see increased production, at low costs and good margins.  He further outlines the 12-month plan to build up more cash on the balance sheet, and then also describes the further upside expansion capabilities beyond this 12-month plan, where there can be further increases in the leach pads and production profile.   The company is still advancing permitting, engineering, metallurgical work, geological, and other geotechnical work to continue to de-risk the Cerro de Oro Gold Project as it moves down the pathway into production as the Company's second operating gold mine. Engineering work continues to progress for Cerro de Oro in order to advance pre-development activities to coincide with the ultimate receipt of permits and a construction decision for the project.  Doug also wraps us up with his impression of the improving political environment after the Mexican presidential elections, and what that will mean for mining projects moving forwards.     Please email us with any follow up questions for Doug regarding Minera Alamos. Getting people to think differently when deciding where to travel next is a specialty of the travel journalist Andrew Nelson, a writer for two decades with National Geographic Travel and a two-time Lowell Thomas prize winner. Andrew joins Bruce on the podcast to discuss places in his new National Geographic book, Here Not There, revealing 100 alternative travel destinations to the ones we've probably all heard about 1,000 times. Andrew tells us about the places that are overlooked and why they're worth visiting, in addition to the obvious benefit of often being less crowded and less expensive. He guides us to the Miami of the North, the Amsterdam of the Midwest, and a place he describes as the most accessible yet mysterious places he's ever visited. He'll even tell us where you can dance until dawn and drink (responsibly) like a fool. Andrew doesn't just list places in this Travel That Matters episode, but tells us about the history, the tours and events you can attend, and the food that's there for you to enjoy. He emphasizes the element of surprise in travel, while adding in bragging rights that come with being among the few who have traveled to some of these alternative destinations. --- You can find out more details about the locations below mentioned in the episode: Zozobra Festival: https://burnzozobra.com/ The Secret Stairs of Los Angeles https://secretstairs-la.com/ San Cassiano, Dolomites https://www.altabadia.org/en/italian-alps-dolomites/villages/san-cassiano.html Kotor, Montenegro https://www.turismomontenegro.es/ciudades-de-montenegro/kotor/ Alamos, Sonora https://www.gob.mx/sectur/articulos/alamos-sonora Bottleworks Hotel: https://www.bottleworkshotel.com/ --- To learn more about Andrew Nelson, check out his website https://andrewtnelson.com/ --- Travel That Matters is a CurtCo Media production.
