Spalding III retired from the U.S. Air Force as a brigadier general after more than 25 years of service including as the China Strategist for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff at the Pentagon, as well as a senior defense official and defense attaché to China.. Spalding is also the CEO of SEMPRE, the only true standalone 5G technology service company and software platform created to protect and secure our most critical resource; the automated world.
This week, I sat down with Brigadier General Robert S. Spalding to discuss China's rise in dominance, his career working on national security and defense, and his perspective on what the United States must do to compete with China today.
General Robert Spalding 2021 Interview: Alex sits down with Brigadier General Robert S. Spalding III, whose impressive resume includes serving as Chief China Strategist for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, senior Defense Official and Defense Attache to China in Bejing, and Senior Director for Strategic Planning at the National Security Council. Moazed and Spalding discuss the current tech landscape between the U.S. and China, taking a look at Elon Musk's relationship with Beijing, the General's role in limiting Huawei's participation in 5G infrastructure roll out, and the Great Firewall being exported outside of China. General Spalding has served in senior positions of strategy and diplomacy within the Defense and State Departments for more than 26 years, retiring as a brigadier general. He was the chief architect for the Trump Administration’s widely praised National Security Strategy (NSS), and the Senior Director for Strategy to the President at the National Security Council. USA to Reject Certain Chinese Maritime Claims in South China Sea... Navy warship challenges China in South China Sea... U.S. warns citizens of heightened detention risks in China... NATIONAL SECURITY EXPERT: Brig. Gen. Robert S. Spalding (USAF Ret.), is a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, focusing on U.S.-China relations, economic and national security, and the Asia-Pacific military balance. He is the author of the book, Stealth War: How China Took Over While America's Elite Slept. The media often suggest that Russia poses the greatest threat to America's national security, but the real danger lies farther east. While those in power have been distracted and disorderly, China has waged a six-front war on America's economy, military, diplomacy, technology, education, and infrastructure--and they're winning. It's almost too late to undo the shocking, though nearly invisible, victories of the Chinese. In Stealth War, retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Spalding reveals China's motives and secret attacks on the West. Chronicling how our leaders have failed to protect us over recent decades, he provides shocking evidence of some of China's most brilliant ploys, including: * Placing Confucius Institutes in universities across the United States that serve to monitor and control Chinese students on campus and spread communist narratives to unsuspecting American students. * Offering enormous sums to American experts who create investment funds that funnel technology to China. * Signing a thirty-year agreement with the US that allows China to share peaceful nuclear technology, ensuring that they have access to American nuclear know-how. Spalding's concern isn't merely that America could lose its position on the world stage. More urgently, the Chinese Communist Party has a fundamental loathing of the legal protections America grants its people and seeks to create a world without those rights. Despite all the damage done so far, Spalding shows how it's still possible for the U.S. and the rest of the free world to combat--and win--China's stealth war.
