(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Myanmar announces elections amid unrelenting persecution General Min Aung Hlaing, head of the military junta ruling Myanmar, has announced that the country will hold general elections either in December 2025 or in January 2026, reports International Christian Concern. The military junta has repeatedly delayed the elections due to unrest in the country. Critics say that a free and fair election is still impossible. The military has spent the last four years eliminating political opposition, jailing proponents of democracy, and waging war against the civilian population. According to Open Doors' World Watch List, Myanmar is the 13th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. RFK, Jr wants to ban artificial dyes in food On Monday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, reportedly told food industry leaders that he wants artificial dyes to be removed from American food products, reports One America News. Schumer flip flops, now supports GOP funding bill On Thursday, Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York flip flopped. After saying he would allow the government shutdown on Wednesday, he announced on the Senate floor late yesterday afternoon that he plans to vote to advance a House-passed six-month government funding bill, despite the strong opposition of many Democrats, reports News Nation. SCHUMER: “I have said many times, there are no winners in a government shutdown, but there are certainly victims. The most vulnerable Americans who rely on federal programs to feed their families, to access medical care, and to stay financially afloat. Communities that depend on government services to function will suffer and suffer greatly. “For sure, the Republican bill is a terrible option. It is deeply partisan. It doesn't address far too many of this country's needs. … “I will vote to keep the government open and not shut it down.” Schumer is only the second Senate Democrat to state definitively his intention to vote to advance the GOP-written bill — joining Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania who warned a shutdown would create chaos and risk a recession. But it's highly likely that Schumer will give political cover to other Democrats to vote to advance the 99-page package. If passed, the bill would increase defense spending by $6 billion, boost funding for border security, and cut nondefense programs by $13 billion, reports TheHill.com. Senate Republicans control 53 seats and would need at least eight Democratic votes to reach the 60-vote threshold needed to overcome a filibuster. Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, a staunch fiscal conservative, says he would vote against the stopgap measure for not doing enough to cut the deficit. Arizona prisoner speeds up lethal injection for his murder A prisoner scheduled to be executed next week in what would be Arizona's first use of the death penalty in over two years passed up a chance to ask for a reprieve from his death sentence, reports The Associated Press. Aaron Brian Gunches, age 53, is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on March 19th for his murder conviction in the 2002 shooting death of Ted Price, his girlfriend's ex-husband, near the Phoenix suburb of Mesa. Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed. For in the image of God He made man.” Comedian Rosie O'Donnell moved to Ireland to escape Trump Rosie O'Donnell, the lesbian actress and comedian, described why President Donald Trump's election to a second term prompted her to move to Ireland, reports ABC News. She shared her life update in a new TikTok video post on Tuesday. O'DONNELL: “Well, hey everybody. It's me, Rosie O'Donnell, star of The Flintstones. It's Tuesday, all day, as my Nana would say, and I'm here in Ireland. Moved here on January 15th. It's been pretty wonderful, I have to say. The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming. “I'm in the process of getting my Irish citizenship, as I have Irish grandparents. Although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that's what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child. I'm happy. Clay is happy. I miss my other kids. It's been heartbreaking to see what's happening politically and hard for me personally as well. “It seems as though the only place you can get the news of what's really happening, in terms of protests, and whatnot is on Tiktok. The mainstream media has been letting us all down there in America where the fourth estate is required in order to maintain a democracy. You know, they haven't been doing their job.” O'Donnell concluded her video by urging fellow liberals to stand up to President Donald Trump and presumably any Senator or Congressman who passes his America First agenda. O'DONNELL: “I encourage everyone to stand up, to use their voice, to protest, to demand that we follow the Constitution in our country, and not a king, not a man, and we don't have cruelty as part of our governing style.” Bus driver buys PJs for crying boy who had none for Pajama Day And finally, a bus driver in Kentucky went above and beyond the call of duty when he saw one of his regular riders in distress, reports Good News Network. A child named Levi was crying when driver Larry Farrish Jr. arrived at his stop. The 35-year-old bus driver said, “Normally when I pull up, he's standing there waiting for me with a big smile, but on this day, he was sitting on the ground with a jacket over his head,” according to TODAY.com. When he asked what was wrong, he discovered that Levi had no pajamas to participate in Pajama Day at Engelhard Elementary School. Farrish went to a nearby Family Dollar and picked up two pairs of pajamas and surprised Levi in class. President Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron met at the White House today about ending Russia's war in Ukraine. The meeting came on the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. The G7 nations held a virtual summit today to discuss ways to end the war….At the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to President Trump for continued U.S. support. That plea came after the US joined Russia, North Korea, Belarus, and 14 other countries in voting against a UN resolution that condemned the Russian invasion and called for its occupied territory to be returned to Ukraine. In Congress, House leaders are hoping to move fast this week on their blueprint to pass President Trump's agenda to cut taxes, reduce wasteful spending and secure the U.S. border. And reaction and response continues to Elon Musk's email to federal workers asking to QUOTE understand what they got done last week” or face possible termination. CNN reports that managers at the Pentagon, FBI, State, Homeland Security, and Energy Departments all instructed their staff not to reply, while other managers, including at the Department of Health and Human Services, told workers to comply only to later reverse course. Still, others simply told their staff to wait until Monday — and not to reply to the note before then. The email also prompted the group of federal employee unions to expand their lawsuit against Musk's efforts, saying the email didn't comply with federal regulations. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Chinese pastor sentenced to 2 years for distributing Christian materials The drawn-out saga between the Chinese People's Court of Shunde District in Guandong and the Shengjia House Church seems to be ending, reports International Christian Concern. On January 17, the People's Court sentenced Preacher Deng Yanxiang to two years in prison. He is scheduled to be released in May because he has already served more than 18 months.  He joins four other members of his house church who have been imprisoned for alleged illegal business operations, a charge frequently used against unregistered Chinese house churches by the Communists. The charges were tied to the church's publications, including “Daily Bible Readings and Interpretations,” which were sold and distributed to local believers.  In Luke 6:27-28, Jesus said, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. faced contentious committee over HHS nomination President Donald Trump's cabinet nominees continue to be scrutinized by the U.S. Senate.  On Wednesday, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a former Democrat, was vilified by the Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee about his interest in becoming President Trump's Secretary of Health and Human Services. Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin was highly annoyed with his Democratic colleagues. JOHNSON: “Thank you for your decades-long advocacy for a clean environment, for children's health. I can't say as I'm surprised by the hostility on the other side. I'm highly disappointed in it. I don't know if you remember when you called me up and you were contemplating setting your political differences aside, joining forces with President Trump on an area of agreement, [and] addressing chronic illness. “My first response was, ‘Bobby, this is an answer my prayers.' We need to heal and unify this divided nation. I thought, ‘Wow! Here's somebody from the Left, somebody I don't agree with on many issues politically, coming together with President Trump and focusing on an area of agreement, something that the American people desperately want.' What has caused autism? What is causing chronic illness? “I think I know the personal and political price you've paid for this decision. I want to say publicly, I thank you for that. I truly appreciate what you're doing here.” (applause) Kennedy agreed, saying that he wanted to solve chronic disease problems for all Americans. KENNEDY: “When I launched my campaign, it was about uniting Americans -- Democrats and Republicans. There's no issue that should unite us more than this chronic health epidemic. There's no such thing as Republican children or Democratic children. These are our kids. Sixty-six percent of them are damaged. "I didn't know anybody with a food allergy growing up. Why do five of my kids have allergies? Why are we seeing these explosions in diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological diseases, depression? All these things that are related to toxics in the environment. Why can't we just agree with each other to put differences about so many issues, intractable issues, aside as and say we're going to end this?” Kennedy explained why he is uniquely qualified to be the next Secretary of Health and Human Services. KENNEDY: “I don't think anybody is going to be able to do this like I have, because of my peculiar experience, because I've litigated against these agencies. When you litigate against them, you get a PhD in corporate capture and how to unravel it. I've written six books about these agencies. I know a lot about them, and I know how to fix it. “There's nobody who will fix it the way that I do because I'm not scared of vested interest. I don't care. I'm not here because I want a position or a job. I have a very good life and a happy family. This is something I don't need.” And Kennedy explained why he has endured such hostility from the Democrats who once were his greatest friends. KENNEDY: “All these Democrats are opposed to me for partisan issues. They used to be my friends, agreed with me on all the environmental issues I've been working on for my whole career. Now they're against me because anything that President Trump does, any decision he makes, has to be lampooned, derided, discredited, marginalized, vilified.” Robert F. Kennedy, Jr committed to Trump's pro-life policies On abortion, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, whom President Trump nominated to lead Health and Human Services, said he agreed with Trump that “every abortion is a tragedy,” adding that “we cannot be a moral nation if we have 1.2 million abortions a year,” reports The Christian Post. Kennedy also said the president told him that he wants to work to oppose late-term abortions, support conscience protections for those opposed to abortion, and end federal funding of abortions. Kennedy noted, “I'm going to support President Trump's policies on Title X. I serve at the pleasure of the president. I'm going to implement his policies.” Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania thought Wednesday's Senate Finance Committee hearing with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr was contentious and doubted whether Kennedy would even make it out of the 25-member committee, much less get 51 votes in the U.S. Senate, reports TheHill.com. Elon Musk: We need shorter bills that people can understand Tech mogul and presidential adviser Elon Musk had a brainstorm. MUSK: “Any laws need to be short enough that everyone can read them.” Imagine that. If this idea became a reality, it would make it more difficult to hide controversial goals within bills, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Trump is bewildered and angry about the helicopter/plane crash And finally, President Donald Trump reacted to the Wednesday night crash of the American Airlines Eagle plane with the Army Blackhawk helicopter over the Potomac River by Reagan Airport in Washington, D.C. On TruthSocial, he wrote, “The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT. The lights on the plane were blazing. Why didn't the helicopter go up or down or turn? Why didn't the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane? This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!” WTOP reports that there were no survivors and the rescue mission turned to a recovery operation as of 8:00am Thursday morning. At that time, 28 bodies had been recovered. It is the deadliest U.S. air crash in nearly 24 years. In June of 2024, I got an op-ed published in TheHill.com about Elon Musk's polarization -- specifically his affective polarization, which refers to how people perceive and treat their political opponents. Like many in our highly polarized, righteously angry society across the polical spectrum, Elon Musk treats the "other side" with much contempt and disdain. You can often find him insulting and demeaning people on his social media platform, as well as claiming to know with high certainty the hidden, malicious motives in his opponents' minds. In this episode, I read my op-ed and add some additional observations. Twitter under Elon Musk has become more moderate but critics argue it now contains more hateful speech and amplifies content of Musk and his allies. Twitter's shadowbanning, which restricts users' visibility without notification, was proven problematic in the past, but its current status remains unclear. Twitter's algorithm deliberately shares triggering content to boost ad revenue, though it's uncertain if this practice continues under Musk's leadership. Twitter's safety policies are criticized as inconsistent and overly broad, leading to censorship of mild opinions and user abuse, despite improved transparency under Musk.

It's Friday, March 1st, A.D. 2024.  This is The Worldview heard at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus.  (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Afghan refugees find Christ amidst uncertainty In the aftermath of the Islamic Taliban's resurgence in Afghanistan, Afghan Christians seeking refuge in neighboring Pakistan have few choices, reports International Christian Concern. Many Afghans fled to Pakistan without visas, passports, or other identification. Sardar and his Christian family initially had difficulty getting into Pakistan after the Taliban takeover. He was abducted by the Taliban en route to the border and held until his family could pay a ransom. They managed to scrape the money together, devastating them financially. Once in Pakistan, Sardar and his family were not well received. Like the thousands of other Afghan refugees, they faced hunger and poor living conditions. With no means of work, they were at the mercy of Pakistan's refugee system. More than two years later, International Christian Concern has been caring for more 30 Christian families that fled Afghanistan for Pakistan. Plus, they've also been sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Islamic Afghan refugees in Pakistan who are spiritually open. One Christian leader said, “I started talking about the generosity of God and His sacrifice for all of humanity. These families were surprised that even God sacrificed His son for us. … I taught them about the unconditional love of Lord Jesus. They were all fascinated by this idea and His story.” In Romans 10:14-15, the Apostle Paul asked, “How, then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News!'” Within the last year, this Christian leader has baptized 22 Afghan refugees who recently professed faith in Christ. Christian school counselor, opposed to perversion, gets right to appeal A British school employee, fired for social media posts opposing homosexual and transgender materials in class, has won the right to take her dismissal to the United Kingdom Court of Appeal, reports Christian Daily International. Kristie Higgs, a 47-year-old Christian mother of two, won the right in a ruling late last month by Judge Elisabeth Laing of the Court of Appeal of England and Wales. Higgs' attorneys had argued that her case should not be sent back to the same employment tribunal that had made serious errors. Higgs worked for seven years as a student counseling assistant at Farmor's School in Fairford, Gloucestershire, before her dismissal in 2019. In a video interview with the Christian Legal Centre, which is supporting her defense, she said, “It's shocking to think I've lost my job because of one parent who complained to the school because they didn't agree with what I shared on my Facebook page, and for the school to take sides with that parent is hard to believe.” HIGGS: “I was discriminated for my Christian beliefs. I was just sharing my concerns of what's coming into the schools and what was coming into my son's school.” Higgs shared and posted the disputed messages on her personal Facebook page after receiving an invitation on October 5, 2018, from the Church of England primary school that her younger son attended.  Entitled “Teaching the Equality Act in Schools,” the invitation read, “This year, we are using several story books to help our school community promote diversity and celebrate difference.” The letter invited parents to see the books and lesson plans at a school event. Higgs said only she, another parent, and a grandparent attended the viewing.   She saw books such as Jacob's New Dress by Sarah Hoffman, about a boy who likes to wear dresses. She said, “To me, it didn't seem to be that it was just about anti-bullying. There seemed to be something more underlying, with the Jacob's New Dress, how children could choose their own gender. I thought it was very confusing for my child because of our Christian beliefs.” That's why Higgs uploaded the Citizens Go petition link on October 24, 2018, which was headlined, “Uphold the right of parents to have children educated in line with their religious beliefs. Stop supporting LGBT indoctrination.” The petition was directed to then-U.K. Education Secretary Damian Hinds. In Psalm 56:3-4, David wrote, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, Whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” HIGGS: “As parents, who are also standing up, especially [in] America, they're reading what's actually in the books. It's very concerning, very alarming, very harmful and it's got to stop!” When she was sent home, she said her school superiors “thought the posts I was sharing were homophobic and very negative, [saying], ‘Did you realize other parents would see these?'” First, she was suspended, then she endured a disciplinary hearing for six hours on December 19, 2018, and finally fired by letter on January 7, 2019, without warning, for “gross misconduct.” Kristie Higgs explained that not too long ago the Church of England school taught “my child God's way, and now they are changing it.” Democrats upset with Biden to vote “uncommitted” in primaries Organizers are pushing for Democratic voters to select or write in “uncommitted” on their ballots in upcoming primaries, spurred on by the success of a campaign in Michigan protesting President Biden's handling of the Israel-Hamas war, reports TheHill.com. More than 100,000 Michiganders cast a protest vote against Biden for an “uncommitted” ballot option in Tuesday's primary, underscoring the frustration many Americans feel toward the administration amid growing calls for a cease-fire. Now, activists are pushing for similar protest votes in states including Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Washington as they seek to dial up pressure on Biden to heed their calls or risk losing their votes. Wildfire in Texas Panhandle largest in state history On Thursday, a dusting of snow covered a desolate landscape of scorched prairie, dead cattle, and burned out homes in the Texas Panhandle, giving firefighters  brief relief in their desperate efforts to corral a blaze that has grown into the largest in state history, reports the Associated Press. The Smokehouse Creek fire grew to nearly 1,700 square miles. It merged with another fire and is just 3% contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service. Gray skies loomed over huge scars of blackened earth in a rural area dotted with scrub brush, ranchland, rocky canyons, and oil rigs. In Stinnett, a town of about 1,600, Dylan Phillips, age 24, said he hardly recognized his neighborhood, which was littered with melted street signs and the charred frames of cars and trucks.  While his family's home survived, at least a half a dozen others were smoking rubble. Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has issued a disaster declaration for 60 counties and plans to visit the Panhandle today. Pastor Keshab had received a call to pray for someone's sick wife in March  2020.  He was also charged with distributing religious leaflets, reports Alliance Defending Freedom International. 72% of Evangelicals came to faith before 18 A new Infinity Concepts study has confirmed that the single greatest influence in Evangelical Protestants becoming Christians is their parents. The generational factor is the most powerful and significant in the development of the Christian church. They report: 72% of adult Evangelical Christians came to their beliefs before they reached the age of 18. 51% confirm that their parents were the most important or significant influence in their becoming a Christian. 15% credit a spouse or a sibling as the most important influence in them coming to faith.   3% credit a Sunday School teacher, a Vacation Bible School instructor, or some other ministry in the church. And 4% would credit a Christian concert or a crusade.   Church attendance and reading the Bible were the second and third most important factors. Only 4% became Christians in the last four years. Finally, the average adult Evangelical's conversion happened nearly 37 years ago.  Jury awards woman $83 million against Trump A woman has successfully sued Donald Trump for sexual abuse and defamation of character. E. Jean Carroll initially won $5 million in damages in a jury trial in 2022 based on her accusation that Trump had engaged in unwanted sexual sin with her some thirty years earlier. Last Friday, a Manhattan jury awarded the author an additional $83.3 million for defamation, reports CBS News. Can a man take fire to his bosom and his clothes not be burned?”  (Proverbs 6:26-27) “Operation Lone Star” detained 496,000 illegals since 2021 The southern border of the United States presents something of a crisis, and the Governor of Texas is responding. Republican Governor Greg Abbott's “Operation Lone Star” has installed 30 miles of razor wire barriers near the city of Eagle Pass. The Governor of Texas also continues to bus migrants to cities and states controlled by the Democrat Party. Since its implementation in March 2021, “Operation Lone Star” has detained 496,000 illegal immigrants.  Of them, 38,500 face criminal charges. The cost to Texas taxpayers is already a whopping $10 billion. Despite a Supreme Court order last week allowing federal law enforcement to tear down state-erected barriers, Texas Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Monday the state will continue to build razor wire and other fencing on the U.S.-Mexico border, reports TheHill.com. Biden vs. Trump at the border U.S. Customs and Border Protection released its 2023 numbers for southwest detentions as 2,476,000, with December topping all records at 270,000.   That compares to 415,000 detentions in 2017, during the first year of the Trump administration. Legal immigration in the U.S. has run between 500,000 and 1,000,000 per year since the 1990s. U.S. stock markets continue to surge The S&P stock market index reached record highs again on Monday. The Wilshire 5000 to Gross Domestic Product index hit 173%, about three times the historical average. That means that stocks are overpriced by about 300%. The S&P Price to Earnings ratio is running about 26, as compared to an historical average of about 15.  The U.S. Debt to Gross Domestic Product ratio is on the rise again, scraping 129%. The United States is the 11th worst nation in the world on this metric, just behind Venezuela, Eritrea, Greece, Sudan, Lebanon, and Bhutan. Virginia Court: Realtor can mention Jesus/Bible verse in email A Virginia Court struck down a regulation established by the State Real Estate Board, disallowing a realtor from mentioning Jesus or including a Bible Verse in her e-mail communications, reports WorldNetDaily.com. At issue was realtor Hadassah Carter's inclusion of the byline “Jesus Loves You” and John 3:16 in her e-mail signature line.  The ruling stated that the regulation was “an unconstitutional abridgement of the rights to speech and expression established by the First Amendment.” Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.” Closer look at God's glorious handiwork The James Webb Space Telescope has provided much clearer pictures of 19 spiral galaxies, representing billions of stars, fairly close to our Milky Way Galaxy. The Rapid Support Forces, which has been fighting the Sudan Armed Forces since April 15, shot dead Hidar Al Amin at his home across the Nile from Khartoum. The Muslim militants insulted Al Amin, a member of the Sudanese Presbyterian Evangelical Church in his 30s, for being a Christian. They looted his property and left him in a pool of blood. Psalm 7:9 says, “Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just.” 50 young Canadians join March for Life in D.C. At least 50 Canadian young adults marched in the streets of Washington DC at the March for Life to call for an end to abortion, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Campaign Life Coalition helped sponsor a bus of pro-life young people to bring American strategies and motivation back to Canada. With the fall of Roe v Wade in 2022, U.S. states are now able to legislate abortion as they see fit.  Maeve Roche, the Canadian pro-life Youth Coordinator, said the key term used at this year's gathering was “the end of the beginning.”  Roche led the group on a 12-hour journey from Mississauga, Ontario, to give the young Canadians the experience of being part of a massive gathering of likeminded people.  She said, “The U.S. March in DC is the largest annual human rights demonstration in the world, so I think bringing our youth is truly a transformative experience. They get to be surrounded by tens of thousands of American pro-lifers. There's something really unique and reinvigorating about being involved in such a huge demonstration for the rights of the preborn.” Trump promises largest domestic deportation in U.S. history Appearing before a massive crowd in Las Vegas on Saturday, former president Donald Trump promised, if elected, he would implement the largest domestic deportation operation in American history, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes. Listen. TRUMP: “Within moments of my inauguration, we will begin the largest domestic deportation operation in America. (cheers) That's right. We have no choice because this is not sustainable. It's no wonder Joe Biden and his thugs are so desperate to stop us. They know that we are the only ones who can stop them. They know that.” Trump called on all states to send National Guard troops to the border to assist Texas in stopping the invasion of the country. Trump leads Haley before South Carolina primary Ahead of the February 24th GOP presidential primary in South Carolina, TheHill.com revealed a recent poll which shows Donald Trump has the backing of 67% of South Carolinian Republicans and Nikki Haley, who was once Governor there, only excites 27% of them. Plus, five of the six members of the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as both Republican Senators – Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham, have endorsed Trump. In addition, South Carolina's Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, House Speaker, and State Treasurer have all endorsed Trump over Haley. That's why it comes as no surprise that Mick Mulvaney, Trump's former White House Chief of Staff, contended on Sky News Australia that Haley will drop out of the presidential race before the South Carolina primary. Listen. MULVANEY: “If she loses her home state by 35 points, the money is going to stop. And in our system, money is the lifeblood of politics. So, she has a real serious problem. In the folks I talk to in South Carolina, we fully expect her to drop out before the South Carolina primary. “Why? If she loses South Carolina by a huge margin, it actually hamstrings her going into 2028. It would do nothing but invigorate folks like Ron DeSantis, or other potential 2028 challengers, if Nikki Haley can't even win her home state or gets crushed in her home state. So, there's a lot more downside perhaps. “Right now the conventional wisdom, amongst those in the admittedly political class, is that she does not have a chance in her home state and, for that reason, she will be getting out before the end of February.” Ohio may require age verification to access pornography Ohio GOP State Senator Stephanie Kunze is hoping to add The Buckeye State to a growing list of states requiring age verification to access pornography, reports FaithWire.com. The proposal — Senate Bill 212 — would require visitors to pornography sites to confirm they are of legal age by mandating an identification check through an independent, third-party verification application. Job 31:1 says, “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.” Son of Pawn Stars creator died of fentanyl overdose Adam Harrison, the son of “Pawn Stars” creator and star Rick Harrison, died at 39 due to a fentanyl overdose, reports KKTV.com. Rick Harrison wrote, “You will always be in my heart. I love you Adam.” Adam Harrison was the second child of Rick Harrison and his ex-wife. He was the younger brother of Corey Harrison, who stars in “Pawn Stars” with his father. The Roe of Roe v. Wade asked Supreme Court to reverse Roe And finally, on June 22, 1996, Norma McCorvey, the Roe of Roe v. Wade, asked the US Supreme Court to reverse its Roe v. Wade decision in light of the fact the case was based on fraudulent evidence. McCorvey was the original plaintiff, “Jane Doe.” The court declined at the time. But it finally did reverse the ruling in June 2022. Remarkably, she never did get an abortion.  She delivered her third child, Shelly Lynn McCorvey, on June 2, 1970. In 1994, McCorvey published her autobiography, I Am Roe. At a book signing, McCorvey was befriended by Flip Benham, an Evangelical minister and the national director of the anti-abortion organization Operation Rescue. McCorvey trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized on August 8, 1995, by Flip Benham, in a Dallas, Texas, backyard swimming pool—an event that was filmed for national television. He shared her testimony on Washington Watch. Two days later, she announced that she had quit her job at an abortion mill and had become an advocate of Operation Rescue's campaign to make abortion illegal. McCORVEY: “Upon knowing God, I realized that my case, which legalized abortion on demand, was the biggest mistake of my life.” She voiced remorse for her part in the Supreme Court decision and said she had been a pawn for abortion activists. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Why Nigeria tops list of 2023 Worst Persecutors Appearing on Washington Watch, the Family Research Council radio show, Jeff King, president of International Christian Concern, explained that Nigeria, Africa now tops the list of the 2023 Worst Persecutors of countries worldwide, edging out North Korea. KING: “Well, North Korea can always be number one or two on the list. We wanted to move Nigeria to the top. “If you look at the last 20 years, imagine up to 100,000 Christians killed, 3.5 million farmers pushed off their lands their land stolen. And this is all from radical Islamists. The mindbender in all this is that, year after year, they come to Washington and they say, ‘Oh, my gosh, this is such a hard problem to tackle. We're doing our best. Maybe if you sent more money or arms, we could do a better job.' “To scale these numbers up to the United States, imagine if in the last 20 years, 400,000 Christians had been murdered, and 18 million people kicked out of their homes and the government never does anything. The reason is because the Islamists are embedded in the government and they control the security organs of the state -- that's Intel, that's police, army, etc. So, Washington, I think, is slowly waking up to this and saying this is actually a religious conflict. An Israeli flag was set on fire and fake blood was thrown on the front doors of The New York Times. The Netherlands: Abortions up almost 15% in 2022 According to the Dutch Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate, the number of abortions in the Netherlands increased by almost 15% last year, reports Evangelical Focus. The rise in mothers between 25 and 35 years of age who kill their unborn babies was up by 23%. And 13% more teenage mothers chose to abort their children. Proverbs 24:11 says, “Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.” DeSantis remains number one challenger to Trump According to a RealClearPolitics.com average of polls of Republican presidential contenders between October 17th and November 5th, Donald Trump polled at 58.5% among likely GOP voters.  Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came in at 14.4%, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley at 9%, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy at 4.7%. Last Wednesday in Miami, NBC hosted the third Republican presidential debate which Trump chose not to attend.  DeSantis, who has been endorsed by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, spoke decisively on key issues like Bidenomics. DeSANTIS: “I'm going to take all the executive orders, the regulations, everything involving Bidenomics, and I'm going to rip it up and I'm going to throw it in the trashcan on Day One where it belongs.” The Florida governor spoke to our southern border. DeSANTIS: “I'm sending the U.S. military to the border. I'm going to stop the invasion cold. If someone in the drug cartels is sneaking fentanyl across the border when I'm president, that's going to be the last thing they do. We're going to shoot them stone cold dead.” DeSantis addressed Hamas-supporting students here in America on a student visa. DeSANTIS: “If you are here on a student visa, as a foreign national, and you're making common cause with Hamas, I'm canceling your visa and I'm sending you home.” And he appealed directly to the voter. DeSANTIS: “I will take the arrows. I will take the barbs because it's not about me. It's about you. It's not about the past. It's about your future. I will always put service above self as President. And, as your president, I will not let you down.” Sen. Joe Manchin not to seek re-election, possible presidential run Democrat Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, age 76, announced Thursday that he will not seek re-election to the Senate in 2024, reports TheHill.com. MANCHIN: “After months of deliberation and long conversation with my family, I believe in my heart of hearts that I have accomplished what I set out to do for West Virginia. I have made one of the toughest decisions of my life and decided that I will not be running for re-election to the United States Senate.” He was staring down the toughest electoral challenge of his Senatorial career, as West Virginia Republican Governor Jim Justice has increasingly become the favorite to win next year. However, Manchin has long flirted with a 2024 presidential bid with an upstart centrist party, called No Labels, that has shown interest in fielding a bipartisan presidential ticket. Today marks the eighth-year anniversary of the airing of The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus.(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Woke companies that target Christians and conservatives Fox News has put together a list of woke companies that go after conservatives and Christians in the U.S. Bank of America tops the list of banks, as well as U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, and First Republic.    Under the transportation category, the woke-est companies include Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines.   In the retail category, the worst culprits now include Best Buy, Home Depot, Kohl's, Macy's, Madewell, Target, and Walmart. The woke-est online retailers include Amazon, Chewy, eBay, Etsy, and Shopify. The food and beverage “wokies” include Ben & Jerry's, Coca-Cola, Kellogg's, McDonald's, PepsiCo, Starbucks, and the J.M. Smucker Company.    The study is based on the 1792 Exchange review of 1,000 companies on “the likelihood a company will cancel a contract or client, or boycott, divest, or deny services based on views or beliefs." Disturbingly, Home Depot "advertised flyers to its employees about confronting their ‘white privilege, Christian privilege, heterosexual privilege, able-bodied privilege,' etc."  Fake Medical Sharing group was a scam What was purported to be the Medical Cost Sharing Ministry has been closed down by the FBI. It targeted “like-minded Christians,” but according to government estimates, collected $7.5 million over eight years, but only dispersed $246,000 in covering health care bills, reports the Kansas City Star. Founders James L. McGinnis and Craig A. Reynolds were previous insurance salesmen who allegedly used the scam for their own enrichment.  Legitimate Christian medical sharing ministries include Samaritan Ministries that services 283,000 families, and commits “to retaining no more than 20% of member shares for administrative purposes.” Plus, Christian Healthcare Ministries claims 425,000 members and Medi-Share has 400,000 members sharing $6 billion per year in medical needs.  Church of England approves blessing homosexual relationships Earlier this month, the Church of England General Synod voted to approve blessing homosexual relationships by a vote of 250 to 181.  However, the group is hardly relevant anymore. The breakaway Global Anglican Future Conference now represents 35,000,000 active Anglicans, according to World Magazine. And weekly church attendance for the England communion is only 605,000 persons on a Sunday. That's only 0.9% of the population of the nation, down from 5% in 1960, and down from 40% in 1900.  Winter weather hit Southern California Southern California was slammed with heavy winter weather over the weekend, with a four-day total of 56 inches on Donner Summit in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
