We took a field trip to Auto Meter to discuss the operation they've got when it comes to making some of the nation's best performance gauges! Paul Wilson and Chris Ehmke sat down with Marc Erikson and Mike Lovro to discuss why their gauges are some of the best, how the company has continued to evolve since its inception in 1957, and what the future holds for the company. Not only that but they discuss the other amazing facets of the company like its battery testers and more! We'd like to thank Mike and Marc for taking time out of their busy schedule to sit down and talk with us. In addition, we'd like to thank Dean Panettieri (COO of Auto Meter) for his in-depth and knowledgeable tour of the facility. And we'd like to thank Sara White for helping to make this all possible. Thank you!

This episode features a dog training conversation with my shadow student Sara White. I first met Sara during a dog training workshop we attended together. Later, she contacted me about my shadow program, and here we are. Sara opted for an extended shadow experience and, as a result, got to see and discuss a lot! We also worked with her own two dogs and attended another workshop in the middle of it. In this podcast, we discuss the importance of understanding the seeking system. The conversation also touches on workshops—we attended one together—and learning principles. Of course, we discussed Sara's dogs, Exodus and Harley, and socialization and obedience training. The conversation went far and wide. Enjoy! Visit the Podcast Episode Page for additional content and a list of episode references. Sara White and Rylie Johnson After the success of Only Murders in the Building—about murder podcast fans whose fascination with the category turns their lives upside down—it feels like an actual podcast that critically examines our true crime obsession is way overdue. With philosophy, history, and psychology backgrounds, Rylie and Sara will examine issues like why certain victims' stories get privileged over others and why violence and scandal excite the human brain so much. I want to thank Sara White's cousin, Barb, for connecting me with Sara! After we had scheduled this interview, but before the day we recorded, I realized that Sara is one of the wonderful quilters that makes quilts for Soothing Stitches because I saw her in a post on Facebook. Soothing Stitches is a great organization in our community that makes special quilts for very sick children. It's an amazing organization. I loved this quote from Sara, “Quilting people are some of the best people there is.” Now isn't that the truth?! Here's an article that was written about Soothing Stitches: http://southeastohiomagazine.com/2018/12/05/soothing-stitches-offers-comfort-through-quilts/ (Soothing Stitches Offers Comfort Through Quilts)
