Diabetics are stuck in an abusive relationship with pharmaceutical corporations: if we try to fight to make insulin more affordable, they can simply stop distributing it, leaving us without the very thing we need to survive. We look back at the last decade of insulin access advocacy to see how advocates walk the line between progress and ruin. The use of the diabetes drug Ozempic weight-loss has proven to be quite controversial. Olivia Chumsky argues that its sole purpose should be for treating diabetes and that restricting Ozempic to diabetic patients is important for both health and ethical reasons.
A1C is an important indicator of your blood glucose levels that is a more accurate picture of your blood sugar than just the glucose test itself. And Dr. Prather shares how you can improve those numbers naturally and without prescription drugs through Structure-Function Care. In this episode, we talk about:—What numbers you want to see in your A1C levels. And which ranges indicate pre-diabetes or diabetes. —How the body is affected by higher A1C levels, including: nerve damage, neuropathy, blindness, cardiovascular disease, and kidney failure.—Why Dr. Prather says his office is even able to cut the insulin required for Type 1 Diabetics by as much as 50%, which slows down the aging process and nerve damage for those patients. And why Dr. Prather says it is "almost guaranteed" that you can be cured of Type 2 Diabetes if you do everything that you are supposed to do.—The reason why children are now developing Type 2 Diabetes, when that used to never happen. And how 60% of what most people eat includes chemicals that our bodies have never experienced before.—Why your chances of becoming a Type 2 Diabetic increase by over 100% if you are Estrogen-dominant. —How 80% of everyone on Thyroid medications eventually develops Depression. And how Dr. Prather's office "actually goes much, much further" than the Endocrinologists in testing the Thyroid and by rebuilding the Thyroid to reduce the need for Thyroid medications. —The effectiveness of Chiropractic to release the nerve interference, which has a huge effect on every aspect of the body. And why the combination of both Structural Care and Functional Care is key to getting the best patient results compared to either one those approaches alone.—Which minerals, herbals, and vitamins are most helpful for getting your blood sugar levels correctly balanced in a non-pharmaceutical way. And the diagnostics Dr. Prather utilizes to determine exactly what you need and which supplements will work best for your body. —How Acupuncture will cause Cortisol levels to drop and Oxytocin levels to increase, which helps to balance out your body's Endocrine System and Nervous System.—Plus, you'll hear how Vicky, who works in the pharmaceutical industry overseeing research trials, had a dramatic reduction in her dangerous A1C levels after just two months as a patient at Holistic Integration.http://www.TheVoiceOfHealthRadio.com
