Scott Sauls is a a follower of Christ, a grateful husband, and a proud dad and father-in-law. For decades, he's served others as a pastor, author, speaker, board chair, master's-level instructor, backstage chaplain, and trusted confidant to leaders. He also led the founding of a faith-and-work institute that equips professionals to think clearly, live with integrity, and contribute meaningfully. For nearly 30 years, Scott has planted churches and led large, flagship congregations. Today, his work remains pastoral—but focuses on serving the broader church and investing deeply in high-achieving leaders, cultural influencers, and pastors.Scott's core strengths include teaching, writing, helping leaders navigate their unique challenges and aspirations, and advocating for the vulnerable. But his greatest asset may be his own journey as a recovering overachiever—one whose highest highs and lowest lows were fueled by striving, performing, and never feeling like enough. The lessons forged through both success and struggle now shape his work with leaders who value faith, connection, integrity, and meaningful work on their way to a healthier, deeper kind of success.Welcome to the Pinkleton Pull-Aside Podcast. The Pinkleton Pull-Aside Podcast

John James knows the heights of success and thedepths of brokenness. Once performing to crowds of hundreds of thousands and living the dream others envied, John's world fell apart behind the curtain. Addiction, pride, and spiritual emptiness brought him to his knees. But in that place of failure, he discovered the greatest truth: that God doesn't cancel the fallen He restores the repentant. Before walking away from the spotlight, John was the original lead singer and co-founder of one of the most recognized Christian bands of the 1990s. His story of rising to fame, losing everything, and finding Christ again-not on stage, but at rock bottom-has now become a powerful message of hope. Today, John travels across America as a missionary to this nation, sharing his testimony and preaching in churches, conferences, youth events, schools, recovery centers, military bases and prisons. With raw honesty and biblical clarity, he calls this generation to turn from performance-driven faith and encounter the living Christ. John now ministers alongside his wife, Tanya, a gifted worship leader and speaker, as they share the healing truth that no one is too far gone for a second chance.Welcome to the Pinkleton Pull-Aside Podcast. She grew up listening to the clamorous keys of her father's typewriter. Writing, humor, puns, rhymes, and communication were just a regular part of her life.Having loved and studied literature and writing in high school and college—once Amy was introduced to Jesus—the Bible became her favorite text to explore. She joined staff with Cru at BGSU after graduating college and began teaching and speaking about God's word regularly.  Through many face plants and mud slides in Amy's life, God opened doors to begin to write books and to travel and speak, inviting others to discover grace in their daily lives. She is attending Denver Seminary pursuing a Masters In Biblical and Theological Studies. Amy is also one of the pastors at Soma City Church in Toledo, OH. Her family has walked through infertility, depression, anxiety, a Crohn's disease diagnosis, an ADHD diagnosis, and several other valleys and mountain tops. As they keep walking whatever path God has them on next, her hope is to use humor and storytelling to anchor them in the truth that God is with us, for us, in us, and working through us.

With a #1 Christian Radio hit under their belt (Somebody Like Me), and two viral videos that lit up Facebook, this high-energy duo is keeping their foot on the gas with their newest single, Finished — an upbeat, anthemic reminder that no matter what life looks like, God isn't done yet.The duo came to music through totally different paths. Caleb, a pastor's kid and classically trained musician, grew up on Christian radio. John, one of six kids and the only boy, taught himself guitar and piano through YouTube videos and leaned toward a gritty, rootsy sound. While touring and playing for artists like Sam Hunt, CAIN, Katy Nichole, and Anne Wilson, the two were introduced by a mutual friend. What started as a casual jam session quickly turned into something deeper — a creative connection that brought out the best in both of them.Their blend of Caleb's pop sensibilities and John's raw edge has given them a signature sound: joyful, bold, and soaked in truth. Hallelujah Feeling, their debut single, hit #3 on the charts and introduced fans to their vibrant style. But it was Somebody Like Me — a heartfelt anthem featuring CAIN — that struck a deeper chord, landing them their first #1 on Christian radio and opening doors to a rapidly growing fanbase. Now with Finished, Caleb & John are doubling down on their mission to spread hope. It's a song for anyone who's felt like giving up — a declaration that even when we feel broken, God is still writing our story. Two different backgrounds. One unified message. Caleb & John are just getting started — and the joy is contagious.

From an early age, Aaron has felt most at home in front of a piano. Just as innate to Aaron is his love of God's Word—of wrestling with the Scriptures, with the hard and beautiful things they say, and the way they foretell and fulfill a picture of a suffering servant, King Jesus. You'll hear these twin loves in Shust's music, from his debut success with “My Savior My God,” winning the 2007 New Artist, Songwriter and Song of the Year. Later, as he grappled with a surprise Down Syndrome diagnosis for one son and waged a war with chronic illness for two, he continued to declare “My Hope is in You,” a song which spent 14 weeks at #1, and “Ever Be,” which debuted at #3 on the NCA chart. Over the past several years, Aaron has delved deeply into friendship with Messianic Jews, both in Nashville and Israel, as well as into the Hebrew Scriptures and Jewish tradition that they yield. Shust, a native of Pittsburgh, makes his home in Nashville with his wife Sarah and their sons Daniel, Nick, and Michael, as well as a growing menagerie of pets.

Medical professionals who happened to be at that exact place at that exact time found Landen lifeless—no breathing and no pulse. However Landen's mother, Kari Hoffmann, immediately began praying and pleading for everyone in the mall to pray for her son. What happened next was a series of breathtaking, science-defying miracles. Not only was Landen's broken body revived back to life, but over the course of the next several months—as people all over the world prayed and fought in faith for this little boy—Landen made a full recovery. After all of the worldwide media coverage, most people know at least part of this story. But what you probably don't know is that God's fingerprints are all over this story in many other amazing ways.

In this week's episode I am joined by my friend Perry Lambert. Perry is a lifelong leopard cur/hound hunter. We talk about the name, the breed and the transition to UKC's 7th coonhound breed. Perry was heavily involed with that transition and was the president of the breed association when that happened. Perry is a wealth of knowledge and this only covers a fraction of what he has experienced and knows about the breed.  Sponsors: https://conkeysoutdoors.com  Promo Code TREETALKINTIME5 https://shopeliteglobal.com/ Promo Code Tree10 https://www.facebook.com/p/Animal-Housing-Solutions-Inc  https://fullcrymag.com https://www.southernhoundhunting.com  Merch: https://treetalkin.com/collections  Social Media: https://www.youtube.com/@TreeTalkinMedia  https://www.patreon.com/treetalkintime https://www.instagram.com/treetalkinmedia https://www.facebook.com/treetalkinmedia

I've had a successful career, married the love of my life and was blessed to be the mother to two beautiful children. But I've also known incredible loss. It was 2:30 in the morning on September 10th, 2016. I awoke to the doorbell ringing and the news that my 20-year-old son, Austin, had taken his life. It was the moment that changed everything.Because of the unique circumstances surrounding our story, it would eventually capture the attention of national news. The response we received made me realize that our story is meant to be told. It has the power to save young lives and spare other parents the devastating loss we experienced. Telling our story to save others is what gets me up and going every single day. It's my passion and has become my life's work. I left my career as a successful financial recruiter and now speak to thousands of people across the country about suicide prevention –sharing our story and giving practical tools to build resilience. In addition to traveling and speaking, I work as a Suicide Prevention Specialist for the community mental health center serving two local counties, where we are transforming suicide prevention in schools.Click Here for the QPR Institute

You can reach Jeff at GatheringMV.org or find him on Facebook at The Gathering of the Miami Valley.Heather Parady in her own words:The real story. Here's a little about my unconventional path: I grew up in Arkansas, was homeschooled my entire life, and played Mary, the mother of Jesus, in more church human videos than I can count. Originally, I wanted to go into full-time ministry (that's what Southern Christian Bible Belt folks do, y'all). I even got ordained. But through a series of events, I realized that wasn't the path for me. I still wanted to make a difference in the world, so I went to school to be a nurse. I almost failed A&P 1 (yes, the first class), switched to psychology, and eventually earned a master's degree in it. Therapist? Done deal. But then I stumbled into the online space, fell in love with media, and discovered the world of creativity. Ironically, I feel like I found my way back to God through the creative process. This time, there wasn't a weird institution behind it—it was just a straight connection. After graduating and getting my license as a Therapist, I turned down three perfectly good job offers to see if I could build something on my own.Along my journey, I've hosted several top-ranking shows (conducted over 1,000 interviews), been hired by Old Navy to create content for their socials, ran a podcast with over 1,000,000 downloads in 8 months, spoken on stages about creativity, and worked with over 50 brands on their storytelling and content creation journeys. I'm more convinced than ever that the way to make an impact in your work is to bring every single ounce of you to the table.Unashamed. Unbashful. And lit UP. I also believe there's something greater at work—and It can be trusted.
