The Dads On The Fly podcast is a refreshing and relatable exploration of the intersection between fly fishing, fatherhood, and faith. Hosted by brothers Caleb and Joshua Cooper, this podcast offers a down-to-earth and honest look at their experiences as dads who are passionate about fly fishing. With each episode, they delve into a range of topics that resonate with listeners who love the outdoors and strive to balance their family lives with their hobbies.

One of the best aspects of The Dads On The Fly podcast is the genuine and authentic approach that Caleb and Joshua bring to their conversations. They speak from personal experience, sharing stories and insights that are relatable to anyone trying to navigate the challenges of being both a parent and an enthusiast of outdoor activities like fly fishing. Their discussions about faith add another layer to the podcast, allowing listeners to explore how spirituality can intersect with their passion for the outdoors.

Another highlight of this podcast is the wealth of practical advice and tips that Caleb and Joshua provide. From balancing time spent on hobbies with family obligations to finding ways to involve children in outdoor activities, they offer valuable insights that can help listeners better manage their own lives. Their enthusiasm for fly fishing is infectious, making it difficult not to feel inspired by their stories and experiences.

While there are many great aspects of The Dads On The Fly podcast, one possible drawback is that it may primarily appeal to those who have an interest in fly fishing or outdoor pursuits. Although there are broader themes of fatherhood and faith explored throughout the episodes, those who do not share an interest in these topics may find themselves less engaged with certain episodes.

In conclusion, The Dads On The Fly podcast offers an enjoyable blend of fly fishing talk, parenting anecdotes, and spiritual reflections. Caleb and Joshua Cooper's ability to connect with listeners through their relatable stories makes each episode feel like a conversation among friends. Whether you're an avid angler or simply someone interested in exploring the challenges and joys of fatherhood, this podcast is definitely worth a listen.

In this episode, Joshua and Caleb are joined by Pastor Heath Davis of Pinnacle Church in Canton, NC. Local to western North Carolina, Heath grew up fishing with his family in some of our favorite streams. Before entering the ministry, Heath served ten years in the U.S. Military as a Marine. After service in the Marines, he braved public education and taught at Canton Middle School. Now, he serves as the Lead Pastor of Pinnacle Church which he planted in 2006. Heath fell in love with the river at an early age, but after his time in the marines and moving back to the mountains of North Carolina he pursued that love as a white water kayaker. It wasn't until a recent trip to Montana and catching fish on the Bighorn River that he became "hooked" on trout on the fly. In this conversation we discuss the connections between white water kayaking and fly fishing, we're reminded of some of the early frustrations of new anglers, and we hear one of the wildest stories of learning you're a father. As we approach the end of the year, it is often a time of reflection. Part of that, we think, needs to be examining why we do what we do. In this flashback episode from a couple of years ago, Joshua and Caleb try to define their whys. Looking at why you do what you do leads to evaluating whether your efforts are truly worth it. We look at why we fish, why we do a podcast, why we bought a boat, and why we make the decisions we do as parents. Hopefully, this episode will inspire you to reflect on your whys.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dadsonthefly/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dadsonthefly/support
