Join Aidan and Noah on a candid and unfiltered journey as they bid adieu to the ill-fated Real Housewives of D.C. The hosts kick off by revisiting the cast, dissecting what worked and what didn't. While Stacie and Michaele emerge as the more tantalizing stars, Cat and Lynda were intriguing “villains” while Mary had a strong family life. Aidan and Noah pull no punches in expressing their unfiltered opinions on the cast's dynamics and why certain members failed to capture the audience's attention. Dive deep into the scandal that rocked the nation and played a pivotal role in the demise of the show—the infamous crashing of Barack Obama's first state dinner by Michaele and Tareq Salahi. Leveraging their expertise on the Real Housewives franchise, Aidan and Noah unravel the key factors that contributed to the failure of the D.C. installment. From lackluster storylines to the absence of compelling characters beyond Stacie and Michaele, the hosts provide a comprehensive analysis of where the show fell short. Prepare for laughter, witty banter, and a healthy dose of shade as the hosts navigate the tumultuous waters of the Real Housewives of D.C. but still give the show it's flowers and speculate that they definitely could've gone on for at least one more season. Forgotten to the annals of Housewives history, we blow away the dust and open up the chronicle to recount the story of Bravo's biggest blunder: The Real Housewives of DC. We talk politics, gay marriage, race relations, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, cheerleading, the Oasis Winery, crashing the White House State Dinner, and a farcical congressional hearing... Taylor tells Josie about uninvited guests Tareq and Michaele Salahi, and the Real Housewives storyline that ended in a congressional hearing. Plus: all the latest on the former Princess of Norway and her spirit hacking reptilian shaman fiancé.
Don't you just wish you had it in you to crash that party?? Well Michaele and Tareq Salahi felt the same way when they showed up totally uninvited to a state dinner for then Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. IMAGINE??? Lynda Erkiletian from The Real Housewives Of DC steps Behind The Rope. The Real Housewives of DC! As Andy Cohen once said directly to Lynda, “once a wife, always a wife.” We agree. We do agree. Originally, Linda explains, RHODC was pitched to her as a different type of non housewives show. Hmm, we have heard that before. Lynda explains how she was originally cast, when she found out it was in fact a Real Housewives show, and the reservations she had about joining the juggernaut franchise. She discusses the inevitable presence of politics in any show based in DC and the effect that had, not only on the season of RHODC that aired, but what a different show it would be if aired in the current political climate of today. Lynda also talks about the challenges both logistically and confidentially about casting and shooting in the political sector. Lynda expresses the disappointment in being the first of the housewives franchises to be cancelled. Of course, we discuss her cast mates Mary Amons, Cat Ommanney, Stacie Scott Turner and last, but certainly not least Michaele Salahi (now Schon), what filming with each was like, which relationships changed for the better and worse as a result of the show, and where each of those relationships stands today. We focus on what is was like to be part of a franchise that was “hijacked” by one cast maneuver for an event that made national headlines, was a breach of national security, almost shut down the whole production, involved the FBI, and, is most likely the reason why the show was cancelled. Michaele and Tareq Salahi. We go there. Lynda also gives us her thoughts and ideas on what the franchise would have been like if there had been a second season green lit without the Salahis. Whew - we gotta a lot to talk about.
