Another post that gets me thinking along with the timely manner in which I saw this - I needed to be reminded about kindness with everything that is going on around us.  Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) strikes again with this message for all of us.  His thoughts on the post are: “A message for today … Kindness has such a powerful ripple effect. Every small act can make a huge difference in someone's day or even their life. Let kindness guide your heart & actions today & always. Strive to make the world a better place one person & act at a time.”  I think we all need to take this message to heart a bit more (especially here in the USA) and the little things we can do that help others is a big key for making a difference in these trying times. I know I need this and will try to be more of an example for kindness in order to make a difference for me and for others. Mitch Albom's recent podcast that I mention in this episode - having to do with sacrifice, really helped me with this message as well.  Check his “Tuesday People” podcast HERE.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosuccess   and on Instagram at:  @coachjohndaly  - My YouTube Channel is at: Coach John Daly.   Email me at: CoachJohnDalyPodcast@gmail.com     You can also head on over to https://www.coachtoexpectsuccess.com/ and get in touch with me there on my homepage along with checking out my Top Book list too.  Other things there on my site are being worked on too.  Please let me know that you are reaching out to me from my podcast.

On this week's episode of the Tuesday People podcast, host Mitch Albom explores the complex nature of gratitude and obligation. True gratitude, when genuine, can be life-changing. But when imposed, it can feel much closer to shame than appreciation. How do we distinguish between authentic gratitude and the obligation to express it? And when we give, do we do so freely—or with an unspoken demand for acknowledgment? Reflecting on the words of Teresa of Avila, "When one reaches the highest degree of human maturity, one has only one question left: 'How can I be helpful?" Mitch explores how shifting our focus from receiving thanks to simply giving can lead to a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Very cool morning today (not just temperature wise), where I found 3 connections to a message I wanted to share with you. First came a post that I saw on Twitter / X, where Bri Lewerke  (@brilewerke) shared a clip about how “The way Erica Wheeler is looking out for Caitlin Clark is everything.” It's about an older, more experienced player helping a younger player and where both of them put ego aside to be their best for each other and their team.  I then listened to Mitch Albom's “Tuesday People” podcast with his friend & producer Lisa Goich, and today's podcast Episode 202 (find it HERE)  where they talk about the more experienced actors helping the younger ones in the play about “Tuesdays With Morrie”.  Mitch makes a great connection with just about all the different play productions around the world, where the older actor (playing Morrie) and the younger actor (playing Mitch), develop this very strong friendship - exactly how it happened for the real Mitch and Morrie.  Wisdom being shared with younger people where it changes lives!  Finally, from the book that I read a passage from, every morning, “The Traveler's Gift” by Andy Andrews - comes the lesson on Wisdom.  It reminds us that we do get to choose who we hang out with and learn from, along with the importance the words from wiser people are often like raindrops on dry ground.  They help people grow.  So again, a very inspirational connection here with these 3 things (at least for me) and I hope you are able to draw some lessons to add to your life and the lives of others.

On today's episode of the Tuesday People podcast, host Mitch Albom and producer Lisa Goich discuss the subject of Calm. Even the word itself is onomatopoetic. How do we find calm in light of everything we have to deal with in our lives every day? From personal situations like health or financial issues, to outside influences like politics, war and the economy - how do we stare fear in the face without filling our hearts with fear? We'll hear wisdom from Morrie Schwartz himself on the subject, who teaches us that whatever it is, shall pass. And knowing that is the first step toward calm. Learn more about your ad choices.
