When I saw this post from Self-Care Canvas (@selfcarecanvas) it of course came to me as so many people are showing themselves to be the exact opposite (multiple times a day) of this quote: “Be humble and never think you are better than anyone else. We all leave this world with nothing.” It's both sad to me and also amazing how so many don't get this simple, yet valuable point. I know / I believe that we do leave with the love & relationships that we had for others in our lifetime! We leave that behind for others too. Now, I also believe that the world has SO MANY examples of people living lives that are not humble, not serving others, not showing kindness & empathy, etc. So we have plenty of examples of what we don't want to be in life. We need to be the example for others as to a better way to live our lives. Again, sorry for getting fired up and emotional with this episode, but I'm beginning to see things with a bit more clarity every single day!! I hope this helps you to do the same. I found a super strong & powerful post that got me fired up and it only has seven words to it. This came from the Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “Strong people rarely have an easy past.” As I got to thinking about this, I started seeing myself in a way that I usually don't see myself at all. I realize I'm a lot stronger than I give myself credit for due to the “storms” I have been through. It also occurred to me that I am a lot stronger and better because of the storms that my loved ones have gone through as well. This episode I got a bit fired up and emotional (I know, big surprise… LOL) as I really started to see myself and my loved ones in not only a different light, but a much stronger & clearer light too!! I hope this episode shows you about the true statement from Morrie Schwartz, from Mitch Albom's “Tuesdays With Morrie” - where he reminded us that “death ends a life, not a relationship.” If we keep working on our relationships in life, and not what the world tells us is important, we will keep getting stronger for sure. WOW.. this one hit me hard… right in the heart. It came from liminal (@Liminal1988) and it's a note that is titled “Dear Younger Me.” It starts out “You didn't know many things. You didn't know how life would turn out, or why certain things were happening to you. And that's ok….” and the last couple of lines “.... You're still learning, still healing. There's always something good in you. There was always something special about you. Then, and even now.” This got me thinking about my younger self and how that part of me (all the parts of my younger self) is still with me. The saying of how our past is our best mentor still rings true. I think it becomes even more valuable and special, when we are able to connect it to the memories, feelings, emotions, etc., of our younger self(s). Make sure you look this one up & take it to heart to make changes that you can connect with for your life! Thanks for listening. Found a great post from Inspiration & More (@LifeWithJohn) where we were reminded that we always need to “Always remember that there is a strength within you that is greater than any storm.” Since we all face storms, this is something we all need to remember - we have been through tough times & we will continue to go through them. Since again, our Past is our best mentor, we can lean on those experiences that we have been through. As I thought about this more and more, I felt better about the storms that I have been through. Also remember that the storms never last!! Thanks for listening. This post hit home with me simply because I think we need more people pulling for others rather than hoping that others lose or have troubles. I'm certainly trying to follow what the Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) shares here with this: “Call me crazy but I love to see people happy and succeeding. Life is a journey, not a competition.” To me, this is a good kind of “crazy” to be - encouraging others to win in life compared to being a critic and wanting others to lose. The world needs more people to look at celebrating others, instead of criticizing people. Thanks for listening. Found a very cool post - another short one, but yet it's a powerful one for sure. It has to do with the love of music. I hope I can say that just about all humans have a connection to music - ever since it's been around. This post came from Inspiration & More (@LifeWithJohn) “Kudos to music! Thank you for always clearing my head, healing my heart, & lifting my spirits. ~ A day without music is like a day without sunshine!” So many great memories came back when I saw this post and I hope this episode does the same for you. Do me a favor, reach out and let me know some of your favorite music too. Again, it's the great connector that all people have with each other. (my opinion of course) Thanks for listening. This is something we all need at times throughout life: liminal (@Liminal1988) “Read this when life feels overwhelming.” There is a lot to this post where it gives us plenty of ideas on how to help ourselves to feel a bit better and more grounded when we are feeling a bit overwhelmed. Let's face it, life can do that to all of us at any time. This post has many different connections for all of us to pay attention to. Thanks for listening. Super reflective post here that I found from The Mindfulness Meditation Institute (@TrainingMindful) where we are reminded that “You can't change the people around you, but you can change the people around you. Read that again.” This reminded me that I can't change the people around me - what they say, what they think, what they do, etc. But, I can change the people around me as to who is around me, who I let influence me along with who I spend my time connecting to. In today's world, this is something I need to get stronger with for sure. Thanks for listening. I have been using Seek Wiser (@SeekWiser_) to share some of the thoughts and ideas that get posted on a frequent basis. I'm going with my heart and gut as to sharing thoughts & ideas to inspire and get people thinking about things that can make their lives a bit better. This post said this: “Humans were designed to create. This is why you get depressed when all you do is consume.” This one connected directly to one of the biggest difference makers in my life, and I shared that in my repost comments for this: “… my first thought when I read this.. @MitchAlbom sharing the story of Morrie telling Mitch that taking from others made him feel like he was dying. Giving to others made him feel like he was living!!” Things like this are what I need to keep around me as reminders for how I want to live my life!! Thanks for listening. Coach Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) shares his powerful thoughts “A message for today … When it's meant for you, it brings a sense of ease. It doesn't leave you questioning your worth or peace of mind. Your soul recognizes what is right for you by how it feels when you're in its presence. If it costs you your inner calm, it's too expensive.” There are some good things to take with us from this episode for sure. It reminds us that if things cost us our peace in life, it's probably something we don't need to connect with. Thanks for listening. It's so easy to keep connecting with posts from great people - Psyche Wizard (@PsycheWizard) is someone who I keep leaning on for sure. This one reminds us: “If you don't make time for your wellness. You will be forced to make time for your illness. Read that again.” This one really got me feeling like I need to have that intentional focus for my wellness. It's true, it's one or the other as our choices really do take us towards our wellness or illness. Great focus post for sure. I know I need to take this into account more so now, than ever before! Found a quick yet thought provoking post from Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) which shared this: “Nothing is scarier than avoiding your full potential.” A quick wake up and yet kind of hurtful reminder for me. It got me thinking about the thought of towards the end of our lives - even after we die, spending eternity looking into the “mirror of regret” for eternity, as to the person we could have been. No way! No how, do I want any part of that thought. I need to keep moving forward. Little steps. Action for sure is better than holding back! Once again, it's funny (or by design) that I saw a posting for a connection of something that I went through this morning - any many other mornings. It was great advice for me to keep focusing on this, taking back control of what I was focusing on. Saw a very “reflective” post that got me thinking about some things and as always, I hope it gets you thinking too. From Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) where they share the thought that “you cannot see your reflection in boiling water. Similarly, you cannot see the truth in a state of anger. When the water calms, clarity comes.” This reminded me of the fact that there is much work I still need to do. It's something that I choose to work on. Something I get to work on. Simple message today, but not only did I need to see this, I needed to share it too. (@Loveandfear) shared this gem, what is called a Gentle Reminder: “Be someone who still tries. After failure, frustrations, and heartache - be a person who musters up the courage to try and believe that good things are yet to come.” Yep… I needed to be reminded about simply trying. Not giving up. Not getting stuck inside my own head and not getting in my own way of doing things, going after my dreams, etc. It sure is easy to let the world get in the way. I am choosing to try and keep moving forward despite all the obstacles life (and myself) throw in my way. I can work on what I throw in my way & I can work on how I react to what life tosses around at me. Thanks for listening. Score another great post from liminal (@Liminal1988) where we are reminded about a very simple thought: “Do a good job.” With this thought, it's all about no matter what we do in life. Whatever calling / profession we have, simple & powerful… do a good job! It's something that I know I need to work on for sure. One part really stuck with me: “Fully invest yourself in the things you're tending to.” I got to tell you. Here I am, in my very late 50's in age and I know I still have so much more to do & accomplish. This is helping me to not only see a future podcast episode or two, but also it's inspiring me to keep sharing these messages. Wow.. morning reflections as I'm putting this show together - with my morning coffee… all equals out to some good stuff. Thanks for listening. Saw a remarkable post from Steve Harvey (@IAmSteveHarvey) where he said “I came across a quote that said: ‘The most valuable math you can learn is how to calculate the future cost of your current decisions.' Think about that.” Well Steve, I am thinking about this. It all balances in with doing things today, right now, so that my future self will be proud AND for me to keep being in the moment (where my two feet are) and doing my best in that moment. I just want to (and need to) keep making good choices, to build the kind of life that I can be proud of. If I do this, I know those that are around me will benefit as well. Thanks for listening. Found a great reminder for me to go a bit easier on myself along with having some gratitude thrown my way from a couple of good friends - Denyse and Erica. The post came from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “When things go wrong, take a moment to be thankful for what's going right.” A really small & not any type of emergency mistake happened… caused by me, but I quickly found a solution AND I made a quick adjustment about not beating myself up about it either. Offering myself some grace when needed, on top of fixing the goof that I caused, helps me to get back on track with my day. Since it's spring, this post from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) sure stands out for all of us to take a look at. It caught my eye for sure. It said: “Some days you bloom, some days you grow roots. Both matter.” This got me thinking that I simply need to keep doing things in my life to grow my roots. To become stronger. To keep improving in all areas of my life. People don't usually see our “root system".” They do see our “bloom”. Our bloom is great as it's what helps us to make connections to others. However, if we don't take care of our roots, our blooms will not last. Interesting post that got me thinking differently and I hope it helps you to pick up something that can help you out too. I saw this post that I shared with some students I'm working with, mainly because it made me think about how I needed this reminder too. Also, I keep telling students, the earlier they grasp onto some of these lessons, they will have so many opportunities come their way that many adults never, ever see. This came from Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) where it was shared -”Punctuality is not about being on time, it's basically about respecting your own commitments.” Sure being on time is important, but what's even more important is us to see that it is directly connected to how we see ourselves as being worthy of the effort. The things & people that we need to connect with, those take time. If I value who I am, where I want to go, what I want to build my life to be, who I want to add value to, etc., I will make sure I will be “on time” for those things. For many of those things, it's a simple matter of “I'll actually do those things”. I will follow up with myself because I promised myself (and others) that I'd do something. I need to think of myself with such value that I'll find a way to see that it's really something we need to & get to, DO… for our own goals and dreams. Why keep “showing up late” in our own life?? After a great phone call with my buddy, and fellow podcast enthusiast, Coach Dave - I saw this posting that reminded me of so many things. Once again from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) ”There's a story behind every person. There is a reason why they're the way they are. Think about that before you judge someone.” So many simple reminders for me to not only stop judging people who I may not agree with, have said and done things that I may not like - and especially not judging myself so harshly! We have opportunities every single day - in fact many moments of every day to judge less, as we all have so many reasons why we do what we do. One thing for sure is that I know I have plenty to work on to keep trying to improve, every day I have!! Thanks for listening. Good one that I picked up from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “Life is like a book. Some chapters are sad, some are happy and some are exciting, but if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter has in store for you.” This has been something on my radar a bit lately - when I'm in a funk, beating myself up, in a bad mood, etc., I have been trying to turn the page a bit quicker, instead of reading the page over and over. My book has plenty of “old chapters” and they are meant to help with sharing lessons of my past so that my present day can help me with my future. So many times I have not turned my page and I know I need to do it. I think we all can pick up some ideas from this one. Thanks for listening. For someone like me who needs some advice to fight the laziness that pops up here and there for me in life, this list from Seek Wiser (@SeekWiser_) - “You Will Never Be Lazy After Reading This” list of 7 items. Found a great reminder from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials)and it's all centered with an egg as the reminder. It's wrapped around in this truth - “If an Egg is Broken by outside force, Life ends. If Broken by inside force, Life begins. Great things always begin from inside.” It's a good thing to remember that life is an inside - out job. We can control things that we have control of - things that are inside ourselves. Things that are outside of us, things that the world may throw at us - even other people throw at us; we can't get caught up thinking those things are more important. Thanks for listening. Saw an awesome quote from a football legend that really got me thinking. "... we will chase perfection, and we will chase it relentlessly, knowing all the while we can never attain it. But along the way, we shall catch excellence." ~ Vince Lombardi. There are a few hashtags that came with this that go along with this mindset. #WinTheDay #StackWinningDays and #StandardsOverFeelings. So many awesome things to tie into trying to be our best in so many areas of our lives. It's something that I know I need to do more of for sure. Hope this helps you in your journey too. Saw another post that was deserving to be shared. It comes from a fabulous educator and coach that you have heard from before. Coach Ray Ostrowski (@CoachRayO3313) reminds all of us that “You get what you put in. You can't cheat the Grind.” Remember, the Grind is something we all have to deal with as it's not the same for everybody. One thing for sure, we need to have conversations with the person in the mirror staring back at us. When it comes to cheating, we can't put anything over that person that is always with us. Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “Be the reason why people believe in beautiful souls, kind hearts, and good energy.” I saw this and it made an impact on me … again… as I see not only the world needs more of this, but that I need to be more like this! It's a simple message of never stop being a good person. Good things will come your way and the people that you love and they love you, will appreciate you being your best!! Thanks for listening. I found a super impactful reminder from Simon Sinek, where he reminded us that: “The goal is not to be perfect by the end. The goal is to be better today.” Powerful reminder about not only that “perfect” isn't attainable, but also that we can't do much about the past & future - we have the present moment to focus on and do something with. For me, this got me thinking about beating myself up less and offering myself a bit more grace - as I keep trying to move forward. Little wins mean a lot each and every day!! That's all we need to focus on, or at least try. Thanks for listening. Found a great lesson, a powerful reminder - and once again it's coming from a former student of mine. From Coach Ray Ostrowski (@CoachRayO3313) Where he gave us some of his thoughts: “Complacency is the enemy of progress. We cannot grow satisfied with what we did yesterday & expect to be better tomorrow. It's about the work you put in right now. If you truly want to be special, you have to be willing to sacrifice today! The cost for success is always increasing.” He shared a quote too that connects with his thoughts and again, remind all of us that we have some choices that we can make for ourselves that will tremendously help ourselves too. Saw a great post that for sure connects with me and maybe others too. Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) reminds us to keep this in mind: “I am slowly becoming the person I should've been a long time ago.” It's a reminder to just keep going. Just keep trying. To not get down knowing that maybe we are not doing things we said we're going to do, wanted to do, promised to do, etc. Powerful stuff for me and maybe for you. I had to pull over in the car to record this as I was not home to do this. Thanks for listening. Just about everyone is looking to be a bit more happy in life and I am one of those people. Just saw a post from liminal (@Liminal1988) where they shared this: “A big part of being happy is being excited. Be excited for everything - making a cup of tea, seeing a friend, the next episode of your favorite show, buying something you've been saving up for, sunsets, traveling, falling in love. Live a life you are excited about.” This got me thinking about a lot of things to get excited about in my life. A cup of coffee, doing this podcast, spending time with my wife and family & friends, etc. This also got me thinking about John O'Leary's interview with Carlos Whittaker - where they have a great conversation on the lost art of having a real connection to our lives! A big part of being happy is discussed in this episode. Find it on John's site HERE. You can also watch it live on Youtube HERE. Amazing connections in this episode with this post that I found. I urge you to take some time to listen to this episode from John O'Leary and also to follow him - the man is an authentic difference maker. Thanks for listening. Saw an amazingly accurate post from Seek Wiser (@SeekWiser_) where this thought was shared: “You become unstoppable when you work on things people can't take away from you. Things like your character, habits, mindset, and attitude.” This connected with me in a very direct way this morning as I was reflecting on things to start my day. Reading some things that help get my day started in a positive direction and allows me to try and continue to focus on my burn / purpose for getting things done and creating things to help others (along with myself.) An overwhelming feeling and connection to this post, was from Mitch Albom's book, “Tuesdays With Morrie”, where Morrie (Mitch's college professor), shared this (paraphrased) thought: “Why would I take all the time? Taking makes me feel like I'm dying. Giving makes me feel like I'm Living!” I want to keep becoming unstoppable and things like this thought, helps me to at least have my best shot at doing just that! Saw a great post from Daniel Pink (@DanielPink) and it came from his Tuesday wisdom: “The World is changed by your example, not by your opinion.” - Paolo Coehlo. Yep.. so many people express their opinions on line super easy and certainly not the same way that they would say their thoughts to people face to face. But, we remember that opinions are like people's backsides… everyone has one! Our actions stand stronger. What we do in life stands larger than only what we say. I know I need to remember this and do more about it for sure. How about you? Thanks for listening. I found this statement that simply jumped out at me from Dolphins Enlighten (@embracetruejoy) and it reminds me to just keep doing good!! This was part of it: “All it takes is one person to start and make a change for the good and impact the world greatly.” The main part that is really simple when you look at it was this: “I cannot do all the good that the world needs. But the world needs all the good that I can do.” Each person has their world changed by bit of kindness, encouragement, love, helpful action, etc. So remember, it's not necessarily the ENTIRE world, but each “world” of a person that you are able to help in some way. I need to remember this a bit more often. The “world” does need more of us doing this for sure. Thanks for listening. Saw a very powerful post and it's quite a Game Plan for all of us to follow a bit more, not just on a Monday. Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) shared this total truth: “Deep conversations with the right people are everything.” I saw this and started thinking back to so many of my favorite people and started to recall awesome & deep conversations with them. It brings a smile to my face, a tug on my heart and a tear to my eye. I for sure, want and need more of these types of conversations for sure and I will be looking to intentionally focus on doing more of them. I hope you can too. Thanks for listening. In my never ending search for success clues, I found this from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “There are three solutions to every problem: accept it, change it, or leave it. If you can't accept it, change it. If you can't change it, leave it.” Seeing that we all have different problems, all throughout life and at different times every day, this was a good reminder to maybe reflect a little bit more on this. It really comes down to how we respond to problems in life. We have choices as far as how we respond. Some good reflections came to me on this - hope you enjoy and I hope you have some thoughts about this one. Reach out to me if you want to. Thanks for listening. With the recent WNBA draft that I was watching, I caught a post from The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1) where they shared a video clip of a partial interview full of wisdom and advice that all of us (especially me) need to connect with. “Just win every day that's in front of you. Don't worry about the future, don't worry about the past, don't worry about your mistakes. Don't worry about anything but what you're doing in that moment. Winning that day, conquering that day and just be where your feet are,” - Paige Bueckers (#1 overall pick) Again, connecting with life lessons - not for basketball, but for life - is so important throughout our journeys through life. Worrying is something that I've always done in my life and I'm finally figuring out I don't have to choose to worry, nor do I have to spend my time on it as much as I've done. This is something that I need to keep working on. Thanks for listening. Watching some TV yesterday I was connected to MLB celebrating Jackie Robinson Day. There was a special on MLB channel, called “Letters from Jackie” and I was amazed at the many things that he not only did for the great sport of baseball but for our country and really the world - when it comes to race relations and the things that people were willing to fight for. These things are what we are still dealing with in our world today. I was actually in tears, much like I was last year listening to Reggie Jackson sharing what he went through as a young baseball player trying to get into the big leagues. This all connected with me as to a message about perspective that I got from one of the posts from Rory Mcilroy winning the masters. Perspective from different sources - sports have it all the time - sure can help us in our regular lives. Thanks for listening. What a tremendous weekend of healing and watching The Masters golf tournament. The healing part - hand surgery this past Thursday. The golf part, the emotional roller coaster was so special & memorable for many reasons. I saw this post from Shane Lowry (@ShaneLowryGolf) who was not only a competitor in the tournament and he was playing well enough for times to be looking at a possible victory, but he is also great friends with the eventual champion, Rory MciIory. We all need friends like this, where Shane posted this: “The Masters is one of the greatest weeks in golf. I was so disappointed with my performance Sunday but I gave it everything and that's all I can ask for. I've never been happier to watch someone else achieve something that I want so badly myself. Rory deserves every bit of this and I was so happy to be there to watch him make history.” Remember, if you want friends like this in your life, be this type of friend for others. I found something recently that I think we all need to see. From Gratitude HQ (@gratefuledu64) #KindnessMatters “Let's take action!” The main thought shared is “The world is changed by your example not by your opinion.” I think we all can agree there are way too many opinions flying around out there - especially on all forms of social media. So many of them are not really doing much good. More positive examples are needed and each of us can do a few of them here and there. The world needs this change for sure. Thanks for listening. Found a great little quote here for all of us to focus on with trying to help others. Art of Thinking (@Art0fThinking) mentions this great reminder: “Never discourage anyone who continually makes progress, no matter how slow.” - Plato. The world needs more encouragement, even when someone is going slower than what we think they should. Their journey is not ours, remember that. This also goes with any and all conversations that we have with the person staring back at us in the mirror. The world needs more encouragement for sure. Thanks for listening. Saw this image of a poster on a city wall - it came from Drew Maddux (@DrewMaddux) and before that quote, he asks: “Are you willing to outlast the wait?!” The quote on this poster: “The ‘win' is coming, don't let the ‘when' worry you.” The key is to just keep working hard. This is probably a repeat but I wanted to remind myself of this too… great stuff from Alan Stein, Jr. (@AlanSteinJr) -“Blaming, complaining, and making excuses will never move you forward or make your situation better.” I have found myself still doing all three of these, but I'm catching myself sooner when they pop up. I'm also noticing others that do these a bit more too. At those times, I need to not join them in doing these. Unfortunately I think we are seeing way too many examples of this all around us in today's world. Plenty of lessons of what not to be like for sure. Thanks for listening. I think so many people, at different times in life, get caught up with this one. I found it from Motivational Quotes (@motivational) and it was simply titled, “Don't worry”. It's all about how we need to not worry about what people are thinking about us, or not liking us; when really they are working on liking themselves. As we get older I think we see the truth in this and I know that I wished that I had learned this earlier. Thanks for listening. I watched the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship the other night where the University of Connecticut won their record 12th national title. This comes from one of their stars and it was posted by The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1) and this was shared: “Just responding to life's challenges and trying to fuel them to make me a better person, a better player. Continue to grow in my leadership abilities, being a great teammate and just staying who I am and standing firm in who I am”. - Paige Bueckers Winners know the difference. This connects to all of us, in our own lives, whether we are playing any sport or not. I found this powerful, yet simple reminder about what growth is not connected to. Motivational Quotes (@motivational) reminds us that: “Anyone who has grown mentally, physically, or spiritually knows that growth is not found in comfort.” Don't get me wrong, there are times to be comfortable for sure. But, I know I can't spend most of every day looking to simply be comfortable. I need to put action behind things that I must do, get to do, want to do, etc. Talk with that person in the mirror to see what's next for you to tackle. Thanks for listening. Found a reminder for all of us - comes from Greg Berge (@gb1121) where he shares this with everyone: “You are who you hang with. Surround yourself with the following people… - They are happy for your success - Driven and goal oriented - They make you better - Positive energy givers - Respectful of others - Resilient mindset - Kind hearted - 100% ers. You owe it to yourself.” Of course I know this is what we all should strive to be for others too. I think it's a great reminder in what to look for around us in others and for the person in the mirror staring back at us. We have so many examples of WHAT NOT TO BE in today's world - here is a great reminder on a few things we need to put out there in the world, a bit more often. Thanks for listening. I don't think that I can (or should) go too far away from mentioning the importance of Gratitude. I found this post from The Mindfulness Meditation Institute (@TrainingMindful) where this reminder is shared - “Gratitude… Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” - Eckhart Tolle. It got me thinking about how there are many days that I do connect with gratitude, especially on my walks with our dog - but I need to have a bit more intentional focus on connecting with them more often every day! It helps to inspire me to continue on, to work hard, to keep overcoming setbacks and obstacles, along with reminding me to connect more with the people in my life that I love and care for. I feel good about my day when I connect with gratitude for sure. Thanks for listening. I came across a post from Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) that shared a much needed reminder (at least for me) to “do more things that make you forget to check your phone.” It's been on my mind lately as to making more of an effort to stay off my phone / computer more and do things that I used to not think twice about before all of this technology came into our lives. It's something that I know I need to do a bit more often and it's probably true for all of us. Seeing that there is more and more technology in our lives and even more coming in our futures, I think it's something …. No, I know it's something that I have to do a bit more of. Life is so much more than the technology we carry around with us all the time. Thanks for listening. I found a gem this morning that really has a great change in mindset for all of us. This came from Sam Rothman (@samrothman_) who is a sports reporter and she shared this: “Danny White saw Kim Caldwell as a rising star. He was right, and now she is staying through 2030.” In this press conference Coach Kim Caldwell (University of Tennessee women's basketball coach) was talking about the Athletic Director at Tenn. who offered her a contract extension. She said - "I will spend every day trying to prove him right. I spent a lot of this season trying to prove people wrong, but you have to prove the people that believed in you right." #LadyVols I think it's a very positive mindset shift, to view why we do things in life to prove our encouragers correct rather than focusing on the critics. I think it also reminds us to be that encourager for others too. Awesome post here for sure! Thanks for listening. I found a very simple thought today from Clint Hurdle (@ClintHurdle13) “Be a friend. Be a helper. Be kind. That's it.” A very simple and easy to understand message that all of us need to hear. The world needs you to be a bit more like this and I'm talking to myself in the mirror right now my friends. We don't know what others are exactly going through, but we can say that everyone is taking on some type of battle where they need us to be a friend, a helper and to be kind. Hope we can see it from our so-called “leaders” too. Thanks for listening.
