  Episode Cancellations and Card Collecting Jefry and Scott discussed the cancellation of "Nostalgia" this week due to scheduling conflicts with predictions and a "Top 11" episode next week. They also talked about the delay of the "WCW Revenge" episode for the Nintendo 64, which will now debut in the week after next. Scott shared his thoughts on the bizarre concept of "rip cards" in baseball card collecting, where a card is destroyed to reveal a smaller, potentially more valuable card inside. They also discussed the recent retirement of John Cena and the high value of his autographed cards, as well as the discovery of a rare Tom Brady card.   Wrestling Era and Figure Discussions Jefry and Scott discussed their opinions on the recent era of wrestling, particularly focusing on John Cena's last run. They both agreed it was rushed and poorly executed, with Scott giving it a rating of 2 out of 5. They also talked about the potential for Mattel to create action figures of Jimmy Garvin and Steve Regal. Finally, they briefly mentioned upcoming wrestling events, including WrestleCon in Vegas.   WrestleCon Autographs and Collectibles Scott and Jefry discussed the rare autograph signing opportunities with Don Morocco and Kevin Vaughn Eric for WrestleCon, with Jefry considering a day trip to attend. Scott shared his excitement about receiving a blue card Hogan LJN figure, and they discussed the appeal of Dusty Rhodes figures, particularly the polka dot era, with Jefry having a blue card Dusty and Scott considering a black card version.   Wrestling Figures and Nostalgia Scott and Jefry discussed Dusty Rhodes' wrestling character and how he embraced a negative gimmick. They then shared their experiences with the new LJN-style wrestling figures, with Scott describing the nostalgic feeling of holding a figure from his childhood in 2025. Scott also read a message from Russell Cartwright who had canceled pre-orders for Hogan and Cena figures after listening to their podcast, and instead found them at retail, which brought back childhood memories.   WrestleCon and Upcoming Product Releases Jefry and Scott discussed the rarity of Rick Martell's autograph signings and speculated that Martell's participation in a New York signing could indicate an upcoming announcement for WrestleCon. They then reviewed new products, including a limited-edition Undertaker bobblehead inspired by the Backlash 2008 poster, and discussed Funko's upcoming releases featuring Uncle Howdy, Jesse Ventura, Bray Wyatt, Jey Uso, and two Rhea Ripley variants. Finally, they mentioned that Junk Shop Dog is releasing three different looks for Tanahashi, who is retiring early next month.   Wrestling Tag Teams Legacy Debate Scott and Jefry discussed the legacy of various wrestling tag teams, including the Hardys, Dudleys, and Road Warriors, and debated who should be included on a hypothetical "Mount Rushmore" of tag teams. They also talked about Ringside Collectibles' new Joe Hendry figure, which is ready to ship and includes a bass that plays his theme music.    Mick Foley's WWE Departure Discussion Scott and Jefry discussed Mick Foley's decision to part ways with WWE due to concerns about the company's relationship with Donald Trump. They admired Foley's ability to stand up for his principles and walk away from the company. The conversation then shifted to new wrestling figures, including Tito Santana in his El Matador gimmick and a highly anticipated Coco Beware figure, which Scott placed on his top 11 list for 2026.   Rob Reiner Event and Licensing Jefry and Scott discussed the upcoming Rob Reiner annual event, which will be the first official one and will feature a "Top 11" list. They also talked about action figures, including the inability to use the Superman logo on WWE products due to licensing issues. Scott expressed surprise at learning that Andre's license is no longer with WWE. They briefly discussed the possibility of future DC-WWE mashup figures and the likelihood of John Cena being featured as Peacemaker. Lastly, they mentioned that WWE is open to working with Target and potentially using other LJN lines for future products. LJN Product Line Future Discussion Scott and Jefry discussed the future of the LJN product line, agreeing that it would likely continue for about 4 years before a reevaluation. They emphasized the importance of including a ring and cage as a package deal, as well as releasing tag team sets. They decided against producing thumb wrestlers and stretch wrestlers but expressed interest in potentially creating Bendy figures in a few years if the LJN line remains successful. The conversation concluded with a brief discussion about potential upgrades to wrestling belts, with Steve mentioning that the classic IC title was next on his wishlist for belt upgrades. Wrestling Belt Nostalgia and Upgrades Jefry and Scott discussed the nostalgia and upgrades of wrestling belts from the 1985-1986 era, highlighting significant improvements across major organizations. They expressed hope for the release of the AWA tag team titles, with potential candidates like the Road Warriors or Hall and Henning, though Scott noted limited options for tag champions. They also discussed the possibility of signing legends like Marty Jannetti to future deals, and Jefry confirmed that Barry Wyndham is still under contract, despite no new figures being made since 2010.

It's all about WWF Prime Time Wrestling Christmas 1987, battle royale style with Jeremy Phelps the Alamo City Santa,  Ron from the Film Strip podcast, Joe from Now Watch This, Manny from Feliz Christmas, Merry Navidad, and CJ from Rose Suchak Ladder! We talk Bobby the Brain and Gorilla! Also, we dive into Hogan and Dibiasi! We body slam Strike Force and the Islanders! This episode has it all!Airing December 21, 1987, the matches begin with Hercules taking on Junkyard Dog. After a double clothesline, Hercules pins JYD with help from the ropes. Following that, the Conquistadors fight the Young Stallions. There follows a scissor flip, several chokeholds, a shot to the midsection and flip and drop kick for the Stallions victory. Next, in a promo, Hulk turns down Ted Dibiasi's offer to buy the championship.Iron Mike Sharpe and Ultimate Warrior fight, with the latter slamming the former's face into the turnbuckle. Meanwhile, Bobby and Gorilla argue about gift giving, and plug the free Royal Rumble matchup on USA. Also, Ted Dibiasi's talks about how he spent his Thanksgiving: with money! Hacksaw Jim Duggan performed a football charge to pin Rex King. Subsequently, Danny Houston was counted out of the ring giving Danny Davis the win. As well, Brutus the Barber Beefcake did a promo about his barber's tool, calling out Greg Valentine. Then Brain gives Gorilla a box of stolen junk from Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City! Finally, Strike Force—Rick Martel and Tito Santana—collided with the monstrous Islanders, Haku and Tama. Superstar Billy Graham wrestles last WWF match (1983) and leaves company (for AWA) due to issues including painkiller abuse. Audio: How does Verne Gagne and AWA celebrates the one year anniversary of their fu**ery towards AWA fans and Hulk Hogan? By doing it again but this time, it's 'Super'. Looking back at AWA Super Sunday event (1983). Almost three years to the day the AWA fu**ery began for Hulk Hogan, The Hulkster (now WWF Champion) lands the cover of Sports Illustrated. Jerry 'The King' Lawler loses his first Hair match and the Southern Heavyweight Title. Ken Patera makes his WWF return after serving two years in prison for the McDonalds incident. Bonus Audio: Looking back at the night both Bobby Heenan and Andy Kaufman managed Ken Patera against Jerry Lawler. The Fantastics end The Midnight Express' 345 day record reign as NWA US Tag Team Champions. Sting and Lex Luger defeat Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson to win last ever Jim Crockett Sr Memorial Cup Tag Team Tournament. Big Bubba Rogers wrestles last match in Japan (teams with Jimmy Snuka) before signing with WWF and becoming The Big Boss Man. Looking back at Episode 21 of Saturday Night Main Event (1989). Looking back at New Japan's first event (Battle Satellite) from the Tokyo Done (1989). Mr Perfect defeats Tito Santana in a tournament final to win the vacated WWF IC Championship (previously held by The Ultimate Warrior). ECW crowns its first ever ECW Champion (Jimmy Snuka), just to lose it a day later to Johnny Hotbody. Sid Vicious abruptly leaves WWF after a match against The Ultimate Warrior. The Heavenly Bodies def The Fantastics to become the first ever Smokey Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Champions. Naliz makes his WWF debut, attacking The Big Boss Man. Looking back at the Sumo Match between Earthquake and Yokozuna on Monday Night Raw. Looking back at AAA Triplemania II-A event (1997). Audio: Triple H speaks on the origins of the 'Hunter Hearst Helmsley character and name. Hulk Hogan finalizes paperwork to launch a small chain of Pastamania restaurants. Looking back at WCW and New Japan 'Collision In Korea' two day event in North Korea. Looking back at WWF 'In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies' PPV (1996). 'Fat Frank' Iadevia (RIP) causes local controversy in NY/NJ after and odd in call-in to The Howard Stern Show. D-Generation X attempts to invade WCW event. Audio: Val Venis is 'coming' with Jenna Jameson. Audio: Bruce Prichard speaks on the D-X WCW Invasion skits behind the cameras. Looking back at WWF 'In Your House 21: Unforgiven' PPV (1998). Looking back at the first annual 'Brian Pillman Memorial Event' (1998), and the WWF House Show that also raised money for the family of the late Brian Pillman. Audio: DDP loses the WCW Heavyweight Championship to an insanely over Sting during an episode of Monday Nitro - just to win the title back later the same night. While Ric Flair is stuck in a Mental Hospital during WCW Monday Nitro, Steve Austin rescues Stephanie McMahon from the Ministry Of Darkness. WWF tapes the pilot episode of Smackdown (1999). The Corporate Ministry of Darkness is formed. Juventud Guerrera and Jerry Flynn arrested in PA for DWI. Looking back at WWF 'In Your House 28: Backlash' PPV event (1999). Steve Austin returns to WWF TV with a bang! and blows up the DX Express Tour Bus. David Arquette wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and donates his earnings to the families of Brian Pillman and Owen Hart, and to Droz. Sabu defeats The Messiah in a tournament final to win the vacated XPW Heavyweight Championship (previously held by Chris Candido). Steve Corino defeats Mike Rapada to win the NWA Heavyweight Championship. Looking back at WWF Backlash PPV (2001, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009 Audio: Randy Orton makes his WWF main roster debut. 'The Scorpion King' starring The Rock opens up to record revenue numbers at the box office. Steve Austin announces his in ring retirement (2003). Audio: Only hours after announcing his retirement from in ring action, Steve Austin becomes Co-GM of Raw with Eric Bischoff. Randy Orton spits in the face of Harley Race. Looking back at TNA 'Lockdown' PPV (2005, 2006) Chris Candido suffers serious ankle and leg injury during match on TNA PPV, and sadly passes away only days later due to a blood clot. WWE starts contacting former ECW stars about appearing for WWE relaunch of ECW brand. MTV and Viacom sign off on the creation of Wrestling Society X. Hogan Knows Best renewed for a third season. Looking back at the World Wrestling Legends '6:05 - The Reunion' PPV (2006). 'The Condemned' starring Steve Austin hits movie theaters to terrible reviews. Audio: Vince McMahon wins the ECW Heavyweight Championship. One of the greatest matches in WWE Raw history: Shawn Michaels and John Cena battle almost an hour on Raw (HBK wins). Reid Flair arrested after DWI incident involving heroin and driving with a revoked license. Looking back at WWE 'Extreme Rules' PPV (2010, 2012). Looking back at 2010 WWE Draft (Kelly Kelly #1 Draft Pick) Audio: TNA Monday Night Impact Main Event: Abyss vs Ric Flair battle over WWE Hall Of Fame Rings.
