Ladies and gentlemen... Tiger Woods is BACK. In the final event of the season, Tiger Woods put the exclamation point on a comeback season that will be talked about... forever. A year ago we were debating if Tiger would consider retiring. On Sunday we watched him defeat the 50 best players in the world, win the TOUR Championship, and ALMOST win the FedEx Cup. Incredible is the only word to describe it. With almost no time to rest, Tiger and the rest of the American & European players flew to France in preparation for the Ryder Cup this week at Le Golf National in France. The TOUR Championship is finally here... On Thursday the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup points will descend on East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA for the final event of the #PLAYOFFS (00:41). It took 5 days, but the BMW Championship is finally in the books. (00:35) The weather was so bad in Philadelphia that there was some debate as to whether the final round would even happen at all (12:23). Thankfully for Keegan Bradley it did(25:31) - as he outlasted newly minted world # 1 Justin Rose in a playoff for the victory... his first in 7 years. On the other side of the leaderboard was Jordan Spieth, (6:47) whose 55th place finish means he will miss the Tour Championship for the first time in his career. This week also saw the final captain's picks for the Ryder Cup (38:00) - Tony Finau for the Americans... Paul Casey, Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter and Henrik Stenson for the Europeans. The Open Championship is in the books, and so is the 2018 Skull & Crossed Championship! Mike, Matt, Dave, and Friend of the Pod Cullen break down all the action from Carnoustie and Pinehurst. (1:38)A fast and hard Carnoustie delivered some fireworks this weekend - with weekend charges from Rose, Spieth, and Tiger Woods. It was vintage Tiger on the weekend - but a rowdy fan (24:58) and a missed putt left the door open for San Francisco Molinari to win the Claret Jug. Back in Pinehurst (1:00:30) - 24 players battled it out on 3 courses over 3 days - culminating with an 18 hole shootout that came down to the final hole. Brooks Koepka is your US Open Champion! Matt's pick to win takes his second US Open victory in a row, besting Dustin Johnson, Tony Finau, and a red hot Sunday performance from FOTP Tommy Fleetwood. There was no shortage of controversy this week with how the USGA set up Shinnecock Hills (0:38)- taking an already brutal golf course to the extreme with unbelievably fast greens and some questionable pin placements. Phil Mickelson ignited a twitter firestorm on Saturday (21:01) hitting a wayward putt - while in motion - incurring a 2 shot penalty. There were hot takes flying from both sides - but ultimately the story was all about Koepka, who proved again why he is so tough to beat - firing a 68 on Sunday and winning his second Major (35:56). This week the tour heads to The Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Hartford, CT(1:08:52). A close proximity to the Open means a stronger than usual field this week.
