Experiencing occasional anxiety is part of normal life. When anxiety is becoming part of an everyday life inhibiting us from living life with ease, calm and happiness it is something that needs to be attended. Anxiety is becoming an increasingly major health issue in our modern society. With the increased exposure to social media, news sources and remote work, anxiety becomes a health issue more than ever. There are different types of anxiety from social anxiety to more specific phobias. In Chinese Medicine, anxiety taxes the heart first then the kidney and the lungs. Anxiety like any other stressor is the root cause for premature aging and inflammation in the body. It deteriorates the health of the internal organs. Myriads of aliments from insomnia to tendonitis and much more are associated with it. Research showing that is it more prevalent in people that experienced childhood trauma or societies that are under stress. Western medicine has no sustainable solution to it and only reliant on medications that typically comes with the price of other unwanted side effects. More and more people are turning into eastern healing methodologies are offering very accessible ways to heal it and prevent it. Understanding what causes it and how eastern medicine looks at it will also gets you to understand how to go about healing it and how minor changes to your lifestyle can improve dramatically your health. In summer there's an emphasis on heart health in Traditional Chinese Medicine. What does it mean and what practices (physical and mental, or as we say in Chinese Wai Dan or Nei Dan), will support a healthy heart? The heart is the fire element in Chinese Medicine. We want this fire to warm us up and nourish our internal organs, but too much fire will create inflammation and multiple medical problems. Issues with the heart can be physical, like an issue of high blood pressure, low energy or multiple other heart issues. Or it could be how we process life emotionally. Different people process life events differently than others. Emotions like anxiety, anger and over-excitement will generate too much fire leading to imbalanced fire condition. Indifference and depression is on the other side of the spectrum. Can we change our emotions using certain Qi Gong techniques? Can we heal any physical heart issue we suffer from for a long time? In this FREE Qi Talk we will investigate this subject more from a Qi Gong and lifestyle perspective. If you're curious to learn more, listen in!
Did you know that heart issues and heart attack is the number 'two' killer in the US? Understanding the energetic role of the heart from a Chinese Medicine perspective will help us to adopt a lifestyle that will heal and protect the most important organ in Chinese Medicine. The heart is the fire element in Chinese Medicine. It is considered the ruler, like a benevolent and enlightened monarch it is all knowing and ever present, sharing wisdom for the good of the whole. Your Fire aspect represents fulfillment, the full extent of our expansion, personal development and maturation. The Heart also houses your spirit through the distribution of blood in the body. The flow of blood nurtures the body and serves as a vehicle for communication. It permeates the body with consciousness sensation and feeling. When the fire in your house is balanced it will warm your house (like fire in the the fireplace). Balanced fire in the heart means your spirit is strong this reflects in a person emotional expression, presence of mind, the brightness of the eyes and the lustrous complexion. It will also reflect in high ability to focus, not to be distracted. When fire is out of balance it will burn your house and turn things into ashes. It will dry your lungs, creates inflammation and wreak havoc. At the same time, not enough heart fire can lead you into depression. Some of the side effects of an imbalanced heart will be incessant talking, disturbing dreams, insomnia, easily overheating, hot flashes, craving stimulation, restlessness and more. In this Qi Talk, we investigate this subject more deeply and offer methods and lifestyle practices to heal the heart!
What is the secret to staying young and vital with the gift of maturity -- wisdom and life-experience? In my free Qi Talk tomorrow we continue our discussion on the Taoist view on aging (or not aging!) As you mature in body and mind, you become wiser, more confident, increasingly tolerant and resilient. Yet, instead of celebrating these attainments, Western thinking often represents age as something be to feared and fight. The word 'anti-aging' in our language is taken from the allopathic western medicine approach that in its philosophic roots is engaging in a war with 'the other' (like anti-biotic, anti-acid, etc). This negative over-arching perspective may leave you feeling less visible or valid as time passes. In response, increasing number of people are turning into eastern philosophies and medicine to enjoy a more holistic approach to aging. The polarity between opposites (young and old, Yin and Yang) in Chinese medicine and Taoist thinking in not to be fought against and resist one over the other, but to be understand the depth behind the two in order to create harmony and balance, and eventually live a happy, healthy and long life. A path to longevity is perhaps Taoism's greatest gift. A normal human lifespan is considered to be 100, with 150 years representing a long life. Skilled Taoists have been reporting to live beyond 200 years. Over millennia, Taoist instructions on how to age well and live long life have been recorded. including guidelines in the areas of: Diet Purification Exercise and breathing Herbs Sexual energy Aging is generally attributed to the exhaustion of fundamental substances within the body, such as Qi, Shen and Jing (kidney essence), as well as the degeneration of organs and accumulation of metabolic waste sources such as poor diet and lifestyle practices. A core element is the depletion of kidney essence, which manifests itself as fatigue, loss of bone density, shrinkage of sexual organs and thining of the hair, to name few. If you're curious to learn more, enjoy this Qi Talk podcast!

Our life today is similar to our life two weeks ago in terms of our sleep pattern, eating habits, energy levels, thought pattern, etc... What would it take to change the status quo in order to have a calmer day, a more creative one, deeper sleep and a more energetic life? When we are going through our day, our brain is in auto-pilot, processing information based on its ingrained habit patterns. The brain in the default state is -- what we call in Western science -- in high Beta waves. As we experience a mild chronic stress throughout the day we are in no place to change our routine and thinking outside of the box is somewhat limited. In order to 'call back your original Qi/energy' and create a sustainable change to your livelihood, you need to do two things: 1. Create more energetic space: get out of the Beta brain wave state at least once every day. This will get you out of that mild stress and bring you into the present moment. When you're not in Beta brain waves, you can see things in a different light (because you're not in survival mode anymore) and have the energy required for step number two. 2. You need to actively detect when your mind is occupied with energy that is not supporting your well-being and change your habit. And then change your mind habit pattern There is much more to say and explain and how Qi Gong is related to all this. If you're curious, enjoy this complimentary Qi Talk!
You don't have to be a health fanatic to be healthy happy and successful. You can set yourself up with just a few habits to ensure a healthy long life! According to research few of the most important things to incorporate in your life to ensure this: healthy sleep, reduce stress and a solid morning routine. The interesting thing is that when we have a good solid morning routine, it allows you to take this energy into a day full of energy and positivism. If you go to bed feeling accomplished and content, your sleep is going to be healthy as well. The morning is the birth of the day and like a birth of a baby where the first few years are most important to the character and health of the child, the first hour in the morning will determine the flow of the day. So what are the Six Steps for a solid morning routine through which you can experience energy and positiveness the whole day (even if you woke up grumpy)? :) Before I reveal them, let me just say that a morning routine can take between 5 minutes and one hour, and it really depends on the person and how much time you have. It can fluctuate in terms of the time allocation, but keeping it close to the same amount of time, daily is best. 1. Breath 2. Presence 3. Water 4. Movement 5. Visualizations 6. Inspiration If you'd like to hear more about this, listen to this complimentary Qi Talk!
We rarely think about the health of our internal organs as something that can affect our state of mind, our sleep and our physical vitality. However, in Chinese Medicine, the harmonious nature in the way our internal organs function plays a huge role in the quality of our life and our longevity. Just last week, I talked with a friend who used to wake up every night at 4 am and couldn't get a long, healthy sleep. My recommendation for some liver support supplements finally helped him to not wake up at 4am for the first time in years. The liver also determines your joint health and emotional swings. Have you ever noticed how emotional swings are more emphasized in people who drink alcohol, or that are drunk? Alcohol puts a lot of stress on the liver and that compromises the ability of the liver to smooth out the emotions. Every internal organ is related to a different physical, emotional and spiritual aspect of our being. That's why healing the internal organs and the harmony connections between them means treats many, many root problems in the body, mind and spirit! I get a lot of emails from subscribers having a hard time incorporating a mind-body practice like Qi Gong into their daily routine. When it comes to incorporating new routines (and changing existing), our brain is our own worst enemy. We don't seem to have time, we are tired, we doubt the practice... Our brain comes up with with anything and everything to have us not change our routine. It seems very hard to change the habit pattern of the mind! So what movements in Qi Gong will help your liver work better and what are the effects of it focusing on this important internal organ? This is the topic in this Qi Talk - enjoy!
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to be very lucky in life and others seem to have a lot of struggles? Is luck a type of energy that can be cultivated and practiced? Try to bring into your mind a time where you felt lucky or that things were going surprisingly well. That moment when you feel that progression and growth in your life is going in the right direction. I'll tell you a secret -- it really didn't come out of the blue and you and your energy had everything to do with it! Luck is a type of Qi that can be cultivated, understood and practiced. In fact it's a huge subject underlining our aspirations, desires, reactions and expectations. One thing I know for sure is when I started to practice Qi Gong and Meditation regularly things in my life started to go more smoothly with less effort. It seems like my heart wishes and desired are finally being heard by 'someone'. Blessings and gifts started to show up for me. We are the ones that can open the door into our own luck or be the obstacle from allowing blessings to come into our lives. Your own openness to what you want and bringing it into your life also relates to the smoothness of Qi that runs in your mind and body. That's the job of the liver -- the organ that is related to the Spring season. In this Qi Talk Podcast we will chat about how to be more lucky in life and how you can intentionally cultivate LUCK!
How are you feeling lately? Are you feeling more energetic or there are more health problems coming up to the surface? Springtime can bring both... @hat are the healthiest practices this season to keep healthy? This is the subject of tomorrow's complimentary Qi Talk! Spring days are called Fa-Chen, meaning: to emit, to release, to give birth to, to aim and give away. An outward movement, so to speak. It is time to be gradually more active, physically and intentionally mentally. Yet, relaxed, not tense or stressed. It is very healthy during this time of year to start take action toward our goals and our vision to our future selves. This will be very healthy for the liver! As good as we nourished our kidneys in the winter, our liver -- the active organ of the spring -- will be strong and protect us in the Spring. The active organ pair this season is the liver and gallbladder. Which means that we have to protect them this season. Physically, the liver protects our eyesight, our tendons and ligaments. It helps with blood flow and digestion. Spiritually, the liver helps with mental clarity towards our direction in life while giving us mental flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances. Problems with liver will be associated with eyesight problems, migraines, stiffness, change resistance, being short tempered, angry and moody. In this complimentary Qi Talk we chat about what practices will support a healthy liver and a smooth healthy transition between Winter to Spring!
Have you ever wondered how Qi Gong can help in cold season with stiff joints, winter blues or promote better circulation? Our body is in a constant connection with the environment, temperature, air pressure, plant life etc. In every season, Qi Gong can help balance your energy based on what your body and mind are exposed to. This is why I like to teach seasonal Qi Gong. It acknowledges our connection with the environment and helps us get back into balance with the earth and universe that we are a blessed part of. Do you feel winter blues? Do your joints and bones get stiffer or your lower back feels more achy? In this Qi Talk we will chat about the best practices for winter to balance you!
Sometimes world events can take an emotional and energetic toll on your health and well being. This one is sneaky! Even just getting upset while reading the news can be draining energetically, no matter what your viewpoint is. It's not bad to feel anger or sadness over things that are happening. But, we need to know how to transform that negativity! Otherwise we create internal stagnation. In Taoist thinking, yin and yang are always in state of flow and transformation. Flowers can't grow and bloom without the storm that came before. Peace is achieved after we learn the heavy price of war. Happiness cannot be experienced if we don't know what sadness is. Chaos will always bring new calm and order. That's how things flow into each other. And will continue to do that in all aspects of life. The question is how do we become masters at transforming energy! When we are in resistance to what comes our way we are not allowing this natural transformation to occur. This is about understanding how to improve the quality of your Qi which is related to your emotional state. How to get into calm from chaos! Working on the three factors in Qi gong practice is what we discuss in my FREE Qi Talk!
Have you ever wondered why the movement of Qi Gong are so good for you and elicits such a strong healing response? I remember my first introduction to Qi Gong, I was participating in a day long workshop and before we started the teacher invited some members from the crowd that were practicing Qi Gong for awhile and they shared their healing stories. I won't forget the woman that had stage 4 cancer who doctors gave 6 months to live -- and in three months of a certain Qi Gong practice she healed herself...in three months, and COMPLETELY! There were many other stories similar to this. I was beyond intrigued and looked forward to understanding what creates such a strong healing response? My journey began! Do you know why Qi Gong and no other forms of movement creates such a big impact on our health? What it is in the practice that we can associate with what seems like miraculous healing? In this Qi Talk we will chat about the elements in our practice that are associated with this healing response!
Since I just came back from a vacation where I was surrounded by nature all of the time, I wanted to talk about an interesting Taoist practice that is very healing. This one very interesting practice is about enhancing life and your energy level, and has to do with absorbing Qi from the environment. Does this sound weird? Can you imagine if you could tap into the energy of the sun or the ocean? We are always surrounded with abundant of energy, yet often feel isolated and separated from nature. At the same time, we do sometimes feel the energy of our surroundings. Remember a place where you felt good or other places that felt not nourishing to you. Like maybe a beautiful plaza in the center of town where you felt good or on a top of a hill where you felt energized. In this Qi Talk we will chat about how to start the process of this ancient practice of harnessing energy from nature as a way of creating stronger mind body and spirit!

And here may be the secret of how not to lose steam on your New Year's resolution. Do you find the New Year's resolutions boring or not exciting after few months or even weeks? Would you like to not lose steam so quickly? The secret lies in the difference between these two terms. It is related to the heart energy. Try to close your eyes and dream of where you'd like to be right now. Where -- in this moment --- will you feel good, joyful, happy and playful? You see, dreams shouldn't be boring and working to get them should be joyful too! How do we go about it? In this Qi Talk we chat about the difference between New Year resolution and Manifesting your dreams.

We are offering an Early-Bird discount of $10 off until 11:59PM tonight (Sunday), click here to join us! First off, Happy New Year! We made it...these past two years we all experienced a lot of changes and shifts in our lives based on the dramatic world changes that were happening. This is what we call: life circumstances. We have not invited these changes in, but, they appeared in our lives. For example this pandemic, no one wanted it, but its here with all the changes that it brings. In Chinese language and culture these are times to be extra alert, cautious and at the same time creative, because there is a great opportunity to use this time to shift one's life for the better. This is the best way to realize powerful change -- when you tune into the energy of what is going on around you connect to your true desires. This time of year in Taoism is a time for contemplation, connecting with one's truth. It is a time when we are closer to our spirit self, because Yin energy is ruling. It is also time to store energy, go slow, self nourish by being with our loved ones. Through the process of self-reflection and self-nourishment you can find your power and desire for growth and what lies ahead. When planning a vision for who you desire to become -- or what we call today a new year's resolution -- there is a lot to be cautious of. We all know how it goes, people starting to work on their resolutions for couple of months/weeks/days and then they quit. Or they don't find happiness and satisfaction in their achievements. This topic is very big and we can't cover it all in here. In this complimentary Qi Talk we chat about the 3 mistakes people do when deciding on a new years resolution and how to avoid them, enjoy!
NOTE: We are running a New Year's Special 25% discount through Jan 8th when you subscribe to my Online Qi Breaks Qi Gong Learning Platform! Click here for more information. In this week's Qi Talk we continue our discussion about tips for how to manage your energy during the Winter, specifically focusing on diet. Diet is so important because the food you put into your body generates specific energetic (a.k.a. Qi) reactions and generation leading to different conditions. For example, eating lots of refined sugar causes your Qi to be depleted while eating pears (especially as a pear soup) causes your Lung Qi to be strengthened. We discuss this and much more in this week's Qi Talk, I hope you enjoy!
This Week's Special Offer (click here): 50% off of Healthy Spine and Lower Back One Hour Healing Session! This amazing healing practice set is designed to promote movement in your spine and heal your lower back, while boosting you Kidney Qi. Don't miss this special offer! It's been raining a lot in Northern California over the last few days. We need this water as we are in a severe drought. What can water teach us about problem solving and living a more meaningful life? In Chinese Medicine, water is one of the five elements that all things are made out of. Our body is at least 70% water. Water symbolizes relaxation and calm -- think about how you feel when looking at the ocean waves or even just showering. Water is the most powerful element, moreso than fire -- water puts down fire. It corrodes iron until crumbles to dust. It washes away earth and finds it's way through rocks and saturates the atmosphere so that winds die. Water conquers by yielding, it never attacks, but always wins the last battle. The man that embraces the qualities of water is distinguished for his humility, he acts from a place of non-action and conquers the world. What qualities of water one can embrace to succeed and change the outcome of life circumstances? This Qi Talk focuses on on how to liberate ourselves from the old patten of thinking/feeling through the energy of water.
This Week's Special Offer (click here): 50% off of Healthy Spine and Lower Back One Hour Healing Session! This amazing healing practice set is designed to promote movement in your spine and heal your lower back, while boosting you Kidney Qi. Don't miss this special offer! This Qi Talk was recorded on Winter Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere, the shortest day of the year. In Traditional Chinese Medicine today is the most 'Yin' time of the entire year. This is a very special time for absorbing universal energy as this time of year generates a lot of power potential because of the strong diametric opposition within the Earth. Yin energy is extremely powerful -- like the power of water that always wins in the end. In the darkest of times one sees the light ahead very clearly. There are special and specific practices in Qi Gong that are designed to enhance your ability to use this time for cultivating Yin energy. How can we best use this time and ancient practices to harness the most amount of energy in this time? We will answer this and many other question in this Qi Talk!
Last week we had a very powerful and engaging Qi Talk about the breath. I was impressed with all of the questions asked and decided to devote another talk to this VERY important subject. Like we said before, from all of the various mindfulness practices, the one place to start -- if you would like to change the state of your body and mind -- is through breathing exercises. The breath is happening involuntarily, meaning you don't have to breathe yourself -- the body does it on its own. Your breath is controlled, like many other involuntary mechanisms by the reptilian brain. This ancient part of the brain is responsible for our emotional fight-or-flight trigger response, usually, as well as many involuntary bodily functions. However, you can voluntarily change the breath unlike any other involuntary mechanisms in the body. Because of this, breath is the entry way to the subconscious mind! Last week we realized that not only is there an important role to exhalation and inhalation -- the Yin Yang of breath -- but the breath's rhythm and force can change the energy of your mind and body. Inhaling from the nose or mouth can influence, as well as where you are breathing into the body and focusing your energy. This is a huge topic with many variants, that's why there are literally THOUSANDS types of breathing patterns. Understanding the breath is understanding how to change your mind and body at any given moment based on the energy you need! What does Qi Gong have to do with breath and how does Qi Gong hold even more benefits than breath practice alone? This is the subject of this complimentary Qi Talk.
Do you know which organ in your body is housing the most healing powers? and how to strengthen it? In this Qi Talk we go over one final aspect of Wei Qi (Guardian Qi) boosting and summarize this topic related to bulletproofing our immune system. This last talk in a four-part series on immunity relates to a special internal organ that has a lot to do with your healing power. Our kidneys! When you're sick laying in bed, the kidneys are the one to slowly wake up, like a quiet giant inside of you and take things under control. Your ability to heal slow or fast depends on how much energy is in your kidneys. We will talk about strengthening immunity by understanding how Qi Gong and how Chinese Medicine sees Health and Well-being through the kidney system. How can we support our kidney function and what depletes it? In addition to learning through this Qi Talk, the best way to practice "Immune system strengthening" is to come to Thursday noon class or practice with the recording. Thursday class at noon PDT throughout the Fall season.
In transition season, Spring and Fall the body adjusts to different atmospheric values, like temperature, pressure, wind, oxygen levels, pollen and so much more. Specially in Fall season we want to strengthen our guardian Qi (Wei Qi) to combat colds and flu. How can you strengthen your internal resistance to outside pathogens? Qi Gong practitioners and yogis show us that there are natural ways in which we can do that. I clearly remember how my own health level changed after starting to practice these Wei Qi -- or Guardian Qi -- practices. Some of these practices I am sharing on our Thursday classes at noon throughout the Fall season - see my website for more information Qiwitheli dot com. In this FREE Qi Talk I will share some techniques and tips to support your health in this fall season transitioning into winter stronger and with good health. For those of you who are serious about learning a powerful Taoist protocol specifically designed for bulletproofing your immune system there's a special offer just for you in this recording!
Transitions are times where energy can get stuck or stagnant -- especially here in the Northern Hemisphere Fall season. Think about transition between work and being home with your loved ones. Do you take stress from work life into your relationship? Transitioning between day and night is also a time that may be challenging to some. The difficulty to "turn the mind off" and sleep soundly. Recently, with the new Pandemic reality lots of people work from home too. There are recent studies confirming that wellbeing is in decline for most who work from home. The boundaries starting to blend between work and personal life. Staring at the computer more hours a day where even a meeting is done through the computer. In this Qi Talk I will share simple energy techniques you can do for 2-3 minutes to be better in creating transitions and living a healthier life. We are also going to talk about how the special Qi Gong for Lungs, Immune System and Stress Relief sequence we started in our online classes helps us with this!
Last week we laid out the three keys to change mind patterns (a.k.a. Your Personality) and this so heavily influences your health, happiness and longevity. This week we will go into Part 2 of this discussion -- how to set yourself up so that you are successful in attempting to do this highly important work! Why is changing your mind and habit patterns so important? Well, how we are in life is based on your energetic vibration, or said more simply the make up of your thoughts beliefs and feelings. If we want to change anything in our life for the better we need to change our vibration to match the energy of life we'd like to attract. In this FREE Qi Talk we are going to talk in more detail about how the practice of Qi Gong will help you make breakthrough shifts in your health and well-being.
What is the first question any Chinese doctor will ask you when you visit them with any health issue? (more and more western doctors now will ask you that too)? How's your sleep? Remember those days when you were young and your sleep was so deep that even the voice of your mother calling your name did not wake you up? What top sleep researchers are finding today that insufficient sleep (7-9 hours) a night, will not only affect your energy levels, focus, creativity and memory function, it will also age you much faster! For example, your immune system shuts a staggering 70% of its activity with less than 6 hours of sleep. Those are the same cells that fighting cancer tumors and other diseases... The link between cancer and sleep is so strong nowadays that the World Health Organization declared any night shift job as a probable carcinogen. Without a consistent good night's sleep, digestion function will suffer, your heart will be at risk and your hormone system will get out of balance. In fact, for men testosterone level drop by half (!) with less than 6 hours of sleep. We also know now that sleep medications and alcohol causes even more harm as they don't allow the brain to go into the deep sleep stage which is essential for your brain and body to recuperate. In Chinese Medicine, we look at sleep from a different lens and we heal sleep imbalance naturally. I worked with quite a few cases of insomnia with great success in my private practice. Even though getting back into childhood deep sleep sounds so far to you or elusive. It is within reach. In this Qi Talk we discover how we see sleep in Chinese Medicine and how to restore a good night's sleep!
How can we get out of our habits? Change our old routines? How can we secure the future we wish for? Well, in Qi Gong we say that you are creating your future every second of the day. By the thoughts and emotions your mind is producing. Don't get me wrong, of course we cannot control outside circumstances. But, the way we respond to life's events will determine our future. More than this, the way we FEEL about the future, will shape it for us, most certainly. So how come there are things I want in life that I don't get, and old habits that I struggle changing? The way that we react to life is usually the work of the subconscious mind. In other words, we are running on Auto-pilot 96% of the time. And this is a good thing! Otherwise, you would have had to learn how to drive every-time you get into the car. You'd have to re-learn things that you already know. But, on the flip side (remember there's yin and yang), today you are creating what you created yesterday. And this why people creating the same relationships, similar job situations they have in the past ... in the future. They feel stuck in a pattern! So, how can we override the subconscious mind when we need to? One of the most powerful tools in Qi Gong practice is what we call Nei Gong (internal practice i.e. thoughts, breath, emotions) that is paired with with Wai Gong (external practice, i.e. the physical movement of your body). We can tap into the power of re-shaping our future by working with Nei Gong and the heart. In this Qi Talk we discover how we can mainfest into our life what we want with the idea of Wu-Wei (effortlessness) in Chinese Medicine!
Do you know how many thoughts you are thinking every day? Research found that every day an average person has over 70,000 thoughts! What is even more interesting is that 85% of an average person's thoughts are fear-based and negative. Self-criticism, anger, jealousy and fear are the most common themes. Buddhists say that the root of this comes from the misconception that equates 'having' with 'being'. Scientists say that this is an evolutionary mechanism that allowed our ancestors to look out for danger and survive. Living in fear of being eaten, back in the days when there was a constant survival threat, payed off. We know that negative thoughts are not good for health, healing, creativity, self confidence and living a happy long life. So how to go about it? Can we change the way we are built? In this Qi Talk we discover one special easy practice cherished in eastern cultures that can answer that.

Our modern life is full of challenges and moments of frustration, judgement or misunderstanding. No one likes that feeling of chaos or un-clarity. Sometimes our struggles lead to growth and expansion and sometimes to contraction and caving in. Is there a way to secure growth and winning at all times? From the Qi Gong point of view; life is cyclical, day and night, bright and dark, full and empty, chaos and clear, two sides which play the game of our daily experience which known also as yin and yang. They transform into each other and they are essential to the flow of energy. YES! That sense of energy we all seek. How can we embrace and trust this process? In this Qi Talk talk (the 2nd out of this series of 5 talks addressing the subject of energy depletion) I'm going to talk about how to turn a rocky road into a magnificent flight. And downfalls into opportunities.

You know the feeling of starting your day and feeling like you carry heavy weight with you -- the muscles are sore, your head is not clear, and all you want is just to rest? Your body is a marvelous factory of energy and it needs a very specific kind of maintenance. Qi Gong has the almost magical ability, to replenish your energy and build an energetic reservoir for you to pull from when you need it! The Heart, specifically, is an endless source of energy when your emotions, body and spirit are in alignment. This week we focus on energy cultivation from the Heart (the current season we are in and organ system we are focusing on for the next six weeks) more specifically as a source of infinite energy.

We all know these days when nothing seems to be working. The feeling of frustration, anger or disappointment arise and we cannot see the light in the end of the tunnel. In these moments, the Chinese will say that your Qi is stuck and your heart is confused. You see, the heart can see see as far as the meaning of life, and when it loses this feeling it becomes confused and its energy loses its rhythm and direction. In my free Qi Talk this week we will talk about how to transform the state of the heart from stagnation to flow, from fogginess to a clear view of ourselves and our life.

Have you ever woken up on the wrong side of the bed, or woken up with lackluster energy? This week we focus on using Qi to turn our energy around. Today's stressors and environment around you can really contribute to the energy you take on, even if you're mindfully aware of what's going on around you. If you go to bed without clearing your energy and preparing for the next day, you can end up agitated, unmotivated, etc... This week in my weekly Qi Talk I share some really powerful, yet simple ways to reset your energy with what I call a Qi refocusing. Enjoy!

Qi Gong healers practice the same foundational techniques as everyone else, but they have practiced so much that they understand every move, breath, and thought behind the techniques. Through effort ("gong"), Qi Gong healers have gained a deeper understanding of the exercises and aimed this effort toward learning how to control Qi. Practitioners believe that to effectively emit Qi to help heal others, Qi Gong healers need to maintain their personal health. Therefore, they continuously practice self-healing Qi Gong to regulate their personal health. The practice of Qi Gong teaches that without self-healing, the Qi Gong healer's ability to heal diminishes as well as his or her own health. Practitioners further believe that diligent practice helps them progressively develop skills such as clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience, that can help the healer's diagnosis skills. In addition to their strong practice, Qi Gong healers understand Traditional Chinese Medicine theory (Qi, five-element, meridians, and other theory) and its applications. A healer uses this foundational knowledge in partnership with intuition to balance the patient's Qi. However, if a Qi Gong healer relies too heavily on theory, or too much on intuition, he or she won't become a great healer. Only those who find the balance do so. We will discuss this in my FREE weekly Qi Talk!
