Queen Camilla stepped in to give the speech and hand out the coins in the King's absence. The ceremony, which dates back to medieval times, is usually the first significant event the monarch undertakes during their reign. Saturday Mornings host Glenn van Zutphen and co-host, award-winning author Neil Humphreys are joined by Trishia Craig, VP and Senior Lecturer at Yale NUS on how her passion for mocktails started and how she's showing friends, students, and corporates a new way to celebrate with alcoholic-free drinks that are a multi-billion dollar business.  She also creates our very own “Saturday Mornings Show” mocktail which is: a little spicy, a tad British, notes of America, slightly irreverent, and rooted in SEA good times. 1 oz ginger simple syrup 2 oz Alcohol-Free gin (like Tanqueray 0.0) 1.5 oz fresh pineapple juice 1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice Scrappy's or Regan's orange bitters (optional) Trader Joe's (or others) chili lime spice salt for rim Fever Tree India tonic water  Put simple syrup, AF gin, juices, and bitters in an ice-filled shaker. Shake for 30 seconds, and pour into a glass neat or over ice. Rim the glass with the lime chili spice or shake on top of drink. Top with tonic water and garnish with a lime wheel and pineapple wedge.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Roots of Valentine's Day, Lupercalia and demon sex! Love is the strongest human emotion. The most important, powerful and energetically driven. It controls intent, it gives you purpose. It's incorruptible yet it's drives you blind. It's there, it's invisible, it's inside you and it never was. But unfortunately I must apologize for being the bearer of bad news but this is a day that sits on all our hearts. Repackaged and reintroduced to us as a holy day of celebration and love and roses. The roots of St. Valentine's Day are all but missed or forgotten. Every fucking year countless and unworthy souls spend and lie their asses off to get into your pants. Some of us manage to find love, some of us only find the empty and emotionless feeling of an orgasm. But that's not all; you dive head first into pagan, Grimm and sexaholic worship and laudation with zero knowledge that the very act you're engaging in is endorsing mephistophelian powers over you and your fellow paramour. Specially this of the same sex. Welcome VALENTINO 2! // FOLLOW @Los_cunados_Bulliez And VISIT US ON PARANOIRADIO.COM ☂️☂️☂️

Imagine waking up to a morning with clear thoughts and a body that's ready to leap out of bed - even after a night that included a few glasses of your favorite Cabernet. Sound impossible? Not anymore. My curiosity always gets the best of me, especially when it involves the cutting edge of health technology. That's why when I heard about today's guest Zack Abbott's quest to conquer the after-effects of alcohol with something as simple as a probiotic, I knew I had to get the full story. Picture this: A scientist working diligently in an HIV research lab, struck by a lightning bolt of inspiration. This isn't the beginning of a sci-fi movie; it's Zack's real-life journey as a revolutionary thinker who saw potential where others only saw a dead end. Zack's credentials are as impressive as his ambition – a PhD in Microbiology and immunology, paired with hands-on experience in clinical trial design, has armed him with the expertise to turn visionary concepts into tangible solutions. With the company that resulted from his aha! moment, ZBiotics, Zack is carving a new path in the health industry. Launching the world's first genetically engineered probiotic is no small feat, and the implications are massive. Not only has he opened up a new way to diminish the dreaded hangover, but he's also paving the road for a future where probiotics go beyond gut health, potentially transforming the approach to everyday wellness. In this episode, Zack and I delve into the science of probiotics like never before. We'll uncover the secrets behind genetically engineering these tiny allies to tackle acetaldehyde, explore the potential future applications of Zack's technology, and maybe even touch on how a classical art & archaeology background pairs with modern genetic innovation. The gang discusses two papers that look at fossils of the early whale group Basilosauridae. Specially, these papers describe the largest whale recovered from this group, as well as the smallest whale from the group. Meanwhile, Amanda has a lovely home, James has some whale facts, and Curt has some art critiques.   Up-Goer Five (Curt Edition): The friends talk about two papers that look at one group of big animals that breathe air but move in the water that are no longer around today. These papers are looking at different animals within the same group. The cool thing about both of these papers is that they talk about the same thing, but from different ways of looking at it. This is because one of these papers is about the biggest animal that people have found in this group and the other paper is about the smallest animal found in this group. This is a big thing because this is a group that today has gotten really big and the reasons why these groups get big has been something people are really interested in. These papers show that these animals were getting both big and small very early on in the group.   References: Bianucci, Giovanni, et al.
