This month Nia Charpentier and Pearl Wise welcome members of the cast of Knife Edge- the latest Big House Theatre Production. Their musical director Louise Wellby also tells about her own music based projects. Also in the studio is illustrator Steven Wilson and Ligaya Salazar, creative director of East London's Comic Art Festival. This show explores the different ways people use space in East London. We talk to two sets of Portuguese entrepreneurs bringing tastes, sights and sounds from the country, how a memorial has been created in Bethnal Green where many East Londoners died in a tragic accident during World Word II and how Eat Work Art are making derelict spaces into veritable community hubs for business and more. For this edition of East London's favourite arts and culture show, we team up with the Dalstonist paper and website to bring you the sounds behind their words. We talk to photographer Jan Klos about the people pulling your pints, Viktor Wynd takes us behind the scenes at his Museum of Curiosities, Amy Redmond gives us a big night out at Sink the Pink, artist Wilfrid Wood shares his passion for dogs and we hear some music by Andreya Traina and Mike Skinner.

This month we hear from an improv comedy group “Play it by ear”, find out more about Food Assembly who are making locally sourced food more easily accessible, we meet the cast of of Big House Theatre, made up of young people who have been through the care system, enjoy a live session by singer songwriter hattie whitehead and we re-run the Rising from the Dust audio documentary about night club founder and DJ, Newton Dunbar.

For this session we decided to record the show live from The Total Refreshment Centre. Presenters Ana Xavier, Nia Charpentier and Pearl Wise introduce interviews with Alexis Bondel from TRC, the organiser of Photomonth, Barney Thomas the founder of the magazine Wiley Badger and the first part of a radio doc about local music legend Newton Dunbar. This show features satirical cartoonists Modern Toss, improvised comedy, a bike kitchen, an urban medicinal meadow, a DIY workspace and a song dedicated to Leonard Cohen's 80th birthday.
