Today on the show we are sitting down with one of the largest guests I've had on to date! His given name is Gary McClain but we all know him as Gmac. Looking back through time (thanks to the socials) it seems Gary knew exactly what he wanted to do as a kid growing up here in Gainesville. Actually it would seem he had two interests, bodybuilding and entertaining. Now, decades later, Gary has created a life that nurtures both of these passions. Today on the show we have 2 ladies from the USTA 2.5 Haile Tennis Team who recently made a run at a National title in Arizona last month. They are the first Gainesville team in years to have made it to the National event. And what's more, this team was put together just 5 short months ago! Today on the show we are talking with the creator and Host of The Write It Down Podcast, Brooke Maratta! I have known Brooke since her days as a student at UF and have always appreciated her positive, upbeat vibe. She is, after all, a woman of great faith, but also has a witty, self-deprecating, sense of humor. Lastly, she will deny this but she is also a really good athlete! It made perfect sense to all that knew her back then that with her magnetic personality and a face for TV, that she was destined for stardom. But, as Lee Corso would say, “Not so fast my friend”. With the television industry changing so much, jobs were few and far between. Instead of sitting around and waiting for opportunity to knock, Brooke decided to create her own production using podcasting as her vehicle. With that, The Write It Down Podcast was born.
