Every year, households across the country make the decision to rent for another year or take the leap into home ownership. They look at their earnings and savings and then decide what makes the most financial sense. That equation will most likely take into consideration monthly housing costs, tax advantages, and other incremental expenses. Using these measurements, recent studies show that it's still more affordable to own than rent in most of the country. There is, however, another financial advantage to owning a home that's often forgotten in the analysis – the wealth built through equity when you own a home.Thank you for listening!

I created this podcast for Millennials In San Diego | Where Should You Live. My original intention was for this list to be 5 neighborhoods but as I started putting it together, I realized I needed to expand the list. As is, I have 7 neighborhoods.. There are so many amazing places to live in San Diego. These are 7 of my favorites specifically for millennials. I start out by breaking down the very best neighborhoods to live in or consider living in for millennials in the entire San Diego. I also mention the cost of living in addition to higher quality of life rankings than just about any other west coast city. I also talk briefly about our epic weather and climate. I hop straight into my list from there. Here is the topic guide: 0:00 Let's talk about being a Millennial 0:51 Getting more specific on lifestyle 2:54 Little Italy 4:14 North Park 6:18 Pacific Beach 7:42 The Gaslamp Quarter 9:20 Normal Heights 10:21 Ocean Beach 11:36 Hillcrest and Mission Hills 13:07 Close Out And Summary Alrighty, so those are going to be 7 neighborhoods I think are ideal for living if you are a millennial. To be honest, there are so many San Diego places to live that could be on this list. I picked the ones I like the most and the ones I am the most familiar with.
In this video, I am going to give you 13 things to know about living in San Diego if you are currently living or planning to live in San Diego. These are going to be 100% my opinion and represent my personal San Diego experiences. I've lived in San Diego my entire adult life, I know a thing or two about San Diego. Some of these are going to be the obvious stuff but some of the tips are going to be so secret, even the most local San Diegans should pay attention! Here is the topic guide: 0:00 Intro 1:30 Not all beaches 2:06 Mexican food 2:37 Cost of living 3:00 Weather 3:23 Earthquakes 4:02 San Diego Sports 4:45 Downtown San Diego and work 5:21 You need a vehicle 5:39 Transplants 5:53 Dogs in San Diego 6:05 Ron Burgundy 6:19 Military City 6:53 San Diego State Football and Basketball 7:38 Close Out And Summary Alrighty, so those are my 13 things you need to know if you are thinking about moving to or living in San Diego currently.
For this podcast, I came up with 3 reasons you should not move to San Diego. This wasn't easy. I've spent my entire adult life here. There are so many reasons I love living here, it was tough to come up with any reasons I would want to move or live here. That being said, I did the unthinkable and came up with a few. Reason number 1 might be an obvious one but it's going to be the Cost of Living. There's a premium associated living this amazing location but it's not the most expensive. This is where it gets even more interesting, in terms of quality of life rankings, San Diego blows SF and LA out of the water. People in San Diego are happy, at least most of us. What really drives up the cost of living though is housing. The median home in San Diego right now is at or around $750,000. If you include condos and town homes, that figure drops to around $660,000. Alrighty, so reason number 2 that might turn you off is going to be the weather. We have phenomenal weather, some of the best in the world but we do get rain. On average, we get about 266 days of sunshine a year. That crushes the us average which is at about 205 days a year but still we get our cloudy and even rainy days. Along the coast line, we get an overcast system starting in about May and sometimes lasting into July. We call it June Gloom. It's a thing. All in out weather is still amazing just don't expect sunshine every single day. And reason number 3 you might not want to move here is the public transportation system is not great. I mean stinks as in its virtually not existent. Just about everyone has a car or drives a car. San Diego is extremely spread out and owning a car is usually a must. All in, if you don't like public transportation and you like cars or trucks, this is the place for you. Here is the topic guide: 0:00 Intro 1:24 Cost of living 3:00 Weather 4:36 Public transportation 5:45 Close Out And Summary Alrighty, so those are the 3 reasons I could think of that someone would not want to move to San Diego. That being said, come on, there are so many places, we have free will to live anywhere, I guarantee you San Diego is one of the best.
In this video, I discuss the most common VA loan mistakes | avoid the headaches | pro tips. I don't mean headaches as if it is something wrong the VA borrowers are doing.
