This episode is our first time releasing a 100% solo episode! Today, Steph talks to us about her #1 tip that EVERYONE can do to kickstart a healthier lifestyle: prioritizing your mental health. We thought this was a perfect topic to close out mental health awareness month :)In this episode, Stephanie goes deep into talking about her history with fitness, being strict, creating high stress situations, overcommitting, needing to "do it all", and not processing her emotions/feelings/etc. All of this led to looking good, but 1000% feeling like shit (mentally, hormonally, nutritionally, energetically...). What finally got her on a path to being her healthiest self (so far), was therapy! She gives examples of some of her biggest lessons learned from her therapist, why seeing her therapist was the most monumental positive shift in her health, and why she is an advocate for everyone to go to therapy :)***Learn more about our 3mo Fitness Course hereLearn more abut our 3mo Nutrition Course hereand use code CARPEOMNIA to get 20% off either!Just want to subscribe to our newsletter? We are opening season 3 with Pam Moore. She is a badass ironman athlete, personal trainer, health and fitness writer, podcaster, and mom. Even though she completed one of the most difficult athletic challenges out there (twice), Pam shares how she actually struggled with disordered eating during that time. Pam tells us how she used her training to justify her food, and how her goals mainly revolved around weight loss. She then compares all of this to her evolved mindset today: a woman who focuses on how she feels, the amazing things her body can accomplish, and on the confidence she has no matter what stage of life (or time of day) her body is in. Overall, this is an incredible conversation in which Pam explains why weight loss shouldn't be your health goal, and how she herself found food and fitness freedom throughout her life.Check out Pam's Website: pam-moore.com!Connect with Pam on IG here!Follow her on Twitter here!Listen to her podcast here!***Learn more about our 3mo Fitness Course hereLearn more abut our 3mo Nutrition Course here and use code CARPEOMNIA to get 20% off either!Just want to subscribe to our newsletter?
