We explore how his perspective shifted from “fixing” physical problems to understanding the psyche-brain-organ connection, how GNM clarified and expanded his understanding of the nervous system, and why he encourages practitioners to personally experience the five biological laws before bringing them into their work. This episode also covers how Chris introduces clients to GNM, why his practice now attracts people ready to take personal responsibility, and how he uses hands-on care as “attention work” rather than symptom treatment.Find us on Instagram:Ashlee - @alchemywithashleeAbigail - @ajpuccioniOur personal websites:Ashlee - alchemywithashlee.comAbigail - abigailpuccioni.comWhere to find Dr. Chris Cole: Instagram - @dr.chriscoleSubstack - thelanguageofinnate.substack.com/

Tinnitus, sometimes referred to as ringing in the ears, is that annoying perception of sound that does not have an external source. It affects over 50 million people a year, and most doctors do not have a cure for it. While symptoms for tinnitus can vary from a constant ringing sound to buzzing or humming, these noises can become more than annoying for someone who's experiencing them.   Tinnitus can interfere with sleeping and concentrating, working and relaxing, and begin to take a toll on you mentally. Many people with long term tinnitus report having daily stress, headaches, and irritability, fatigue, dizziness, and memory issues. Many doctors try to find underlying causes for tinnitus such as earwax buildup or internal ear damage, but the vast majority only offer help to manage the symptoms. They suggest sound, antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds to reduce the emotional impact, or surgery, often with cochlear implants. But doctors do not address one of the main possible causes for tinnitus, which is nerve interference. Evidence, however, suggests misalignments in the neck or spine can result in nerve pressure that directly disrupts nerve signals to the auditory system. Nerve endings in the neck have connections to the hearing centers in the brain, and if nerves are pinched, normal signals are disrupted, causing inflammation, decrease of blood flow, and the potential for tinnitus. A Chiropractor named Dr. Chris McNeil, at Macomb Township Chiropractic, has successfully helped patients who have come into their office complaining about tinnitus. His office specializes in state-of-the art Chiropractic treatments that restore the normal alignment of the spine, to take the pinching and pressure off of the nerves that control the inner ear and hearing centers. Dr. Chris stated: "Tinnitus can be the result of underlying conditions",specifically "misalignments in the neck that cause nerve pressure". A recent patient named Phil received tinnitus relief therapy and treatments at Macomb Township Chiropractic. He complained that his tinnitus was taking over his life and he "couldn't think straight," and "couldn't do anything!" After a complete consultation and Chiropractic x-rays, Dr. Chris quickly noticed the multiple misalignments in Phil's neck that he believed were directly causing his headaches and tinnitus. With the help of regular Chiropractic adjustments and postural rehabilitation treatments, Phil reported after just six short weeks, his tinnitus was completely gone. So how exactly does a Chiropractor help tinnitus? At Macomb Twp Chiropractic they use specific and scientific Chiropractic rehab to realigns the spine using postural adjustments and traction to relieve any pressure on the nerves, as well as increasing blood flow to the brain and auditory system and improving overall nerve function.

Is Your Chiropractic Care Plan a Sales Pitch or a Health Strategy? Understanding the Difference | The Prime Podcast Have you ever left a doctor's office with a recommended care plan and felt a wave of skepticism? It's a common experience, especially in chiropractic, where the purpose behind a structured plan is one of the most misunderstood aspects of care. Patients often turn to social media forums, asking friends, "Does this seem right?" creating a massive gray area filled with confusion and misinformation. In Episode 343 of The Prime Podcast, Dr. Skip and Dr. Julie Wies pull back the curtain on this "taboo" topic. They explore why the concept of a care plan is so divisive and why clear communication between a doctor and a patient is the most critical factor for a successful health outcome. This episode is an essential guide for any patient who wants to feel empowered and confident in their healthcare decisions. The doctors break down the two fundamental philosophies of care you'll encounter: Symptomatic Care: The reactive, "quick fix" approach. This is for when you just want immediate pain relief for a headache or back pain and have no long-term goals. Vitalistic Care: The proactive, wellness-focused approach. This is for patients who want to address the root cause of their issues, prevent them from recurring, and achieve a higher standard of overall health. Using a brilliant "fruit salad vs. veggie salad" analogy, Dr. Skip and Dr. Julie illustrate what happens when a patient's expectations don't align with a doctor's standard of care. They discuss why a chiropractor who is truly invested in your long-term wellness will always recommend a plan, and why "just come in when it hurts" can lead to a cycle of recurring problems and the false belief that "chiropractic didn't work." Furthermore, they tackle the thorny issue of insurance, explaining why the best chiropractors are often out-of-network and why that should be seen as a green flag indicating a commitment to wellness over "sick care." KEY TAKEAWAYS Communication is Key: A successful healthcare experience depends on the patient and doctor being on the same page with their goals and expectations before care begins. Vitalistic vs. Symptomatic: Understand which philosophy your chiropractor follows. Are they focused on proactive wellness and fixing the root cause (vitalistic), or just reactive pain relief (symptomatic)? A Care Plan is a Standard of Care: A structured care plan is not a sales pitch; it is a doctor's professional recommendation based on your history, exam, and health goals to achieve lasting results. Don't Ask the Internet, Ask Your Doctor: If you have questions about your care plan, the most qualified person to answer them is the doctor who created it based on your specific case. Insurance Doesn't Dictate Health: The best healthcare providers often operate outside of insurance networks because they refuse to let a third party dictate a standard of care that is focused on sickness, not wellness.

The Glymphatic System is the brain's newly discovered waste clearance system. It acts like a highly specialized lymphatic system for the central nervous system, flushing out toxins and metabolic waste, including proteins like amyloid-beta, which are associated with Alzheimer's disease. The glymphatic system is most active during sleep and is powered by the rhythmic movement of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).Chiropractic care, particularly through its influence on the spine and nervous system, is theorized to have a direct impact on the function and efficiency of this vital brain cleansing process.1. Chiropractic Care and CSF FlowChiropractic adjustments aim to restore proper motion and alignment to the vertebrae, particularly in the upper neck (cervical spine). This area is crucial because:Dural Tension: Misalignment in the upper neck (subluxations) can create tension in the surrounding connective tissues, which are continuous with the dura mater (the membrane covering the brain and spinal cord). This tension can mechanically impede the optimal flow of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF).Optimal Fluid Dynamics: Since the glymphatic system relies on the pulsatile flow of CSF to exchange fluid and clear waste, ensuring the craniocervical junction (where the head meets the neck) is functioning optimally is essential. By reducing tension and restoring alignment, chiropractic adjustments may help maintain the natural, unimpeded "pumping" action required for efficient CSF and, thus, glymphatic movement.2. Impact on Autonomic Nervous System BalanceChiropractic care is well-known for its ability to influence the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), which controls involuntary bodily functions. The Vagus Nerve: The upper cervical spine is close to the brainstem and key areas of the nervous system, including the vagus nerve. Adjusting this area can help shift the ANS from a state of "fight or flight" (sympathetic dominance) toward a state of "rest and digest" (parasympathetic dominance).Better Sleep, Better Clearance: The glymphatic system is most active during deep, restorative sleep. By promoting a parasympathetic state, chiropractic adjustments can help patients achieve deeper, higher-quality sleep, directly enhancing the hours dedicated to crucial brain detoxification.3. Benefits for Overall Brain HealthBy optimizing CSF and supporting the nervous system, the benefits of combining chiroThis podcast welcomes your feedback here are several ways to reach out to me. Healing is definitely NOT about pushing harder, cracking through tension, or forcing pain out. Healing begins with listening—listening to the body's whispers, to the stories held in our nervous system, to the stillness before transformation. Today's guest, Dr. Teri Meyer, is more than a chiropractor with a master's in neuroscience. She is a healer attuned to the subtle language of the body—a quiet revolutionary who bridges science and soul, helping people move from pain into harmony, from contraction into expansion. In this conversation, you'll hear how pain and posture reveal hidden stories, how the nervous system carries both trauma and possibility, and how opening the body expands our capacity to receive life itself. We talk about: Letting go versus holding on Identity shifts and the “messy middle” of change Embodiment practices—from screaming into a pillow to hugging it softly—that create space for healing The unexpected gifts of pain, and how contraction always precedes expansion This is not a conversation about fixing. It's more about gently unfolding. It's about remembering that our bodies know, even when our minds resist. For anyone “walking through the fog,” this episode offers not a quick answer, but gentle companionship on the path back home to yourself. As you listen, notice what lands in your own body. Where do you feel contraction? Where is there space? Stay with it. Healing begins here. In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Michael Guadagnino III—a longtime chiropractor, author of Fitness Over 50, 60, 70, and Beyond, and just an all-around guy who gets it when it comes to health, family, and purpose. Dr. G has been helping people get healthier for over 30 years, but what really stands out is his heart for people who feel like they've missed their chance to get fit or feel good again. Whether you're just starting, restarting, or pushing forward in your 50s, 60s, or 70s, this episode is full of real, practical takeaways. We talk about: Why he left a successful practice to be present for his kids How small changes and consistency lead to big results Why your age shouldn't define your fitness What inspired his book and how it's helping people take action The cool things he's built in his hometown—pickleball courts, walking paths, outdoor fitness gear—for adults who want to keep moving This one's for anyone who's ever thought, “Is it too late to start?” Dr. G says no way—and lives it every day.

In this episode of the Experience Miracles podcast, Dr. Tony Ebel addresses a critical and misunderstood topic: chiropractic care for children with hypermobility conditions like EDS, Down syndrome, and Chiari malformations. He explains why these children not only can receive chiropractic care safely, but actually need it more than typical children. Dr. Ebel breaks down how hypermobile joints create compensatory fixated segments that become subluxated, requiring specialized mixed-technique approaches. This episode is essential for parents who have been incorrectly advised by other healthcare providers to avoid chiropractic care for their hypermobile children.Key Topics & Timestamps([00:01:00]) - Why Hypermobile Children NEED Chiropractic Care More Than Others([00:03:00]) - Common Conditions: EDS, Down Syndrome, and Chiari Malformations([00:05:00]) - How the Brain Creates Compensatory Fixation in Response to Instability([00:07:00]) - Specialized Techniques Required: Tonal vs. Manual Approaches([00:11:00]) - Why This Care is Essential, Not Optional, for Genetic Hypermobility([00:12:00]) - Medical Doctors' Misunderstanding and the Harm of Avoiding Care-- Follow us on Socials: Instagram: @pxdocs Facebook: Dr. Tony Ebel & The PX Docs Network Youtube: The PX Docs For more information, visit PXDocs.com to read informative articles about the power of Neurologically-Focused Chiropractic Care. Welcome to Mind Over Matters, where we explore the science, stories, and strategies behind whole-person wellness. I'm your host, Dr. Aimee Harris-Newon and this week we're diving into a fascinating, often misunderstood form of healing: integrative chiropractic care. You might think of chiropractic care as just a quick back crack or something you only need when you're in pain. But what if I told you it can be a powerful tool to optimize your nervous system, improve immune function, reduce stress, support digestion, enhance mental clarity, and even promote better sleep? On this week' show, we'll take a closer look at how integrative chiropractic care is transforming lives by combining traditional spinal adjustments with a comprehensive approach to health that includes nutrition, lifestyle guidance, and collaboration with other medical professionals. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, fatigue, digestive challenges, or mental fog—or you simply want to feel more aligned with your body—this episode could open a new door to healing. We'll also explore how this field endured one of the most significant smear campaigns in modern medical history and emerged stronger, validated by science and supported by a growing number of collaborative healthcare providers. So let's get aligned, shall we?

He was appointed President of the College in 2021 and has been honoured to receive recognition from the profession over the years, including Chiropractor of the Year from both the New Zealand College of Chiropractic Alumni Association in 2012 and the New Zealand Chiropractors' Association in 2014, along with the College's Staff Member of the Year award in 2019.   The College is focused on delivering a world-class, evidence-informed chiropractic education that is grounded in the principles of chiropractic.
