Hailing from Nottingham, Those Once Loyal have been on quite the journey since last releasing music. One of the reasons being due to a revolving door of bassists, but this has now led to them finally having a solid line up. Since the release of their 2023 EP 'Relentless Cycle' they have played many shows around the Midlands area, something that has helped get their name out there and seem them play higher profile shows such as with Atreyu, Heart of a Coward, Attila, Rxptrs, High on Fire, Cane Hill and Kill the Lights. If all of this wasn't enough, they also landed a spot at the prestigious festival, Bloodstock Open Air, playing the Jägermeister stage in 2023. Now, they're back, and ready to unleash new music. Starting with a new single called ‘Glass Hands', out on April 11th, 2025, alongside a video. Glass Hands is a song that perfectly encapsulates the combination of modern hardcore bands with the driving aggressive riffs of 00's metalcore to create a song with a driving rhythm that blends both eras of metal together and shows how evolution and history can be one! Lyrically, the song uses themes of control and manipulation, to which lines such as "One day your influence will lose its hold. You'll never ever have control" Pertaining to the idea that egocentric control will lose its grasp in time. Pre-Save it on Spotify here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/thoseonceloyal/glass-hands We spoke to guitarist and backing vocalist, Oscar Gutkowski about the new single, and the journey that Those Once Loyal have been on to get to this point. How do secular Jewish Israeli millennials feel about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? How has coming of age during a series of wars, in which many of them fought, and the shadow of the failed Oslo Peace Process impacted this generation? Why have their attitudes changed so significantly since their parents’ youth, that they no longer believe in a two state solution and see Occupation as ‘reasonable if regrettable’? In this episode we talk to Dr Stacey Gutkowski, Senior Lecturer in Conflict Studies and Co-Director for the Centre for the Study of Divided Societies in War Studies, about her new book – ‘Religion, War and Israel’s Secular Millennials: Being Reasonable?'. Based on fieldwork, interviews and surveys conducted after the 2014 Gaza War, it offers a close reading of the lived experience and generational memory of participants and a new explanation for why attitudes to Occupation have grown increasingly conservative over the past two decades.
On this episode of SEPADPod Simon speaks with Stacey Gutkowski is a Senior Lecturer in Conflict Studies and Co-Director of the Centre for the Study of Divided Societies at King’s College London. Współzałożyciel i współwłaściciel Grupy DDB, stanowiącej jeden z największych zespołów specjalistów działających w branży marketingu i reklamy w Polsce, zatrudniającej ponad 350 osób. To był dodatkowy argument aby zaprosić go do naszej audycji. Da wam to ogrom satysfakcji i otworzy jeszcze więcej drzwi.
Date of Publication: 23/11/2018 Description: It is clear that religion is an important factor to consider when examining many conflicts around the world, but what about nonreligion? Last July, Dr. Stacey Gutkowski, senior lecturer in the DWS and Co-Director of Nonreligion and Secularity Research Network (NSRN), convened the annual NSRN conference, ‘World views in Worldview’, at KCL. This conference sought to drive further dialogue between scholars of critical religious, secular and nonreligion studies and showcase rich, empirical fieldwork from case studies across the world. In brining nonreligion and secular studies to the DWS, Dr Gutkowski argues that in order to understand conflict, one needs to not only look at individual experiences but also at what religious and nonreligious resources individuals draw on to help inform their ethical understandings and perceptions of the world. In this special edition of the War Studies Podcast, Dr. Gutkowski will introduce us to the NSRN, draw fascinating linkages between the studies of nonreligion and conflict that are highlighted in her research and lead us into the 2018 NSRN Annual Lecture, 'Secular Powers and Heretic Undercurrents', by Samuli Schielke, which will follow directly after our interview. Bio: - Dr Stacey Gutkowski is a Senior Lecturer in Conflict Studies and Deputy Co-Director of the Centre for the Study of Divided Societies at King’s College London. Prior to joining King’s she was an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of International Relations, University of Sussex; a Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict, Arizona State University; and a Research Associate with the Religion and Ethics in the Making of War and Peace Programme, University of Edinburgh. - Samuli Schielke is a Research Fellow at the Zentrum Moderner Orient in Berlin. His research interests include Islam, festive culture, subjectivity and morality, and migration and aspiration in Egypt. ______________________________________________ For more news and information on upcoming events please visit our website at kcl.ac.uk/warstudies.

Osoby, którym udało się wyjść z tarapatów finansowych często w kolejnych swoich przedsięwzięciach odnoszą sukcesy ponieważ potrafiły przekuć to swoje negatywne doświadczenie w swoją mocną stronę biznesową. Dzisiejszym moim gościem jest Dawid Gutkowski deweloper, fliper i właściciel dużego biura nieruchomości w Poznaniu. Swoje imperium biznesowe rozwinął od totalnego zera, a nawet milionowych długów do świetnie prosperującego biznesu deweloperskiego w zaledwie 4 lata. Ktoś może się dziwić jak to możliwe? 4 lata to naprawdę krótki okres. Duży sukces i duża porażka.
This week on the Heads 'N Tales podcast I interview Raeanna Gutkowski, who was a division-one athlete on the Marist College women's volleyball team until she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma after her freshman season. Raeanna and I both grew up in the town of Long Valley, NJ and attended West Morris Central High School at the same time. Osteosarcoma is a pediatric bone cancer that is often found in teenagers. Raeanna first knew something was wrong when she developed a nagging pain in her knee, especially when it was in full flexion (heel to butt). After trying to play through the pain, as most competitive athletes do, Raeanna finally went to the Marist Team doctor where they performed an MRI on her knee. What was initially thought to be a torn meniscus turned out to be a bone tumor that would change Raeanna's life forever. Raeanna was forced to undergo intense chemotherapy treatments and eventually had to have a portion of her femur removed (as seen in the Xray below). Unfortunately, Raeanna had to overcome what seemed to be endless complications that were a result of her treatment. After her first dose of chemotherapy she came down with an often fatal disease called typhlitis and had to have part of her intestine removed. Throughout the entire interview, I kept waiting for the turning point in her story for when her condition began to improve, but it just never seemed to come (truly jaw-dropping). I also had a few complications from my head surgery, but mine paled in comparison to Rae's. Download this episode to hear all the details, it is truly amazing to see how healthy and happy Rae is today after what she has gone through. Xray of Raeanna's Prosthetic Knee In addition to Raeanna's story of overcoming cancer, we also talk about her transition to life after sports and how she has found a new passion as a spin instructor. I took one of her classes after part-one of our interview at the New York Sports Club in Hoboken, NJ. It quickly became obvious why Rae was such a successful athlete and was successful in beating cancer. Her drive, passion and determination are contagious and I hope this podcast episode is another way to spread her mindset. We also discussed some of the great opportunities she has received because of cancer and some of the amazing people she has met and been able to help along the way. Specifically Raeanna talks about her friend Clayton who is currently fighting the same cancer she beat. Raeanna and her friend Clayton at Equinox's "Cycle for Survival" fundraiser. Lastly, Raeanna talks about an organization called "Teen Cancer America" who aim to help hospitals and healthcare professionals bridge the gap between pediatric and adult oncology care. Teen Cancer America aims to educate and support hospitals and outpatient facilities in the development of specialized units for this age group. The units are a place just for teens and young adults where the cancer experience is understood and the importance of living life through the cancer journey is nourished. Below is a video on their mission. Download Episode 32 : iTunes | Stitcher Permalink

Continued learning and a growing knowledge of all causal triggers (risk factors) is crucial to changing the course of chronic inflammatory periodontal disease through targeted care. Dental hygienists are overpaid if they do the bare minimum. One of the big mysteries of dental hygiene practice is how some hygienists are highly paid and some are not. Even people from the same class with the same grades have a per-hour discrepancy that defies logic. We bet there isn’t a dental hygienist reading this post who thinks they’re over paid. Most business today, including dental practices, are run using a factory assembly-line model. Active participation makes so much more sense. This means, as a hygienist there at least 3 (and probably many more) way to be active, productive and financially well compensated while making meaningful contributions to patient and more importantly your own health.Patti DiGangi, RDH, BS and Shirley Gutkowski RDH, BSDH are known for bringing their mid-western sensibility to today’s health issues with an eye towards the future.
