I'm ready. You're ready. You know who's not ready? The Royal Family and their numerous flunkies. Whewwwwwwww, let's discuss.
In this episode, we're right were we want to be. Meghan is in Cali out here giving rich lady vibes, dropping gems on the weekly podcast and continuing to prosper. Dame Judi Dench writes a letter, not sure why she wasted words like that. Meghan is profiled in Variety and finally, coming up Dec 6th Harry and Meghan will be the recipients of the RFK Ripple of Hope Award. They join previous awardees Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Desmond Tutu and Dr. Fauci. Make sure to find me on all the places and drop a rating on iTunes or Spotify. Thanks for listening!
Harry and Meghan are back to business and it's a good thing to see. Harry zoomed with with Well Child Award winners and collaborations with V!NG and Project Healthy Mind are underway. Prince Harry is a part of a high profile group suing the Associated Newspapers for gross violations of privacy among other things. Plus, you had a lot to say about ideas around reconciliation following the last couple of voice recordings. I give my take on the idea. are underway You can always send me your thoughts about recent events in a voice memo to sussexsquad@gmail.com. The Queen is buried, the mourning period is over and Harry and Meghan are back home in the States. So... what now? In this episode, I touch on some of the things we witnessed (in disbelief), uniform-gate, and why the bullying just doesn't work anymore. We also hear from Kai and LeDarius. If you'd like to share your thoughts for a future episode, send a voice memo to my email, state your first name and/or where you're from and send a 1-2 minute memo to sussexsquad@gmail.com. Welcome to the next episode! This is a bit of an 'emergency podcast' given the major events that have taken place this past week?? The Queen passed away! Coincidentally, Harry and Meghan just happen to be in Windsor, England at the time on their tour to support One Young World, The Invictus Games and Well Child. The 96-year old monarch died peacefully at home and the girlies in the fam are snatching up those new titles like Beyonce tickets! White refrigerators everywhere, because ... Whew. Chile. The. Ghetto. The tabloids, of course, decided that this was a prime opportunity to put a target on Meghan's back and that makes my soul RAGE. Truly. She's grieving, too. She deserves better and misogynoir is a very real problem. The next pod will be dropping pretty soon because there is still so much more to talk about. I want to hear your thoughts, also. Send a voice memo of your thoughts regarding the events of the past week to 'sussexsquad@gmail.com' & I'll try to include it in the next pod! Please keep your recording between 30-60 seconds. Find me on Twitter, Tiktok, Instagram, Youtube and Patreon. Thanks for listening.
In this episode I recap Harry and Meghan's involvement in the Platty Jubes. It was kept to a minimum, thank the good lord. It seems like envy came to the Jubes, too. The press tried to spin the topics the way they do, but the Sussexes still minded their business and carried on not giving a rip about the royals. The kids met Lizzie and then flew home! The freedom they have now is the freedom others wish they had.
Harry and Meghan have announced officially that they are attending the Jubilee, but will not make a balcony appearance. Well, we already knew Harry was going to the Jubilee. And it wasn't too far fetched that Meghan would also attend. But lots of people in the squad have OPINIONS! Also, apparently Willie doesn't want Harry, a Brit, stepping foot on British soil? The audacity of a busted up egg, I tell ya. Support and review the podcast if you dig it! Patreon: patreon.com/sussexset TW: @MeghanMood, IG: @sussexset
In this episode, I recap the Invictus Games, speak on the disaster tour in context of the larger scheme and talk about Pearl and Netflix's woes. Thanks as always for tuning in and have a great week! Patreon: patreon.com/sussexset TW: @MeghanMood, IG: @sussexset
In this latest episode, William's sloppy tongue gets in the way, Harry is very much NOT coming to the UK but he is going to The Hague. And is the Queen even okay??? Thanks as always for tuning in. Hey y'all. In this episode, I'm talking all about the NAACP Image Awards appearance. Harry and Meghan received the President's Award and they gave away the first NAACP-Archewell Digital Civil Rights Award. This year's recipient was Dr. Safiya Noble. Their impact and influence continues to grow in what is shaping up to be a busy year! Thanks for tuning in and for your continued support! Find me: Patreon, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, and Youtube. Love y'all!
In this episode, we're keeping up with the latest updates on Harry and other embarrassing royal family shenanigans.
In the past few days, we've witnessed the hypocrisy of the RF and British Press hit some new lows. In this episode, I discuss the hypocrisy right of the heels of the Ghislaine Maxwell verdict and the disgrace of Prince Andrew. Harry, someone who's only ever tried to do the right thing, is shot down and betrayed again. Karma always wins in the end, though.
In this episode, I'm talking about the BBC documentary, The Princes and the Press, as well as Meghan's latest victory against the Daily Fail and the ANP.
Talking about the appeal and what its true purpose is: smears and clicks. Meghan joins Auntie Ellen with the freedom the others wish they had. When mudslinging is all you have left, it's time to call it a loss. If you enjoyed this podcast, consider subscribing on iTunes and Spotify. Harry and Meghan have demonstrated, both separately and together, that they are true global citizens. They have friendships and special relationships with individuals and entities around the world and the world, in turn, appreciates their effort -- and it shows. This episode wraps up the Global Citizen event in NY and looks forward to Harry's Veteran's Day event in NYC next month. Thanks as always for tuning in. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quite the splash in New York as they prepare for their part in the Global Citizen Live event in Central Park. While there, Harry and Meghan visited 1 WTC, the World Health Organization, The US Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, PS 123 Mahalia Jackson School in Harlem and Melba's Restaurant. That's quite the schedule, but they have accomplished so much. True #Royals if you ask me. Here's my run down of it. (This was uploaded before the concert event. I'll upload an addendum afterward.) Relevant to the episode: Harry and Meghan contribute $25K to restaurant employee Covid relief fund. You can find Melba's Covid Relief fund here. You can watch Global Citizen Live here.
Prince William got dragged by the world. And it's the dragging he truly deserved. After the Euro Final, some players -- the black ones -- suffered racist abuse and William's decided he'd had enough racism ... except when it comes to making your sister-in-law's life a living nightmare, apparently. The statement was too little, too late, too hypocritical. The world decided he owe's Meghan Markle an apology. Thanks for listening. In this episode of The Sussex Set, I talk about the Meghan and Christian's appearance on NPR's Weekend Edition. Then I address the 2 pieces of "news" to come out of England, first the issue of the titles when Charles is King, then Will and Kate's umpteenth attempt to bully Meghan. Have they no shame? The answer to that question is 'no.' Lastly, I speak on the #CamillaTomineyIsALiar affair. Let's catch up!
So this week, episode explores recent events in the Sussex world. After the announcement of the arrival of Lilibet, some folks lost their damned minds -- over the name choice specifically. I touch on that and the silliness of it all. Also The Bench, Meghan's debut children's book, was released and she did what she had to do. Finally, we explore what "anti-fans" are as mentioned in the Refinery29 article that went around this week! Thanks for tuning in! And find me on Twitter, Instagram, Patreon or Youtube.
She's here! It was announced today that Meghan gave birth to a baby girl and they named her Lilibet Diana. They will call her Lili. Harry and Meghan have asked that instead of sending gifts, to please bless these 4 organizations linked below that mean a so much to them for the role they play in women and girls' lives: Girl's Inc. Harvest Home CAMFED Myna Mahila Thanks for listening!
The Eagle has landed in London to pay respects to Prince Philip. Prince Harry was very close with his grandfather and any loss of that nature is a toughie. Blessings to Harry in the lead up to his grandpa's funeral. We also learn that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will be remaining in California on the sound advice of her very qualified medical doctor. She'll be watching from the family room. All of the children crying about this development should consider eating another bag of salt.
In the weeks since the Oprah interview, we've seen a different side to all kinds of people. While some members of the royal family are trying to rewrite the narrative, people all over the world are reminding them that there is a record. It's called the internet, and the internet never forgets.
The Royal Family and British Press tried one last time to destroy Meghan's reputation - did you notice that it was JUST Meghan? And well, the world fought back. It was pretty amazing to see and a time was had by everyone. As for us in America, it's still F the monarchy. So Dear King George, we will NOT be back. Neither will Harry and Meghan. Love, America. On youtube episode, I included two tributes: one for Meghan and one for Harry and Diana. You can find my other edits here. If you enjoyed the podcast, give it a rating! Big Hugs.
We've been waiting for this. Their time to speak has finally come. If you enjoyed this podcast, please drop a rating on iTunes, ya?
In this episode, I discuss the wonderful news of Harry and Meghan's pregnancy. They announced their pregnancy on Valentine's day, just as Diana had done 37 years ago. The UK tabloids had a fit over it and have somehow created a brand new definition for the word privacy. Incan-fukkin-descent, indeed. The very next day, February 15th, they announced that they would be sitting down with none other than Oprah Winfrey in an interview. Gayle King has said that "nothing is off limits" -- this interview will be 90 minutes long. Soon after, there were reports of "the palace being fed up" with Harry and Meghan, saying there was "no way back" to the RF. As if... lol. Anyway, the tabs had a complete meltdown over that. Then Philip was admitted to the hospital. Finally, I discuss the events of Friday, the 19th. BP released a statement saying that Harry and Meghan would be removed from their royal patronages. Then twitter did its thing, dragging the Royal Family up and down the internet in the precise fashion they deserve. There's nothing more satisfying than pointing out the utter hypocrisy of Petty Betty and her people. I can assure you that Harry and Meghan aren't the problem here. They'll be fine. I'm not sure the British Monarchy will be, though. "Petty Betty and the Legion of Doom" is available everywhere. -- To find out more about how you can help those in Texas
In this episode, I discuss the incredible victory by the Duchess of Sussex and her legal team over the Associated Newspapers (and their sister publications). This company (and tabloids alike) made Meghan's life a living hell and they had no concern for her mental well-being or the health of her unborn child. To see her walk away in victory, with her hand held high and with her dignity intact, makes me so happy for her. Harry also recently won his lawsuit against the Daily Mail after they falsely claimed he had not bee in touch with the Royal Marines since his departure from the U.K. Well as it turns out, actions have consequences! Also, I talk about how black women were determined to see Meghan through her dark time in the royal family because we recognize those hurtful stereotypes that were applied to her. Racism is a vile disease and it should be eradicated. It is never okay. Find the previous youtube live chat here. You can find me on twitter and instagram as well as youtube. In this episode, I discuss how Harry and Meghan's moves have elevated them above the nonsense and negativity. Everything they said they would do, they have done and then some -- and they're only getting started. I'm recapping some the major events of 2020 and speaking on the brilliance that is Archewell. The superiority of it all! Thanks for tuning in as always. You know where to find me on twitter and instagram. In this episode I discuss similarities between Meghan and Diana based on the paralles seen in Season 4 of The Crown. Also I'm touching on the whole "Harry in the Hood" thing as well as Jason Knauf and KPs involvement in Meghan's letter. Whew, it's a lot. Let's discuss! Thanks for tuning in as always, in this episode I discuss the fact that Willie hid his COVID diagnosis, the royal family and their audacity to deny Prince Harry's request to lay a wreath -- -- and how Harry, Meghan and Archie won't step foot on the island anytime soon. And given what we've seen lately, how can you blame them? Also Archewell has a few new team members! Let's discuss! Find me on Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. To support the podcast, you can do so at Patreon or send a token through PayPal. Much love and keep shining. ✌️
Thanks for tuning in as always, in this episode I discuss Harry and Meghan's historic Time 100 Talks, Harry's British GQ conversation with Patrick Hutchinson on unconscious bias and how England's institutions (and the people involved in those institutions) are abusers who are now committed to using Harry and Meghan as their press punching bag now that they're in America. Meghan's trial is postponed, Archie is staying in America and Ingrid Sewer is still ugly. Harry and Meghan are the Keys to the Kingdom! They got all this money, but they're still living rent free in Karen and Kyle's heads. Whew, the ghetto, chile! Let's discuss! Want to support and help the channel? Folks are quick to call the Sussexes irrelevant, but they can't keep Harry and Meghan's names out of their mouths! They don't really want to compare the raw data, do they? Men lie. Women lie. The numbers don't. And let the record show, we can all spot a lot of differences. Let's discuss! FIND ME: Instagram: https://bit.ly/37izdcG Twitter: Somewhere ova tha
I'm back! Thanks as always for tuning in, friends! This episode is dedicated to Madeleine, Chef Celeste, Pamela and Ina. You guys are incredible and THANK YOU for your kindness. In this episode, I'm talking about some things I didn't get to talk about in September as well as some current events, particularly Harry and Meghan's new path and why Harry was never made to “fit in” the RF as it sees itself today. In my view, he's better for it. Ep 50 - "Room to Run" is available wherever you get your podcasts. If you want to support the podcast, join my Patreon at https://patreon.com/sussexset. Look at how Meghan keeps winning all she has to do is breathe and her name makes waves. I love the way Meghan and Harry are keeping their charities and initiatives front and center. They've recently given their time to the QCT, Baby2Baby, When All Women Vote and the 19th* News org. Not to mention Harry will be featured in the new Netflix documentary, Rising Phoenix. Booked. Busy. Unbothered. Whether you call her Meghan or Duchess, you'll always call her a winner. How can someone who just bought a mansion still live rent-free in so many people's heads? That's what Beyonce would call power. If you want to support the podcast, you can do so at my Patreon. We'd be happy to have you: https://patreon.com/sussexset Take care and until next time, peace!
In this episode, I'm discussing the CAMFED fundraiser as Sussex Squad seeks to help educate girls and change their paths and outcomes right alongside the Campaign for Female Education! Let's get #InspiredByMeghan and #InspiredByHarry. Also discussing the Travalyst summit and Harry's recent interview with Rashad Robinson, the President of the Color of Change organization. Finding Freedom dropped and the critics jumped straight into their feelings. And don't forget the 19th News summit that is happening this week! Make sure to support Meghan on 8/14 for her interview with the founder. Meghan will be asking the questions! If you want to support the podcast, you can find me on Patreon at patreon.com/sussexset. This week's podcast is discussing Harry and Meghan's most recent endeavors, as well as those in the near future, starting off with Meghan's keynote slot in the 2020 Girl Up Leadership Summit. I also get into the reaction to Harry's recent comments on addressing the wrongs of Britain's colonial past and the missed opportunity of the royal family. Are they ever going to address the elephant in the room? Minor updates with Meghan's lawsuit against the Associated Newspapers and her fierce protection of her friends' privacy from the Mail on Sunday. This week's podcast is highlighting the positive news of Harry and Meghan in this past month, including the Forces for Change award, Hanging with the Homies, Harry's Walking with the Wounded, and Meghan reaches out to Althea Bernstein of Wisconsin. I also get into the latest updates with Meghan's lawsuit against the Associated Newspapers and the revelation that she felt unprotected and silenced by the “institution” as she puts it. And in this light, it makes sense that they fled England. Big thanks to Dani for sharing Harry and Meghan's message with us following your amazing work on Archie Day! The future tried to get some sympathy and ended up getting roasted.
Well done to all of the ladies that made Archie Day the success it turned out to be and of course, Happy Birthday to the one and only Archie Harrison. You're a loved little boy and don't forget it! There's a little catching up in this one, but somehow it's timely AF. I recorded this 5 days ago not knowing Meghan and Harry would bless us with that Save the Children video. Either way, as always, I hope you enjoy and you keep shining your lights. The world needs it. Stay safe and reach out to others if you need it.
Harry and Meghan throw up their deuces after a bittersweet, but brilliant final round of engagements. Thanks for all of you for your support of this couple and all Sussex platforms. Welcome to another episode of the podcast. In this episode, I check in on the Smart Works charity and acknowledge their major milestone with the SmartSet collection, initiated by HRH Meghan Thee Duchess. They have dressed their 200th woman, sending her off to her interviews with love and confidence -- what an accomplishment that is. Well done, ladies, I give my reaction to the Hillary and Chelsea Clinton interview at the BBC radio spot and talk about the importance of Americans speaking up for the "American Duchess." We were some of the first to lead that discussion and call out the blatant racism in the intrusive coverage of the Duchess of Sussex. Lastly, the Squad Speaks segment is back! Thank you to those who submitted questions and comments for the segment and a big thank you to those who engage on the various Sussex Set platforms. Thank you so much to the 16 people who've joined my Patreon page. Find me on Twitter and Instagram. Love to all! -Vee
