In this fabulously full-bodied episode of G&T Sips and Giggles: One For The Road, Glenn and Tina Leggs Tantrum serve up a cheeky cocktail of queer culture, royal drama, national obsessions, and reality TV chaos.First, the pair sip their way through Mid-Century Modern – the new Hulu/Disney+ series hailed as a “spiritual cousin” to The Golden Girls, starring Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, and the late Linda Lavin in her final screen role. Expect warm takes on chosen family, ageing in the LGBTQ+ community, and a whole lot of Palm Springs fabulousness.Next, it's time for a royal reckoning as they unpack Prince Harry's turbulent month — from his dramatic exit from the charity Sentebale to his ongoing battle over UK security and the diverging paths he and Meghan Markle seem to be taking. Then it's back to Blighty for some classic British banter about the weather. Why are we so obsessed? Is climate consciousness finally catching up with our endless moaning? And what even is in garden soil that boosts our mood? (Spoiler: it's not just the Pinot.)Finally, Tina and Glenn preview the glittering line-up for Celebrity Big Brother 2025 — from Mickey Rourke to JoJo Siwa — and ask whether this revamped series can live up to the chaos of its heyday. With a smaller house and live audience feedback on the cards, it's bound to be explosive.Tune in for nostalgia, nobility, and nasal spray – all in a tight forty-minute package. Introduction: Minutes 0 to 8:45 We plan to record about once a month for now. I love the show Berlin ER on Apple TV, it's a lot like The Pitt, which I'm also watching. We were disappointed in the ending of Severence. Chandra is excited for the finale of The White Lotus. Royals: Minutes (8:45) to 33:00 Meghan released her As Ever collection this Wednesday morning. She had shortbread cookies, jam, tea and flower sprinkles. Everything was sold out within an hour. I bought the jam and some lemon ginger tea and Chandra got two teas and a jam. People were mad about how quickly everything sold out. Meghan also launched a commission-based ShopMy page with clothing, makeup and skincare. A woman named Sophie Chandauka has taken over Prince Harry's Lesotho-based charity, Sentebale. Harry co-founded it with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006. Both Harry and Prince Seeiso resigned from Sentable in late March. The majority of the board of trustees resigned several days before the announcement. Chandauka spent over 400,000 pounds on consultants, lost a major sponsor, and demanded a 300,000 salary, which was not granted. She also failed to fundraise for them and alienated the board as she pushed her way to the top. It was a hostile takeover and was aided by a man named Iain Rawlinson, a former trustee of Prince William's charity, The Tusk Trust. Chandauka and Rawlinsin did an interview together on Sky News. Chandra wonders when Rawlinson started manipulating Chandauka. He was seen at a Sentebale event in October. In her Sky News interview, Chandauka's main example of Prince Harry bullying her was when he resigned from Sentebale after she threatened to sue them. Chandauka spouted Windsor talking points against Harry in an interview with the Financial Times. She also was mad that Meghan and Serena Williams showed up at the charity polo match last April. Chandauka blamed Prince Harry for her failure to fundraise for Sentebale despite the fact that he donated 1.5 million from his proceeds from Spare and that the polo match raised over a million also. She's the woman whom Meghan asked to move during a group photo at that match, giving her a more central place instead of on the side next to Harry. The press made a huge deal out of this at the time and Harry emailed or texted Chandauka asking her to make a statement in defense of Meghan. She refused and now sources are saying that if the email got out it would be damaging to Harry. If so, why don't they release it? The British press's reaction in early March to Meghan gently telling Mindy Kaling that her last name was Sussex revealed so much. The British charity commission is investigating what happened at Sentebale. The trustees have spoken on the record about how abrasive Chandauka is. There's an ongoing narrative that Prince Harry is lonely, that he never should have left England, that he should come back to England. He's probably relieved to be away from these toxic people. We're excited for the second season of With Love, Meghan and hope she does seasonal episodes. Meghan's podcast Confessions of a Female Founder comes out April 8th. Prince William is going to be on Jeremy Clarkson's reality show, Clarkson's Farm. You might remember Jeremy Clarkson's horrible screed against Duchess Meghan. It's also notable that Will and Kate disappeared this week. Comments of the Week: Minutes (33:00) to end Chandra's comment of the week is from Jais on the post about Meghan's As Ever product launch. My comment of the week is from Lightpurple on the story about Cory Booker's marathon Senate speech. Thanks for listening bitches!

Last week, Prince Harry quit as patron of a charity he co-founded in memory of his mother, Princess Diana. Over the weekend, the charity's chair, Dr Sophie Chandauka told Sky News' Trevor Philips the prince had been "the number one risk" to the charity and accuses the Duke of unleashing "the Sussex machine" on her and Sentebale's staff. A source close to the former trustees of the charity has described the claims as "completely baseless".On today's Daily, Niall Paterson speaks to Sky's royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills about the very public fallout. The investigation surrounding the breakdown at Sentebale between the Board of Trustees and the Chair of Board, prompting Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso to step down as patrons in support of the trustees, has opened the floodgates on Dr. Sophie Chandauka MBE... or shall I say, just plain old Sophie, child. Harry's reaction to his wife's friendly kiss with his polo teammate has taken the internet by storm. The incident occurred during a trophy presentation at a polo event in Wellington, Florida, where the Royal Salute Sentebale team, led by Prince Harry, emerged victorious. After the team's triumph, TV Cooking Show host Meghan Markle was there to celebrate and congratulate the players. She gave Harry an enthusiastic kiss while holding the trophy, but it was her affectionate gesture towards Sentebale team captain Malcolm Borwick that caught everyone's attention. Meghan kissed Borwick on both cheeks, a moment that was captured on video and quickly went viral. In the clip, Prince Harry appeared to be visibly surprised by the interaction between his wife and teammate. The video showed Harry seemingly having words with Borwick, but later footage revealed that the exchange was light-hearted.Despite the friendly nature of the interaction, social media users couldn't resist analyzing and commenting on the moment. One user remarked, "That shoulder roll said a lot!" Meghan may have been snubbed by Prince Harry's close friend and fellow polo player, Nacho Figueras, following the recent charity polo event. Meghan and Figueras' wife, Delfina Blaquier, were seen cheering on their husbands during the event. However, when Nacho later posted photos from the day on his Instagram account, Meghan was noticeably absent from the two images he shared. One photograph featured Figueras, his wife Blaquier, and their daughter, while the second showed Figueras and Harry standing with another man and woman who attended the event. The absence of Meghan from these photos did not go unnoticed by fans.On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), one user pointed out the apparent snub, writing, "Nacho posted two pics of the awards ceremony. Who's missing?" Another commented, "Pictures really are worth 1,000 words,"And there's Meghan's jam....

Introduction: Minutes 0 to 3:45 I saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and loved it! Chandra is watching What We Do in the Shadows and says it's great this season. I am jealous of Canadians. Royals: Minutes 3:45 to 11:00 Prince Harry is in Japan this week to attend the International Sports Promotion Society Summit in Tokyo. He talked about sports being transformative and healing, which he sees through his work in the Invictus Games. Harry and Nacho Figueras posted a cute photo from Japan with the caption that they were shopping for their wives. They're headed to Singapore to play polo. This is to support Harry's charity Sentebale. To pull focus from Harry doing something when they're all on vacation, the Windsors decided to remove his HRH style from articles about him. Reports say they're just updating the website after the Queen's death, but taking His Royal Highness away from Harry was given priority over other necessary updates. Chandra thinks the press was briefed about this to pull focus from Harry's trip. It's so petty and obvious. While Harry is away Meghan was seen at one of Taylor Swift's six LA concerts. She also reportedly went to see Barbie with friends. William and Kate are going to honor the Queen at an appearance for her death anniversary. At first sources said Harry and Meghan have an open invitation to Balmoral, then we heard that they weren't invited to the memorial. Next there was a story about how there was no memorial planned, and the latest is that Kate and William will lead the tribute to the Queen. Natalie Portman: Minutes 11:00 to 16:00 In June we heard that Benjamin Millepied had been cheating on Natalie with a 25-year-old woman. We just got the announcement that they have separated after 11 years. In June Natalie was wearing her wedding ring. Us Weekly had some insider quotes that they were working on their marriage, but that they ultimately couldn't work it out. A lot of people are pointing out that when Benjamin got into a relationship with Natalie he had a live-in girlfriend. Comments of the week: Minutes 16:00 to end My comment of the week is from ThatsNotOkay on the post where Jennifer Aniston called Jamie Foxx anti-Semitic. Chandra's comment of the week is from Olliesmom on the post about Clarence Thomas receiving millions worth of travel from Republican donors. Thanks for listening bitches!
I met you at polo back in 2004 and again because I supported Sentebale 2014-2016. Do you remember when you shouted at me when I accidentally broke your wine glass at the campfire in Lesotho (to be exact, after dinner, from the Opening of the Children's Centre- you lined danced; heck we all did!)? - Before it happened,..... On what is World AIDS Day 2021, in his role as the Founding Patron of the African non-profit Sentebale, https://sentebale.org/ Prince Harry wrote to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and to the Executive Director of UNAIDS program, firstly to thank the scientific community for their tireless work in the treatment of AIDS and secondly, urging for fair and equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines and treatments. In his letter, Prince Harry wrote that 40 years on his mother would have been deeply grateful for all the good work that has been accomplished in dealing with the HIV/AIDS pandemic. However, Harry also spoke in despair that lessons from AIDS have not been learned, saying that the same issues regarding inequitable access to AIDS treatments are now being seen when it comes to COVID-19 - with Harry saying the risk of repeating the same mistakes when it comes to sharing COVID treatments is 'destructive and self-defeating.'Prince Harry wrote that in not meeting the UN targets for vaccinating everyone in the World, the predictions made by the scientific community foreseeing the emergence of new variants, are going to happen, with Harry seeing the new Omicron variety of COVID as an example of this.Carrying on work started by his mother Princess Diana, Prince Harry has being promoted AIDS testing and working with AIDS and HIV non-profits for a long time. He notes how the world's leading AIDS activists are also leading the call for COVID-19 vaccine equity, with Harry saying that 'vaccinating the world is a test of our moral character' something which the world is failing at right now.For World Aids Day 2021, Prince Harry also partly narrated a short video put together by the UNAIDS program in which Harry and the executive director of the program speak of the world fighting a killer virus and not for the first time. They draw parallels between COVID and HIV with some sobering statistics. What will be viewed as controversial comments Harry notes how scientific breakthroughs for both viruses have helped some but not all to carry on living, and how what Harry called corporate greed and political failures have prolonged both pandemics. The video, which includes some footage of Princess Diana meeting with HIV/AIDS patients, goes on to contrast the vast profits being made by pharmaceutical companies with the poor, saying that the poor are once again being left behind. Harry reiterated points he has made before in asking for pharmaceutical companies to break their monopolies, and to share the know how, to allow poorer countries to produce their own vaccines. To the politicians, the video speaks to this being a critical moment in time when some will find themselves either on the right side or the wrong side of history. It is acknowledged that some leaders are listening, but not much is being done.World AIDS Day has existed since 1988 as an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease.World AIDS Day is also one of the eleven official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organization (WHO).Please keep listening for future podcasts on all things Meghan, Harry, Archie and Lili. Prince Harry was literary back in the saddle when he hosted the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup in Aspen, Colorado, USA. Funds raised will be used to help to meet the funding for Prince Harry's and Prince Seeiso's charity Sentebale, an organization that supports vulnerable children in Southern Africa who are impacted by extreme poverty, inequality, and the HIV/AIDS epidemic.Sentebale was founded by Harry and Prince Seeiso in 2006 following Prince Harry's gap year to Lesotho in 2004. After ten years working in Lesotho, in November 2016, the charity launched operations in Botswana.Sentebale means 'Forget me Not' and the name was chosen as a memorial to the charity work of the two Princes' mothers, as well as a reminder not to forget Lesotho or its children. Dr. Handa and his International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS Handa) has been sponsoring Sentebale's polo matches for quite a few years. https://ispsgolf.com/Dr Haruhisa Handa is a Japanese businessman, musician, writer and philanthropist, and has founded numerous charitable organizations both in Japan and internationally. He believes that sport has the power to inspire, transform, and unite people and communities across social, racial and socio-economic barriers. Handa is the founder of the Japanese and International Blind Golf Associations. Sentebale reported on their website that this year's Polo Cup, together with Prince Harry's generation personal donation, will allow them to operate at full scale and will mean more children and young people across Lesotho and Botswana will receive essential support, care, and build skills to be more resilient and self-sufficient in the future. In other Prince Harry news, Harry's Invictus Foundation has become part of the newly launched WeThe15 campaign. WeThe15 describe themselves as sport's biggest ever human rights movement to end discrimination. WeThe15 aims to transform the lives of the world's 1.2 billion persons with disabilities who represent 15% of the global population.Launching at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, WeThe15 say that like race, gender and sexual orientation, the organizers want to have a movement all persons with disabilities can rally behind. A global movement that is publicly campaigning for disability visibility, inclusion and accessibility.https://www.wethe15.org/ is being spearheaded by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and International Disability Alliance (IDA) and will be working with a coalition of international organizations from the world of sport, human rights, policy, communications, business, arts and entertainment. Prince Harry's Invictus Games Foundation is part of the coalition. On the sports side of things WeThe15 say sport, and events such as the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, are hugely powerful vehicles to engage global audiences. There will be at least one major international sports event for persons with disabilities to showcase WeThe15 each year between now and 2030. On 19 August, more than 125 iconic landmarks, spanning 30 countries and multiple time-zones were lit up purple, the international colour for disability to celebrate the Launch of WeThe15. This week was going to be a difficult one, for Prince Harry and his brother William. August 31st marked the 23rd anniversary of the tragic death of their mother. Princess Diana’s funeral service took place on September 6th, 1997 at Westminster Abbey before she was laid to rest at her family estate Althorp, in Northamptonshire. Since then Prince Harry and now Meghan have frequently honoured his mother’s memory with flowers. It was only really after her death that her fondness for the humble forget-me -not flower emerged. In 2006 Harry and his friend launched their charity Sentebale. Sentebale means 'Forget-me-not'.In 2017, 20 years after Diana's death, forget-me-nots were included in the memorial flower garden for Princess Diana, the so called White Garden, in London. At the May 2018 marriage between Meghan and Harry, Meghan’s wedding bouquet of spring blooms included forget-me-nots.On Mother’s Day, 2019, Harry and Meghan released a photo on their Instagram account showing baby Archie’s feet against a backdrop of the flowers. So we see forget-me-not flowers linking Prince Harry and his family, to his mom. This past Monday, August 31st, Harry continued to honour his mother during an outing to the Assistance League of Los Angeles, when he and Meghan rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, helping preschoolers replant the Preschool Learning Centre’s garden. Harry and Meghan planted a mixture of vegetables and flowers and are said to have taken along a packet of forget-me-not seeds to include in the mix. Assistance League Los Angeles is one of approximately 120 chapters of this American non-profit, with each chapter dedicated to providing accessibility and fulfillment of community needs at the local level. Assistance League was established in 1919 by Anne Banning forming the Assistance League of Southern California. Her vision was to provide services to all in need, regardless of their race, religion or culture. Her vision laid the foundation for the future of the organization. The Preschool Learning Centre in Los Angeles, is but one of many programs on offer through this chapter.Again, thanks to Meghan and Harry, I have learned about another organization doing amazing work in the communities across America. Without this organization and the many others across the US and across the world doing similar work, there would be a lot more children having a little less hope in their lives.Princess Diana then, and now through her sons and their wives, in their dedication to their work and in their kind spirits, need never worry about being forgotten.

Hello Everyone!!!! First we will like to say, Happy Father’s Day Prince Harry and to all the fathers out there!! Thanks for sharing adorable Archie with us today! in this episode, we covered 4 engagements that the Duke of Sussex had this past week and a new initiative he launched. We discussed the Royal Foundation annual report specifically how the Duchess of Sussex work has impacted the foundation. Finally we broke down and debunk some rumors. We also gave updates on Happy Father’s Day Prince Harry Fundraiser. Omg we finally made money off the podcast! We donated it all to charity! ! We have a Father’s Day picture of King Archie and Prince Harry! Happy Father’s Day Prince Harry! Talk about our reaction! https://www.instagram.com/p/ByxRc1hlo6Y/?igshid=1n1p9prv1ulgi Engagements: Sentebale: The Duke of Sussex attended a fundraising concert for Sentebale in the stunning grounds of Hampton Court Palace. @Sentebale was founded by The Duke of Sussex and Lesotho’s Prince Seeiso in 2006 to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people affected by HIV and AIDS in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi. The charity is one way in which both Princes’ are able to keep their mothers’ legacy alive. Sentebale means “Forget me not” in Sesotho. Last night’s concert featured singer-songwriter Rita Ora and spoken word poet George the Poet (George Mpanga), and many other talented artists. Thousands came together in a celebration of African and Western culture to help raise awareness of Sentebale’s work in supporting children and young people in southern Africa affected by HIV. In the last 20 years, attitudes have changed as more people understand that the HIV virus is no longer a death sentence, yet there is still far too much stigma, discrimination, and lack of education surrounding the illness. Many people are afraid to access life-saving treatment because they fear what others will think. Thousands of children in southern Africa are living in incredibly challenging circumstances. Sentebale’s programmes not only ensure their basic needs – love, security and an education – are being met, but also provides them with the educational and psychosocial support they deserve. Since it was founded @Sentebale has supported hundreds of thousands of young people through activities including monthly clubs at local healthcare facilities and week-long residential camps. Support from the concert goes to the children of Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi, to help free the next generation of HIV by not letting stigma thrive off silence. To learn more about Sentebale, please visit www.sentebale.org https://www.instagram.com/p/BymqUKoloAV/?igshid=cogweszpf3fx Made by sports: The Duke of Sussex attended the launch of Made by Sport, a new campaign which champions the power of sport to change the lives of young people. Alongside British boxing legends Anthony Joshua and Nicola Adams, The Duke of Sussex met a number of sports community coaches from across the UK who play an invaluable role in inspiring future generations and giving young people the focus, skills and support they need. Bringing together over 60 organisations already working in the sports sector, @_madebysport aims to reach thousands of young people in the most disadvantaged communities across the UK through schools, clubs and organisations. This afternoon, The Duke spoke with young people about why sport matters to them and how it is changing, and sometimes even saving, lives. One of these was 15 year old Dantaye, who explained how getting involved with boxing turned his life around, keeping him away from the influence of knife crime and helping him focus on his future. Through his work on sport for social good over the last 10 years, The Duke has seen first-hand how sport can positively impact people’s mental fitness and the role it can play in helping change young people’s lives. Giving them purpose, a safe space with community, core values and confidence to excel in life. The Duke strongly believes that the investment of time and resources in youth programs (specifically with sport) is essential in helping save on funding, save lives and create stronger communities. Made by sport launch: Made By Sport is a four year campaign championing the power of sport to change lives and raising vital funds for organisations that are using sport to transform the lives of young people in the UK. The campaign is delivered in collaboration the Sport For Development Coalition, a movement made up of over 60 charitable organisations and funders with a reach in to thousands of schools, communities, clubs and organisations. https://www.madebysport.com https://www.instagram.com/p/ByndvMElcKP/?igshid=2n9afh07doin Nepal: The Duke of Sussex has had a longstanding connection to The Ghurkas and the people of Nepal beginning at a very young age. Today His Royal Highness held an audience with Nepal's Prime Minister, KP Sharma Oli, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen. This is the first visit to the UK by a Nepali Prime Minister in 19 years. The Duke has previously met KP Sharma Oli, on his first official visit to Nepal in March 2016, a country he had always longed to visit. At the time, Nepal was recovering from a major earthquake - rural villages had been torn apart leaving many families displaced, with heritage sites in Kathmandu severely damaged. Despite this tragedy, The Duke was moved by the remarkable spirit, resilience and warmth of the Nepalese, as seen in the photos from his visit. The Duke explored Nepal’s stunning natural beauty, trekking through a National Park, experiencing the Hindu Festival of Colour in the Himalayan village of Okhari and staying with a local family in Leorani village. During the visit, HRH also met The Royal Gurkha Rifles at the British Gurkha Camp in Pokhara, whom are a unique unit of soldiers in the British Army recruited from Nepal. The Duke has a particularly close bond to The Gurkha’s, having served with The 1st Battalion in Afghanistan in 2007/2008. The Gurkha’s have taken part in operations in Kosovo, Bosnia, East Timor, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Australia and Iraq and share a 203 year relationship with the UK. At the end of his 2016 visit, The Duke joined Team Rubicon volunteers to help a remote village whose community had been destroyed in the earthquake. @Teamrubiconuk unites the skills and expertise of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams in the aftermath of natural disasters. The Duke helped with the rebuild of the local school, giving children a safe space to go to school and study before the monsoon season arrived. https://www.instagram.com/p/BykgzMJFqWA/?igshid=hapcal314h4c Commonwealth: The Duke of Sussex celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Commonwealth by attending a Garden Party at Marlborough House in his role as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador. Sentebale works with local grassroots organizations to help these children – the victims of extreme poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. 更多内容请关注我们的今天的微信(11.24):搜索英语环球 NEWSPlus(有惊喜送票活动哦) This world AIDS day I would like to share messages with you in behalf of our charity Sentebale with support people with HIV and AIDS in the country of Lesotho in South Africa. Globally, HIV is the second-highest cause of death amongst those aged between 10-19 years old, and it is the number one cause of death across Africa. One tragic issue in particular is the shame and stigma linked to HIV. This causes thousands of children to needlessly die each year because they're keeping their illness a secret and not getting the medical attention they need. One of our main programs in Sentabale encourages students to discuss their concerns and talk openly about their health issues with medical professionals and through peer networks. To show our support for the children of Lesotho, and help reduce the stigma for all those affected by HIV, we are turning this World Aids Day into a day in which no-one should feel any shame about their secrets. Myself and many others will share secrets of our own throughout the day and we are asking everyone else to do the same. Please use #FeelNoShame to share your secret on social media and show the children of Lesotho they are not alone. Together, we can tackle the stigma surrounding HIV and give the young people carrying it the childhood they deserve. The childhood so many of us take for granted. Thank you.
