In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about what the true test of intelligence is. As John ultimately discloses, it's getting what you want in life. Creating the life you want. Then the second question. What is the currency of life? Is it time or is it money? Or something else. It's actually your attention. During this podcast John and Kelly talk about why people's lives evolve like they do. Most people are just winging life. They don't really have an actual way of doing life. And so to a significant degree, their outcomes in life come down to luck. Now keep in mind, genetics, upbringing and that type of thing are a factor. But luck has an outsized role if you're not intentionally leading yourself. To rectify that, he decided to find the “top book in the world” on SUCCESS and apply that book literally Word for Word to his life. That Book is Think & Grow Rich. The book says there's a SECRET for success, but the author only gives you half the secret. John figured out the full secret and a 12 minute a day technique to apply it.When John applied his 12 minute a day technique to his life, he saw his yearly income go to over $5 million a year, after 20 years of $200k - 300k per year. The 25 times increase happened because John LEVERAGED himself by applying science to his life. His daily technique works because it focuses you ONLY on what moves the needle, triples your discipline, and consistently generates new business ideas every week. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the concept that the reason you're not more successful than you are is because your intelligence and intellect is not choosing your actions. John mentions in this podcast that he is writing a new book called advanced leadership of self. He's establishing the academic discipline of the emerging field advanced leadership of self. With the intention of making the University of Texas the global leader in advanced leadership of self.John mentions that he is writing the book in conjunction with AI. It's a fascinating process. But in the podcast John mentions the most profound thing he ever learned is that up to 95% of his daily actions are unconscious. And since they are unconscious, his conscious mind intelligence and intellect is not controlling his daily actions. Yet those daily actions are the very thing that determines his success. In the podcast John talks about University of California researcher Benjamin Libit. And the experiment he did in the 1980s that proved that a person takes an action first and then a few milliseconds later becomes conscious of it.The implications of that for a driven person determined to be successful is huge. And John says that the turning point in his life was dispelling the false belief that he controlled his daily actions. As the podcast is wrapping up, John and Kelly end with a profound thought. Working harder is like stepping on the gas with the parking brake on. If you are not leading yourself deliberately and intelligently with a system.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the concept that attaining success is not about working harder. Without sounding cliché, it's about working smarter. Both John and Kelly were blessed to take their own personal annual income to over $1 million a year by working smarter. More specifically, understanding how the human mind works. Appreciating that one's daily actions determine their success in each area of their lives. But the majority of their daily actions, up to 95%, are unconscious. Therefore they had to gain control over their unconscious daily actions. That in a nutshell is what working smarter is all about. And here's a great saying to appreciate. Working harder is like stepping on the accelerator when the parking brake is on if you're not leading yourself deliberately and intelligently with a system. John also mentions another powerful saying. That you don't rise to the level of your goals, you sink to the level of your systems. During this podcast John and Kelly also talk about the nuances of using AI. And how transformative it is. And as we said last time, the gap between the 2% in the 98% is widening. Because at two factors. The 2% have a system for intentionally leading themselves and the 98% don't. Also the 2% is embracing AI thoroughly and completely, whereas the 98% is just dabbling with it.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. The Difference in the 2% and the 98% is Widening

Takeaway from today's show is you need to be up to speed on using AI to your maximum advantage .In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about how the difference is widening between the 2% in the 98%. And there's two factors at play here. The first is artificial intelligence. The people who understand how to use products like chat GPT and Claude adeptly are very definitely at a competitive advantage. John mentions that his competency today as an intelligent functioning human being is substantially greater today than it was nine months ago. He can see things that he couldn't see before because he was constrained by the four corners of his own mind. But by using AI, he can see things he couldn't see before. And that's critical because success comes down to one's daily actions. Both doing them consistently and identifying the right actions to take. AI allows you to better see the right actions to take. The second factor in the separation between the 98% and the 2% is a concept of advanced leadership of self. The vast majority of the 98% are simply winging life. They don't have a way of leading themselves. They just get up each day and do the best they can. But the 2%, a large percentage of them have an actual way of doing life. During this podcast John shows our audience how using AI can make you see the right actions to take in your career. He uses the example of his current three year goal and the milestones to get there. Watch during this podcast how AI expands John's thinking and understanding. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly share their observations on creating success in your career. John mentions that he started out as a CPA and became an entrepreneur when he was 30. Then he was in seven different businesses in his 30s and 40s. But in retrospect, he sees that he was not connected to any of them emotionally. Then when he turned 50, he got in the reverse mortgage business. A business he was, in fact, emotionally connected to. Because he had seen how investment advisors had tried to coerce his mom into various investments after is dad had died at John's age of 24. He saw that those investment advisors didn't have his mom's best interest at heart. So when he got into the reverse mortgage business, he was committed to treating all his customers like his own parents. So that was the emotional connection. And the big Takeaway is that whatever business or industry you are in, you need to be passionate about it. You need to be emotionally connected to it in order for you to thrive long-term. John then gets into more detail about what took his income, when he was in his mid-50s, to 25 times the $200,000 – $300,000 a year he making the prior 20 years. He saw that he was doing three high-performance skills he never was doing before. He was highly organized. Planning is day the night before and time blocking is days. He was deep thinking two times a week. Tuning into reality. Growing every week from experts in areas that he needed in order to be successful as an entrepreneur. Primarily in marketing. Then John saw that through the think it be it methodology he was feeding himself six key things every day. His business plan, his strategy for success, the two or three things that move the needle, where he wanted the business to be three years from now, the 4-5 milestones to get there, and the linchpin issue to go to the next level. From feeding those six things to himself every day, he continually refined his understanding of those key components every day. So it was that combination of doing those three high-performance skills coupled with a continually evolving deeper understanding of his business that caused his income to go up by 25 times. And lastly, John talks about if you're an employee, you are, in fact, really an entrepreneur. The same concepts apply. Your career is your business. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about taking the advanced leadership of self 12 minute a day methodology to the next level. Using AI. And here's the thing to appreciate. At the end the day, one success is determined by taking the right actions on a consistent basis. On the issue of consistently taking the right actions, that's addressed in the 12 minute day methodology. 95% of your daily actions are unconscious. When you feed the succinct articulation of your desired life yourself each day, that's the repetition the subconscious mind needs to rewire your autopilot. So you have control over those unconscious daily actions. That way you can do them consistently rather than sporadically. But here's the other issue. You have to be taking the right actions. So consider this. The right actions regarding your health are pretty straightforward. Regarding eating right and exercising. Same with having a great romantic relationship. The right actions are pretty straightforward. But when he gets to one's career, the right actions are not nearly as obvious. And in methodology, for your career you establish where you want your career to be three years from now. And the 4-5 milestones to get there. That gives you a guidepost for the right actions to take. But here's the problem. Your vision is trapped by the four walls of your own mind. Your vision of the right actions is constrained by your own biases and limited knowledge. But this can be overcome. And is being overcome using AI in the advanced leadership of self methodology. In this episode Kelly explains her three year vision for her business. As well as the three or four milestones to get there. Then once this is established, John and Kelly gives it all to chat GPT. Chat GPT then gives a much deeper view of the right actions. This overcomes one's limited vision from the four walls of one's own mind.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly explain that the mind thrives on order. And when you feed the succinct articulation of your life to yourself each day you create immense order in the mind. And as Kelly points out, it makes you feel lighter. It causes all those half thoughts that are going on in your head to either go away or become full thoughts. To drive home this idea that the mind thrives on order, John points out that's why you enjoy music. A few years back, John learned how to play blues guitar. And in the process of doing so, he learned the timing in music. So in this podcast, he plays the song Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. Explains the timing and then counts it. This is a vivid example of how the mind thrives on order. To wrap things up, John makes a point of how one's success in life as well as one's enjoyment of life comes down to the thoughts that are going on in your head on an ongoing basis. So simple but many people don't get this. But for the few that do, it's life-changing. The think it be it methodology influences the creation of your thoughts.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about how the think it be it life GPS template is set up around your career. There are six things you need to define. Your business plan, your strategy for success, the two – three things that move the needle, where you want your business to be three years from now. The 4 - 5 milestones to get there, and the linchpin issue to go to the next level. But maybe the most important of the six is defining your three year vision for your business. Once you see where you want to go, then you will define the 4-5 milestones to get there from where you are today. That gives you the path. But the lesson from today's podcast is it's all about clarity. The clearer you see where you're going, the more clear it is what the right actions are to get there. John and Kelly talk about over the years with their think it be it business, and some years they liked the three year vision and some years they didn't like the direction. So it's valuable on an every six month basis to assess on a scale of 1 to 10 how well you like your three year career vision. If you don't find yourself liking it to the level of a nine or 10, maybe it's better to spend more time figuring out how to get it to that nine or 10 than continuing to continuing to pursue a three year vision that you don't fully embrace. Clarity always brings the right actions to the surface. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk how in life, most people focus on the obstacles rather than focusing on what they want. During this podcast episode, John and Kelly play a short clip from leadership guru Simon Sinik. It really illustrates the idea of how people focus on the obstacles. As John pointed out, what a lousy way to live. But people are doing that because they are innately wired for survival. Which causes them be fear-based. That's why they focus on the obstacles. Coupled with the fact that by being wired for survival they are profoundly resistant to change. John goes on to talk about how easy it is to manipulate the subconscious mind. And manipulate the person you want to be. If your natural inclination is to focus on the obstacles, it's pretty easy to change that. By repeatedly saying to yourself to focus on the possibilities rather than the obstacles, over about 21 days that will happen. But when you're winging life, as most people do, you're innately wired to focus on the obstacles.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk how to up your game on using chat GPT. As a little background, John does a weekly program for the 18 head coaches at the University of Texas. And this week he's teaching them how to up their game on using chat GPT. So here are some of the ways to do it. First of all, today chat GPT is probably the best AI program to use. Because it's more advanced than the other programs regarding having a back and forth oral conversation. But you have to have the paid version which cost $20 a month. But the first step up for using AI beyond asking a question or two or improving emails is to have ongoing conversations with it. As an example, John oftentimes has a problem he's thinking about and on his drive home will have a back-and-forth conversation with chat GPT. And it will go on as long as John wants to talk. Another significant use is using chat GPT during thinking sessions. Either to answer your question or to factually get more information. A third use is giving AI a set of eyes. Using your camera. So chat can see what you see. Then you can ask it questions regarding what it sees.Another use is creating a morning briefing. It's tied to your emails and calendar. Get a morning briefing just like the president of the United States does. Further you may want to adjust the settings in AI. You can make it so it's not so agreeable with everything you ask it. You can also use chat GPT to have an alter ego AI agents to play a particular role. Maybe have one agent that really challenges you hard on things.Another idea is regarding your health. There is an AI program called open evidence that is available to medical practitioners. It is tuned in to all the medical research. You can ask your doctor to ask it to research something and then you can give it follow-up questions. Your medical provider should be agreeable to doing that. Further, you can get your AI program to do tasks for you. As an example you might want to set up a Google ad words campaign. It can do the whole thing for you. So the bottom line is today you are under using AI. For John and Kelly, it's evolved into being their personal coaches and personal mentors. And it's only going to get better.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the concept that you have to figure out your life. John discusses coming to grips with this when he was 50. Only then did he get it through his thick head that he had to figure out his life. Nobody else can figure it out for him. Because nobody else but him has all the information. And there's not going to be some magical thing that happens to transform your life. Again it's fully and completely on you to figure out how to be successful in each area of your life. It's really being accountable for your life. Kelly particularly advocates for this idea. The problem is most people are gliding through life. Not really thinking very deeply about their life. And accepting whatever they get out. Rather than making things happen by really owning the results. Which confirms this. It's amazing that in the richest country in the world, only 2% of people are living the exceptional life. So why is that? It's because most people are just winging life. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the concept of advanced leadership of self. But what does that really mean? In this episode John poses the question to chat GPT. The essence of what Chat says is it's taking personal responsibility for your life and the results that show up in your life. Making sure your actions reflect steps to your well thought out goals. John talks about how there is this constant dance between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. In the conscious mind you're establishing the ideal you. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you are going to achieve your clearly defined goals. So that's again established in the conscious mind. Then you feed that to the subconscious mind. It takes 12 minutes a day. And the effect is the ideal you is who you actually become. John and Kelly talk about how the subconscious mind is either your greatest asset or your greatest nemesis in life. And it's your choice. It's your greatest nemesis in life because you're innately wired for survival. Which causes you to be fear-based and reactive. So if you don't do anything to override being wired for survival, your subconscious mind is your greatest nemesis in life. But on the flipside of that, when you properly programm yourself in your morning routine, it becomes your greatest asset. The subconscious mind is like a garden. If you water it and fertilize it by giving it the proper input, flowers are produced. If you neglect it, weeds will show up.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about a powerful quote from James Clear. Author of atomic habits. You don't rise to the level of your goals, you sink to the level of your systems. As John explains, the think it be it methodology is a combination of various systems . A system for controlling your actions. It's a system for controlling your mindset. Then there is the technique of setting aside time each week to just think. To deep think. It's a system for thinking. The think it be it methodology also has a system for being a conduit of learning. Using podcasts. It's a system for growing. And then there's the think it be it daily and weekly to do system. A system for being organized. And during this podcast John and Kelly talk about how most people are not growing intellectually. In fact, the average person doesn't read three books rest their life after they graduate from college. An amazing statistic. And most people have no system for mindset and a poor system for being organized. That's why when you have strong systems for these various things, success is easy. Because the bar is so low with other people.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the power of really understanding the industry that you're in. John and Kelly talk about getting into the success industry and discovering how clueless they both were. What they missed is that while everybody wants to be more successful, only 2% of people are driven to be more successful. Where more success is a priority and a necessity, not merely a preference. With most people, sure they'd like to be successful. But they won't do anything to make themselves more successful.Anything that takes any level of effort. And that's probably been the most surprising thing John and Kelly have learned about the success industry. And it was taught to John by arguably the top expert in the world on success – Darren Hardy. Kelly talks about really understanding the recruitment business. And how that business has evolved and changed. John then goes deeper into the teaching industry. What he's learned over the last few years. So the bottom line is whatever industry you're in, you have to really learn what's going on in the industry. And the best place to go for that is someone that has been in the industry longer than you have. And who will be blunt and tell you what's going on and not just be politically correct.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the personality profile known as the disc profile. Essentially what this is is it determines which of four personality types you are. Based on whether you do things fast or do them slow. And whether you are people oriented or task oriented. And one of the key things that comes from understanding this is you realize that approximately 70% of people are different than you. 70% of people are processing the very same information you are processing and coming up with different conclusions.Once you really grasp this, it makes your life much easier. They are not disagreeing with you in order to be obstinate. They're just processing the same information differently than you are. But also here's the key thing to appreciate. In most cases when people process information differently than you do, one person is right and one person is wrong. And the person that is right is one that has the opinion that is closest to what is actually true. What has been proven to be true in reality. So when people process information differently than you and it is contrary to what is proven to be true, they are processing information erroneously to their detriment. But the bottom line of today's podcast is it is important to understand the disc profile because it gives you perspective about yourself as well as other people.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. You have to decide what energy you want to convey. You want to control your state. And you want to convey certainty. The second rule is clarity wins. Say what you need to say simply and clearly. Most people over talk and say too much. And people don't remember anything they say. Then the third rule is calm commands. If you really want to influence people, talk slower not faster. Where when you get up it each morning, you look forward to going to work. John talks about how with the think it be it methodology, it's all about giving you control over your self. But what good is control if you're doing a job that you hate. In studying success, John sees that doing what you love for a career comes down to three things being in alignment. Your values, your proclivities and unique talents, and then your interests that are economically viable. And so in this episode, John and Kelly talk about values. John says that most people don't really know what values are. And Susie Welch from NYU has a great book called becoming you. Where she describes 16 different values that are important to understand as you pursue your career. And during this podcast, John and Kelly talk about each value and where they personally rate on each value. It's a fascinating discussion. That addresses values like how important is control. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly introduce an interesting idea. You are two people in one. There is the do'er you and there is the observer you. John points out that this is a powerful way to look at your life from a 30,000 foot view. And it is particularly appropriate for someone doing the think it be it 12 minute a day methodology. That's the case because the observer you took the life GPS template and with the conscious mind created your desired life. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you're going to achieve your clearly defined goals. Again, all conscious mind involving the observer you. Then for 12 minutes a day, when you read your life GPS template, you got everybody on the team together at the same time. The life GPS template is instructing the doer side of you on exactly what you want done. Giving all the specifics. But while you are reading your life GPS template, the observer you is also evaluating it. Deciding if there's any tweaks to it. And factoring in that the observer you actually created the life GPS template and customized it to your unique life. When you really think about this idea it really puts your life in perspective. And more than anything else, at the end of that you're really an observer of your life. When we talk about who YOU are, you're really the observer of your life. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly discuss is the idea that you have to create yourself from the inside out not the outside in. This comes from a great book called Inner Excellence. And here's the reality. Most people are creating themselves from the outside in. Driven by social media and what other people think. So who they are is primarily influenced by those factors. Exactly the opposite of how you want to be. You want to be created from the inside out. At the end the day, all we want is inner peace and to live our life confidently. And everything starts with gratitude. Which promotes inner strength, which then leads to mental toughness. Which then leads to achievement. And that all comes back to inner peace and gratitude.During this podcast Kelly digs into the idea that your identity dictates your actions. Who you see yourself as determines the actions you take. And your morning routine is how you establish your identity and how you build yourself from the inside out. You just have to figure out what the best morning routine for you is. Maybe it's meditation, maybe it's affirmations. But as John points out, what would be a better morning routine than feeding the succinct articulation of your desired life yourself each day. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly dig deeper into the idea that 95% of your daily actions are unconscious. The classic way we explain it is as follows. Your actions determine your success in each area of your life. It is well documented that 95% of your daily actions are unconscious. Accordingly just connect the dots. Your subconscious mind controls your life. And if you want a higher level of success, you have to gain control over those unconscious daily actions. But one thing that John finds interesting from appearing on various podcast is often times the host will acknowledge that they know that 95% of their daily actions are unconscious but do not do anything about it.Kelly provides some great wisdom on this topic. First of all, she says that often times people didn't know they could do anything about it. Well that's exactly what the think it be it methodology is all about. The 12 minute a day technique. Taking control over those unconscious daily actions. The other thing Kelly astutely points out is that most people aren't thinking about this anyway. They're just gliding through life living life at a shallow level. Not getting much thought to the implications of 95% of their daily thoughts and actions being unconscious. Once you listen to this podcast, you will have a deeper and richer understanding of this fundamental concept that when you think about it, is life-changing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly discuss the concept of Letting Go. This is based on a book from David Hawkings. Truly life-changing book. It's very similar to Mel Robbins' recent book called The let them theory. The essence of Mel Robbins' book is that you do you and you let other people do them. Don't worry about the things you don't control. In this book Mel Robbins says that the problem is the power you give other people. Two simple words – let them – will set you free. From the opinions, drama and judgment of others. Free from the exhausting cycle trying to manage everything and everyone around you. Again you do you, focus on what you control, and let other people do them. The fundamental problem is that people try to control things they don't control. So people have to fix that. Then John gets into a life-changing book he is reading called Letting Go. John says it's taking him to the next level. And what letting go means is when things come up in your life that are frustrating, just let it go. Don't hold onto the frustration. The more you give energy to a frustration, the more it negatively impacts you. John goes on to talk about how learning this methodology is so compatible with the think it be it 12 minute a day methodology. When you feed the concept of letting go to yourself each day, you rewire your autopilot. So that's what you actually do. And you become a person that lets go.Buy John's book, THE MISSING SECRET of the Legendary Book Think and Grow Rich : And a 12-minute-a-day technique to apply it here.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly discuss the concept that 95% your daily actions are unconscious. The significance of that is your daily actions determine your success in each area of your life. So we will go deep on this topic today. And here's what we see. Lots of people think that all of their daily actions are conscious. The reason they feel that way is they are aware of all their daily actions. Accordingly, they think they are consciously made. But they are NOT consciously made. What actually happens, and this is scientifically proven, is a vast majority of your actions happen unconsciously and then a split second later you become conscious of it.As an example, if you're feeling stressed you might unconsciously eat a snack. But once you've started eat the snack, only then do you become consciously aware of it. But the actual action of starting to eat the snack happened unconsciously. In this episode to prove this point that your actions happen unconsciously and then you become aware of them, John engages with chat GPT. Very interesting discussion. John points out that people are who they are based on their genetics and what is come into their consciousness to this point. But the third factor is do they have estrogen or testosterone coursing through their veins. The net effect is that other people don't look at the world like you do. And this is particular true if they are of the other sex. So you have to dial that in as you interact with your partner. And let it be okay for them to not see the world just like you do. But it's extremely valuable to do what Kelly suggests which is to convey to your partner what you need, so they are not guessing. John goes on to say that lately he really has been contemplating this idea of the art of living. Part of it is understanding how to deal with other people. Also putting your life in perspective. In this encore episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John explains the topic of today's episode. Do you ever have the feeling that you're “not good enough”? This question comes up from a speaker that presented to John's class at the University of Texas. Many students came up afterwards to discuss the feeling of not good enough. And John realizes that's a feeling many people probably have. The source of this is that we are all wired for survival. It causes 75% of our thoughts to be fear-based. And we're reactive rather than proactive on our important agenda. That's exactly why people feel like they're not enough. You're hardwired to feel like you're not enough. Why would you feel any other way.John and Kelly going to talk about how your morning routine has the potential to override being wired for survival. And wires you for success. Your morning routine has to do something to take control of your mindset. One of the big problems today is we live in a shallow culture. Driven by social media and the flip through nature of social media. Using the think it be it 12 minute a day methodology, from the conscious mind standpoint, it causes a person to have a deeper understanding of himself. The think it be it methodology influences the creation of your thoughts.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John explains the topic of today's episode. From that conscious mind understanding a person logically sees that they are good enough. But the real key is the subconscious mind programming. Curious about why we made the change and what's coming next? Tune in to find out! This week, we're revisiting an insightful episode: Human Nature – We Are Not Wired for Success. In this episode John and Kelly talk about human nature. How humans are wired for survival, not for success. And that plays out regarding the negatives in human nature. We tend to be self focused, we tend to be reactive. As humans, we tend to be lazy. We tend to be unfocused. Easily distracted. That's human nature. But there is some good to human nature. We have an innate desire to help other people. And John made an interesting point. That all the negatives regarding human nature are all related to being wired for survival. By being wired for survival, that's what kept us alive 5000 years ago when there was a danger around every corner. It causes us to be fear-based and reactive. Which is exactly the opposite of how we want to be if we want to be productive creative and happy. During this podcast John and Kelly point out that you have to intentionally and proactively override human nature if you want to be successful. And you do that through the think it be it 12 minute day morning routine.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode, John and Kelly discuss core wounds. John just got back from a seven day vacation to Sedona. Went to a retreat on marriage and took his whole family. His wife Ginger, and the two kids Will and Hannah who are in the 30s. Along with Hannah's husband Charlie. It was life-changing for all. One of the key things addressed was core childhood wounds. We all have them. And they play out in our life and particularly in our marriages. So it's important to understand what your core wound is. John's core wound is not feeling heard and the fear of loneliness. Kelly's core wound is having to be a people pleaser. John and Kelly discuss how using the think it be it methodology will cure the core wound. You figure out what it is and figure out what the affirmation is to eliminate it. May also give a reason why it doesn't affect one's life today. You put that in the persons visualization. Then you feed it to yourself each day. After 21 days, believe it or not, the core wound is neutralized and doesn't affect your life. In the new AI algorithm being developed by John to customize the think it be it template to each person's unique life, John is building into the algorithm the ability to address core wounds as well as false beliefs John and Kelly go on to talk about the concept of false beliefs. The typical person has approximately 12 false beliefs that they live their life with. So it's important to understand what those core false beliefs are and eliminate them. To wrap up the show John is taking various Napoleon Hill quotes and explaining what they mean in the modern world today. About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode, John and Kelly discuss netting over $1 million a year. Which only one third of 1% of people are able to do. John talks about when he was first able to do this in his early 50s. It happened because he had immensely more control over himself. He could do now five high-performance skills he couldn't do before. He was highly organized. Planned this day the night before and time blocked his day. He was deep thinking two times a week. He was growing intellectually, in areas that were strategic relative to what he wanted to accomplish. He was focused only on what moves the needle. And he had control over his daily actions, 95% which are unconscious. Kelly goes on to say that when she crossed over to netting over million dollars a year, it allowed her to just have more impact. Those same five high-performance skills were things she could now do consistently. John goes on to talk about how important it is that you choose a business that is leveraged. As an example, he talks about how in the reverse mortgage business he would make $30,000 a reverse mortgage versus when he sold his time by the hour as a CPA he make $200 an hour. John also recounts how he celebrated the first time he went over that magic milestone of netting over million dollars a year. About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode, John and Kelly discuss that is on you to figure out your life. John talks about coming to grips with this when he was 50 years old. And not only did he have to accept full responsibility, he also saw that he had to figure out the specific actions he had to take to create the life he wanted. A big challenge. But then the answer appeared. It came from think and grow Rich. Create immense clarity about your life. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you're going to achieve your clearly defined goals. Feed that to yourself every day. Then the right actions happen automatically without thinking. But what's significant here is that when you start with the end in mind and work backwards, the right actions to take become apparent. During this podcast John and Kelly talk about how most people are just winging life, re-creating the past. To some degree this is happening because people are shallow thinking. They're not deep thinking. That's a result of the flip through culture we live in. But here's the bottom line of what we learned today. Accept the fact that you have to accept full responsibility for your life. Not looking for anyone else or looking for external factors to change. Then you need to figure out the right actions to take. That happens from starting with the end in mind and working backwards. See you what you want to achieve and the right actions will become obvious. Then feed that to yourself every day. That's what makes the right actions then happen automatically without thinking. Profoundly simple.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. After spending 20 years as an entrepreneur, John was 50 years old but wasn't as successful as he thought he should be. In this episode, John and Kelly discuss the idea that the doing your best doesn't work. John discusses that when he was 40 years old, he adopted the strategy for success of just doing his best. That's all he controlled. So that's what he focused on. Doing his best. But that didn't produce big results. Then he got enlightened in his 50s. He understood fundamentally how success works. It comes down to your daily actions. And if you don't know the proper daily actions to take, even though you might be doing your best, you won't have big success. What John learned is that the key to being successful is creating immense clarity about your life. Defining exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you're going to achieve your clearly defined goals. By defining that, then you see the right actions you take. It becomes obvious. And then you feed that clarity to yourself every day. That impacts your daily actions. And your upgraded daily actions then creates the life you want. The point of all that is that just doing your best may not have you doing the right actions, despite your best intentions. John also talks about in his 30s and 40s he was only playing at 5% of his potential. He didn't have a high level of control over himself. In his 50s he did from figuring out the full secret of think and grow Rich. And lastly John talks about how in his 50s doing his best came down to five things. Effort, focusing on what moves the needle, tuning into reality, consistently growing every week, and understanding how the human mind works. In John's 30s and 40s, he only knew to give effort. In this episode, John and Kelly discuss the challenge of taking wisdom and sharing it with other people. John talks about a statue that sits in his den. It has three men that are climbing. The lowest guy is struggling, the middle guy is going sideways, and the third guy is going straight up. When John looks at that statue each morning, he thinks about his own life. The guy at the lowest level was was John in his 30s. The guy going sideways was John in his 40s. And the guy going straight up John in his 50s. John sees that when he started going straight up in his 50s, he saw and understood things he never understood before. He gained wisdom from the book Think and Grow Rich. He was just operating on a higher level. He understood how the human mind worked, and that was the difference Kelly talks about how she has learned from other people as well. But so often people in their 30s and 40s don't think they have that much to learn. So they're not receptive to the wisdom of others. But John points out that oftentimes the wisdom is something profoundly simple. It's not like you're learning to split the atom. In this episode John and Kelly discuss an idea that comes from Joe Dispenza. He says that when we wake up each morning, we are oriented to our recent past. To our familiar past. So when our eyes open each morning, three things are going on. First we're innately wired for survival. Which causes us to be fear-based and reactive. Secondly, 95% of our daily thoughts and actions are unconscious. And third, and this is what Joe Dispenza adds to the equation, we are oriented to the recent past. So the effect is when you open your eyes each morning, you're fear-based and reactive. With the vast majority of your thoughts being fear-based, with 95% of them being unconscious. And you're thinking about the recent past. Your problems and may be little things that hurt you over the last few days. That then produces feelings. And those feelings create more negative thoughts. It's a spiraling negative loop that causes you to continually re-create the past. Thoughts are the language of the mind and feelings are the language of the body. So when you get in this negative loop to continually re-create the past, nothing is pulling you forward. That's why the think it be it 12 minute a day methodology is so powerful. Where you articulate the succinct articulation of your desired life. In this episode, John and Kelly talk about the concept that success is something you attract, rather than something you chase. By being the type of person that does attract success. As Kelly points out, BE then DO. John makes the analogy of someone trying to catch a butterfly. It's very elusive. Just like success. But if you become the person that you need to be in order to be successful, you will attract success. Kelly talked about the idea of envisioning the best version of yourself 10 years from now. And envisioning what you would have accomplished. Then seeing the type of person you would need to be in order to attain that level of success. It's a great analogy. Putting yourself in a third-party position to see the person you need to be in order to attract the success you want is a fundamental concept. In this podcast John also points out the power of the think it be it method. Your defining exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you can achieve your clearly defined goals. Then you feed that to yourself every day using the think it be it template. Since 95% of a person's daily thoughts and actions are unconscious, when you feed that to your subconscious mind that's who you actually become. Your subconscious mind makes you into what you're feeding it. Powerfully simple. The science of leveraging yourself.About the Hosts:John MitchellJohn's story is pretty amazing. In this episode, John and Kelly discuss personal responsibility. To launch into this topic, John plays a five minute presentation by Darren Hardy. After the clip plays, John and Kelly unpack what we learned. The first thing we learn is that you created the life you have. Whatever you have in your life, both good and bad, you created it. The second thing we learned is that cornerstone of personal responsibility is never being a victim. Eliminating victimhood. They also talk about the idea of looking at what you are tolerating in your life. That can be as bad as bad choices. John and Kelly also talk about the most precious gift we have. Controlling your attention. Because what you give your attention to determines the input that comes in your head. And that input determines your thoughts, which determines your actions, which ultimately determines your success in each area of your life.
