Tune in as Arthur's pal Anna hops back into their guest seat for a deep dive into Upload, the Prime Video series that follows a technologically advanced near-future in which people have figured out a way to, well, upload their consciousness into a digital afterlife. Running for three seasons since 2020, this show, which feels reminiscent of The Good Place, has been renewed for a fourth and final season. Talking points for today's episode include people's excessive fixation on Claudia Sulewski supposedly resembling Billie Eilish, the Likable Bro charisma that helps a star like Robbie Amell offset his worrisome filmography, Upload's thought-provoking lens on capitalism (albeit a lens that's clearly provided by liberals), and Arthur's vehement defense of the Nathan/Nora chemistry. Created by Greg Daniels, Upload stars Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson, Kevin Bigley, Andrea Rosen, Owen Daniels, William B. Davis, Josh Banday, Jessica Tuck, Chris Williams, Elizabeth Bowen, Rhys Slack, Jordan Johnson-Hinds, Paulo Costanzo, Barclay Hope, Mackenzie Cardwell, Peter James Smith, Bassem Youssef, Jeanine Mason, Matt Ward, Chloe Coleman, and Hiro Kanagawa. This month, Sky Goodden speaks with Rahel Aima, a prolific critic, art writer, and Associate Editor at Momus. We focus on a text Aima published in Momus, “Depleting Felix Gonzales-Torres” (July 2020), that takes aim at “a mammoth exhibition” of the late Gonzalez-Torres's 1990 work Untitled (Fortune Cookie Corner). Aima writes “In a move taken right out of the influencer marketing playbook,” Andrea Rosen and David Zwirner, who co-represent his estate, shipped the piece around the world to collectors who would then display and “document them for the ‘gram.” While Gonzales-Torres's work conjures a body through accumulation and depletion, “we can understand the exhibition as an extension of overwhelmingly white, moneyed arts professionals and their tendency to trivialize Black and Indigenous death by trying to relate it to the art world.” Aima engages us in a gripping conversation about writing, including the discomfort of penning a polemic that goes viral.

Have you ever wondered whether a famous painting contained a clue to a mystery that, once revealed, would upend the world as we know it? Well, you're in luck because in this episode we dive into The Da Vinci Code with museum expert and curator Andrea Rosen! We explore the tough questions of whether to reveal the lie at the center of Catholicism or just go on living your life because no one would care, and then discuss the film's art historical bonafides, whether Robert Langdon is a good professor, and whether this film, which has been mostly forgotten, deserves a dusting off and revisit!

Shonali Bhowmik is a musician, actress, comedienne, filmmaker, writer with a law degree! Her bio is extensive, but here's a taste of what she's involved with mostly right now—she co-hosts her own live variety show podcast series called We Don't Even Know AND she is the leader of the indie rock band Tigers and Monkeys for which she is the songwriter, singer, and guitar player. I learned so much from this session with Shonali. She creates purely from the need to create and grow. I kicked the emotional tires and she honestly just seems like a naturally happy, yet driven creative person, self-motivated—with a key ingredient—HARD WORK! Oh and a great family, which she appreciates. Further Bio: She is a member of the popular comedy collective Variety Shac, with Chelsea Peretti, Heather Lawless and Andrea Rosen. Shonali was the host of the Shac's popular Upright Citizen's Brigade live show. She has also created television pilots for the Adult Swim and IFC networks. She wrote and directed the short film, Sardines Out Of A Can which was screened in 6 cities across the globe including Madrid, Spain; Bangalore, India and won best romantic comedy short at the Bare Bones International Film Fest 2014. She has her own independent music and comedy record label called Little Lamb Recordings. She was one of the leaders of Ultrababyfat who was featured in David Cross' tour DVD Let America Laugh. Shonali has released eight albums including her solo full length release 100 Oaks Revival and those with her rock n' roll outfits,Tigers and Monkeys and Ultrababyfat. Tigers and Monkeys' newest album Saturday Destroyer was released in September 2018. Shonali can be seen in the feature length romantic comedy, Isn't It Romantic which was released in February 2019. There's so much more about Shonali—check out her website and Instagram
The beverage issues continue in episode 3! But now it's Johnny's turn to be distracting with his viscous green, date smoothie. Johnny's in a foul mood because his wife is out of town for three months, and he's all alone taking care of his children. Tony is as patient as he can be, and attempts to lighten the mood with two lively improv scenes: Lucy frantically trying to prevent her own murder in a pitch-perfect I Love Lucy parody and a futuristic VR firm discussing the ancient show Fringe with one of its clients. Then, Johnny's wife Andrea Rosen enters the conversation from afar, and he's thrown into a pathetic spiral of oversensitivity. A lot of fun stuff, but honestly it gets a little uncomfortable. The cows take the 405 to Sherman Oaks with friend Andrea Rosen (Fleming Museum of Art) in this revisit of Amy Heckerling's totally wicked rom-com about modern girl friendships. We discuss the nature of Chers and Karens, how power relations structure what counts as knowledge, and who does and does not count as "clueless." We revisit our past selves in high school, reflect on the linguistics of Valley Girl speak, and laugh about which characters we were and who of them is most smooch-able. Dance along to No Doubt and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, but keep an ear out for some surprise appearances by the Insane Clown Posse and Cannibal Corpse!
