Welcome to episode #286 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!In this episode, we have a discussion regarding the news that there is interest from organizations to buy the Boston Breach CDL spot for next year. Though this has not officially been confirmed, and most likely not until after seasons end, we see this as a massive move with our connection to the Breach, as well as an important move that will showcase some of the issues with the CDL format regarding teams, budget, and talent. We discuss some of these systemic issues that have created this massive divide in team funds, and therefore talent opportunities for these teams to compete and make the league more competitive. There is a strong likelihood that we could see a revolving door of teams moving into this spot in the future if an org that does not have strong funding comes in, and this would be at the detriment of the players, the org, and of course the fans. We give some of our thoughts and solutions to this issue, and what we think is most important for orgs to be focusing on in order to help their brand and players. Finally, we close with some talk regarding our BO7 matches, and the continued issues that we have seen regarding the matchmaking.
