This week on the show Shaunna and Lisa discuss several major sporting events that have been happening around the world in the last few weeks and the decision-making that comes along with sport. Although they seem unrelated, we discuss such major events as the Beijing Winter Olympics doping scandal – including the comparisons between skater, Kamila Valieva and summer Olympics track hopeful, Sha'Carri Richardson; Super Bowl 2022 performers; as well as the Rooney Rule in the NFL and how it's NOT producing the results intended with diversifying head coaches. Although there is much to discuss in sport – like Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Dr. Dre's Super Bowl halftime performances and Coach Brian Flores suing the NFL and multiple teams – Shaunna and Lisa finally land in a place that requires change to be initiated from the top. Decision-makers in sport – all the way up to the International Olympic Committee – must consider the global disenfranchisement of some, to the benefit of others. I give my takes about the Coach Brian Flores situation and also top sporting news.
“Liberal states are maliciously withholding COVID vaccines from white people, and Nancy Pelosi is responsible for the January 6th Insurrection.” Call it Diary of a Madman or Trump Trivia, but my left-side brain can't connect the lumpy Trumpy dots. White Antivaxxers are now worried about being left out of vaccine distribution? The Trump army would follow Pelosi's instructions to raid her own office? There's no appropriate emoji. There's one black NFL head coach out of 32 professional teams while 60% of the players are black. The League's definition of Diversity & Inclusion doesn't seem to count for much. Coach Brian Flores has put his career on the line taking up lawsuits against the NFL, the Dolphins, the NY Giants and Denver Broncos. He joins Curt Flood, Tommie Smith, John Carlos, Muhammad Ali, Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid in the march on balanced representation. Did somebody in the Biden Administration really say journalists who question Defense Department accounts of bombings are siding with Russia and ISIS? You're kidding, right? America, don't shoot the messenger.
During this installment of your favorite podcast, we open with the award-winning apology of Joe Rogan. A video recently came to light which features him saying "N!***R" several dozen times. We explore the apology and ask what's next. We talk about the lawsuit Brian Flores has filed against the NFL for unfair hiring practices and racial discrimination. About Dell Time and I ask, was this the right move? Was this good timing? Rhianna is having a baby, does that mean we'll get a "take care part 2". We select a new month for black history month. Full Hour | In today's second hour, Giordano leads off the second hour by discussing the situation unfolding in the NFL, with former Dolphins head coach Brian Flores suing the league due to discrimination. In the allegations, Flores notes that the Giants stepped around the Rooney process in hiring new coach Brian Dabold, but also reveals that the owner of the Dolphins offered him $100,000 to lose games late in the season in an effort to acquire a higher draft spot. Giordano takes umbrage with this, and explains why tanking is the worst thing in all of sports. Then, Giordano plays back comments made by a Chester County school board member who is under fire for suggesting that the influx of illegal immigration has caused the school district to decline. Then, Dr. Marty Makary, professor at Johns Hopkins University, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the John Hopkins study released this week that suggests that lockdowns have no effect on mortality. Dr. Makary breaks down the study, telling the percentage of effect that lockdown had on curbing sickness, and comparing it to the damage done through the lockdowns. Then, Giordano asks Makary about the rhetoric surrounding the virus, asking for his opinion on why officials such as Fauci continue to discredit therapeutics that could help dig us out of the Coronavirus hole. Finally, Dr. Makary reveals a new study on natural immunity releasing tomorrow in the Journal of the American Medical Association, which opens up a whole new discussion concerning the validity of natural immunity as a solution. Yesterday former NFL Head Coach Brian Flores filed a lawsuit against the NFL and three specific teams for blatant racism and discrimination in their hiring patterns and practices. Today I want to unpack and explain why this was such a bold move for a man that is still actively interviewing for head coaching positions. We've been here before, though. And when Colin Kaepernick took a bold stand in the NFL previously, it cost him his entire career.
On today's DolphinsTalk.com Podcast, Mike, Josh, Kadeem, and Tom talk about the big breaking news from Tuesday that former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores is suing the NFL as well as he is telling a story that Miami Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross told Brian Flores he would incentivize him by paying him $100,000 for each loss the Dolphins had in 2019. To ensure the team tanked so Miami would get the #1 overall draft pick. We also talk about the issue of the lack of minority head coaches currently in the NFL, the Rooney Rule, the lack of minority owners in the NFL, and what this story and lawsuit mean for the Miami Dolphins in the short-term and in the long term. Also, how does this change the Miami Dolphins head coaching search. All of this and more on today's DolphinsTalk.com Podcast.

The Dolphins have been in the media spotlight for many wrong reasons over the last few weeks, to set the record straight, Coach Brian Flores had an exclusive interview with ESPN where he spoke about the state of his team.
