The standalone service will enter maintenance mode, meaning there will be no new features, but the service will remain operational. Florida federal judge ordered Jonathan Rinderknecht, the man charged in the deadly Palisades Fire, to remain jailed after prosecutors cited his arsonist tendencies and his family's concerns over his declining mental state. The judge questioned both his mental health and his reliability to attend future hearings in California. Flood watch was issued in San Bernardino County through Saturday night amid heavy downpours. The LAFD also released after-action reports on the Palisades Fire. Interim LAFD Chief Ronnie Villaneuva discussed what he would have done differently during the January 7th blaze. Norwalk resident Andrew Garcia, who spent hundreds on tickets for what he believed to be LeBron James' retirement game, filed a small claims lawsuit against the Lakers star for $865.66, accusing him of fraud and misrepresentation after the “Second Decision” turned out not to be about retirement. 

Members of the committee that determine the winners of the Nobel Peace Prize are reportedly having a good laugh at Donald Trump's expense. Trump has whined for years about how much he wants to win the award, both publicly and privately, and he's still eaten up by the fact that President Obama received the award many years ago. But the Committee is not impressed by anything that Trump has done, and in fact they are rather repulsed by his outlandish claims of accomplishment and his actions at home in America. White House officials were forced to admit this week that Donald Trump made a MASSIVE mistake by sending out his Truth Social post to Pam Bondi last month where he demanded that she go after his political enemies. The White House confirmed that this post was actually supposed to be a private message to Bondi, but the damage is already done. That public post is going to be used in every single trial that comes about from Bondi's actions from now until she leaves office, and it's going to get a lot, if not all, of the prosecutions thrown out. Lauren Boebert has officially launched her campaign for reelection, and she did it in the most Boebert way possible: By sending out a campaign email asking "Are Aliens real?" While there are plenty of people that want answers to that question as well as what the government knows about the issue, it is hardly a kitchen table issue for the vast majority of American families. Boebert is trying to distract people from the fact that Republicans are complete failures at governing.According to the members of the House who are trying to force a vote on the release of the Epstein files, the Republican coalition that is standing in the way is falling apart, and they are about to revolt against Donald Trump. This information came from Democrat Eric Swalwell and Republican Thomas Massie, and it shows that Republicans are feeling heat for not allowing the files to go public. This whole mess could come to an end soon, as Mike Johnson cannot continue to hold things up forever. Attorney General Pam Bondi was hauled in front of a Senate committee hearing this week, and she bombed harder than anyone could have predicted. It was so bad that even Republican senators were bashing her. But the humiliation didn't end when the hearing ended because a photographer was able to capture her handwritten notes that she brought into the meeting, and they were the most pathetic talking points possible. On Wednesday, President Donald Trump unleashed a strange Truth Social rant declaring straight out that farmers are getting hurt because China is not buying soybeans. Of course, Trump's own trade wars are the reason for this, so he in effect admitted that his own policies are badly screwing one of his core constituencies. This comes as the ADP report finds that the economy lost 32,000 jobs in September, suggesting job losses could now get worse. All this bad economic news is piling up just as we're entering a bruising government shutdown fight, which will make the economy even worse. So are Trump and Republicans in a weak enough position for Democrats to hold the line in the shutdown fight?
