The Iowa Hawkeyes defense proves once again that they are one of the best in the country. Maryland's Taulia Tagovailoa entered Saturday as one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the country. Phil Parker's defense responded by intercepting five Tagovailoa passes and forced seven turnovers in a 51-14 rout of the Terps. Iowa quarterback Spencer Petras put together his best career start and has silenced his critics. It's game day and we have you covered with everything you need to know going into tonight's matchup between the Iowa Hawkeyes and Maryland Terrapins. Maryland comes in with a highly touted offense, but I believe Phil Parker's defense is going to shut down the hype and Matt Hankins and Riley Moss will make sure Terps QB Taulia Tagovailoa knows their names by the end of the night. Offensively, look for Spencer Petras to be the catalyst of this offense and expect the playbook to open up a bit more as the Iowa Hawkeye's offense looks to get a jolt against a defense that has been solid to start the season. Coming off a disappointing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, the Buffalo Bills look for their first win of the season when they travel to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins. On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D'Amico have everything you need to know to get ready for Buffalo's first road game of the year. Among the topics discussed: Why All Pro quarterback Josh Allen enjoys playing the Miami Dolphins so much. How the Bills' offense can revert back to its record-setting ways from last year by utilizing more play action and getting contributions from the ground game. Should Bills fans be concerned about the offensive line, which was tormented by T.J. Watt, Cameron Heyward and a stout Pittsburgh front four? Why Miami's blitz-heavy tendencies should allow for wide receivers Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Emmanuel Sanders, and Gabriel Davis to enjoy big days against the Dolphins secondary. Why Ed Oliver, Jerry Hughes, Greg Rousseau and the defensive line should be able to take advantage of a weak Dolphins offensive line. How Buffalo can capitalize on Tua Tagovailoa's penchant for turning the ball over, and why Boccacino and D'Amico both feel like the Bills defense will force multiple turnovers while getting after Tagovailoa. What Will Fuller's absence means to Miami's passing attack, and whether the Bills defense will continue playing more man-to-man against Miami's talented wideouts, or whether the Bills will revert back to more zone-heavy looks? Boccacino and D'Amico then offer up their score predictions for the game. Feel free to leave yours in the comments section. On today's episode, Jason interrupts his much-needed vacation to share his thoughts on the 5 biggest headlines to come out of Sunday's Week 11 NFL action. First, he explains why Patrick Mahomes' latest heroic victory - this time against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Night Football - is just another reason why he may go down in history as the Greatest Quarterback of All-Time. You need him to throw an 80-yard bomb? No problem. You want him to check it down all the way to the endzone? He can do that, too. No matter what the situation is, you can count on Mahomes to get it done. The second biggest story of the day took place in Miami where Dolphins head coach Brian Flores inexplicably benched rookie quarterback Tagovailoa late in their loss to the Denver Broncos. Tua was having a rough game, and that's putting it mildly, but part of developing a young quarterback is letting him learn from experiences like that. Flores may have done irreparable harm to his franchise player. Next, Jason explains why Aaron Rodgers could go down in history as the LeBron James of the NFL. On one hand, they're both arguably the greatest to ever do it in the sports that they play; on the other, they're likely both going to end their careers with less rings than you'd expect a player of that caliber to have. For whatever reason, Rodgers can't seem to get it done in overtime games. Unless he can find a way to get that ship righted he's never going to win another Super Bowl. The fourth biggest story of the day has to be the deterioration of Carson Wentz. At one point, Wentz was an MVP front-runner destined to take over the League. Now? He’s arguably the worst starting quarterback in all of football. It might be too soon to turn the keys over to Jalen Hurts given Wentz’ contract situation, but the idea definitely needs to be on the table moving forward. Later, Jason tells us why Taysom Hill should be thanking the New Orleans Saints for helping him get the win in his first NFL start against the Atlanta Falcons. That’s not to say that Hill played poorly – he played pretty well actually – but the Saints defense has been lights out for three straight weeks now. If they can keep it up, they should be the favorites to win the NFC. Finally, Jason closes things out with the Monday Night Football edition of the Best Bet. Let’s just hope it does better than his Sunday picks. Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers

On Sunday, Tua Tagovailoa got his first start for the Dolphins and picked up a win over the Rams, almost one year after the hip injury that ended his career at Alabama. Today, we’re joined by The Athletic’s Josh Tolentino to discuss why Miami turned to Tagovailoa now, how he played in his debut, and the bond that has formed between the rookie and the player he replaced — veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Well, that didn’t take long. Less than two months into his first season with the franchise, Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is already the target of scrutiny after reports his players have lost confidence in his coaching following an embarrassing 38-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. Terez Paylor & Charles Robinson open the podcast marveling at how quickly McCarthy’s good will has faded and how this particular instance has echoes of his final days with the Green Bay Packers.Next, Terez & Charles discuss the Buffalo Bills’ loss on Monday to the Kansas City Chiefs. Was the early-season Josh Allen hype unfounded or did the Bills just get handled by a better team? Also, Terez explains why Clyde Edwards-Helaire & Le’Veon Bell are not competitors for the same share of snaps, but rather complementary pieces on Kansas City’s burgeoning run-game. (13:50)On Tuesday, the Miami Dolphins announced they would be benching QB Ryan Fitzpatrick in favor of rookie Tua Tagovailoa. The guys explain why it was time for Miami to get the show on the road after the early success of Tagovailoa’s fellow first-rounders Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert. (21:00)In a week, Antonio Brown’s eight-game suspension is due to conclude and the Seattle Seahawks have been deemed the favorites to land the troubled wideout. Our experts take an early victory lap after they had been predicting this uneasy marriage for a few months now, however Brown’s leash will be undeniably short due to the complicating factors of the COVID season. (26:25)Speaking of COVID, the Las Vegas Raiders were forced to send all five of their starting offensive linemen home after contact tracing declared them potentially susceptible to COVID-19 after a single positive test on the team. Charles & Terez break down how this unfortunate situation will continue to rear its ugly head all season. Likewise, they discuss the possibility of the Super Bowl being pushed back as far as a month later than its typical early February date. (32:05)Finally, our experts close out the podcast previewing five matchups to keep an eye on this upcoming weekend.
