Isn't it weird how some of the most random coincidences seem to happen like watching 2 different episodes of the same show that aired 50+ years apart both feature space virus' ? Well in this weeks episode of Doctor Who Wednesdays we start off with #13's episode "Praxeus" about a virus that earth was exposed to that inevitably turns you to dust! So much Doctor Who and so little time! On this brand new episode of "Doctor Who Wednesday" we start you off with one shocker of a current Doctor segment full of twists and turns! "The Fugitive of the Judoon" seemingly came out of no where with all that was revealed in this one episode. as we gathered our thoughts we moved on a old doctor but at new one to us. #3 Jon Pertwee. Landing on Earth in a daze the doctor is intercepted by U.N.I.T. coincidentally arriving at the same time as a mysterious meteor shower landed on earth. Finding his footing this new Doctor joins U.N.I.T. in tracking down the mystery behind the meteors and the mannequin like alien life forms that go along with it. As for "Doom Coalition" is part 2 a doozy! We see the return of the Voord, if you don't remember they first appeared in the 1st Doctors run in "Keys of MarInus". Then Landing the Tardis on another Tardis! and ending in an epic battle with a Psychic Time Lord known as "The Sonomancer" with the ability to manipulate sound. Be sure to come back next Wednesday for "Praxeus" where the 13th Doctor and her Fam. must fight to save the world from a disease like no other ever seen on Earth. and we take on the 3rd Doctors next series a 7 episode run where we see the first appearance of the ancient Earth beings The Silurians. A group of reptilian beings who's technology is well beyond anything we would imagine any ancient civilization would have. oh and you know one of them become companions in about 50 years or so. That brings us to Doom Coalition Part 3! to sum up whats to come lets just say these 4 episodes are a race against time. A race if not won could be detrimental to the existence of life everywhere! On this most adventure filled episode of Doctor Who Wednesdays we Talk about 3 Different adventures The Doctor and The Companions went on. The newest of which is Jodie Whittaker and her gangs happen stance of being on a fully automated rescue ship a few days trip from the TARDIS just as a space creature called The Pting latches onto the ship and begins to devourer everything in sight. The next one is the beginning of an adventure with the 8th Doctor. Paul McGann's 8th Doctor was short lived on the small screen, but he as lived on in The Big Finish's Audio Plays. Where we begin in this sense is The Doom Coalition. In Doom Coalition 1 ,a 4 episode box set, we meet The Eleven a Time Lord with 11 different regenerations that all happened at once thus rendering him mad. across these 4 story's the Doctor and his companions are chasing the escaped Eleven though time and space only to find there selves in what seems maybe a trap. Then lastly we have The Mind Robber. A Classic Second Doctor adventure with Companions Jamie and Zoey where the TARDIS is stuck between dimensions. Episode 43 of the Doctor Who: Alhambra Podcast In this episode of the Alhambra Podcast, the trio of Brett (@Mavic_Chen) and Liam (@djNezumi) and Legeon (@legeonhenderson) reunite and bring an enjoyable hour (or more) discussion and sci-fi silliness for the month of October 2016. Starting off with the news!  We are not reviewing Doctor Who - CLASS until it is released visually on BBC America, which will be around January 2017.  We discussed the release of Doctor Who CLASS three book release by BBC books.   Talking points:  " If you could only one choice one boxed set "Doom Coalition" or "War Doctor" or other boxed set series, what would it be and why?  I read a transcript from Whooverville 8 panel interview, from the Pubcast and Tin-Dog Podcast.  Here is the transcript that I made and read on the podcast.  It's not exact word-for-word.   Question from the Pubcast: “Is there anything you would have liked to do on Doctor Who that you weren't able to do?” Eric Seyward: “I would have like to have a female companion a little bit tougher, a little bit more real, to contribute a little bit more.  Tegan and Nyssa became redundant, it was difficult to fit them into stories.  Tegan spent most of her time moaning, and Nyssa looking aloof and whatever.  We had so many of them, Turlough, so three of them at one stage. With the exception of Turlough, they really couldn't contribute massively, because when you are driving around in deep space in a TARDIS.  Tegan is from 1980 Earth, and she couldn't really contribute, because whenever they arrived somewhere she has to ask questions, and it makes her boring.  But I would have liked to have had fewer companion, if you had a female one, certainly one that is stronger more positive contribution. The Tin Dog Podcast: You seem to have a whole world building thing with them, rather than having them as the Villain of the Week.  They had a society and they built beautiful things like androids.  It sounds like there was more thought put in them than other... Eric Seyward: - Goes into the backstory of the Terileptil (However) The Tin Dog goes onto ask Eric Seyward about the story of The Visitation, noting that this story was the one selected as the story for the book “The Making of Doctor Who.” By the way The Tin Dog asked this question, you can tell this is a special story to Michael, and wants to know more, saying that fans didn't have access to much Doctor Who content, so when it came out it was loved and cherished. The Big Finish podcast returns! Nicholas Briggs and Joseph Smith present a special preview of our new Doctor Who epic, and there's some news about our Davros audios...

Episode 19 of the Doctor Who: Alhambra podcast begins with a quick discussion of what we've been watching or listening to since the last podcast.   During the news segment we discuss DWM #285 celebration issue of Ten years of Doctor Who back on TV. Share thoughts of what we like and what we don't like, and Liam argues that perhaps Big Finish's Doctor Who releases were better than some of the TV stuff. Brett argues that it all went down hill when RTD left as it became more of a who's the companion compared to the Doctor's story, also perhaps Matt Smith's departure could have messed with Moffat's overall plan. From there we continue the saga discussion known as The State of Big Finish, as we again vent our frustrations with lack of discounts for the big supporters of many of their ranges, yet do crazy discount price reductions that give random guy a +50% discount on a large portion of their ranges.  Liam informs me about an American radio show featuring zombies, where which Brett randomly complains about the zombie genre.  We smoothly transition to Survivors Series 2 box set trailer release, to the 8th Doctor Doom Coalition release, as well as the great news of Big Finish retaining their Doctor Who license till the year 2020.  As we turn our attention to the releases for the month of March, we discuss the last of the E-Space trilogy for the 5th Doctor main range, probably one of the best releases for this trilogy.  We discuss some of the releases you might need to listen to, #136 Cobwebs, #174 Prisoners of Fate also written by Jonathan Morris, who also penned #197 The Entrophy Plague (if you haven't purchased or listened to all of the main range releases once Big Finish reunited the crowded Tardis, these would be the ones you'd need to listen to in order to understand the timeline of Nyssa).  Then we get to discuss the 4th Doctor Adventures, and this release, 4.03 Requiem for the Rocket Men by John Dorney, is one of the first releases in which Liam and Brett have a difference of opinion regarding this range (the first one being 3.02 White Ghosts).  We finish off the podcast with Liam giving his thoughts on Blake's 7 Ghost Ship (February) and Devil's Advocate (March), and Vienna Series 2.
