Born and raised in Tennessee, Elizabeth showed great promise in both the arts and mathematics. She first specialized in engineering, earning an M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and working in several engineering jobs. In 2012, she moved to Seattle, WA, and in 2015 decided to nurture her artistic side through woodworking. Her first creations included several pieces of furniture in the Arts & Crafts style, but she eventually turned to smaller objects and now specializes in bowls, spoons, and boxes. Her skills range from natural finish and simple forms to highly carved and painted forms that emulate natural motifs. She is the AAW's 2023 POP Artist Showcase recipient, and teaches woodturning at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, WA and the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC. Billy wrote this song with a Christmas theme instead of making an entire schmaltzy holiday album. Although never released as a single, there's is an amazing music video for it. In 1971 the world got introduced to Gene Hackman, Willy Wonka and Dirty Harry and in November of that year that dude from the Hassles went solo and put out his first album as a singer songwriter, entitled “Cold Spring Harbor”. She's Got a Way is the first song from the first album anyone ever heard from Billy Joel and today we discuss the heck out of it. Billy re-recorded a live version of the song on his album Songs in the Attic so people could hear it without the chipmunk sound off Cold Spring Harbor and thank goodness for that. Unfortunately, it's another song about his ex-wife Elizabeth Webber so -- here we go again. For years, a dream of mine has been to have a team of people supporting me in the work that I do, lifting up women to be their happiest, best, most empowered selves. Elizabeth is a branding expert, graphic designer, and stationer, and she and cofounded The Happy Woman Shop last year. Jessica is the reason that we were able to have a super successful Women's Global Happiness Day in October 2018, and she's the most dedicated and capable assistant I could dream of having. We discuss the importance of being a part of a supportive sisterhood (Elizabeth and Jess have both been in my EMPOWERED program), and why it's so uncommon in our society today.     This week, General Hospital fans lost the most popular character in daytime history, Jason Morgan, the most notorious hit man with a heart of gold.  Steve Burton has been playing the role of Jason Morgan for the past 21 years.  Throughout the years, Steve has brought to life the character of Jason, whom has loved and lost such women as Robin Scorpio, Elizabeth Webber, Courtney Matthews and Sam McCall.  Jason was married to Brenda Barrett only for convenience sake.  But through it all, Steve made the audience feel love for the character. In spite of his profession of being a hit man, Steve managed to make the audience cheer and root for him in spite of his profession which not only made him the most popular character on daytime but also the most loved actor on daytime. This could only be accomplished through the skills of an amazing and excellent actor Steve Burton is all of these things and more.  Steve's fans range in age from young to old which just shows his appeal and his ability to continue to be a household name.  Come and share your favorite memories of Jason Morgan and love for Steve Burton. Daytime Confidential/Pop Confidential’s Luke, Jamey, Jillian and Regan returned to Sirius XM's The Morning Jolt With Larry Flick Friday, November 5 for two hours of daytime and pop culture dissection with Flick and his partner-in-snark Keith Price. In the wild first hour, Larry let loose with several comments about General Hospital’s Elizabeth Webber that had Jamey, Luke and Regan howling in defense of their sacred heroine, as DC's lone JaSam fan Jillian cheered. The return of Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo as Brenda Barrett was also discussed. Does the veteran Billboard writer and radio personality feel the story is limping along like the DC'ers? The discussion shifted to One Life to Live, the show Larry previously said should be canceled the last time the gang appeared.
