It's a busy week in Port Charles! And Croatia! Maxie is alive but not awake! Who will solve the mystery of why?! The good news is everyone is growing as a result of Maxie's brush with death. Except Drew. And maybe Willow. Cody is doing some soul searching, and Tracy is providing some lovely support and encouragement. Brook Lynn and Lulu are feeling like stinkers for being so mean to each other, and everyone is ready for them to bury the hatchet. Ditto Lulu and Liesl. It's nice to see everyone trying. Except Drew. And maybe Willow. Also great to see Martin part ways with Drew. Meanwhile in Croatia, will Jason and Britt ever be friends again? And what will happen with Joss and Vaughn? Maybe spies have to sleep with each other?

Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt General Hospital sees Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is living incognito in Croatia at a luxurious resort, but her freedom is limited. The resort manager, Pascal (Marc Forget), who is under the same boss as Britt, is keeping an eye on her movements. Britt has been seen administering medication to herself, possibly a treatment for her Huntington's disease, which could have been developed by her mysterious boss, Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard). GH sees Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) theorizes that Britt is hiding to prevent her loved ones from witnessing her deterioration due to the disease. However, there could be more to her disappearance, with speculation that her boss may have threatened her loved ones, including her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), to ensure her cooperation. General Hospital sees there's also speculation that the boss could be Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), a Casadine known for his obsession with Liesl. In the coming episodes, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Anna DeVane (Finola Hughes) are headed to Croatia, setting the stage for a potential reunion with Britt. What is up with Willow? Is she good? Bad? Really bad? Can she be helped? Is this some elaborate plot to lose custody of Wiley permanently? And what is up with Lulu? She is really bad. Really, really bad. Rocco should get an apartment with Liesl. Looks like Anna's apartment might be available soon. And how bad is Ava? Rubbing ice all over the place. That's primetime soap opera behavior! At least it's the good kind of ice. Seems to be working. Cody isn't going to know what hit him. Finally, how much time are our friends going to be spending in their softball uniforms? Hard to get excited about that. P.S. Very sorry if you tried to find the video of Episode 384. Gia and Keisha are back and dressed as Ava and Tracy (or maybe just dressed as a couple of ladies who don't know how to pump their own gas). They're also still on vacation, so don't expect a lot of wisdom. Any wisdom. But they do like the Five Poppies merch and would like some. They would also like Brook Lynn and Chase to stay together and be happy, so please be nice to Brook Lynn, Gio. And they continue to be impressed by Gio and Emma's friendship. Hopefully, all of this lab stuff will play out in a way that doesn't harm any beagles or Gio or Britt. It would be lovely if Liesl could see her Britta again. P.S. Gia is in Maine! Gia and Keisha are sharing a microphone! This may be a mistake. Plus, there are adult beverages. Adult beverages do not equal adult behavior. So, apologies all around. But, on the General Hospital front, Gia and Keisha are still capable of recognizing great characters, great writing, and great acting! Best mom of the year is probably a tie between Laura and Elizabeth. They're both so lovely in the way they dispense wisdom and guidance. Gia and Keisha could use some of that. A round of applause also to Rocco for reaching out to Laura and defending Liesl, to Portia, Nina, and Curtis for being quite civil to each other and looking good at the same time, and to Willow for leaving it all out there. And just knowing Britt is alive and Jason is looking for her is very exciting. Daily Soap Opera Spoilers by Soap Dirt (GH, Y&R, B&B, and DOOL)
Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt General Hospital sees the return of Kelly Thiebaud reprising her role as Britt Westbourne. However, the mystery surrounding her character's death leaves viewers with questions. The ABC soap opera has the task of unraveling Britt's death without alienating its fans. In recent episodes, Jason Morgan, played by Steve Burton, spotted a familiar face, Britt, at an airport. Also making an appearance in Croatia are Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and agents Josh Duhamel (Leo du Pres) and Vaughn (Bryce Durfee), adding fuel to the rumors that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), is working with Dalton. General Hospital writers face the challenge of explaining how Britt survived not just the poison hook attack by Heather Webber (Alley Mills) but also her diagnosis of Huntington's disease. Speculations are rife with theories ranging from Britt being a clone created in Dalton's lab to her Huntington's diagnosis being faked as a part of a revenge plot. Another theory suggests that Britt could be a secret twin, with her memories overwritten by Liesl using WSB memory mapping. GH sees Britt's path intersects with Dalton's courier in Croatia, hinting at a possible connection. Fans eagerly await to see how General Hospital will handle Britt's resurrection and whether a second chance at romance with Jason Morgan is on the horizon. Liesl hit the ground running! She could see right away that Willow was a mess, and maybe she can help Nina do something about it. And if it involves burying Drew alive, there will be rejoicing throughout the land! Meanwhile, Sasha has taken her hairy baby to visit with Robert. Poor Robert. But how sweet that they get to be together as a family. And Britt has been spotted! Will Jason leave Sonny to deal with Sidwell and go off in search of her? Let's hope so! Finally, Joss and Vaughn, Carly and Jack. Maybe WSB men just aren't that special. The PCPD could put together a better calendar. P.S. James talks about the latest appearences of Liesl and Robert on General Hospital!
A Table at the Tan-O: Conversations About the World of General Hospital
Liesl is back!!!!! That's the good news. That might be all of the good news. The bad news: Nina betrayed Sonny (who was very understanding--he really has come a long way, except for the occasional murder). Sasha and Daisy left Michael with just the two lesser children. Portia was given a very unpleasant assignment (although this might be the perfect way for Michael to rid himself of the aforementioned children). Isaiah has been given a sh*tbox in the woods (where Willow might turn up with these same troublesome, lackluster children). Oh, and Marco missed his mom's funeral. So a lot of balls in the air. P.S. Lulu is the worst. #mauricebenard #kellythiebaud #rogerhowarth #maurawest #steveburton #delirious #barshampoo #daydrinkingwithsethmeyers #hillstreetblues #kinshriner #nicholaschavez #afterlife #rickygervais #hallandoates #superstore #freaksandgeeks #freefallin #alanarkin #newgirl #lamornemorris #colonoscopy #takethenap #alleymills #billylibby #chickadee #fortgorgeous #robertgossett #daydrinkingwithsethmeyers #marcuscoloma #useastaplegun #riptwitch #ripepiphany #ripsonyaeddy #waywardchickadee #barshampoo #ripmiffy #lovedogs #justinebateman #brookeshields #neilgaiman #dnice #cq #deborahcox #malcolmjamalwarner #lume #godzillaminusone #ripjacklynzeman #jasonmomoa #adambelanoff #thecloser #majorcrimes #wings #murphybrown #thecosbyshow #pinkalicious #ripbillymiller #ripmatthewperry #riptylerchristopher #riplesliecharleson #ripandrebraugher #ripjohnnywactor #dutchbarnvodka #chadduell #rickygervaisrobot #colinfromaccounts

Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt General Hospital fans are in for a treat as Liesl Obrecht, played by the talented Kathleen Gati, makes her return to Port Charles. Her comeback coincides with the ongoing tension between her niece, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison). Obrecht's unexpected return seems to be spurred by an email from Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), who she shares a unique bond with. The young actor hinted that Rocco has dressed to impress for their meeting. GH sees Obrecht's return isn't all about family reunions. The cunning doctor is also likely to get involved in Nina's ongoing predicament with Drew. Nina's life has been in turmoil due to Drew's blackmail and controlling behavior, and the return of her aunt Liesl could be the support she needs. Known for her ruthlessness, Liesl is not one to stand by while her family is threatened. General Hospital fans see the speculation is that Liesl might join forces with Nina to bring down Drew and free her from his manipulative grasp. But with Liesl's history of questionable actions and Drew's transformation from a decent man to a power-hungry individual, anything can happen. In this hilariously unfiltered and surprisingly heartfelt episode, Stephanie recaps her post-Cruel Jewel adventure at the Great Divide 100 in Colorado with guests Ben Bridgeman and Liesl Standish. After a last-minute pivot to avoid altitude overload, Stephanie takes us through her thought process behind picking this particular race just three weeks after finishing one of the most brutal 100-milers in the Southeast. With loops at a “mild” 9,200–9,800 ft elevation and a deceptively runnable course, she thought this would be a safer bet. Spoiler: it wasn't.Liesl and Ben—now proud Coloradans—served as her pacers and emotional lifelines as the race devolved from high hopes to high-altitude hell. The episode dives into the emotional rollercoaster that comes with racing at elevation while undertrained and over-beered, the importance of having the right people by your side, and the unique energy of grassroots trail races. There's discussion on course markings, shade-hopping strategies, and the shock of how 65 degrees in Colorado sun hits different than in Texas. But it's not all suffering and sunscreen. Between the shade breaks, trail hallucinations, and one hilariously defiant mantra—let's just say it wasn't about “having balls”—this episode is packed with raw trail wisdom, post-race reflection, and the kind of unfiltered fun you can only have when you're running on fumes and friendship.Photo Credit: Zach JohnsonBe sure to subscribe to the podcast wherever you listen, and we always appreciate you leaving a good rate and review. This week on End Credits, we flirt with danger. We've never had to survive a plane crash - or six - but we have survived nearly that many Wes Anderson movies together, and on this episode we will survive another. Probably. Tune in today as we decode The Phoenician Scheme and as we talk about a slightly older, and slightly more controversial movie from the past. This Wednesday, June 18, at 3 pm, Adam A. Donaldson and Peter Salmon will discuss: The Passion of Dogma. A lot of great movies came out in 1999, and one of them is Kevin Smith's Dogma! The film has been somewhat lost due to the complex tangle of rights issues, and the fact that Harvey Weinstein is a professional @$$hole, but now Dogma is back in theatres for what's essentially its 25th anniversary engagement. So this week we will revisit the near-blasphemous pleasures of what may be Smith's best film! REVIEW: The Phoenician Scheme (2025). Wes Anderson is back with another tale about a dysfunctional family with a dangerously eccentric patriarch. Benicio del Toro plays Zsa Zsa Korda, a mid-century tycoon whose latest scheme has upset the business world to the point where they're trying to eliminate him. What does Korda do? Recruit his estranged daughter Liesl, a nun, and a Norwegian entomologist to help put together one last business score, The Phoenician Scheme! So has Anderson done it again with another meticulous tale? End Credits is on CFRU 93.3 fm and cfru.ca Wednesday at 3 pm.

Send us a textOn our 107th podcast, we here at the Triple FFF thought we'd try to once again attempt relevance and discuss a current big release, this time Wes Anderson's 2025 father-daughter high stakes business and espionage caper The Phoenician Scheme starring Benicio Del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Riz Ahmed, Scarlet Johansson, Mathieu Amalric, Jeffrey Wright, Rupert Friend and Benedict Cumberbatch. I'm your host Gino Caputi and my guests this week are the always dependable show regulars Joe Field, David Johnson DMD and Gordon Alex RobertsonThe Phoenician Scheme's plot unfolds as follows: After surviving yet another assassination attempt, this time with a glimpse of the afterlife, wealthy arms dealer and industrialist Anatole Zsa-Zsa Korda realizes his days are numbered and possibly without purpose. Hoping to reconnect with his estranged daughter Liesl—now on the verge of taking her final vows as a Catholic nun—he names her the sole heir to his estate. In exchange for long-withheld truths about her mother's murder, Korda convinces Liesl to accompany him on a whirlwind journey to secure funding from several colorfully shady investors for his grand, multi-layered Phoenician Scheme—plans for which are ingeniously stored in a series of shoeboxes.Where does this film rank within Wes Anderson's collection of stories about larger-than-life, big talking fathers of dubious emotional and financial sincerity?

We are going from dark to darker (and not just because we are underground!), and it only gets worse from here, so let your heartstrings be tugged on as we get through this ordeal the only way we know how!

Stephen Rowley, Ph.D., is a psychotherapist practicing on Bainbridge Island,Washington. He is an adoptee and the father of an adopted son. Born in 1949 to anunwed mother, he was adopted at six months and enjoyed the benefits of growing up in a loving and affluent home. At age 13 he became deeply curious about his parentage. Not until college did he have the means to begin a lifelong quest to find his birth mother and his true identity. After years of investigation, he finally found his birth mother living in tragic circumstances. However, their poignant reunion vastly exceeded their expectations of finding each other when their souls finally reunited. As told through his memoir, Rowley traces the inner life of an adoptee, not simply the external narrative of his lifelong search. The Lost Coin: A Memoir of Adoption and Destiny (Chiron Publications, Sept. 2023).
