In "Why GenLogs is Critical for the Next Generation of Supply Chain" Joe Lynch and Danielle Spinelli, Director of Partnerships at GenLogs, discuss how visual truck intelligence provides a physical "truth layer" to combat cargo theft and verify carrier capacity. About Danielle Spinelli Danielle Spinelli is the Director of Partnerships at Genlogs with over a decade of experience in logistics, carrier vetting, and cargo theft prevention. She also hosts the Tell Me Everything podcast, sharing insights on freight fraud, logistics trends, and supply chain security. About GenLogs GenLogs is the Truck Intelligence™ platform that uses AI across a nationwide network of roadside sensors, satellites, and proprietary datasets to track all U.S. commercial vehicle patterns and drive better business outcomes across trucking, logistics, insurance, real estate, finance, and government. Key Takeaways: Why GenLogs is Critical for the Next Generation of Supply Chain In "Why GenLogs is Critical for the Next Generation of Supply Chain" Joe Lynch and Danielle Spinelli, Director of Partnerships at GenLogs, discuss how visual truck intelligence provides a physical "truth layer" to combat cargo theft and verify carrier capacity. The Power of a "Physical Footprint": While the industry has long relied on a digital footprint (ELDs and self-reported data) for carrier vetting, GenLogs introduces a "truth layer" through a physical footprint. By capturing 15 million images daily, they provide visual proof of a carrier's actual activity versus what is reported on paper. Combatting "Chameleon Carriers": The interview highlights the danger of chameleon carriers—entities that frequently change MC numbers or swap magnetic placards to hide poor safety records or involvement in fraud. GenLogs' network can track a single truck as it operates under multiple identities, flagging suspicious behavior. * The "Ring Camera" for Highways: Danielle describes the GenLogs network as a "Ring for the highways." With specialized "Trident" cameras deployed across major U.S. interstates, the platform achieves a 98% carrier sighting rate, providing massive visibility into commercial vehicle patterns. Advanced Cargo Theft Recovery: Beyond just prevention, the platform is an active tool for recovery. By analyzing historical sightings and specific truck markings (like unique mud flaps or bumper damage), the team has helped recover over 5,000 trailers in just two years. Bridging the Law Enforcement Gap: Because local police often lack the jurisdiction or resources to track freight across state lines, GenLogs acts as a critical bridge. They collaborate directly with the FBI and FMCSA to provide the data necessary to prosecute large-scale criminal schemes rather than isolated incidents. Beyond Security: Lanes and Capacity: The data serves a dual purpose for brokers and shippers as "Shipper Intelligence." It allows users to see which carriers are actually running specific lanes—even those who don't post on load boards—helping brokers expand their business with existing shippers by identifying untapped capacity. The Future of Integration: The "next generation" of this tech lies in seamless integration. Danielle's focus is on connecting this visual data directly into TMS platforms, allowing brokers to see a photo of the truck assigned to their load as a final line of defense before the shipment picks up. Scaling higher education is no longer a theoretical strategy. As the sector moves deeper into consolidation, institutional leaders need to confront whether their operating models, credential structures, partnerships, and delivery systems are built for the market ahead. In this episode of the Changing Higher Ed® podcast, Dr. Drumm McNaughton speaks with Dr. Stephen Spinelli, President of Babson College, about how an entrepreneurial mindset can help higher education respond to consolidation, AI disruption, and changing learner expectations. Drawing from his experience as co-founder of Jiffy Lube International and president of one of the nation's leading entrepreneurship institutions, Spinelli explains why higher education's anti-scale culture has become a strategic problem. He argues that demand for learning is growing, but the sector's delivery model has not kept pace with what students, employers, and adult learners now need. The conversation covers how AI is changing the economics of small-unit, high-quality education, why credentials are likely to become more modular and measurable, and how partnerships with other institutions and industry will shape the next era of higher education. Spinelli also outlines why strategy must be tied to action, accountability, and institutional values that do not shift with every market signal. This episode is especially relevant for presidents, boards, and senior leaders working through questions of scale, consolidation, strategic partnerships, AI-enabled learning, and long-term institutional relevance. Topics Covered Why higher education is showing classic signs of market consolidation How anti-scale thinking limits institutional durability and adaptability Why demand for learning is growing while delivery models lag behind How agentic AI changes the economics of small-unit education Why credentials may become smaller, more measurable, and more industry-aligned How strategic partnerships may extend beyond institutions into corporate and industry networks Why lifelong learner relationships may become a new revenue and relevance model How quarterly board-level strategic execution reviews keep institutions accountable Why liberal arts capabilities matter more in an AI-enabled environment Real-World Examples Discussed Jiffy Lube's early growth model and what it taught Spinelli about scale Babson's shift from entrepreneurship to entrepreneurial leadership Babson's network of 45 or 46 partner schools building entrepreneurial leadership capacity A group of seven New England institutions exploring partnership models to save resources AI-supported teaching models that could allow one expert to reach far more learners The doctor, lawyer, educator relationship model for lifelong learning Three Key Takeaways for Higher Education Leadership Institutions need a crisp and understandable value proposition that clearly explains why they exist and what they believe. Mission and values must drive strategy so institutions can adapt their actions without abandoning their core purpose. Strategic plans must be actionable, measurable, and reviewed regularly by the board so they inform decisions instead of sitting unused. This episode offers a direct look at what higher education leaders need to confront as consolidation, AI, modular learning, and partnership-driven delivery reshape the sector. If you missed part one, go back and listen before jumping into this one. We also re-released our book club episode on The Secret Life of Damian Spinelli right before this, because that is exactly where part one wrapped up. Part two covers 2012 through 2016, and it is a lot. We are talking Todd Manning, Franco, A.J. Quartermaine, the Georgie custody battle, Ric Lansing, Luke Spencer, and some of Diane's most important work alongside Alexis Davis. Somehow this is all one person's caseload. We get into Todd Manning and the baby switch, the conflict of interest juggling act with Johnny Zacchara, the guardianship hearing for Connie Falconeri, and that pretrial hearing where Diane walked into a courtroom and pulled a brain tumor in a jar out of a paper bag. The prosecutor called it a cheap stunt. The judge called it a valid legal point. From there we cover A.J. Quartermaine's murder defense, the Maxie and Spinelli custody battle for Georgie, Ric Lansing, Luke Spencer facing some of the most serious charges Port Charles has ever seen, and Diane working alongside Alexis through the entire Julian Jerome situation, inside the courtroom and out. Part three picks up in 2017. Join us Monday for this week's recap. We will meet you at the pier. This week we are recapping April 13 through April 17, 2026. No Port Charles Pipeline this week, so we got straight into it. Ric showed up at Alexis's door with news that Danny had gone to Sonny about joining the mob, and somehow the situation ended with a ball gag, a Halloween costume excuse, and Ric earning a rare brownie point. Dante took Danny and Rocco to the batting cages to get them talking, and after he left they actually did. Meanwhile Willow told Nina she was the one who shot Drew, handed her a syringe, and then used the fingerprints on it as leverage. Nina tried to dispose of the needle in a Ziploc bag. Willow pointed out that is not how sharps work. Drew blinked through the whole thing and Nina never figured out what he was trying to say. Joss approached Cassius at the gym and the whole conversation felt off from the start. He went home and started replaying it, which is not great when you are the lead detective on Marco's case. Ezra had a rough week, ended up drunk at the Brown Dog, and Laura brought him home. By the time she came back with coffee he was passed out on her couch. He rallied like someone twenty years younger and the two of them came up with a plan to take down Sidwell. Shannon does not trust that it ends well for Ezra. Willow also went after Jacinda at her office, and Jacinda held her ground completely. Friday's Hulu headline told us everything about Ethan Lovett's return before the episode even started, and we are officially mad about it. Thursday's Port Charles 411 is part two of Diane, which turns out to be three parts because that woman has done a lot. We are also re-releasing our Spinelli episode as a bonus episode since Ethan is back and it has been a few years. Episódio analisa a atuação vascaína na vitória sobre o São Paulo. O que mudou no segundo tempo? Adson, Brenner e Spinelli devem ser titulares? Qual será a escalação na terça? Dá o play!
We are rereleasing our August 2020 book club episode as a companion to this week's Port Charles 411 all about Diane Miller. Since Carolyn Hennessey, who plays Diane, wrote this book, it felt like the perfect time to bring it back. The Secret Life of Damian Spinelli is a 2011 novel written by Hennessey as a tie-in to General Hospital, released on April 5, 2011 to coincide with the show's 48th anniversary. The format is chapter by chapter, each featuring a different Port Charles character, with Spinelli narrating his cases to Diane late at night. Shannon and Amanda break down their favorite chapters, including Edward searching for Lila's ghost on the family yacht, Tracy holding Luke captive only for Spinelli to discover Luke could have left the whole time, Alan haunting Monica and asking for a second chance, and Helena believing Alexis is actually her long dead sister Christina. They also get into the chapters that were harder to buy, including Jason and Spinelli going undercover in Sam's band, a very unexpected Carly storyline, and a Brenda ending that left some questions. If you enjoy the book club content, check our back catalog for other episodes covering books connected to General Hospital. Have a suggestion for a future read? Email us at pier54podcast@gmail.com. It was a dramatic week in Port Charles with new mysteries and shifting relationships. Brook Lynn and Chase rushed a pregnant woman named Delilah to the hospital, but she did not survive the emergency C-section, leaving behind a baby girl with no identification and a mysterious tattoo that may become important later. Lulu and Nathan's growing connection was exposed when Felicia caught them kissing. Lulu later told Maxie the truth, leading to an emotional conversation about Nathan's return and Maxie's complicated feelings after choosing Spinelli. Curtis struggled with signing the papers to sell the house he once shared with Portia, while Jordan began questioning whether she might be pregnant. Meanwhile, Willow continued pushing forward with her political ambitions as Drew remained unable to communicate. Things escalated when Josslyn discovered Valentin hiding in Carly's attic, revealing that Carly already knew Josslyn had joined the WSB. Their confrontation forced Carly to face the impact Sonny's world has had on her family. Later, Valentin tried to comfort Carly as she processed everything Josslyn said, and the emotional moment quickly turned into something more—leading to an explosive development many fans have been waiting to see. Sidwell also continues moving pieces behind the scenes as the larger mystery in Port Charles unfolds. Shannon's out on a work/romantic getaway, so Amanda is joined by guest co-host Ryan for this weekly recap of General Hospital (Monday, February 23 through Friday, February 27), and his “newbie POV” makes the chaos in Port Charles even more entertaining. A major focus this week is the escalating situation involving Britt and Sidwell, and how Lucas gets pulled deeper into it after learning that Marco knew Sidwell has been forcing Britt to continue Faison's cold-fusion research. Britt is being controlled through her Huntington's medication, with access tightened to keep her dependent and compliant, and Lucas is determined to help her break free by getting a sample that can be reverse-engineered. Britt considers a risky plan involving sodium pentothal, but Lucas pushes back and instead pressures Marco to help secure a vial—knowing it could put all three of them in serious danger once Sidwell's people realize a vial is missing. Outside of Britt's crisis, the week delivers plenty of relationship and power-play fallout. Maxie returns to Deception and quickly realizes Sidwell has embedded himself deeper than anyone expected. Meanwhile, her personal life takes a turn when she chooses Spinelli, leaving Nathan pivoting toward Lulu—setting up an inevitable, messy conversation with Maxie. Willow's new political chapter begins with a rocky first interview where Nina jumps in to keep her from floundering, Drew remains incapacitated under suspicious circumstances, and Sidwell continues to maneuver behind the scenes. Sonny and Justine cross a line, Jason warns Sonny about Callum, and the larger Sidwell/WSB web keeps tightening. By the end of the week, it's clear the stakes are rising fast, and the biggest question is whether Lucas can actually help Britt before Sidwell tightens the leash even more. Smoke inhalation is the most common cause of fire-related deaths. Fire victims are exposed to toxic gases like hydrogen cyanide and carbon monoxide. High levels of cyanide can cause rapid symptoms like confusion, breathing problems and collapse. The body's cells can't use oxygen efficiently, which can quickly lead to cellular death and organ failure, so rapid treatment is vital. CYANOKITS containing the powerful and effective antidote to cyanide, hydroxocobalamin, have been carried by our FDNY ALS Units and EMS officers since 2008. In late 2020, REMAC protocols changed, requiring all ALS units in New York City to carry the kits. And lives have been saved. Captain Randy Li welcomes EMS Special Operations Command's Captain Joseph Spinelli to the podcast to discuss this life-saving treatment.

General Hospital Recap: February 16–20, 2026 This week focused on Maxie learning that Nathan and Britt are alive, which led her to question whether Faison could be too. Nathan told Liesl he would only consider reconciling with Maxie if that's what James wanted. At the Brown Dog, Jason encouraged Spinelli not to count himself out, while Liesl made it clear Nathan was back. Chase raised questions about Michael's key ring, leading to a warrant at the Quartermaine mansion. Nathan collected the keys, and one matched Drew's door. Ric warned Michael to stay quiet after Wiley mentioned the keys. Turner advised Dante to distance himself since they know Michael didn't shoot Drew. Willow resigned from her nursing job and said she needed to “see this through” with Drew. Sidwell suggested Willow step into Drew's congressional role, while Laura encouraged Alexis to consider running. Kristina tried to push Molly's manuscript on Cody after he joined a Pride and Prejudice book club, but he refused to read it unless Molly asked. Friday was devoted to Luke Spencer. Lulu found a photo of her dad and, with Tracy, tried to honor him first at the church and then at the Brown Dog. Haunted Star poker chips appeared around town, Liz's mention of Aiden getting his license reminded Laura of Luke, and the group gathered at the pier to release lanterns and toast him. Lulu saw Luke walking into the fog and said, “See you later, Dad.” Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Learn more about your ad choices. This week Rich has on comedian Max Spinelli!
Cargo theft is no longer a random crime — it's organized, digital, and spreading faster than the industry wants to admit. In this episode of The Long Haul, Adam sits down with Danielle Spinelli, better known as The Fraud Girl — a veteran broker turned fraud-fighting expert and host of Tell Me Everything. Now with Descartes | MyCarrierPortal, Danielle works on the front lines of vetting carriers, uncovering scams, and helping brokers and shippers stay one step ahead of organized theft rings. Fresh off a ride-along with the California Highway Patrol's Cargo Theft Task Force, Danielle gives a behind-the-scenes look at what's really happening on rail lines, at docks, and in digital load boards — and how small carriers are being targeted, framed, or used without even realizing it. This one's not theory — it's field intel. Follow The Long Haul Podcast Other FreightWaves Shows Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
